How expected. T is a monster. Sounds like it was a pretty fun card. Yeah, it was a pretty fun card to play. Savage-T is really doing good right now in Minor League Wrestling as, in addititon to his upcoming shot at the Minor League Wrestling Championship on January 25th, based on what happened on the last episode of Minor League Wrestling it also looks like April Hunter might be dumping J.D. Michaels for him. Can Savage-T possibly end up with both the Minor League Wrestling Championship AND April Hunter?

It seems like your poll was more like who would be first to be eliminated! Good GAWD! Yeah, I was really surprised too. But for each entry I roll the dice for everyone who hasn't entered the Rumble yet to determine who enters next with the next entrant being the wrestler with the lowest dice roll. And for the 2nd entry, The Destroyer got snake eyes. That early entry turned out to prove really detrimental to The Destroyer.

Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) annual holiday break is now over as its time for the RAW brand to present its New Years Revolution PPV!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) New Years Revolution (presented by MLW's RAW brand) Sunday January 11th, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Third of the PPV) note: all ratings are based on a 4 star system
New Years Revolution was preceded by a 30 minute edition of Major League Wrestling: Fight Night which recapped all of the major storylines going into tonight's PPV and included the following dark match.
Dark Match: Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. defeated S.D. Jones via a middle rope splash
Match #1: Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez defeated Gorgeous George.
- George, who lost the Cruiserweight Championship to Gorgeous George at Cyber Sunday where the MLW Universe selected Gomez to be George's challenger that night, started off strong and used his Gorgeous Grip to target the same area where he briefly injured Gomez with his Gorgeous Grip on RAW a few weeks ago. But Gomez battled back and won via a Mexican Leap followed by his MEXICAN CRADLE to retain his Cruiserweight Championship. **
Match #2: New Age Outlaws defeated the Killer Bees and Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke in an elimination tag # 1 contenders match.
- First Elimination: Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke when B. Brain Blair forced Yukon Eric to tap out to a Boston Crab.
- Second Elimination: Killer Bees when Kip James pinned Blair via a STANDING LEG DROP. **
- As a result of winning this match, the New Age Outlaws get to challenge for the MLW Tag Team Championship later this month at the Royal Rumble on January 25th!
Backstage: Bruiser Brody is shown walking around and breathing heavily as he is set to be one of the 6 competitors in tonight's main event elimination chamber match for the vacant World Championship.
Match #3: Ida Mae Martinez defeated Ladies Champion Sherri Martel by DQ.
- This turned out to be a very good and highly competitive match but with a disappointing ending. Martel won the Ladies Championship last year at New Years Revolution and, because titles in Major League Wrestling can only change hands by pinfall or submission according to the Major League Wrestling Constitution, she marked the one year anniversary of her title reign by retaining the title tonight.
- The ending came with Martel in serious trouble as Martinez repeatedly hit her with her DROPKICK but couldn't quite get the pinfall which caused Martel to roll out of the ring and grab her title. Martinez followed Martel out of the ring where Martel hit her in the face with the Ladies Championship to get DQd and keep her title. ***
Backstage: Don Muraco (who Martel manages) and Diamond Dallas Page are both shown standing and watching on TV the ending to the Martinez-Martel match.
- Muraco, one of the 6 competitors in tonight's main event elimination chamber match for the vacant World Championship, warns DDP (the special guest referee in tonight's main event) that he better call the match "correctly" and DDP warns Muraco that if he interferes with his officiating then he might get a DIAMONDCUTTER!
Match #4: Ed "Strangler" Lewis defeated the Missing Link.
- The Missing Link attempts some early offense, but The Strangler won this match pretty easily as he patiently wore down the Missing Link via his STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK.
End of First Third. Second Third will be posted next and includes the MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos vs Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake, Bobo Brazil vs The Sheik in a coffin match, and Intercontinental Champion Jim Londos vs Rick Rude in a ladder match!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) New Years Revolution (presented by MLW's RAW brand) Sunday January 11th, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Third of the PPV, First Third is posted above) note: all ratings are based on a 4 star system
Match #5: MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo) defeated Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake in a best 2 out of 3 falls match.
- First Fall: Fabulous Kanagaroos win this fall when Roy Heffernan pinned Brutus Beefcake via the BOOMERANG. Fabulous Kangaroos are up 1-0.
- Second Fall: Roy Heffernan pinned Greg Valentine via the BOOMERANG. The Fabulous Kanagaroos thus win the match 2-0 to retain the MLW Tag Team Championship which they will defend later this month against the New Age Outlaws at the Royal Rumble. * 1/2
Backstage: Both Mil Mascaras and Jimmy Snuka are shown warming up in preparation for tonight's 6 man elimination chamber match for the vacant World Championship.
Match #6: Bobo Brazil defeated The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk) in a coffin match.
- This turned out to be a vicious and classic coffin match which will no doubt be included on many future MLW DVD sets.
- 3 times during this match, The Sheik tried to place Brazil in the coffin- including once where he tried to place Brazil inside the coffin right after he gave Brazil a CAMEL CLUTCH right on tip of the coffin! But each time Brazil managed to prevent The Sheik from closing the lid by sticking out his foot to block the lid.
- The end of this match came with both Brazil and The Sheik battaling it out on the floor where Brtazil gave The Sheik a massive COCO BUTT which knocked The Sheik backward and into the coffin as Brazil then slammed shut the lid to win the match over his enemy. On the very first PPV of the year, Major League Wresting already has its first MOTY candidate for 2009! ****
(promoter's note: in this match Brazil's PIN got raised all the way to 9 and The Sheik's PIN got raised all the way to 12 before Brazil was finally able to win this matchup).
Match #7: Rick Rude (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker) defeated Intercontinental Champion Jim Londos in a ladder match.
- Soon after this match started, the referee caught Baker trying to interfere and ordered both Baker and Heenan back to the locker room area!
- The end of this match came when Londos and Rude each on opposite rungs climbed to the top of the ladder where RUDE gave Londos a RUDE AWAKENING. Rude then succesfully climbed back up to the top of the ladder to grab and win the Intercontinental Championship. ***
- As a result, Londos' 9 1/2 month as Intercontinetal Champion which began last year at Wrestlemania is now over and Rude has now won his first title in Major League Wrestling!
Backstage: Heenan Family members Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race, 2 of tonight's 6 competitors in the elimination chamber match main event for the vacant World Championship, are seen watching on TV the end of the Londos-Rude ladder match.
- Bockwinkel (who won last year's elimination chamber match) tells Race that it looks like the Heenan Family will now have two title holders after tonight.
- Race says true, but it may not necessarily be Bockwinkel who wins the World Championship in the elimination chamber tonight.
- The TV announcers wonder aloud, will it come down to Bockwinkel vs Race in the elimination chamber tonight and, if so, what will happen?
End of Second Third. Final Third will be posted next and includes tonight's main event of Mil Mascaras vs Nick Bockwinkel vs Bruiser Brody vs Harley Race vs Don Muraco vs Jimmy Snuka in an elimination chamber match with Diamond Dallas Page as the special guest referee for the vacant World Championship! For the first time since Cyber Sunday, RAW will have a new World Champion tonight!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) New Years Revolution (presented by MLW's RAW brand) Sunday January 11th, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Final Third of the PPV, First Third and Second Third are both posted above) note: all ratings are based on a 4 star system
Match #8, the main event: Jimmy Snuka defeated Mil Mascaras, Nick Bockwinkel, Bruiser Brody, Harley Race, and Don Muraco in an elimination chamber match for the vacant World Championship.
- Mascaras and Brody started this match and then, at 5 minute intervals, another wrestler entered the match when his pod opened up until every wrestler was released from all the pods.
order of entry: 1. Mil Mascaras (started the match) 2. Bruiser Brody (started the match) 3. Nick Bockwinkel 4. Don Muraco 5. Harley Race 6. Jimmy Snuka
order of eliminations: 1. Brody pinned Mascaras via JUMPING KNEE DROP 2. Brody pinned Bockwinkel via JUMPING KNEE DROP 3. Brody pinned Muraco via JUMPING KNEE DROP 4. Brody pinned Race via JUMPING KNEE DROP 5. Snuka pinned Brody via a SUPERFLY LEAP from the top of one of the pods to win the title. Winner: Jimmy Snuka *** 1/2
notes: During this match, one of the biggest bumps occurred when Muraco's manager Sherri Martel was yelling at special guest referee Diamond Dallas Page about his officiating and even climbed up the links on the side of the chamber to yell at him when Brody threw Muraco over the top ropes and into the side of the chamber knocking Martel down to the floor.
After Muraco was eliminated by his enemy Brody, he started arguing with DDP who then gave Muraco a DIAMONDCUTTER before rolling him out of the elimination chamber.
The end came down to two friends- Snuka and Brody who have teamed up before in Major League Wrestling including last summer at Summer Slam against the Fabulous Kangaroos. Snuka and Brody battled it out for awhile until Brody's fatigue that he had accumulated since starting this match as one of the first two participants (compared to Snuka who entered this match last) may have played a role in the outcome as the match ended with Snuka giving Brody a piledriver and then amazing everyone by climbing to the top of one of the pods to deliver a spectacular SUPERFLY LEAP for the victory.
Afterward, Brody stayed in the ring to congratulate his friend Snuka who raised the World Championship up in celebration as tonight's show came to an end.
See you next week for the regularly scheduled episodes of RAW, Smackdown, and the EAWA!

Brody seemed like a straight up beast in that match, until the final two. Out of everyone in that match, I would have thought Snuka would have been one of the first two eliminated.

I'm majorly suprised to see Snuka win as well, but suprises like that are a part of what makes the LOW so awesome.

Thanks Switchfoot and scottfire54.
I was also surprised to see Snuka win the elimination chamber match. But, although I liked him as my champion, it's sort of nice not to have Bockwinkel as my World Champion for awhile since (with the exceptions of a brief reign by Bobo Brazil and the last couple months when the title has been vacant) he's held that title for almost all of Major League Wrestling's history.
Unless the dice have him win the Rumble in 2 weeks, I'm actually probably not going to give Bockwinkel a title shot for awhile because I have another storyline planned for him and it will be interesting to see how long Snuka can keep the World Championship.
