Thanks Crue.
Here are the results from the first card...
Card 1: Eastern Championship Wrestling @ Bayfront Arena, St. Petersburg, Florida
Florida is buzzing with excitement as the Historical Arena Wrestling Association presents its first card in the Eastern Championship Wrestling territory. Tonight 8 teams and 8 singles competitors will compete in the opening round of tournaments. The winner of each tournament will represent ECW at the upcoming Battle for the Belts mega show.
Bob Roop & Harley Race v. Bob Orton Sr & Iron Mike DiBiase A mixed reaction greets both teams and we get DiBiase and Race to start things off. Race takes immediate control and get the sudden win with a deathjump cross body block that does not look pretty but gets the job done. Time: 0:42
George Hackenschmidt v. Kevin Sullivan To say that Kevin Sullivan is not very popular in the Sunshine State is an understatement. Hackenschmidt has all the fans support he can handle and then some. Sullivan brawls early but bails to the floor once he tastes Hackenschmidt’s power with a wristlock suplex. Sullivan drags Hackenschmidt to the floor and runs him into the ring post earning a disqualification. Sullivan tries to continue his attack after the bell but wisely retreats to the back as Hackenschmidt appears ready to fight back. Time: 0:31.
Killer Bees v. Bob & Brad Armstrong Handshakes all around before the bell earns the fans respect. Bob Armstrong struggles to get something going against B. Brian Blair but Armstrong is able to avoid a charge into the corner and Blair hits the buckles hard. Armstrong strikes with a quick roll up to send his team to the next round. Time: 0:34.
Rick Rude v. Steve Williams Rude shows the fans what a real man looks like and the heat is off the charts. The pace is slow in this one with both men countering each other well. Rude is able to gain the advantage and connects with a top rope sledgehammer that forced Dr. Death to the floor. When Williams comes back into the ring Rude is ready and finishes it with a RUDE AWAKENING (snake eyes!). Time: 1:34.
Bobby Shane is on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter and expresses his frustration about not being included in tonight’s tournament. Shane declares himself the King of Wrestling and as such he should represent Eastern Championship Wrestling at Battle for the Belts.
Sheepherders v. Love Brothers The bloody antics of the Butch Miller and Luke Williams are well known to the Florida fans and the Love Brothers are feeling the love from ringside tonight. The start to this one is wild as Luke Williams attacks Reginald Love on the floor running him into the ring post and busting him open. Moments later Love returns the favour and we have double colour in the opening minute of the contest. Plenty of questionable double teaming in this one with the Lover Brothers setting the pace. Late in the match the action breaks down when Butch Miller saves his partner from being pinned after a DOUBLE SLAM by the Love Brothers but the Love Brothers weather the storm and Hartford Love puts Williams away with a NECKBREAKER. Time: 4:19. Bruiser Brody v. Ox Baker Seriously…are there two bigger and meaner competitors anywhere in the world? The fans are braced for impact. Brody is a man possessed tonight and tears into Baker. A JUMPING KNEE DROP has Baker beat but Sir Oliver Humperdink leads One Man Gang & Kurrgan to ringside. Brody throws caution to the wind and leaves the ring to battle Humperdink and his men. The referee calls for the disqualification. It looks like Brody might be overwhelmed until he starts swinging his chain and the House of Humperdink retreats to the dressing room. Time: 0:41
Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette v. Koko B. Ware & Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant The team of Ware & Valiant have the fans dancing as they make their way to the ring. Ware and Bobby Eaton trade moves in the ring and the action goes to the floor. Ware reverses a whip into the ring post and Eaton goes shoulder first to the steel. Ware tosses Eaton to the floor but this time, Eaton trips up Ware and drags him outside. Ware goes into the post and the referee calls for the disqualification. The Express are out and Ware & Valiant are onto the next round. Cornette is in hysterics at ringside but the decision stands. Time: 0:44
Ted DiBiase v. Magnum Terry Allen The fans love Allen especially the ladies at ringside. A handshake gets us going and the fans show their appreciation. Both men trade counters early on, first with DiBiase holding the advantage and later with Allen showing off his own skills. Allen connects with a series of dropkicks that spills DiBiase to the floor and Allen comes out after him. Both men brawl around the ring and the referee is out to restore order. DiBiase decks the referee and earns himself a disqualification. Both men brawl to the back with the fans cheering each blow. Time: 1:29.
News and Views: A somewhat disappointing conclusion to tonight’s action with back to back to back disqualification finishes . . .It appears that Sir Oliver Humperdink has made Bruiser Brody his first target for the House of Humperdink. Brody proved tonight that he won’t be taken down easily. More violence is likely to come . . . The fans were still buzzing about the tag team action between the Love Brothers and the Sheepherders after tonight’s card. There was immediate talk in the front office about booking a rematch as soon as possible . . . The next round of the tournaments will take place on Card 5 from the Montreal Forum in Montreal Quebec Canada and will feature the following bouts: Race & Roop v. Armstrongs, Hackenschmidt v. Rude, Love Brothers v. Valiant & Ware and Brody v. Allen.

Card 02 Metropolitan Championship Wrestling @ The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA
The road to Battle for the Belts continues in the City of Brotherly Love as four singles competitors and four tag teams begin double elimination tournaments tonight to earn the right to represent MCW at Battle for the Belts. Ilio DiPaolo v. Ivan Koloff w/Captain Lou Albano The fans are all over Albano as he leads Koloff to the ring. The fans are behind DiPaolo 100% from the outset and he gives them plenty to cheer about from the opening bell battering the big Russian from one side of the ring to the other. Koloff turns things around when he rams DiPaolo back first into the ring post drawing fantastic heat. DiPaolo makes a comeback with big right hands and has the match won with an AIRPLANE SPIN. Only the interference of Albano keeps the match going and he gets clotheslined to the floor for his trouble. Koloff is desperate and breaks out his chains earning a disqualification. DiPaolo is busted open and left dazed in the middle of the ring. Time: 3:17.
Ted DiBiase & Virgil v. Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill DiBiase has a fist full of cash as he comes to ring in his suit and Million Dollar Belt drawing fantastic heat. The Philly fans know the tandem of Doring and Roadkill and they get a solid ovation. Both teams are able to make frequent tags and cannot get a clear advantage. Doring escapes a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER midway through the match. There is a great exchange of counters between DiBiase and Roadkill at one point that ends with a sidewalk slam by Roadkill that shakes the ring and rocks ringside. Time is running down and Doring and Roadkill connect with BUGGY BANG on DiBiase but only get a 2 ½ count. Doring hits the G-Spot Sweep but DiBiase kicks out of the cover just as time expires. Time: 5:00.
Don Muraco w/Captain Lout Albano v. Antonio Inoki We get a great Beach Bum chant and Muraco is losing his mind. This one was epic. Inoki dominated the action early on tying Muraco up in various holds and nearly ending it with an OCTOPUS HOLD. For the second time tonight Albano’s inference saves his charge. The interference turns the match around and Inoki is nearly counted out of the ring after Muraco runs him into the ring steps. Muraco makes excellent use of the Asiatic Spike and nearly gets the submission before Inoki grabs the ropes. Time is beginning to run down and both men trade moves. Inoki catches a break and locks in an OCTOPUS HOLD. This time Muraco submits. The final pin tokens were Inoki 10, Muraco 8. Time: 4:34.
Jim Londos v. Ed “Strangler” Lewis Classic match-up leads to a classic match. Londos dominates most the action but cannot put Lewis away even after an AIRPLANE SPIN and BOSTON CRAB back to back. Late in the match, Lewis turns things around at ringside slamming Londos into the ring post leading to a near count-out. Londos never recovers and falls to the STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK. Time: 3:20
Tag Team Tournament – Round One Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito w/Captain Lou Albano v. The Last of the Famous International Playboys Albano continues his busy night returning to ringside for the third time. The ladies love the Playboys. This one is all Saito and Fuji from the outset much to the displeasure of the fans. Albano even gets his shots in at ringside and a one point Buff Bagwell is nearly counted out of the ring. Bagwell also survives a SCORPION LEGLOCK by grabbing the ropes before Mr. Fuji is disqualified for throwing salt into Brutus Beefcake’s eyes. Time: 2:55
Fabulous Kangaroos w/Wild Red Berry v. The New Impact Players Berry interferes early and often and a couple of cane shots have Justin Credible reeling. Credible does huge colour off the ring rails. Steve Corino saves Credible from a STEP OVER TOEHOLD and a BOOMERANG but Al Costello gets the win with a MARBLE BOR LEGLOCK. Time: 1:48.
Singles Tournament-Round One Antonino Rocca v. Frank Gotch A handshake gets the classic encounter of the high flyer against the mat specialist started. Gotch is able to get the action to the mat early on but cannot get close to a submission or pin. Rocca gets the match back to a vertical base and the momentum evens out. Rocca is able to trap Gotch is back to back ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKERS for the submission victory. Time: 2:43
Buddy Rogers v. Killer Kowalski There is no love lost between these two competitors who have battled in the eastern United States in the past. Rogers goes right after the leg and traps Kowalski in a figure four leglock (ch) and then a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE to get the win. Time: 0:24.
News and Views: Hot crowd tonight in Philadelphia that really added to the drama in the ring . . . A shocker in the main event as Nature Boy Buddy Rogers destroys Killer Kowalski when many were expecting a lengthy battle between the two men . . . Ilio DiPaolo was not pleased after getting stitched up and has asked promoters for another shot at Ivan Koloff. The rematch has been signed for card #6 at the Charlotte Coliseum . . . Rumour has it that Mr. Saito was not pleased with Mr. Fuji after Fuji cost his team a victory by getting disqualified. Saito and Fuji had dominated the match up until that disqualification . . . The team of Amish Roadkill and Danny Doring turned some heads with their performance tonight . . . The fans in attendance will be talking about Muraco –Inoki for some time to come . . .The tournaments will continue on card #6 when MCW rolls into Charlotte, North Carolina with Frank Gotch, Killer Kowalski, The New Impact Players and the team of Mr. Saito and Mr. Fuji all needing wins to stay alive.

I like the the four territories idea, and look forward to more results. ;D
on a side note, do you use real time for your time keeping? I have been looking for a way to determine time with out keeping track of rolls. If you are using real time, i saw a draw was 5:00. Do you use longer times for title matches?

Your fed is off to a nice start, Bookerbill. I liked the Sheepherders-Love Brothers bout and Inoki over Muraco sounded like a show stealer. Looking forward to upcoming shows and I like the title chase you have going on.

Card 03 Central States Championship Wrestling @ Market Square Arena, Indianapolis, Indiana
10 wrestlers will compete tonight in qualifying singles matches with the winners going on to the gauntlet challenge on card 7. The winner of that event will represent CSCW at the Battle for the Belts. Plus we three tag team encounters as well.
Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering v. The Canadians Nice heat for Angelo Mosca & The Mountie as they come to ringside. The Warriors dominate the action from the outset but Hawk takes things too far against Mosca when he battering rams him into the ring post and is disqualified. The fans are not pleased with the results but Mountie and Mosca retreat to the back with a win. Time: 2:18.
The Crusher v. Johnny Saint The winner of this one qualifies for the gauntlet on card 7. Handshake gets us going and Saint is able to avoid Crusher early on and nearly gets the win with The Russ Abbot. Crusher is finally able to brawl his way back and picks up the win with a CRUSHER BOLO to advance to the Gauntlet. Time: 1:37.
Bobo Brazil v. Dan “The Beast” Severn Interesting contrast of styles in this one. Brazil takes several minutes to greet his fans at ringside. Severn looks good early on but Brazil shows some countering skills and then uses his size advantage to get the upper hand. Brazil mixes brawling and a series of head scissors to keep Severn on the defensive. At one point Brazil comes off the top with a deathjump cross body the thrills the fans and leads to a 2 ½ count. Brazil ends it with a COCO BUTT and will compete in the Gauntlet. Time: 1:44
The James Gang v. Texas Hangmen The fans seem to enjoy the pre-match antics of B. G. James. Psycho looks good early on against Kip James but gets caught in the ring for too long and the advantage turns in favour of the James Gang. Some quick tags by the James Gang keeps Psycho in the ring and Kip James ends it with a STANDING LEG DROP while B. G. James blocks Killer from making the save. Time: 1:27.
Dave Taylor and Nigel McGuinness appear on the Hot Seat with Bill Apter. They cut heel promos and then declare themselves to be the best tag team in CSCW.
Nick Bockwinkel w/Bobby Heenan v. Diamond Dallas Page Page comes to the ring through the ringside fans to a monster pop. Bockwinkel is able to weather an early offensive attack by Page and take control of the action. There is a referee bump and Bockwinkel punishes Page with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Page appears to submit several times when the official was down. A new referee arrives (8 moves) and Bockwinkel continues to dominate getting the win with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Bockwinkel appears ready for the Gauntlet. Time: 2:29.
The Double Axe Attack v. Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon The fans have no love for the Vachon brothers. The Hennigs work together well early on and cut off Mad Dog Vachon from this brother. Larry Hennig unleashes his power on Vachon but then stuns everyone with a deathjump cross body that looks very sloppy but gets the 3 count. Time: 0:42.
Rob Van Dam w/ Bill Alfonso v. Sabu These two have a long history together both as a tag team and as enemies. Alfonso gets in the face of Gary Michael Cappetta and looks like he may attack the ring announcer when Sabu storms the ring and we are underway. The action unfolded at an incredible pace. Alfonso calls for the Van Daminator but RVD calls it off and Alfonso is not happy. Sabu hits a TRIPLE JUMP MOONSAULT for a 2 ¾ count but misses a second one. The match goes in and out of the ring and at one point Van Dam dives onto Sabu at ringside for a huge pop. Van Dam picks up the win with a deathjump cross body block. The action is not over as Sabu and Van Dam trade blows after the bell. Van Dam gets the upper hand and Alfonso breaks out the table. Van Dam sets up the table in the middle of the ring and puts Sabu through it with a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH. Sabu needs medical assistance before being stretchered from the ring. Time: 3:13. Lou Thesz v. The Sheik w/Abdullah Farouk One of the greatest scientific competitors of all time against one of the greatest brawlers of all time. Sheik takes his time praying in the ring before the match drawing fantastic heat. Thesz shows no fear and goes right after his opponent even battling Sheik at ringside. At one point, Thesz runs Sheik into the rails and busts him open. Sheik has his moments, especially when the match went to the floor, but in the ring it was all Thesz who moves onto the Gauntlet with a THESZ PRESS (snake eyes!). Time: 2:03
News and Views: No upsets in the qualifying bouts for the Gauntlet which will take place at St. Louis Arena and will feature The Crusher v. Bobo Brazil v. Nick Bockwinkel v. Rob Van Dam v. Lou Thesz . . . Sabu sustained a four card injury at the hand of Rob Van Dam. Abdullah Farouk told Bill Apter after the matches that he has offered his services to Sabu at the request of The Shiek. Things will only get more violent between Sabu and RVD from this point. How long will it be before the Van Dam feels the Sheik’s wrath directly? . . .

Flying Redheads v. Paul London & Brian Kendrick Great ovation for both teams from the fans and handshakes all around get us going. The pace of this one was off the charts as you would expect with these four competitors in the ring. Kendrick and London dominate the action using plenty of high flying offense and double teaming. Late in the match, Red Bastien gets some traction for the Redheads and he sends Kendrick into the ropes but Kendrick rebounds with a perfect cross body block to send his team into the semi-finals. Time: 3:03. Hamilton Wrecking Crew v. Konnan & Super Crazy Great reaction from ringside for Konnan & Crazy. This one was a classic. The Tolos brothers struggled early on with their opponents from Mexico but Chris Tolos turned things around against Crazy with a chair shot across the back. The Tolos brothers dominated the action following that but Super Crazy saved Konnan from a FLYING KNEE DROP to keep the action going. The Tolos brothers get more aggressive as the when on and both Konnan and Crazy due colour after brawls on the floor. John Tolos runs Konnan into the rails for a third time with time nearly expired and the referee decides to disqualify him. Time: 4:47.
The Masked Superstars v. The New Blond Bombers w/Sherri Martel The fans do not care for either team and jeer all four men as they come to the ring. The Superstars were in control until Stevens caught Superstar on the top of the corner and tossed him to the mat. Rose tagged in and immediately hits a BOMBS AWAY for the win at 1:16.
Bolsheviks w/Nikita Breznikov v. Brian Kendrick & Paul London We get another rendition of the Russian Anthem which earns Nikolai Volkoff massif heat. Both teams are able to use defensive tags throughout the match that spills in and out of the ring and goes back and forth. No team can get the clear advantage. With time running down, Stevens connects with a back to back BOMBS AWAY on London but Kendrick makes the save each time. Stevens then executes a simple vertical suplex and hooks the leg for the three count. Time: 4:50.

Awesome PCW show, Bookerbill. It sounded like the Cow Palace was rocking and I love Ray Stevens & Buddy Rose as the new Blond Bombers with Sherri Martel as their manager. I'm looking forward to the upcoming championship matches and Tiger Mask going on to represent PCW at Battle for the Belts should be interesting.
