Major League Wrestling (MLW) EAWA Saturday May 9, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of show, First Half is posted above)
Match #6: The Crusher (accompanied by Angelo Mosca) defeated Chris Candido (accompanied by Tom Prichard and managed by Tammy)
- For this match, former EAWA Champion The Crusher was accompanied by Mosca, who teamed with The Crusher last weekend in the 3rd Annual Sammartino Invitational, to counter the potential advantage Candido would have in Prichard's presence at ringside.
- During this match, Mosca was attacked from behind by Konnan (Mosca's opponent next week at Sin City Showdown). But this didn't distract The Crusher who didn't even notice as Mosca turned and chased Konnan back up the ramp. Although Candido put up a good fight, The Crusher proceeded to pick up the win via a bearhug.
- Afterward, The Crusher selected a tables match as the stipulation for his First Round match in the Brass Knuckles Championship Tournament against Candido next week at Sin City Showdown.
Match #7: Masked Superstar defeated Ray Stevens
- Masked Superstar won this match via his COBRA HOLD and then selected a falls count anywhere match as the stipulation for his First Round match in the Brass Knuckles Championship Tournament against Stevens next week at Sin City Showdown.
Match #8: The Vachons (managed by "Wild" Red Berry) defeated EAWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants in a non-title match.
- This was a great and extremely competitive match that finally ended when Mad Dog Vachon pinned Johnny Valiant via his Mad Dog Pounce.
- Can the Vachons also defeat the Valiants along with the Heroes of Hardcore in next weekend's 3 way tag elimination match at Sin City Showdown to win the EAWA Tag Team Championship?
Sin City Showdown Promo Sin City Showdown presented by MLW's EAWA brand as part of the upcoming 3 day Pay Per View Weekend Sunday May 17th 1. EAWA Champion Antonino Rocca vs EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase 2. Hardcore Tournament for the newly created Brass Knuckles Championship: The Crusher vs Giant Baba vs Bob Orton Sr. vs Masked Superstar vs Ray Stevens vs Sabu vs Terrible Turk vs Chris Candido 4. EAWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants vs the Vachons vs the Heroes of Hardcore in a 3 way tag elimination match 5. Playboy Buddy Rose vs the Cruiserweight Champion 6. Double Axe Attack vs Barroom Heroes 7. Angelo Mosca vs Konnan
Match #9, the main event: King Kong Bundy and Virgil (both accompanied by EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase) defeated EAWA Champion Antonino Rocca in a non-title 2 on 1 handicap match.
- This match ended when DiBiase from outside of the ring hit Rocca in the head with a steel chair and Bundy then hit Rocca with the AVALANCHE for the pinfall victory.
- As the show comes to an end, DiBiase holds Rocca's EAWA Championship and laughs his million dollar laugh. But the TV announcers wonder aloud if DiBiase will still be laughing after his match challenging Rocca for the EAWA Championship next weekend at Sin City Showdown.
End of Show.
See you next weekend for the 3 day extravaganza of Pay Per View Weekend starting with Backlash presented by MLW's RAW brand on Friday!

It's now time for the start of the 3 day spectacular excitement of Pay Per View Weekend as MLW's RAW brand tonight presents Backlash!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Pay Per View Weekend Backlash- presented by MLW's RAW brand Friday May 15, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show) (note: all match ratings based on a star system)
Dark Match: S.D. Jones defeated Johnny Rodz
- Jones pinned Rodz via his HEADBUTT.
Match #1: Don Muraco (accompanied by Ladies Champion Sherri Martel and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr.) defeated Diamond Dallas Page in a ladder match to retain his Money in the Bank briefcase.
- This opening match pitted the 2 previous Money in the Bank ladder match winners, Page (who won the Money in the Bank ladder match at the first Wrestlemania) and Muraco (who won the Money in the Bank ladder match 2 months ago at Wrestlemania 2), against each other for Muraco's Money in the Bank briefcase.
- This match ended surprisingly quickly when Orton Jr. jumped up on the apron and got away with hitting DDP in the back of the head with an unidentified object. Muraco then gave DDP his HAWAIIAN HAMMER and proceeded to easily walk up the ladder to grab his briefcase amid a cascade of boos from the fans in attendance.*
Match #2: Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez defeated the Missing Link
- Gomez won this match via pinfall via a criss cross smash.**
- Although Gomez retained his title tonight, he still has to defend it throughout Pay Per view Weekend against Smackdown's Tiger Mask tomorrow at Judgment Day and against EAWA's Playboy Buddy Rose on Sunday at Sin City Showdown. Will Gomez, who won the Cruiserweight Championship at Cyber Sunday back in early November, go 3-3 and still have the Cruiserweight Championship on Monday or will either Tiger Mask or Rose defeat him this weekend?
Match #3: Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase defeated MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos, the Brothers of Other Mothers, New Age Outlaws, Killer Bees, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake, and Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke in a tag team turmoil match.
Match #3A: Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake defeated New Age Outlaws
- This tag team turmoil match started with the New Age Outlaws controlling most of the action but Valentine and Beefcake got the win when Valentine, after loading up his shinguard, hit B.G. James with a deathjump and then made James tap out to his FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK.
Next Team Up: the defending MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos
Match #3B: MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo) defeated Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake
- Roy Heffernan pinned Valentine following the BOOMERANG.
Next Team Up: the Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras)
Match #3C: the Brothers of Other Mothers defeated MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo) by DQ.
- This match ended when the action spilled out of the ring where both Kangaroos hit Mascaras with boomerangs to get DQd.
- The defending MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos are eliminated from this match!
Next Team Up: Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase
Match #3D: Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase defeated the Brothers of Other Mothers
- George and DiBiase, apparently benefiting from the fatigue built up by Brazil and Mascaras who just got done wrestling the Kangaroos, scored the upset when George hit Brazil with a Georgie pin and then pinned him via a deathjump.
Next Team Up: Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke
Match #3E: Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase defeated Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke
- George made Cousin Luke tap out to a figure four leglock
Next Team Up: Killer Bees
Match #3F: Gorgeous George and Iron Mike DiBiase defeated the Killer Bees
- As the final entry in this tag team turmoil match, the Killer Bees appeared about to pick up the win as they controlled the majority of the action but lost when DiBiase pinned B. Brian Brazil via a series of punches coupled with a handful of tights.
- As a result, George and DiBiase win the match.*** 1/2
- However, it was announced to their dissatisfaction, George and DiBiase do not win the MLW Tag Team Championship because the defending champions the Fabulous Kangaroos earlier in this match were eliminated by DQ instead of by pinfall or submission.
MLW Draft Advertisement: An advertisement for the annual MLW Draft is shown saying the draft between RAW, Smackdown, and the EAWA will now take place on the debut episode of Major League Wrestling's new TV show MLW Superstars on Saturday May 23rd
Match #4: MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino defeated Ox Baker (managed by Bobby Heenan)
- Sammartino, returning from injury and seeking revenge for the HEART PUNCH Baker gave him at Wrestlemania 2 during his (Sammartino's) match against Nick Bockwinkel that required Sammartino to be carried away on a stretcher, got the win by pinning Baker after repeated stomps.**
- Afterward, Sammartino got on the microphone to say he still intends to teach Bockwinkel a lesson.
- Sammartino also announced a major change in MLW's administrative structure. Sammartino says that he will continue to oversee all 3 MLW brands but each brand will have its own general manager who answers only to him (Sammartino).
- While the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase will continue in his role as EAWA's General Manager, Sammartino said that Interim MLW Chairman Bob Backlund (who filled in for Sammartino while he recovered from injury) will now be made the full time RAW General Manager while he (Sammartino) will announce the Smackdown General Manager tomorrow night on the Hot Seat during Judgment Day!
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes Jim Londos vs Ed "Strangler" Lewis in a submission match, Rick Rude vs Intercontinental Champion The Sheik, and a fatal four way elimination championship match of World Champion Bruiser Brody vs Jimmy Snuka vs Nick Bockwinkel vs Harley Race!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Pay Per View Weekend Backlash- presented by MLW's RAW brand Friday May 15, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of show, First Half is posted above) (note: all match ratings based on a star system)
Match #5: Ed "Strangler" Lewis defeated Jim Londos in a submission match
- This great scientific match between avowed rivals Londos and Lewis arguably stole the show by putting on a clinic that is definitley a candidate for match of the year in 2008! Lewis somehow managed to survivie several submission attempts from Londodn that included Londos' Slepper Grip, grinding arm bar, and BOSTON CRAB finisher. Londos bravely managed to survivie a total of 7 submission attempts before finally apping out to Lewis' relentless STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK. ****
Match #6: Rock Rude (managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated Intercontinental Champion The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk) by DQ
In his bid to regain the Intercontinental Championship that he lost at Wrestlemania 2, Rude controlled most of the action in this matchup until the action spilled outside of the ring where The Sheik got DQd for using a foreign object against Rude. **
- However, since titles can't change hands here in Major League Wrestling on DQs and countouts, The Sheik retained the Intercontinental Championship.
Match #7, the mian event: World Champion Bruiser Brody defeated Jimmy Snuka, Nick Bockwinkel (managed by Bobby Heenan), and Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan) in a fatal fourway elimination match.
First Elimination: Snuka, DQd for swinging a steel chair outside of the ring in self-dfense against Bockwinkel, Race, and Heenan. This left Brody alone against Heenan Family members Bockwinkel and Race.
Second Elimination: Race, Brody pinned race via a one hand body slam.
Final Elimination: This final fall was a great mathcup of Brody vs Bockwinkel which caused the TV announcers to wonder aloud how great a matchup of Brody vs Bockwinkel might be if shown here on TV someday. Bockwinkel was really compettiive trying to regain the World Championship, but Brody overcame the offense targeted at him and won the fall and thus the match via a one hand body slam.
- Brody is still thw World Champion!
- As Snuka arrovers to celebrate;s Bridy;s impressive victory, tonight's show comes to an end.
End of Show. See you tomorrow as MLW's Smackdown brand presents Judgment Day as Pay Per View Weekend continues!

Dark Match: Koko B. Ware defeated George South
- South put up a good fight but Ware got the victory via his GHOSTBUSTER.
Match #1: Tiger Mask defeated Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez
- This turned out to be an extremely great and exciting opening match eventually won by Tiger Mask via his TIGER SUPLEX. *** 1/2
- As a result, Tiger Mask is the new Cruiserweight Champion ending the reign of Gomez who won the title back in November at Cyber Sunday.
- So now Tiger Mask, instead of Gomez, goes on to Sin City Showdown tomorrow to defend the Cruiserweight Championship against former champion Playboy Buddy Rose!
Match #2: The Mongols (managed by Sir Oliver Humperdink) defeated the Armstrongs
- The Mongols won when Geeto Mongol pinned Brad Armstrong following a double clothesline. **
Match #3: Fritz Von Goering defeated Jushin Liger
- Von Goering won this match via his BACKBREAKER. * 1/2

- Volkoff pinned Duggan via BACKBREAKER DROP.
- Mr. Canada defeated Boogie Woogie Man via SLEEPER
- Despite Volkoff being distracted by Road Warrior Hawk's voice saying "Oooooooooooooooooooh What a Rush" suddenly played over the loudspeakers which prolonged the match for Bagwell, Volkoff finally put Bagwell away via his BACKBREAKER DROP to win the match for this team with himself (Volkoff) and Mr. Canada as the two survivors. **
