Great action on the last two cards, Todd. I like the lineup for the upcoming silver anniversary show with Bruno Sammartino vs. Buddy Rogers, Abraham Lincoln vs. Ivan Koloff, and Andre the Giant in the four-on-one handicap match with Jimmy Hart donning the tights. That should be a wild one. Great debut for Fuji & Saito winning their bouts over Duggan & Roop and Superstar & Kingston and S.D. Jones over Ray Stevens was a big upset.

Witschi’s Sports Arena North Attleboro MA Card 23 1. Hacksaw Duggan def The Sandman by DQ *½Quick loss and do for the Sandman in his debut for wrapping his SINGAPORE CANE around the head of Duggan in the time of 3:32 2. Bruiser Brody def Greg Valentine W/ Jimmy Hart *½Brody pounded on Valentine with body stomps and hammer punches. Valentine gave Brody very little in return in the way of offense besides a flurry punches and a body slam which Brody reversed and countered with a twisting vertical suplex. Brody puts Valentine away with a big boot followed by a JUMPING KNEE DROP. 3. Cowboy Bob Orton def S.D Jones *½Jones coming off a big upset over Ray The Crippler Ray Stevens ( card 22 ) starts off with a series of jabs and kick to the midsection but unfortunately that‘s about all the offensive Jones can muster as Orton quickly takes control of the match defeating Jones with a middle rope splash followed by a SUPERPLEX 4. Rodz and Rose def The Heartbreak Express by DQ **1/2- Johnny Rodz and Playboy Buddy Rose made a strong showing in their first time teaming together ( card 20 vs. Killer The Bees) and take shot at the struggling Heartbreak Express. This is solid back and forth match that could have gone either way until a frustrated Sean Davis drew the DQ for nailing Playboy Buddy Rose with a roll of quarters after Rose kicked out of a HEARTBREAKER for second time during the match. 5. Ray Stevens W/Oliver Humperdink def Bobo Brazil by count out - A big feud has been brewing between Oliver Humperdink, Jimmy Snuka and Bobo Brazil the last few weeks. Tonight Brazil faces on the newest member of the House Of Humperdink Ray Stevens. Stevens and Brazil brawl back and forth inside and outside the ring with Stevens coming out on top winning the match by count out after giving Brazil a brutal crippling piledriver on the concrete. 6. Fuji and Saito W/ Lou Albano def The Killer Bees by count out **½These two teams both with 2-0 records have a lot at stake here with the outcome of this match deciding the next opponents for the Capital tag team champion Kangaroos next week. Both teams fight tooth and nail for the duration. Fuji gets the only pin attempt of the match with a BANZAI DROP on Blair and then tosses a handful of salt in his eyes. Blair manages to make a blind tag to Brunzel who ends up taking the loss after being counted out of the ring thanks to a sneak attack by Lou Albano. 7. Capital Wrestling Title Match Buddy Rogers def William Muldoon ***Rogers and met once before on card 19 in a number one contenders match with Muldoon walking away the winner and going on to defeat Antonio Rocca for the title. Tonight Rogers gets another chance at both the title and Muldoon. Muldoon offers a handshake and gets slapped across the face for his troubles. Rogers reverses an arm drag and throws Muldoon to the ropes delivering a big clothesline and goes for the quick pin using the ropes for leverage. Looking to put away Muldoon as soon as possible Rogers wastes no time locking on a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE but Muldoon managed to reach the ropes. Muldoon reverses an elbow smash and counters with 2 consecutive back body drop, a suplex, and a BODY LIFT AND THROW. Muldoon seems to have the match sewn up when Rogers lifts a shoulder at the last possible moment. Rogers reverses a side suplex and again locks on THE FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE this time there’s no escaping the hold for Muldoon . Rogers gets the win by submission winning the Capital title handing Muldoon his first loss. Capital Wrestling News - Reports are that following the no DQ match loss on card 22 an angry and humiliated Curt Hennig turned in his resignation to Capital Wrestling President Gorilla Monsoon. Also gone from Capital Wrestling are Tiger Mask who returned to his native Japan and Bob Roop who packed his bags and is headed to Florida. Announcements For The Silver Anniversary Show (Card 25 Philadelphia Spectrum)The House Of Humperdink vs. Bobo Brazil and S.D Jones - Brazil finding himself outnumbered in his war with The House Of Humperdink has recruited Special Delivery Jones to help even the odds Announced for next week’s show In Johnston The Flying Redheads vs. The Tolos Brothers Cowboy Bob Orton vs. William Muldoon Jim Londos vs. Antonio Rocca - Capital Wrestling Tag Team Match Fuji and Saito W/ Lou Alabano vs. The Kangaroos W/ Wild Red Berry

A fun card in North Attleboro, Todd, and Buddy Rogers vs. William Muldoon sounded like a great main event. It was cool to see Ray Stevens bounce back after losing to S.D. Jones and I'm enjoying the run of Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito. It will be interesting to see how they fare against the Kangaroos in the tag title match.

Cambria County War Memorial Johnstown PA Card 24 1. Pepper Gomez (debut) def Mister X * - Gomez makes quick work of Mr. X in just three moves getting the win with a MEXICAN CRADLE 2. Johnny Rodz def Sean Davis ** A continuation of last weeks encounter between The Heartbreak Express and The team pf Johnny Rodz and Playboy Buddy Rose. Rodz dominates delivering more than his fair share of roundhouse rights and stomps before putting Davis away with a unpredictable slam. Sean Davis attacks Rodz after the bell with a steel chair and is joined by partner Phil in a old fashioned beat down 3. King Kong Bundy W/ Jimmy Hart def Hillbilly Jim * Bundy backs Jim in the corner and delivers repeated shoulder smashes before putting him away with an AVALANCHE. Not much to this match besides some very intense brutality. 4. Tolos Brothers def Flying Redheads *** The Tolos Brothers defeated The Flying Redheads back on card in a number one contenders match and do battle again with both teams hoping to stay on top of the tag team ranks. Red Bastiein gets the first pin attempt of the match with an atomic drop on Chris Tolos. John Tolos takes down Red with a FLYING KNEE DROP afterwards complaining to the ref about a slow count. Chris Tolos initiates a brutal double team on Billy Red Lyons beating him down enough to allow Chris Tolos to roll him up for an easy three count as John Tolos meets Billy Red Lyons halfway across the ring preventing him from breaking up the pin attempt. 5. William Muldoon def Cowboy Bob Orton * - Muldoon back on track after losing the capital wrestling title to Buddy Rogers defeats Orton with just two moves ( single leg trip and a suplex) in the time of 30 seconds breaking his own record of 1:14 set against Mr. X on card 4 for the quickest victory in capital wrestling. 6. Jim Londos def Antonio Rocca *** Scientific match up full of technical moves and many reverses. Rocca used the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER twice on Londos but was unable to get the submission. Londos ends up getting a big win by submission over the former Capital champion with a BOSTON CRAB in the time of 16:04 7 . Capital Wrestling Tag Team Title Match Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito W/ Lou Albano def The Kangaroos W/ Wild Red Berry **Ever since Wild Red Berry’s Kangaroos defeated Lou Albano’s Vachons for the Capital Wrestling Tag Team Titles (card ) Berry has done nothing but rub salt in the wound. Albano has been biding his time in guiding his new team to the number on contender spot and wants nothing more than to shut Berry’s big mouth. Albano’s team starts off strong with Saito dominating Roy Hefferman scoring a near fall with a SAITO SUPLEX and near submission with a SCORPION LEG LOCK. Wild Red Berry interferes in the match giving his team an advantage but only briefly. Fuji and Saito trade places in the ring as they maintain control of the action and get the win by submission with Saito SCORPION LEG LOCK on Al Costello putting Albano on top for the third time. Koloff jumps Lincoln from behind before the opening bell. The action quickly spills outside the ring where Koloff beats and chokes Lincoln senseless with his chains causing Abe to lose the first fall by count out. Abe gets up dusting himself off, cracks his knuckles and jumps back in the ring ready to do battle again. After a back and forth fight Abe takes down Ivan with a half nelson and crotch lift followed by a headlock throw taking fall number two. It’s a real nail biter during the final few minutes of the match as Koloff uses all of the dirty tactics as his disposal and gets two near falls with a leg drop and falling face slam. Lincoln blocks a double thrust countering with a double leg takedown and sends the crowd into a frenzy as he gets the third and final fall with a THROAT LIFT SLAM 4. Ray Stevens and Jimmy Snuka W/ Oliver Humperdink def Bobo Brazil and S.D Jones **1/2Brazil and Jones teaming up for the first time put up a good fight against the House of Humperdink. Brazil gets 2 near falls with a COCO BUTT on Ray Stevens and a big hammer punch on Snuka. Jones had Stevens down with a power body slam and very well could have gotten the pin fall it if wasn’t for Humperdink jumping on the ring apron and distracting referee Dick Kroll. Ray Stevens went on to finish off Jones a short time later with a BOMBS AWAY. 5. Four On One Handicap Match Andre The Giant def The First Family Of Wrestling ***After feuding with Jimmy Hart and his first family of wrestling for the better part of six months The Eighth Wonder Of The World faces all of them in one final showdown. The match starts off with Andre landing a big boot on Greg Valentine and then tossing him over the top rope. Valentine’s teammates rush to help back on his feet and back inside the ring. After taking a sitdown splash Valentine tags in Bobby Shane who gets squashed in the corner and body slammed repeatedly. Bundy steps in and goes back and forth with Andre and then gets the upper hand with an elbow drop off the ropes and a AVALANCHE. With Andre down Bundy tags in Hart to make the pin. Hart makes the cover but Andre kicks out almost immediately. Hart realizes his mistake when Andre recovers quickly and blocks his path to Hart’s corner preventing him from tagging out. Andre punishes Hart with head butts and body slams and when he’s done toying with him tosses Hart into his own corner. Hart reaches out to tag Valentine but he pauses, turns around and simply walks off. Bundy runs after Valentine screaming at him to return to the ring and then yells at Shane to make the tag to Hart who is just standing idle. Bobby Shane looks at Hart and Andre and then also walks off. Andre watching the melt down of the First Family with a big smile on his face picks up Hart and delivers a one handed body slam pinning Hart as Bundy watches dumbfounded from a distance Final Score - Andre The Giant - 4 The First Family Of Wrestling - 2 (both by DQ)6. Special Attraction Match Buddy Rogers def Bruno Sammartino ****The start of the match is delayed as the crowd gives Sammartino a standing ovation welcoming him back to his old stomping grounds. The match starts off in Sammartino’s favor as he wins a test of strength and whips Rogers into the turnbuckle delivering big a shoulder tackle. Sammartino stomps Rogers into the canvas before setting up for a piledriver. Rogers turns things around by reversing the move and countering with a jumping knee smash. Rogers sends Sammartino to the ropes and sets up for a back body drop but Sammartino comes off the ropes with a knee to the head laying Rogers out flat. Sammartino makes the cover but only gets a 2 count and then quickly follows up with a BEARHUG but Rogers manages to power out of the hold. A frustrated Sammartino delivers a pair of head first body slams and climbs the top turnbuckle preparing to deliver a flying knee drop to finish off his opponent but Rogers rolls clear at the last second. The crowd is completely silent as Rogers gets back on his feet, delivers an atomic drop, and applies a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE forcing The Living Legend to tap out ! 7. North American Title Match Bruiser Brody def Terry Gordy by DQ ****It doesn’t take for the action in this match to go outside the ring where Gordy eventually draws the disqualification retaining his North American Title. Both men score several near falls during this brutal back and forth battle that lasts for more than 15 minutes. The action continues after the bell with both men busted wide open and brawling back to the locker room area in a good finale to tonight’s big show
