CARD 1
GALAXIAN FEDERATION – DEIMOS PERENNIAL – Sample Fight Card
2087 – (8/17/09)
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to what promises to be a very exciting night of blockbuster matches coming to you from inside Mars’ hollow moon of Deimos. Our seven contests tonight will illustrate the epic battle between the Galaxian Heroes and the Galaxian Villains.
Let’s get started, folks. The wrestlers for our first match are beaming to the ring now.
VANITY vs. OMEGA ----------
You may recall, Vanity has recently left the Neptunian Space Croppers high and dry at the urgings of Killer Queen. Our newest Galaxian Villain and “ladies champion” is definitely glam’d up tonight. Ah, here comes the Galaxian Federation’s first champion, Omega of Cetus. Age has not diminished this formidable hero, though one has to wonder if we’ll get to witness the Tomahawk Thrust tonight while thoughts of Omega’s son, Star Warrior’s upcoming match with Thantos weigh on his mind.
Vanity gets right to it, throwing Omega into the ropes. Vanity lands his flying fists, and fails a pin attempt. Omega takes control and does the Cosmic War Dance not once, but twice. Vanity tries an illegal foreign object, but Omega is undeterred and sets up with another Cosmic War Dance. Vanity avoids the pin attempt, but after Omega lands a flying body smash from the top turnbuckle and then nails Vanity with a stunning cross body block, it’s all over. OMEGA WINS BY PINFALL.
RENEGADE vs. DEATH KNIGHT----------
The wild man, Renegade, is now entering the ring. Renegade has been on a violent tear ever since Vanity betrayed him; let’s see if he can focus his anger tonight. If you’re looking for mystery, look no further than our next grappler. The young and powerful Death Knight has prompted some robotic rumors of late. We’re glad to see he has taken a night off from doing Thantos’ bidding to show us what he’s really made of.
Renegade begins his assault with a series of forearm smashes. As Renegade’s relentless beatings continue, Death Knight is forced to escape the ring twice, only to scramble helplessly back into the ring to avoid a count out. After a devastating flying knee drop from Renegade, Death Knight seeks respite outside the ring for what will be his last time. Not letting up, Renegade comes out of the ring to deliver a piledriver directly into the concrete floor. Death Knight is wrecked; Renegade has not relinquished control once this bout. RENEGADE WINS BY COUNT OUT.
WOLF vs. EXECUTIONER---------- [FEUD]
Wolf, the ultimate loner, is now making his way to the ring. This dangerous Gladiator continues his brutal and animalistic journey to the belt tonight, and maybe we’ll see blood. Well, not if the diabolical Executioner has anything to say about it. Though most wrestlers would rather avoid a match with the unpredictable Wolf, the Executioner welcomes this chance. Perhaps there will be blood after all as Executioner tries to take Wolf’s head with the Headsman Guillotine.
Wolf leads with a knee drop, but Executioner takes control and administers the Hangman’s Clothesline. Executioner tries a death jump, however Wolf moves out of the way, leaving Executioner to smash painfully into the mat. Wolf immediately goes for his finisher. Wow, that was fast! WOLF WINS WITH HIS SAVAGE FACE CLAW.
We have a treat for you tonight… A Three-Way Tag Match featuring…
SOCIETY OF DEATH vs. THE FLYING TITANS---------- [FEUD]
This is a match-up for the ages. In one corner, we have The Flying Titan, the most acrobatic and agile wrestlers in the federation, and in the other corner, we have a group of thugs put together for the sole purpose of carrying on the Invincible Kraken’s war with the Titans. The Society has chosen to lead with the primitive Mutant. Mutant’s only goal is to inflict pain. The Flying Titans will lead with the aggressive Pit Viper who still has a score to settle with the Society. Pit Viper is fueled by revenge for the scarring left when Mutant and Ghengis Khan permanently damaged his face.
Pit Viper starts strong with an atomic drop which is reversed by Mutant. Pit Viper escapes the ring, but is led right back into Mutant’s clutches while avoiding a count out. Mutant makes good on a clothesline and tries a flying body smash while Pit Viper is still reeling. Pit Viper knows he’s in trouble and escapes the ring again. Mutant follows and ends Pit Viper’s night with a piledriver into the concrete. Pit Viper has no hope of making it back into the ring while Kraken and Ghengis Khan keep Lord Nexus and Pulsar from helping their friend. Not the kind of 3-way action we expected. I guess it only takes one Society of Death member to win a Three-Way Tag Match. SOCIETY OF DEATH WINS BY COUNT OUT.
It’s bonus time! We have another special match scheduled for you… A Cosmic Cage Match.
COMMANDER SAM vs. COMRADE TERROR---------- [FEUD]
Tonight, one of the Earth-born wrestlers in the federation, Commander Sam, brings his explosive, combative style to bear on his nemesis. Sam’s loyalty to the Federation Defense Fighters and love for Earth feed one of the bloodiest feuds in the federation, for no one despises the FDF or the Earth quite like Comrade Terror. Comrade Terror is a ruthless and dangerous foe. This contest will be intense and will not disappoint.
Comrade Terror initiates the battle with two front-face locks which are both evaded. Commander Sam unloads a string of moves: gut wrench, hip toss, Sam’s Slam, abdominal stretch, and even a bite. After a crisscross between the ropes, Comrade Terror steals the momentum. Leap frogs again ending in a deadly running clothesline by Comrade Terror. Unrelenting Comrade Terror unleashes top tier moves like the Terror Face Claw and Comrade Neck Clutch. Commander Sam keeps Comrade Terror from climbing out of the cage, only to take more punishment in the form of another Terror Face Claw and an ATOMIC WARHEAD. Sam’s not out yet and once again he yanks Comrade Terror off the cage. Sam is battered and sustains another ATOMIC WARHEAD. COMRADE TERROR SEES HIS CHANCE AND EXITS THE CAGE A WINNER.
And, now... The Main Events:
THE GREEK GODS (Galaxian Tag Team Champions) vs. GLADIATORS OF AETHRA (Number One Contender)---------- [FEUD]
Proteus and Massacre look to be the duo to get this party rolling. Proteus, one of the “original wrestlers” from Ancient Greece, will no doubt have all his power and strength on display in defense of the Greek Gods’ Tag Team Belts. Massacre, the “brains” of the Gladiators’ operation, has been eyeing the belts for some time and has plans for he and Brute to dominate Galaxian Tag Team action.
The bell sounds and Massacre starts laying on the pressure. Two reversals later, Proteus is stunned and desperately tags Actagon, a pillar of fundamental wrestling expertise. Actagon is quick with a clothesline, but is thwarted by Massacre who practically puts on a clinic with four finishers in a row, each followed by a pin attempt. Looks like even gods bleed. In and out of the ring, the battle rages, led by a merciless Massacre. Finally, Actagon successfully tags the waiting Proteus. Proteus applies an arm bar, and Massacre fails to tag Brute. Side headlock – Massacre looks drained while failing another tag attempt. Proteus initiates a test of strength into a Grecian Power Drop, but Massacre recovers. Just when you thought Massacre had nothing left, he surprises us, and more importantly Proteus, with an atomic knee drop. Proteus is a goner, and MASSACRE WINS BY PIN. I’ll tell you, folks, the replay just doesn’t do this one justice. The Gladiators are now the Galaxian Tag Team Champs.
THANTOS (Galaxian Champion) vs. STAR WARRIOR (Number One Contender)---------- [FEUD]
Thantos, the evil leader of the Galaxian Villains, defends his title tonight against his former tag team partner. Expect to see Thantos’ speed and power on display tonight. Star Warrior, son of Omega, stakes his claim on behalf of the Federation Defense Fighters now, and the crowd looks on, secretly hoping the good guys come out on top.
Star Warrior begins his assault, but finds himself thrown into a turnbuckle and subsequently smashed by a shoulder tackle. Thantos lands a succession of blows to Star Warrior’s face. These superstars are virtually taking turns dishing out two moves from their arsenals before getting reversed; we’re witnessing an amazing race for the belt. Eventually, Thantos leaves the ring. Here comes Star Warrior, but Thantos seems to have a plan and body slams his foe on the hard concrete. Star Warrior gets thrown back into the ring where Thantos skillfully applies the MASTERLOCK. Miraculously, Star Warrior breaks free and slides out to the arena floor. Thantos comes out of the ring as well, and a wild brawl erupts. Oh, no. The referee announces a disqualification. Star Warrior has lost, much to the chagrin of the fans as a deluge of boos echoes around the arena. THANTOS RETAINS THE BELT BY DISQUALIFICATION.
This just in: the Galaxian Federation has a new promoter, Todd “Biggin” McFadyen.
“From here on out, things will change. This federation will now be known as GWF – Bigtime Entertainment. Our next major event will see a changing of the guard as all of the GWF titles are vacated. We’re excited about our vision of the future, and we hope you tune in to see it unfold.”
