Monday February 28th, 2011 Live From: Joe Louis Arena in Detroit Michigan 1st Hour: Monday Nitro opened with the new reigning and defending WCW World Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel standing in the ring with his manager Bobby “the Brain” Heenan. Heenan grabbed the mic from ring announcer Dave Penzer. Heenan then congratulated Bockwinkel on becoming the new World Champion before saying that Bockwinkel will bring true greatness to the history of the WCW World Championship. The two men were then interrupted by Antonio Rocca who appeared on the entrance ramp with a house mic. Rocca then said that tonight he was granted a tag team match against Nick Bockwinkel and a partner of his choice. Rocca then said that if he won then at Mayhem he would be granted a rematch against Bockwinkel. Heenan responded by saying that was a load of crap, but if he wanted a tag match then Rocca should turn around and meet Bockwinkel’s partner, as Rocca turned around he was blasted by running clothesline by Bockwinkel’s long time partner Ray Stevens. Stevens then proceeded to lay the boots to Rocca as Bockwinkel ran up the entrance to join in the fun. After a few minutes security came out and drove the two men off. “Vigilante” Charles Seguin w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink defeated “Pure Original” Chris Sinclair via pinfall after connecting with a fifth Death Sentence of the match at the 6:35 mark. Seguin completely dominated Sinclair for the second straight night. This time Seguin was able to counter every single attack his former mentor tossed his way. “The Solid Man” William Muldoon was then shown making his way through the backstage area when he was stopped by Bill Apter. Apter asked Muldoon his thoughts on his match against Mike Fortune at SuperBrawl. Muldoon said that if it wasn’t for the Singapore Cane stipulation he would have walked out of SuperBrawl as the new Television Champion. Muldoon then said that in tonight’s rematch he would show the entire world how right he was.Doring & Roadkill defeated London & Kendrick via pinfall when Doring & Roadkill nailed Paul London with the Buggy Bang at the 12:45 mark of the match. Doring and Roadkill managed to keep Paul London isolated for the better part of the match and nearly beat him via count out but Brian Kendrick managed to distract the ref long enough for London to roll into the ring. The new reigning and defending WCW Tag Team Champions Fuji Vice were shown backstage. Mr. Fuji then announced that he and Muraco have signed a new manager and they introduced Jim Cornette. Cornette then came into frame and announced that any team that wanted a shot at Fuji Vice and the Tag Team championship would now have to go through his other tag team the Midnight Express. Cornette then announced that later in the show the Huckleberry team of Hillbilly Jim & Cousin Luke would be the first team to take up that challenge.Andre the Giant defeated “the CEO” Richard Livingstone w/ Tammy Lynn Sytch via disqualification when the CEO blasted the Giant with the Steel Briefcase as Andre was stalking him outside of the ring. Following the DQ Richard slide into the ring and was celebrating escaping the Giant’s wrath when Andre climbed into the ring wielding a steel chair and then proceeded to stalk Richard and Tammy up the entrance ramp and into the backstage area. WCW Nitro announcers Schiavone & Stubbington were then shown at ringside where they recapped all the action from yesterday’s SuperBrawl PPV. They then said that the next match would be the third rematch from the PPV as the newly crowned WCW Television Champion Mike Fortune would defend against the man he beat last night “the Solid Man” William Muldoon
Mike Fortune then entered the arena carrying a mic and he announced to the world that he now had a manager and introduced Sir Oliver Humperdink before the two men headed to the ring.Mike Fortune: Hitman for Hire (c) w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink defeated “The Solid Man” William Muldoon via pinfall after shocking his challenger with a quick roll up after Muldoon missed a charging shoulder tackle in the corner at the 7:45 mark of the match, surprisingly it was only the second time Fortune had attempted to win the match. The first one came early into the match when he caught Muldoon in the Hangman. Muldoon then managed to reverse the momentum for the remainder of the match until the very end. 2nd Hour: The second hour of Nitro opened with new WCW Women’s Champion April Hunter making her way to the commentary desk where she joined Schiavone and Stubbington who congratulated her on becoming the Champ. They then quickly got her thoughts on the attack by Jazz following the match. April said that she respected Jazz for being aggressive but she wasn’t about to lay down for anyone and that if Jazz wants a shot at the title then she better bring her A game when they fought.Jazz defeated Nora Greenwald via disqualification at the 6:23 mark of the match when April Hunter stormed the ring and blasted Jazz with the belt while she had Nora in the STF. April then nailed Jazz with the Head Hunter before leaving the ring. “Crimson Dragon” Brett Johnson was then shown backstage with Bill Apter, when asked about the attack suffered at the hands of Sullivan’s faction Brett simply replied that next week Osbourne & Sullivan would get theirs as he had just come from Charlie Cox’s office and the Commissioner had booked a tag match with Sullivan and Osbourne on one side and he and a partner of his choosing on the other. When Apter asked who Johnson’s partner would be the Crimson Dragon just smiled and said that Apter, Sullivan and Osbourne would have to wait until next week for the surprise unveiling as he walked off.Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey) w/ Jim Cornette defeated Hillbilly Jim & Cousin Luke via pinfall after nailing Jim with a Double Goozle at the 21:56 mark of the match. The Midnight Express completely dominated Jim & Luke and seemed to be toying with the two men for most of the match. Rob Van Dam was then shown backstage where he was interviewed by Bill Apter, when asked if he was going to be a part of the King of Extreme tournament next month at Mayhem RVD said that he was going to instead on beating DDP for the United States Championship as he was already given a shot by Commissioner Charlie Cox, and that match would take place at Mayhem. Sabu and Bill Alfonzo then walked by and RVD wished Sabu the best of luck in his upcoming match against the Sandman.The Sandman and Sabu w/ Bill Alfonzo wrestled to a double disqualification while they were brawling outside of the ring at the 5:57 mark of the match Following the match Schiavone and Stubbington were shown at ringside. The then mentioned that at the upcoming King of Extreme tournament at Mayhem there wouldn’t be any disqualifications or count outs as all three rounds would be competed under various extreme rules matches. They then released the names of the eight men who will be competing for the first ever WCW King of Extreme those names are: Sabu, the Sandman, “King of the Old School” Steve Corino, Super Crazy, Chris Candido, Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible & Al SnowPenny Banner defeated Sara Del Ray via pinfall after connecting with a Sunset Flip at the 16:45 mark of the match. The two women battled back and forth as the progressed, they also battled all over the ring side area and took numerous high risks 3rd Hour: The third hour of Nitro opened with “Pure Original” Chris Sinclair sitting on table in the trainer’s office when Bill Apter walked in asked Sinclair for his thoughts on the past two days. Sinclair responded by saying he wasn’t going to make excuses for his two losses to Seguin, he then said that at SuperBrawl when Seguin threw him to the floor from the top rope he landed awkwardly and is nursing a minor injury to his knees. Sinclair then said that next week he wanted another shot at Seguin if the Commissioner allowed it. He also said that he has a lot more to prove to both himself and his former protégé before he said that he needed to get this medical evaluation over with.“Impact” Eddie Osbourne w/ Kevin Sullivan defeated “King of Old School” Steve Corino w/ “Elegant” Eddie Fyne via disqualification when Corino blasted Osbourne with the time keeper’s bell after Eddie Fyne tossed it to him at the 8:49 mark of the match. The two men spent almost the entire match brawling around the ringside area swapping momentum back and forth Schiavone and Stubbington were then once again shown at ringside. This time the two men recapped the action from the show so far, they also announced that in the semi main event two new men in WCW would be facing off and they are looking forward to seeing who those men are.King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby “the Brain” Heenan defeated Angelo Mosca via pinfall after connecting with the Avalanche at the 21:35 mark of the match that saw both big men pull out all the stops to knock the other man off his feet, including both men attempting to come off the top rope. Bill Apter was then shown backstage with the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Antonio “Argentina” Rocca. Apter asked Rocca if he was okay following the assault by Bockwinkel and Stevens at the top of the show. Rocca said he was a little sore still but he and his partner will be more then capable of bringing Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens to their knees as Rocca moves one step closer to getting back the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Rocca then walked off before Apter could ask him who his partner will be.Ivan Koloff defeated John Pesek via pinfall after shocking him a spear at the 5:56 mark of the match. The two men brawled back and forth before Koloff drove the wind out of Pesek with the spear for the win. Once again Schiavone & Stubbington were shown at ringside the two men quickly speculated on who Antonio Rocca had chosen as a partner in the upcoming main event before Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens were introduced with their manager Bobby “the Brain” Heenan. As they waited in the ring Antonio “Argentina” Rocca came out and introduced his partner, the Legendary Lou Thesz.MAIN EVENT:Antonio Rocca & Lou Thesz defeated Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens w/ Bobby “the Brain” Heenan via pinfall when Lou Thesz nailed Ray Stevens with the Thesz Press at the 34:12 mark of the match, the two teams battled back and forth for the entire match with several near falls registered by both teams. A few minutes before the finish Steven and Bockwinkel had nearly won when Bockwinkel had Thesz locked in the Bockwinkel Sleeper, but Rocca saved the match and his opportunity for a rematch by nailing Bockwinkel with a dropkick to the back to break it up. Bockwinkel then tagged out and Stevens lost momentum when he attempted a Huracanrana that was blocked by Thesz who then quickly nailed the Thesz Press and picked up the win.

Saturday March 5th, 2011 Pre-taped at the Expo Hall in Tampa Bay Florida WCW Saturday Night opened with a shot of the Saturday Night announce team of Mark Madden & “Enforcer” Bill Stubbington standing in front of the Saturday Night Backdrop the two men welcomed fans to an extra special edition of WCW Saturday Night, as tonight two champions will be in action. Up first is the new United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page in a Non-Title match against the ever dangerous Mister X, and the main event of the evening will feature the reigning WCW Television Champion Mike Fortune making his second title defence, and his opponent tonight Nigel McGuinness who should be accompanied by his manager “Elegant” Eddie Fyne. They then sent to the ring for the opening contest.NON TITLE MATCHDiamond Dallas Page (c) defeated Mister X via pinfall after nailing Mister X with the Diamond Cutter out of nowhere at the 6:34 mark of the match. For most of the match Mister X was on the offensive and pretty much countered anything the United States Champ threw his way. Stubbington & Madden were once again shown standing before the WCW Saturday Night backdrop where they introduced a highlight package featuring action from the past Monday Nitro’s Main Event tag team match between Antonio Rocca & Lou Thesz and the team of Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens. After the short package was over Stubbington & Madden reminded fans that with the win Antonio Rocca had now earned a rematch with Nick Bockwinkel for the WCW World Championship at the upcoming Mayhem Pay Per View.“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson defeated Steve Rocker via pinfall after catching Rocker with a missile dropkick at the 4:56 mark of the match. Early in the match Rocker registered a near fall on Danielson when hit Danielson with a jumping lariat. Danielson then turned the momentum around when Rocker missed a cross body block from the top rope. Bill Apter was then shown in front of the Saturday Night Backdrop where he introduced WCW’s power couple, “The CEO” Richard Livingstone & and his wife Tammy Lynn Sytch. Apter asked the two about their recent run ins with Andre the Giant. Richard said it was unfortunate that Tammy was fooled into believing Giant X was just another of WCW’s enhancement talents. He then said that since Andre seems to be going out of his way to interject himself into their business then one day soon Richard was going to have to put Andre in his place. The two then walked off arm in arm.“Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase w/ Virgil defeated Gary Stanton via pinfall after Stanton missed a running shoulder block in the corner and DiBiase rolled him up for a quick pinfall at the 17:34 mark. DiBiase started strong and tried to out Stanton away early, but Stanton managed reverse the momentum about five minutes in and he almost dominated DiBiase for the remainder of the match. The WCW Saturday Night announce team were then shown in front of the Saturday Night Backdrop. The two men then reminded fans to check out their local listings for WCW Worldwide, WCW’s new syndicated program found on most stations either late Saturday night or early Sunday afternoons. Then with the help of the WCW graphics department they showcased dozens of local networks that are airing WCW Worldwide and the times that it airs in those areas.MAIN EVENT:Mike Fortune: Hitman for Hire (c) w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink defeated Nigel McGuinness w/ “Elegant” Eddie Fyne via submission after catching him in the Hangman for the fourth time of the match at the 24:14 mark of the match. The two men brought everything they had to this match and both men had several near falls on each other. In the end the Champ had the momentum a little longer and he managed to pick up the win and retain the championship.

Scheduled to air on the March 4th-6th weekend Pre-taped at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis Indiana The inaugural edition of WCW Worldwide opened with WCW Commissioner Charlie Cox standing in the center of the ring. He welcomed fans to a truly great night of World Class Wrestling action. He then said that on tonight’s show WCW Television Champion Mike Fortune: Hitman for Hire would make his third title defence of the week. He then sent it the WCW Worldwide announce team of Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden, who where then shown standing in front of the WCW Worldwide backdrop. The two men once again thanked fans for tuning and quickly went to the action in the ring.Justin Credible defeated George South via pinfall after blasting South with his Singapore Cane at the 3:34 mark of the match. South tried to start off on the offensive but Credible quickly changed momentum and remained there for the remainder of the match. A highlight package was then shown from SuperBrawl showing Fuji Vice winning the WCW Tag Team Championship, as the video faded out Fuji Vice & Jim Cornette were shown standing in front of the Worldwide backdrop. Cornette then said that next week on Worldwide the Tag Team Champions were going to be in action and that they were going to show the entire world why they are the greatest tag team WCW has ever seen.Giant Baba defeated Johnny Rodz via pinfall after nailing Rodz with back to back piledriver’s at the 5:45 mark of the match. Baba completely dominated Rodz in this contest, never once giving Rodz an opening to try to get onto the offensive. Baba then grabbed the house mic from ring announcer David Penzer and demanded that WCW start giving him some real competition or he was going back to Japan where his greatness is truly respected. Charlie Cox then came out and said that on WCW Saturday Night next weekend Baba would be given a great opportunity at a real challenge.Rikidozan defeated “Belgian Brawler” DuPae Rupa via pinfall after nailing DuPae Rupa with the Thunderous Chop at the 4:34 mark of the match. DuPae started the match off with several quick counters, but momentum completely changed when he attempted to come off the top rope and was knocked to the floor. Rikidozan then grabbed Rupa and tossed him back in the ring before ending the match with his finisher. Schiavone & Madden were once again shown standing in front of the Worldwide backdrop. The two men recapped the action so far before they hyped the upcoming main event, the Television Championship match between the reigning champion Mike Fortune: Hitman for Hire and his challenger tonight S.D. JonesMAIN EVENT:Mike Fortune: Hitman for Hire (c) w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink defeated S.D. Jones via count out after he blasted S.D. Jones with several Hitman Clothesline while the two fought on the outside of the ring at the 14:54 mark of the match. The two men brawled back and forth, but Fortune managed to keep on the offensive for the better part of the match, but he couldn’t find any chances to put his veteran challenger away, so he ended up taking the short cut to retain his championship.

Mike is on a tear right now. If he runs for an extended period as the WCW TV Champ I am gonna give him a World Title shot. I have also made the official decision to use every single LOW & LOTF card in WCW. Which I think will help give WCW a great diversity.
And look for the return of WCW Thunder sometime near the summer months once I get a working schedule down to play 4 cards a week.

The following matches have been announced for the March 7th Monday Nitro
For the second week in a row "Pure Original" Chris Sinclair will try to stop the momentum his former student "Vigilante" Charles Seguin is building against him.
WCW Television Champion Mike Fortune: Hitman for Hire will defend against his toughest challenge yet as he defends against Jushin "Thunder" Liger.
And finally Curt & Larry Hennig will be returning to the WCW Nitro ring when they face off against B.G. & Kip, the James Gang

Monday March 7th, 2011 Live From: Verizon Center in Washington D.C. 1st Hour: Nitro opened with a video replay of last week’s main event tag team match which featured Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens losing to Antonio “Argentina” Rocca & his surprise partner Lou Thesz. As the video faded out Lou Thesz was shown standing in the ring holding a mic. He then proceeded to welcome the fans to Monday Nitro before saying that his debut match last week was one of the true highlights of his career. He then said that he didn’t just come to WCW to help people out. He came here to win the WCW World Championship. He then called out Antonio Rocca, Rocca came out and hit the ring. Thesz then said to Rocca that because of his help Rocca now had a rematch at Mayhem with Nick Bockwinkel. Thesz then said that if Rocca was a true ring warrior then he would accept his challenge here tonight for a #1 Contender’s Match. Rocca replied by saying he would be honoured to have a one on one match with Thesz. Rocca then wished Thesz the best of luck and the two men shook hands.Mike Fortune: Hitman for Hire (c) w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink defeated Jushin “Thunder” Liger via submission after locking Liger in the Hangman at the 14:56 mark of the match. Liger dominated the match in the early going and nearly won the match several times when he had Fortune on the ropes. If it wasn’t for a timely interference by Sir Oliver Humperdink Liger would have walked away as the new WCW Television Champion. Schiavone and Stubbington were then shown at ringside and the two men recapped the opening segment between Lou Thesz and Antonio Rocca. Stubbington then said that Commissioner Charlie Cox had informed them that the match would take place in tonight’s main event. They also announced that the first round of the upcoming King of Extreme tournament would be held under No Disqualification Rules before they went to the ring for the next match.The James Gang (B.G. & Kip) defeated the Hennig’s (Curt & Larry) via pinfall when Kip James nailed Larry Hennig with the Standing Leg Drop at the 7:34 mark of the match. Following the match the James Gang quickly left, leaving the Hennig’s in the ring. Curt then helped his father up. Only to blast him back down with the Axe. Curt then nailed Larry with the Hennig Plex before mounting and delivering several vicious shots to Larry busting him open. Curt then left the ring as officials came out to break up the attack.“Overnight Male” Andrew Radke w/ Phantasy defeated “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson via submission after locking Danielson in the Overnight Express for the second time of the match at the 14:17 mark of the match. Curt Hennig was then stopped backstage by Bill Apter who asked him why he brutally attacked his father less than twenty minutes ago. Curt simply said that Apter would have to wait to find out later in the show when he made a formal announcement. Curt then walked off before Apter could ask any more questions.“Cowboy” Bob Orton defeated Danny Hodge via pinfall after connecting with back to back Superplex’s at the 9:38 mark of the match. The two men battled back and forth throughout the match, but in the end it was a failed top rope attack by Hodge that helped set Orton up for the win. 2nd Hour: The second hour of Monday Nitro opened with a shot of Bill Apter backstage. He introduced his guest at this time the “Crimson Dragon” Brett Johnson. Johnson walked over and thanked Apter for giving him this interview time. Apter then asked Johnson about his disqualification victory over Eddie Osbourne when the Dungeon of Doom attacked him at SuperBrawl. Johnson said that if that was how Osbourne and Sullivan wanted to play then he was more than willing to play at their level. He said that tonight he and his chosen partner would teach both Sullivan and Osbourne a lesson in humility. When Apter asked Johnson who that was Johnson simply walked away.“Sensational” Sherri Martel defeated Daizee Haze via disqualification when Haze was disqualified for choking Martel out using the ringside barricade at the 5:23 mark of the match. “The CEO” Richard Livingstone was shown sitting in an office backstage when his wife Tammy Lynn Sytch entered with a clipboard held close to her chest. Richard looked up and smiled at his lovely wife who returned the smile as she walked around the desk to stand by her husband’ side. She then leaned over and gave him a kiss as she slides the clipboard in front of him. Tammy then told Rick that this was the contract he was waiting for that would allow him to make fifteen percent off all future earnings of wrestlers she would manage. Rick smiled and quickly signed the contract as Tammy was shown with an evil smile across her face. She then spun Rick around and sat in his lap and gave him a long lingering kiss.Ox Baker defeated Yukon Eric via pinfall after hitting Eric with the dreaded Heart Punch at the 1:34 mark of the match. Following the match Yukon Eric was carried out on a stretcher by medical officials. “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase was then shown backstage when he pulled out a cell phone and quickly read a message. The camera then panned out to reveal Chris Candido standing beside Ted DiBiase. DiBiase turned to Candido and said that Tammy had fulfilled her end of their deal and that anytime now they could drop the hammer on the so called CEO. Candido suggested that they wait a few weeks so Richard can get comfortable with his power base. DiBiase laughed and said that was an excellent suggestion“The CEO” Richard Livingstone w/ Tammy Lynn Sytch defeated Larry Zbyszko via pinfall after connecting with the Corporate Execution at the 5:23 mark of the match. Richard and Tammy then celebrated in the ring by embracing in a passionate kiss in the center of the ring. “Impact” Eddie Osbourne & Kevin Sullivan were then stopped backstage by Bill Apter who asked them who they thought was going to be Brett Johnson’s partner in their upcoming match. Sullivan said that it didn’t matter who he found to become his partner as Osbourne and himself are set to once again teach Johnson a lesson in humility.“Impact” Eddie Osbourne & Kevin Sullivan then hit the ring and awaited the arrival of “Crimson Dragon” Brett Johnson. Brett Johnson came out and introduced his partner, the legendary Bruiser Brody. The two men quickly stormed the ring and cleared the ring of Osbourne and Sullivan. The ref quickly restored order and the match began.Kevin Sullivan & “Impact” Eddie Osbourne defeated “Crimson Dragon” & Bruiser Brody via pinfall when Osbourne pinned Johnson at the 0:45 mark of the match following a beat down by Bruiser Brody on Brett Johnson immediately following the opening bell by nailing Johnson in the face with a big boot before nailing Johnson with the Jumping Knee Drop. Following the bell Sullivan and Osbourne then joined in on the attack as the three men brutally beat down Brett Johnson leaving him a bloody mess lying in the center of the ring. The three men then left the ring together as Sullivan and Osbourne were shown laughing together with Bruiser Brody. 3rd Hour: Bill Apter was then shown backstage when Kevin Sullivan, Eddie Osbourne & Bruiser Brody walked up and said that Brett Johnson was a true fool if he believed for one single second he had any friends here in WCW besides that hack “Pure Original” Chris Sinclair. Sullivan then said that he had signed Brody to become a member of the Dungeon of Doom ages ago and was just waiting for the opportune time to bring Brody into WCW. Sullivan then went on to say that with Brody in the Dungeon they were are now the most dominating faction in the entire history of WCW before leading his men off.“Pure Original” Chris Sinclair defeated “Vigilante” Charles Seguin w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink via pinfall after rebounding off the ropes and nailing Seguin with a Spear at the 18:34 mark of the match. Sinclair was all over Seguin in this match and despite interference from the rest of the House of Humperdink Sinclair still managed to win this match. Following the match Sinclair quickly made his exit through the crowd before the House of Humperdink could regroup and spoil his victory. Bill Apter was once again shown backstage, this time he brought out the reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel and his manager Bobby “the Brain” Heenan. As the two men walked over Bill Apter thanked them for taking the time for the interview. Apter then asked their thoughts on Bockwinkel either facing Antonio Rocca or Lou Thesz at Mayhem later in the month. Heenan responded by saying that it didn’t matter who Bockwinkel faced as he would continue to reign as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Bockwinkel also said that neither man could beat him one on one and last week Rocca and Thesz got lucky only because he and Stevens weren’t prepared to face Lou Thesz. Bockwinkel also said that now that he knows Thesz is lurking in the WCW Locker Room he was prepared for him and if Thesz won then at Mayhem he would learn that he belongs way down the pecking order. Bockwinkel followed that up by saying that if Rocca won tonight then at Mayhem he would once again learn that Bockwinkel was truly the better man.Road Warriors w/ Paul Ellering defeated the Heavenly Bodies w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink via pinfall after nailing Stan Lane with the Doomsday Device at the 7:34 mark of the match, that was completely dominated by the Road Warriors and was nearly won on several occasions. Tony Schiavone & Bill Stubbington were then shown at ringside. The two men then welcomed their guest at commentary for the upcoming match, Rob Van Dam, who they announced was booked to face the United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page at Mayhem. Once RVD had joined them they announced that next week that RVD would be booked in a match against an opponent of DDP’s choosing and if RVD won he would be able to choose the stipulation for the match. RVD said that no matter who DDP selected that person would lose and then DDP would find himself in a winless situation as Mr. Monday Night beat him at Mayhem and became the new United States Champion. Schiavone then sent to the action in the ring as DDP & his opponent D’Lo Brown made their way to the ring. NON-TITLE MATCHD’Lo Brown defeated Diamond Dallas Page (c) via disqualification when DDP was disqualified for blasting D’Lo with a steel chair as he was attemting a dive to the outside of the ring at the 7:45 mark of the match. DDP seemed extremely focused on RVD throughout the match continuously looking over at his upcoming challenger. Immediately following the match Commissioner Charlie Cox was then shown walking out onto the entrance ramp where he announced that due to DDP’s loss tonight he would now have to defend the United States Championship against D’Lo Brown next week and that the winner would go onto face Rob Van Dam at Mayhem.MAIN EVENT: #1 CONTENDERS MATCHLou Thesz defeated Antonio “Argentina” Rocca via pinfall after hitting Rocca with the Thesz Press at the 6:23 mark of the match that was completely dominated by Thesz. Following the match Thesz helped Rocca up and the two men shook hands and Rocca raised Thesz’s arm in the air as the Heenan Family stormed the ring and beat both men down as Nitro went off the air.
