PRESS CONFERENCE:
Jim Brunzell is being asked questions about his tag team partner in the Killer Bees, B. Brian Blair, who recently was discovered lying face down in a bar in the New Orleans airport and who is also facing charges of child abuse.
New York Times Reporter: "Jim, what is your reaction about this recent news concerning B. Brian Blair?"
Brunzell: "Well I think Brian needs to face his demons and if he does that then I welcome him back to the Killer Bees. In other words, my message to Brian is that it is time to Bee Up."
Wall Street Journal Reporter: "Bee Up? What does that mean?"
Brunzell (gesturing to the crowd of MLW fans sitting behind the reporters): "I mean it's time for a new attitude, it's time to to Bee Up. Lets Bee Up!"
crowd (clapping and stomping their feet between each chant): "Bee Up! Bee Up! Bee Up! Bee Up! Bee Up!........."
As the fans keep chanting "Bee Up" while clapping their hands and stomping their feet, the press conference comes to an end.

Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) annual Summer break is now over as both the Smackdown and EAWA brands return to action this weekend with Smackdown taking place right now with a special Thursday edition!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Smackdown Thursday July 30, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of the show)
Office of Smackdown General Manager Dusty Rhodes: Rhodes is meeting with the Four Horsemen (Buddy Rogers, United States Champion Rikidozan, Johnny Valentine, Larry Zbyszko, and their manager Eddie Fyne)
Rogers (with his finger in Rhodes' chest): "Dusty Rhodes, the Horsemen won our War Games match at the Great American Bash when I forced MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt, who once again showed he wasn't worthy of being a Horsemen, to tap out. So I demand you make me Hackenschmidt's challenger for the MLW Championship at Summer Slam and I demand you do it right now!"
Rhodes: "Buddy Rogers, you need to chill like Jill or I'm going to get all funky like a monkey. At Summer Slam, there will be a rematch form Wrestlemania 2 as George Hackenschmidt will defend his MLW Championship against you ............"
Rogers (to Valentine, interrupting Rhodes): "Yes, Johnny, soften George up tonight in your match against him."
Rhodes (pointing toward United States Champion Rikidozan): "Howeverrrr, the reason I called you guys in here is to tell you that Rikidozan will also have his title on the line at Summer Slam against the winner of tonight's main event triple threat match of former World Champion Bobo Brazil vs former EAWA Champion Antonino Rocca vs former United States Champion Dan "the Beast" Severn!"
Rhodes (as the Four Horsemen start to object): "Unless, unless, all of you don't stop interrupting me and leave my office now or I'll have Rikidozan defend it against all 3 of them at Summer Slam."
In the Ring: Gary Michael Cappetta
Cappetta: "Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to one of Smackdown's newest wrestlers- former Olympian Bob Roop!
- Roop comes out to a warm ovation shaking hands with the crowd before getting into the ring to shake hands with Cappetta.
- Cappetta: "Bob Roop, welcome to Smackdown! Tonight we're looking forward to you being a guest color commentator for the first match. But first, we have someone who really wanted to meet you before you help call his match."
- The entrance music for Hacksaw Jim Duggan is then played and Duggan comes out with his 2 X 4 in one hand and a US flag in the other.
- Duggan (while shaking Roop's hand): "Bob Roop, it's a pleasure to meet someone who did such a great job representing this country in the Olympics."
- Roop: "And it's a pleasure for me to meet someone as patriotic as you Hacksaw Jim ......."
- Roop is suddenly interrupted with a voice from the loudspeakers saying "My name is the Strangler, I like to fight!" as Ed "Strangler" Lewis comes out to the ring accompanied by his bagpipe entrance music.
- Roop offers to shake the Strangler's hand too but Lewis instead turns his back on him as Roop and Cappetta then leave the ring so the opening match can begin.
Match #1: Ed "Strangler" Lewis defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan
- This opening match was a rematch from the Great American Bash with the same result as Lewis wore down Duggan before making him tap out to his STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK.
- Afterward, Lewis got on the microphone.
- Lewis (addressing Roop sitting over at the announcer's table): "Bob Roop, you are a good amateur wrestler, but I'm a great professional wrestler. And although you just signed a contract to wrestle here on Smackdown, I won't consider you an actual professional until you show you can go toe to toe in the ring against someone like myself."
Match #2: One Man Gang defeated Koo B. Ware
- One Man Gang made his MLW debut here on Smackdown by putting Ware away with a face first suplex.
Match #3: New Age Outlaws defeated Samoan Island Tribe
- Coming off their disappointing unsuccessful challenge to the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express at the Great American Bash, the New Age Outlaws rebounded tonight for a victory when B.G. James pinned Samu via a deathjump.
Match #4: Buff Bagwell defeated Boogie Woogie Man by DQ
- This match between these two former tag team partners was another rematch from the Great American Bash with Bagwell winning once again but this time via DQ when the action spilled outside of the ring and the referee disqualified the Boogie Woogie Man for wrapping a TV camera chord around Bagwell's neck and choking him with it.
Match #5: Tiger Mask defeated Iron Mike DiBiase
- Tiger Mask won this match via a deathjump.
- Afterward, as Tiger Mask was getting his hand raised in victory, he was attacked from behind by his enemy Fritz Von Goering who he defeated at the Great American Bash.
Match #6: Angelo Mosca defeated Mr. Canada by DQ
- Before this match started, Mr. Canada (Billy "Red" Lyons) got on the microphone to say the only reason he isn't part of tonight's triple threat main event to determine the #1 contender for the United States Championship at Summer Slam is because Americans can't stand the thought of a Canadian like himself as the United States Champion.
- Mr. Canada, however, had problems with another Canadian tonight as Mosca was in control of the match when, apparently in desperation after getting thrown from the ring, Mr. Canada got himself DQd for smashing Mosca with a steel chair.
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes: Antonio Inoki vs Don Leo Jonathan, MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt vs Johnny Valentine, Road Warriors vs Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff, and the triple threat main event of Bobo Brazil vs Antonino Rocca vs Dan "the Beast" Severn with the winner challenging Rikidozan for the United States Championship at Summer Slam!"

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Smackdown Thursday July 30, 2009 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of the show, First Half is posted above)
Match #7: Don Leo Jonathan defeated Antonio Inoki
- DLJ finally managed to get a victory over Inoki when he won via his MORMON SWING after first smashing Inoki's head against the top of the steel post behind one of the turnbuckles.
Match #8: Road Warriors defeated Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff (both managed by Nikita Breznikov)
- The Road Warriors got an impressive quick victory tonight against their enemies the Russians when Road Warrior Animal pinned Volkoff via a POWER SLAM.
Match #9: MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt defeated Johnny Valentine (accompanied by Buddy Rogers and manager Eddie Fyne) in a non-title match
- The end of this match came when Hackenschmidt placed Valentine in his RUSSIAN BACKBREAKER. Rogers, Hackenschmidt's challenger at Summer Slam, ran into the ring attempting to interfere. But Hackenschmidt swung Valentine into a charging Rogers without even relinquishing his finishing hold. As Rogers fell out through the ropes, Valentine tapped out.
Summer Slam Advertisement Summer Slam August 23, 2009 1. MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt vs Buddy Rogers 2. more matches TBA
Backstage: Jim Cornette and the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express approach Smackdown General Manager Dusty Rhodes.
- Cornette tells Rhodes the New Age Outlaws still need to prove themselves here on their new brand Smackdown and thus shouldn't receive another title shot against the Midnight Express at Summer Slam.
- Rhodes agrees but then stuns Cornette and the Midnight Express by saying instead of the New Age Outlaws, the Midnight Express will defend their championship at Summer Slam against the two wrestlers among Bobo Brazil, Antonino Rocca, and Dan "the Beast" Severn who don't win tonight's triple threat match for the right to challenge for the United States Championship at Summer Slam.
- Cornette loudly protests, but to no avail.
Match #10, the main event: Antonino Rocca defeated Bobo Brazil and Dan "the Beast" Severn in a triple threat match to become the #1 contender for the United States Championship.
- A great match between 3 fan favorites who all shook hands before the bell rang to signal the start of the match. The end came when Rocca got Brazil to tap out to his ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER.
- As a result, Rocca gets to challenge United States Champion Rikidozan at Summer Slam while Brazil and Severn will team together to challenge the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express at Summer Slam!
- As Brazil and Severn both congratulate Rocca, tonight's show comes to an end.
End of Show.

As usual, great job with the show. I like how everything has a meaning and a purpose, which sometimes is lost in other feds. Keep up the great work.
