Match #7: World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors defeated The Mongols (managed by Sir Oliver Humperdink) in a non-title match
- The Road Warriors won this match when Road Warrior Animal pinned Bepo Mongol via a DOOMSDAY DEVICE as they get set to defend the World Tag Team Championship against The Mongols next week in a barbed wire steel cage tag team match at Armageddon.

- After the referee called for the bell to disqualify Inoki, Gotch and Rikidozan then began pummeling both Rogers and Valentine until Hackenschmidt and Zbyszko, the other two members of the Four Horsemen, arrived to help out Rogers and Valentine. It's now time for Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Smackdown brand to present Armageddon!
(note: I'm playing out this PPV a few days early because I'm not certain if I can post it on the 25th).
(note: There was no EAWA show last week because the EAWA brand already presented their holiday PPV December to Dismember. So the EAWA is on vacation until next month).
Before Armageddon started, there was a 30 minute edition of Major League Wrestling: Fight Night which recapped all of the major storylines heading into today's PPV and also included the following dark match.
Dark Match: The Armstrongs defeated Koko B. Ware and George South
- Brad Armstrong pinned Ware via a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP for the win.
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Armageddon- presented by MLW's Smackdown brand Thursday December 25, 2008 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Third of the show) (note: all ratings are based on a 4 star rating system)
Match #1: Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez defeated Tiger Mask**
- Before this matchup between these 2 fan favorites started, both competitors shook hands in a sign of good sportsmanship.
- RAW's Gomez successfully retained the Cruiserweight Championship by pinning Tiger Mask via a Mexican Leap.
- As a result, it will be Gomez defending the Cruiserweight Championship against Gorgeous George at New Year's Revolution on January 11th.
Match #2: Boogie Woogie Man and Antonino Rocca defeated Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Nikita Breznikov) by DQ *
- This turned out to be a surprisingly really short match that ended when the action between Rocca and Koloff spilled outside of the ring where the referee DQd Koloff and Volkoff because Koloff used his chain against Rocca which knocked Rocca unconscious.
- After the bell sounded, Koloff and Volkoff (who challenged the Boogie Woogie Man to this tag team match after the Boogie Woogie Man eliminated both of them in their 10 man tag elimination match last month at the Survivor Series) viciously choked out the Boogie Woogie Man with Koloff's chain to the point where the Boogie Woogie Man was coughing up blood to signal that this emerging feud between the Boogie Woogie Man and the Russians would continue.
Match #3: Don Leo Jonathan (managed by Killer Kowalski) defeated Jushin Liger * 1/2
- In this 1 on 1 matchup between the smallest and tallest wrestlers on Smackdown, DLJ used his bigger size difference to his advantage by controlling much of the action and winning via his MORMON SWING.
Match #4: Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Mr. Canada (accompanied by The Mountie) in a 2 X 4 match.***
- After both Duggan and his enemy Mr. Canada (Billy "Red" Lyons) repeatedly used a 2 X 4 against each other in this matchup, Duggan won via a FLYING SPEAR.
- Afterward, the crowd in The Major League Wrestling Arena erupted in chants of "USA, USA, USA" to celebrate Duggan's victory.
End of First Third. Second Third will be posted next and includes the New Midnight Express vs the Midnight Express in a scaffold match, United States Champion Dan "the Beast" Severn vs Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, and more!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Armageddon- presented by MLW's Smackdown brand Thursday December 25, 2008 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Third of the show, First Third is posted above) (note: all ratings are based on a 4 star rating system)
Match #5: Fritz Von Goering defeated Buff Bagwell in a Christmas Bonus Match. **
- Before Ring Announcer Gary Michael Cappetta introduced this match over the microphone, MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino announced that he was giving everyone watching this PPV a bonus match as a thank you for following Major League Wrestling.
- Von Goering defeated Bagwell via his BACKBREAKER.
Royal Rumble Advertisement:
A promo is shown saying that this year's Royal Rumble PPV will take place on January 25th and the Royal Rumble match will feature 30 wrestlers form RAW, Smackdown, and the EAWA with the winner getting an automatic title shot at Wrestlemania 2!
Match #6: The New Midnight Express defeated US Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express (managed by Jim Cornette) in a scaffold match ****
- New Midnight Express= Dennis Condrey and Rapping Red Bastien
- Midnight Express= Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane
- This was a non-title match.
- In this incredibly awesome match that saw several amazing pin saves where both sides saved their tag partner at times from getting tossed off of the scaffold including once where Condrey was dangling in the air but managed to grab the hand of Bastien who pulled him back onto the scaffold, the first man thrown off of the scaffold and down onto the ring mat was Eaton who was eliminated by Bastien via an ATOMIC DROP.
- Eaton landed really hard and appeared to be injured, but at least for him Smackdown's annual holiday break is starting up after this PPV so he may not miss much time if any at all.
- The New Midnight Express then eliminated Lane who fell off the scaffold and crashed to the ring mat after getting hit with a flying head scissors by Bastien.
- Afterward, Bastien climbed down and chased Cornette up the scaffold where a waiting Condrey, who Cornette previously fired from the Midnight Express and had gone on to describe Condrey for weeks later as "no good," proceeded to pummel him. Cornette attempted to hang onto the scaffold's railing but got knocked off and fell hard to the mat via a FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP from Condrey.
Match #7: Steve "Dr. Death" Williams (managed by Killer Kowalski) defeated United States Champion Dan "the Beast" Severn. *** 1/2
- This was a really good competitive match with both competitors scoring near pinfalls against each other. But Dr. Death won via his OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE to capture the United States Championship!
- The United States Championship is the first-ever title Dr. Death has won so far here in Major League Wrestling.
End of Second Third. Final Third will be posted next and includes Frank Gotch and Rikidozan vs The Horsemen: Johnny Valentine, George Hackenschmidt, and Larry Zbyszko in a 2 on 3 handicap double or nothing match for the 2 title shots Hackenschmidt and Zbyszko won due to being among the survivors in their 10 man elimination tag match last month at the Survivor Series, The World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors defending their title against The Mongols in a best 2 out of 3 falls barbed wire steel cage match, and Antonio Inoki challenging MLW Champion Buddy Rogers!

So far this show looks to have turned out better than I was originally thinking. Hoping the final third is as good as the first two.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Armageddon- presented by MLW's Smackdown brand Thursday December 25, 2008 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Final Third of the show, First Third and Second Third are both posted above) (note: all ratings are based on a 4 star rating system)
Backstage: MLW Champion tells his fellow Horsemen George Hackenschmidt that Hackenschmidt, who has been disappointing Rogers lately, better not cause The Horsemen to lose their 2 guaranteed title shots they are defending against Frank Gotch and Rikidozan in their 3 on 2 handicap match tonight.
Match #8: The Horsemen: Johnny Valentine, George Hackenschmidt, and Larry Zbyszko (managed by Eddie Fyne) defeated Frank Gotch and Rikidozan in a 3 on 2 double or nothing handicap match. **1/2
- In this matchup, The Horsemen were defending the 2 guaranteed title shots that both Hackenschmidt and Zbyszko won last month by being among the survivors for their winning team in their elimination tag match at the Survivor Series.
- This match ended when, as Gotch was distracted by Fyne, Valentine, and Zbyszko, Hackenschmidt forced Rikidozan to tap out to his RUSSIAN BEARHUG.
- By winning this match, the Horsemen not only prevented Gotch and Rikidozan from getting their guaranteed title shots but also doubled their own number of guaranteed title shots form 2 to 4.
Match #9: World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors defeated The Mongols (managed by Sir Oliver Humperdink 2-0) in a best 2 out of 3 falls barbed wire steel cage match. ****
- First Fall: In a fiercely contested fall, as all of the combatants except Bepo Mongol were already bleeding heavily from being thrown into the sides of the barbed wire wrapped steel cage, the Road Warriors finally defeated The Mongols when Road Warrior Hawk pinned Bepo Mongol via a vertical suplex to put the defending champions up 1-0.
- Second Fall: During this fall, even Bepo Mongol started to bleed heavily as the Road Warriors won this fall too when Road Warrior Animal pinned Geeto Mongol via a DOOMSDAY DEVICE to win this fall and thus the match 2-0.
- As a result of winning this match, the Road Warriors successfully defended their World Tag Team Championship.
- Afterward, Humperdink entered the cage and attacked Road Warrior Animal from behind with his cage- but to little effect as Road Warrior Animal turned around and tossed Humperdink into the barbed wire wrapped along the sides of the steel cage and then, with the help of Road Warrior Hawk, gave Humperdink a DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Match #10, the main event: MLW Champion Buddy Rogers (managed by Eddie Fyne) defeated Antonio Inoki ** 1/2
- Rogers successfully retained his title via his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE.
- Afterward, the rest of the Four Horsemen came down to the ring to celebrate their great night tonight at Armageddon which saw them not only retain the MLW Championship but accumulate a total of 4 future guaranteed title shots that they can use to challenge for things like the United States Championship and the World Tag Team Championship.
- As the Four Horsemen do their 4 fingered hand signal to the crowd who jeers at them in response and the TV announcers wonder aloud if this version of the Four Horsemen can dominate Smackdown just like the original Four Horsemen did back when Buddy Rogers had the MLW Championship, Harley Race had the United States Championship, and the Valentines had the US Tag Team Championship, tonight's show comes to an end.
End of Show
(Major League Wrestling (MLW) says Happy Holidays to all its readers!)

So far this show looks to have turned out better than I was originally thinking. Hoping the final third is as good as the first two. Thanks for the feedback Switchfoot. Thanks once again for following my fed. Now that I've posted the final third, what did you think of the PPV as a whole? IMO, this won't be a contender for my fed's PPV of the year. But I did like how the dice gave me the results of having the Horsemen double their title opportunities and how Dr. Death won his first ever title (the United States Championship) in my fed. Plus it's always cool to see Cornette getting tossed off of a scaffold.

I liked the PPV, I mean for the lack of super huge gimmick matches (especially being between a Cell and a Chamber), it was actually a really good PPV.

Darn, I was hoping to see Jushin Liger pull of the upset.
Question for ya, where did you get Scaffold Match rules?
