Following the match DLJ snatched the object away from The Sheik who bailed out of the ring, leaving Farouk at the big man's mercy. DLJ used the object on Farouk for a small measure of revenge. Johnathan promised the Sheik that this isn't over.

All-Star Wrestling Presents:
Card 2 from Des Moines, Iowa
Match 1- Opening Match Yukon Eric with the Kodiak Krunch over Butcher Vachon
Match 2- Opening Match The Destroyer makes The French Angel submit to the figure four
Match 3- All-Star Wrestling Tag-team semi-final match The Sheepherders used the double gut-buster on Les Thatcher and took a spot in the Championship.
Match 4- Television Semi-Final Match Ted Dibiase defeats Ray "The Crippler" Stevens with Heenan in his corner when Heenan tried to interfere on his man's behalf was caught by Dibiase who knocked their heads together and slipped the figure four onto Stevens for the submission win.
Match 5- Mid card match Fritz Von Goering upset Magnum T. A. with his devasting backbreaker.
Match 6- All-Star Wrestling Heavyweight Semi-Final Match Killer Kowalski used an abdominal claw hold on Bobo Brazil.
Note: Bobby Heenan was absent from being in Kowalski's corner. Makes one wonder if Killer even needs a manager, hmm?
Match 7- All-Star Wrestling Tag-Team Semi-Final Match Bockwinkel and Stevens advances over a game Dibiase & Hacksaw Duggan when Bockwinkel slapped on the figure four on the American Patriot, Jim Duggan.
Note: Again, no Bobby Heenan. Could the head knock given to him by Dibiase earlier have caused serious damage? Hmmm.
Match 8- Television Semi-Final match Ivan Koloff turns back the challenge of Mad Dog Vachon with a Russian Bear Hug.
Match 9- Main Event All-Star Wrestling Semi-Final Match Nick Bockwinkel by match's end was a bloodied mess from The Sheik and that dastardly foreign object, but still hooks the figure four on The Mad Sheik.
Note: Neither man had their manager with them, Heenan missed his third match of the night likely due to the handling by Dibiase and Abdullah Farouk at the hands of Don Leo Johnathan following the previous card's results. Seems like Farouk was missed more in one match than Heenan being absent from three. Will wonderings never cease, hmmm?

All-Star Wrestling
Card 3 from Des Moines, Iowa
Opening Match The French Angel v. Fritz Von Goering Old feelings between these two international stars over World War II between their countries. Angel wants to prove that the French people have heart and strength to stand up to Germany. While Von Goering wants to prove that the German way is the only way.
An evenly well-fought match between the two men through the entirety of the match. Von Goering made a mistake and had words with the referee but the French Angel took advantage and got the submission win over the big German with the bear hug when his arm fell three times.
All-Star Wrestling Television Championship "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff v. Ted Dibiase
quick videos of how both men arrived to this match
Koloff turned back the challenges of Yukon Eric and Mad Dog Vachon.
Dibiase advanced with wins over Fritz Von Goering and Ray "The Crippler" Stevens.
Onto the match Dibiase just could not get any solid offense going and had his shoulders pinned for the 3-count following a Koloff leg drop.
Winner and All-Star Wrestling Televison Champion = "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff
All-Star Wrestling Tag-Team Championship
Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens with Bobby Heenan v. The Sheepherders.
Video package of the tag-team tournament for these two teams.
Bock & Stevens took out The Vachons followed by Ted Dibiase and Hacksaw Duggan.
The Sheepherders meanwhile collected wins over The Valiants and Pepper Gomez/Les Thatcher.
Onto the match
Heenan looked totally focused on this match even knowing what came later and was at his mangerial best but it sadly for The Brain's team that it wasn't enough when the Sheepherders win with a double gut-buster on Ray Stevens. Easily the match of the night this far.
Winners and All-Star Wrestling Tag-Team Champions= The Sheepherders
Intermission
Les Thatcher v. Mad Dog Vachon
Wild brawl outside the ring, the referee gave Mad Dog a second chance which was ignored causing a disqualification and giving Thatcher the win.
Don Leo Jonathan v. The Destroyer
DLJ took the winner's purse following multiple Mormon Swings. The Sheik tried to jump the big man but ended up dropping his foreign object in the ring which Jonathan recovered and The Sheik wanted nothing to do with DLJ after that.
Tag-Team Match The Valiants v. The Mongols
Mongolian Drop on Johnny V ended a rather decently done match.
All-Star Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Match Nick Bockwinkel with Bobby Heenan v. Killer Kowalski with Bobby Heenan
Let's look at how both men got here
Bockwinkel's road to the finals included wins over Pepper Gomez and The Sheik.
Kowalski's road went this way, Magnum T. A. and Bobo Brazil.
And now a quick word from the manager of both men, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
BH: You idiots sitting in the cheap seats here and the millions sitting at home eating their microwave dinners watching this top notch action are probably laughing your heads off thinking that The Heenan Family is done and over.
BH: Let me tell you morons something, I am The Brain and I have a match here that is win/win for me and my men. Whether or not Bockwinkel or Kowalski wins means everything the loser will have his chance down the road believe you, me. Again I am The Brain and I know everything that goes on.
Onto the match, Heenan chooses to sit in a neutral corner while both men wait in the ring and there's the bell.
Bockwinkel took control of the match at about the eight minute mark and hooked on the figure four leglock for the victory collecting the championship belt. Heenan jumps into the ring and congratulates Bockwinkel and consoles Kowalski giving him words of encouragement.
And now a word from the All-Star Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel.
I was the first man drafted by this exceptional promotion who had hoped that I would give them the results that they wanted from a man that they put so much research into for and not to toot my horn but I can outwrestle anyone. Not only here in All-Star Wrestling but anywhere around the world.
I have been told prior to this match that the winner will get a guaranteed spot in the FWA Championship tournament. And since I have come out on top of a great competitor in Killer Kowalski I truly feel bed for whoever enters that tournament because they know that a intelligent and great mat technician as myself will not only advance thru each round, but will wear a world championship belt at night's end.

Pepper Gomez and Magnum T.A. over The Vachons
Television Title Match Ivan Koloff retains his belt by forcing Les Thatcher to submit to the Russian bear hug. But that wasn't enough for Koloff who then resorted to pulverizing Thatcher with his russian chain. Koloff would've continued the beating if Bobo Brazil hadn't been in the next match and this brought him out just that much sooner for the save. Koloff bailed lout and Brazil got Thatcher some medical attention.
The Sheik with Farouk took advantage of Bobo Brazil who was concerned with the badly injured Les Thatcher, but that early advantage didn't last. Bobo took the win with several coco butts.
The Mongols won by DQ when Johnny Valiant slammed Bepo to the cement floor.
All-Star Wrestling Heavyweight Non-Title Match Nick Bockwinkel with Bobby Heenan had little trouble disposing of Don Leo Jonathan in a squash match.
