Following last weekend's 3rd Annual Sammartino, it's now time for this week's edition of Thursday Night RAW!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Thursday May 7, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show)
Match #1: Rick Rude and Ox Baker (both managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated S.D. Jones and Johnny Rodz
- Both of these two tag teams were among the 64 tag teams competing in last weekend's 3rd Annual Sammartino.
- Next week at Backlash during PPV Weekend, Rude is seeking to regain the Intercontinental Championship from the current champion The Sheik and Baker wrestles MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino- who was hospitalized by a HEART PUNCH from Baker during his (Sammartino's) match against Nick Bockwinkel at Wrestlemania 2 back in March.
- Jones and Rodz put up a surprisingly good fight and even scored 3 near pinfalls. But Rude and Baker got the victory when Baker pinned Rodz via his dreaded HEART PUNCH.
- Afterward, Heenan pointed toward Rodz, who trainers and EMTs were preparing to place on a stretcher, and said that is what Baker is going to do once again to Sammartino next weekend at Backlash during Pay Per View Weekend.
- Rude then walked up behind Jones, who was assisting the trainers ands EMTs tending to Rodz, and gave Jones a RUDE AWAKENING as Heenan then said that's what Rude is going to do to the The Sheik next weekend at Backlash to regain the Intercontinental Championship!
- Before leaving the ring, Heenan then mentions the other two members of the Heenan Family, Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race, will be teaming up and defeating World Champion Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka in tonight's main event featuring the 4 wrestlers facing each other next weekend at Backlash in a Fatal Fourway elimination match for the World Championship!
Match #2: MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos defeated Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase in a non-title match.
- This match pitted the Fabulous Kangaroos against George and DiBiase who are one of the 6 tag teams the Kangaroos are defending the MLW Tag Team Championship against next weekend at Backlash in a tag team turmoil match and who scored an impressive upset against the Kangaroos in the Second Round of the 2nd Annual Sammartino Invitational two years ago.
- This match ended in a really easy win for the Kangaroos when Roy Heffernan pinned DiBiase via the BOOMERANG.
- Will the Kangaroos, who have held the MLW Tag Team Championship since Unforgiven back in September, manage to outlast all the six tag teams in the tag team turmoil match next weekend at Backlash to retain their championship once again?
Match #3: Diamond Dallas Page defeated Don Muraco (managed by Ladies Champion Sherri Martel and accompanied by Cowboy Bob Orton Jr.)
- This was a regular tuneup match between DDP and Muraco, the winners of the Money in the Bank matches at Wrestlemania and Wrestlemania 2 respectively, who are set to wrestle against each other next weekend at Backlash in a ladder match for Muraco's Money in the Bank briefcase. - A good match won by DDP via his DIAMOND CUTTER.
- Will DDP have the same success next weekend at Backlash against Muraco in the ladder match to win the Money in the Bank briefcase?
Match #4: Jim Londos and the Missing Link defeated Intercontinental Champion The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk) and Ed "Strangler" Lewis by DQ
- Londos and the Missing Link won this match by DQ against The Sheik and Lewis (who last weekend teamed together in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational) when The Sheik got DQd for hitting Londos with a FIREBALL.
- The FIREBALL only hit Londos a little, but the referee still felt it warranted a DQ. As Londos leaned against the ropes trying to regroup, the Missing Link went after The Sheik with a steel chair. But The Sheik got out of the way and the Missing Link's chair shot instead hit Lewis!
- As The Sheik and Farouk retreated, an angry Lewis placed the Missing Link in his patented STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK and refused to relinquish the hold until he was tackled by Londos who proceeded to place Lewis in his BOSTON CRAB and refused to let go until he forced Lewis to tap out. As Londos and the Missing Link walked up the ramp, an angry Lewis glared and yelled in their direction.
MLW Draft Advertisement: An advertisement for the annual MLW Draft is shown saying the draft between RAW, Smackdown, and the EAWA will now take place on the debut episode of Major League Wrestling's new TV show MLW Superstars on Saturday May 23rd
Backstage: Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez, who is set to defend his title against the Missing Link at Backlash during Pay Per View Weekend, is informed that whoever leaves Backlash as Cruiserweight Champion will defend that title the next night, Judgment Day, during Pay Per View Weekend against the winner of a #1 contenders' match between Tiger Mask and Jushin Liger tomorrow night on Smackdown.
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes an elimination tag match between 5 of the 7 tag teams set to compete in the tag team turmoil match at Backlash and the main event of World Champion Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka vs Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race!

Will their success continue next week at Backlash during Pay Per View Weekend in the tag team turmoil match against these same 4 other tag teams plus Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase and the defending MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos?
Backstage: A still visibly angry Ed "Strangler" Lewis tells MLW reporter trinity Denucci that he's just arranged to teach Jim Londos a lesson for the humiliation he (Londos) inflicted upon him (Lewis) earlier tonight as Lewis says he just came from Interim MLW General Manager Bob Backlund's office where he got approval for a submission match against Londos next week at Backlash!

- This match ended when Brody made Snuka tap out to his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
- Bockwinkel and Race celebrate tonight's victory as the TV announcers wonder aloud what will happen next week between Bockwinkel and Race at Backlash during the Fatal Four Way elimination match where there can only be one man winning the match and thus the World Championship?

It's time for this week's edition of Friday Night Smackdown!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Smackdown Friday May 8, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show)
Match #1: Tiger Mask defeated Jushin Liger in a #1 contenders' match.
- Before this match began, Tiger Mask and Liger, who teamed together in last weekend's 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational, shook hands.
- During this match, for some unknown reason, Fritz Von Goering surprisingly showed up at ringside where he stood and watched the action.
- Tiger Mask won this match via his TIGER SUPLEX which means Tiger Mask gets a match against the Cruiserweight Champion next Saturday at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend!
- As Tiger Mask celebrated his victory by standing on the top turnbuckle with his hands raised in the air, Von Goering suddenly came in the ring and attacked Liger and attempted to take off his mask until Tiger Mask saw what was happening and made the save for his friend.
In the Ring: Jim Cornette, whose Midnight Express defeated the Mongols by DQ in the Second Round of last weekend's 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational when he and Bobby Eaton had the steel ring steps thrown at them, says the Midnight Express are about to teach the Mongols a lesson right now!
Match #2: Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, managed by Jim Cornette) defeated The Mongols (managed by Sir Oliver Humperdink)
- This match ended when Eaton pinned Geeto Mongol via VEG-O-MATIC.
However, as a celebratory Cornette afterward announced the Midnight Express would do the same thing next week at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend to the World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors and Johnny Valentine and Larry Zbyszko in their 3 way tag team elimination title match to win the World Tag Team Championship, he was suddenly attacked by Dennis Condrey who ran into the ring with his tag team partner Rapping Red Bastien of the New Midnight Express.
- As Cornette, Eaton, and Lane retreated, Condrey got on the microphone to say since the annual MLW Draft is just 2 weeks away he's concerned he might get moved to either RAW or the EAWA without having gotten a chance yet to personally exact revenge on his former manager Cornette. So Condrey says he just arranged for a match at Judgment Day against Cornette, but with the stipulation that if he (Condrey) loses then he has to leave Major League Wrestling! Cornette reacts furiously by screaming upon hearing this news.
Backstage: The Mongols and Humperdink, on their way back from losing the previous match, are confronted by the Armstrongs who tease them for losing to the Midnight Express.
- The Mongols then viciously attack the Armstrongs and Humperdink says the Armstrongs will learn another lesson from the Mongols next week at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend!
Backstage: Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff along with their manager Nikita Breznikov are interviewed by MLW reporter Trinity Denucci.
- Koloff and Volkoff, who controversially had the World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors eliminated by DQ in the Sweet Sixteen of last weekend's 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational before getting eliminated in the Elite Eight thanks to interference from the Road Warriors, start to say how they are going to teach the Road Warriors a lesson when they are interrupted by Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Buff Bagwell, and the Boogie Woogie Man.
- Duggan tells Koloff and Volkoff that the Road Warriors already have a match for Judgment Day and now they (the Russians) do too as Duggan along with Bagwell and the Boogie Woogie Man (who teamed together last weekend in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational) are challenging the 3 of them (Koloff, Volkoff, and Breznikov) to a 6 man tag team patriotic elimination match!
Match #3: United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams defeated George South in a non-title match.
- South never got in a single move of offense in this match as Williams completely dominated the action and picked up the easy win following 2 consecutive press slams.
- Williams looked impressive as he gets set to defend his title against Rikidozan next week at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend.
Match #4: The Mountie (accompanied by Mr. Canada) defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan
- Before this match started, Mr. Canada (Duggan's former enemy) says The Mountie is seeking revenge for getting counted out in their (Mr. Canada and The Mountie's) First Round loss to Duggan and Williams last weekend at the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- This match ended when Mr. Canada reached through the ropes to trip Duggan who then proceeded to get hit by The Mountie's SHORT CHOKE SLAM for the pinfall defeat.
- Afterward, Mr. Canada informed Duggan that he just accepted an offer from the Russians to take Breznikov's place in the 6 man tag elimination match against Duggan, Bagwell, and the Boogie Woogie Man next weekend at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend!
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes Dan "the Beast" Severn vs Killer Kowalski, the World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors vs Johnny Valentine and Larry Zbyszko, and (in a rematch from the Finals of last weekend's 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational) MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch vs Buddy Rogers and Rikidozan!

good job mr v whos the guy with the mountie ? Thanks Neil. Mr. Canada, the guy with The Mountie, is the name I use for Billy "Red" Lyons. I named Lyons Mr. Canada when I turned him heel and he sort of acts like Kennedy in the WWE because sometimes he likes to introduce himself before his matches as "Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Canadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa."

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Smackdown Friday May 8, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of show, First Half is posted above)
Backstage: MLW reporter Trinity Denucci is talking to Fritz Von Goering and asking him why he attacked Jushin Liger in the ring earlier tonight.
- Von Goering doesn't answer Denucci's question but says he's arranged for a match against Jushin Liger next week at Judgment Day during Pay Per View Weekend and insists after he wins that match he'll remove Liger's mask!
Match #5: Killer Kowalski (accompanied by Don Leo Jonathan) defeated Dan "the Beast" Severn
- This match ended when Don Leo Jonathan (who Kowalski manages) reached though the ropes to trip Severn (who is challenging MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt at Judgment Day) who then got hit by Kowalski's KOWALSKI CLAW.
- Afterward, Kowalski and DLJ proceeded to double team Severn until Antonio Inoki (who teamed with Severn last weekend in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational) ran in to make the save.
- Kowalski then got on the microphone and mentioned how Inoki was the only one to defeat Andre the Giant in Major League Wrestling earlier this year when Andre was visiting and touring all 3 MLW brands for several weeks leading up to Wrestlemania 2 and DLJ at Judgment Day now wants to wrestle the man, Inoki, who defeated Andre.
Match #6: World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors defeated Johnny Valentine and Larry Zbyszko (managed by Eddie Fyne)in a non-title match
- This match featured two of the 3 tag teams who, along with the Midnight Express, will wrestle each other next week at Judgment Day in the 3 way tag elimination match for the World Tag Team Championship.
- Valentine and Zbyszko looked good and controlled most of the action but the Road Warriors came back and won when Road Warrior Hawk pinned Zbyszko via a gorilla press slam.
- Afterward, as the Road Warriors celebrated their victory, they were interrupted by Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express. Cornette said next week at Judgment Day the Road Warriors aren't going to be able to get themselves DQd to remain World Tag Team Champions because, in return for him (Cornette) agreeing to wrestle Dennis Condrey, Cornette got MLW Interim General Manager Bob Backlund to agree to make the 3 way tag elimination match at Judgment Day a no DQ match!
Judgment Day PPV Advertisement Judgment Day presented by MLW's Smackdown brand as part of the upcoming 3 day Pay Per View Weekend Saturday May 16th 1. Jushin Liger vs Fritz Von Goering 9. Dennis Condrey vs Jim Cornette 10. Armstrongs vs The Mongols
Match #7, the main event: Buddy Rogers and Rikidozan (both managed by Eddie Fyne) defeated MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch
- This rematch from last weekend's Final Round of the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational ended with the same team winning and once again in controversial fashion when Rogers took a foreign object out of his knee pad and used it to clip the knee of his enemy Gotch (who wrestles Rogers next week at Judgment Day in a Hell in a Cell match) while Fyne distracted the referee. Rogers then threw away the foreign object and immediately applied his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE to Gotch who tapped out.

Looking foward to the PPV Mr. V. Thanks Neil, I'm really looking forward to it too. After Pay Per View Weekend next weekend, I'll have a better idea of who is going where in the annual MLW Draft the following week. Some of those getting drafted I know for sure (Internet rumors say that Frank Gotch is moving to RAW after he finishes his feud with Buddy Rogers in next weekend's Hell in a Cell match ). But I probably won't decide on some of the other draftees until after next weekend's PPVs.

It's now time for this week's edition of Saturday EAWA!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) EAWA Saturday May 9, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show)
Match #1: Justin Credible (accompanied by the Sandman) defeated Playboy Buddy Rose (accompanied by Danny Doring)
- Credible won this opening match when the Sandman jumped up on the apron to hold Rose while Credible hit him (Rose) with a SINGAPORE CANE blatantly in front of the referee who had to allow the match to proceed due to the extreme rules nature for all EAWA matches. Credible then pinned Rose. Rose will have to do better than this next week at Sin City Showdown during Pay Per View Weekend if he wants to regain the Cruiserweight Championship.
Match #2: Samoan Island Tribe defeated the Heroes of Hardcore.
- The Heroes of Hardcore suffered an upset loss when the Vachons, who along with the EAWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants will wrestle against the Heroes of Hardcore in a 3 way tag elimination title match next week at Sin City Showdown, came down to ringside to distract Hardcore Hodge and Hardcore Hutton as Samu took advantage of this opportunity by giving Hardcore Hutton a Samoan Drop from behind for the pin.
Match #3: Sandman (accompanied by Justin Credible) defeated Mr. Perfect (accompanied by Larry "the Axe" Hennig)
- For this match, Sandman was accompanied by his Barroom Heroes tag team partner Credible while Mr. Perfect was accompanied by his still injured father Larry Hennig. However, the elder Hennig is expected to return to action next week to team up with his son as the Double Axe Attack, for the first time in over a year, at Sin City Showdown where they will seek to exact revenge upon the Barroom Heroes for injuring him (Larry Hennig).
- This match also ended in an upset (at least according to the sportsbook located inside The Major League Wrestling Arena) as Sandman won via a HARDCORE DDT while Credible held down the legs of Mr. Perfect as the referee proceeded to make the 3 count.
In the Ring: EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase accompanied by King Kong Bundy and Virgil.
- DiBiase says that tonight's main event will be EAWA Champion Antonino Rocca, who DiBiase is challenging next week at Sin City Showdown, against both Bundy and Virgil in a 1 on 2 handicap match!
- DiBiase also says that for the Brass Knuckles Championship Tournament next week at Sin City Showdown, the winner of the tournament to become the first-ever Brass Knuckles Champion will have to win a brass knuckles match in the tournament finals. And one of the semi-final matches will take place inside a steel cage while the other semi-finals match will be a last man standing match.
- DiBiase also says that the 4 first round matches of the Brass Knuckles Championship Tournament will be 4 of 5 of the following match types: chain, dog collar, falls count anywhere, ladder, and tables. Tonight the first round opponents in next week's tournament will wrestle against each other and the winner of each match gets to pick the stipulation for their first round match in next week's Brass Knuckles Championship Tournament and these matches start right now!
Match #4: Giant Baba defeated Sabu
- Baba won this match via a back suplex and then selected a ladder match as the stipulation for his First Round match against Sabu next week at Sin City Showdown.
Match #5: Bob Orton Sr. defeated the Terrible Turk
- Orton Sr. won this match via a stepover toehold. Afterward the former EAWA Champion selected a dog collar match as the stipulation for his First Round match against the Terrible Turk next week at Sin City Showdown.
End of First Half.
