Vegas - great stuff as always, but I'm already working on my bracket for the Sammartino Invitational! It's May Madness, baby! ;D Thanks Tim! Once I get done playing and posting this weekend's shows, I plan on posting the thread for MLW Madness 2010 which this year (since I'm going to California next weekend for PWG's annual DDT4 show) takes place from Thursday May 13th-Sunday May 16th. I'm going to try to have that thread going by Monday evening.

- This match pitted 1/2 of the 2 opposing teams of 4 in the upcoming War Games main event match for War Games Smackdown and the Planet Hollywood Bracket's #2 seed (Hackenschmidt and Brazil) vs the Mandalay Bay Bracket's #1 seed (Rogers and Rikidozan) of the upcoming Fourth Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- In addition, every winner of the three previous Sammartino Invitationals was represented in this match as Brazil won the first two tournaments along with his best friend RAW's Mil Mascaras as the Brothers of Other Mothers and Rogers and Rikidozan together won last year's tournament.
- A great match that had everyone standing in The Major League Wrestling Arena, Hackenschmidt got the win by placing his enemy Rogers in the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG and then putting Rogers in the pinning position for the 1, 2, 3 as Brazil prevented Rikidozan from making the pin save.

Match #1: EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and King Kong Bundy (both accompanied by Virgil and the Valiants) defeated Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill
- This opening match pitted the Planet Hollywood Bracket's #7 seed (DiBiase and Bundy) against The Palms Bracket's #14 seed (Doring and Roadkill) of the upcoming Fourth Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- DiBiase and Bundy got the easy victory when Bundy pinned Doring via a running powerslam.
- Afterward, DiBiase got on the microphone to say/complain his superior MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino has made the following match for War Games EAWA during Pay Per View Weekend War Games at the end of this month: Double Axe Attack, The Crusher, and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams against the Cabinet: DiBiase, Bundy, and the Valiants in a War Games match!
- However, DiBiase says The Crusher and Williams, who last time on EAWA ran into the ring to make the save for the Double Axe Attack against the Cabinet, will learn not to get involved in his business and later tonight will have to take on the visiting tag team of Demolition!
- DiBiase also says tonight the Double Axe Attack will take on the Valiants and Virgil in a 2 on 3 handicap match!

- This match pitted the Palms Bracket's #3 seed (the visiting Funks) against The Orleans Bracket's #4 seed (RVD and Sabu) of the upcoming Fourth Annual Sammartino Invitational.
- A great tag match that ended when Terry Funk pinned Sabu via a deathjump followed by putting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage as the referee made the 3 count.
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and features a tag team battle royal, the Double Axe Attack vs the Valiants and Virgil, and The Crusher and Dr. Death vs Demolition!

Match #1: #1 seeded World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors defeated #16 seeded Sky Low Low and Little Beaver
- Road Warriors get an extremely easy victory when Road Warrior Hawk pinned Sky Low Low following the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Match #2: #9 seeded Killer Bees defeated #8 seeded Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake
- The first upset of the tournament happens when B. Brian Blair pinned Beefcake following the BEE STING.
Match #3: #13 seeded The Mountie and Maurice Tillet defeated #4 seeded the Double Axe Attack by DQ.
- This match ended in a DQ when the Double Axe Attack, who normally don't have to worry about DQs wrestling on MLW's extreme rules brand the EAWA- except this is an inter-promotional matchup, were DQd when the action spilled outside of the ring where EAWA Champion Curt Henning was caught hitting Tillet with a steel chair.
Match #4: #12 seeded Ray Stevens and the Terrible Turk defeated #5 seeded the Valiants
- The third upset of the first 4 matches of this tournament occurs when Stevens and the Terrible Turk eliminated former EAWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants when the Terrible Turk made Jimmy Valiant tap out to his STRANGLEHOLD.
Match #5: #2 seeded George Hackenschmidt and Bobo Brazil defeated #15 seeded Naptown Dragons.
- The Naptown Dragons put up a good fight and almost scored the upset but lost when Hackenschmidt pinned Dustin Lee via a wristlock suplex.
Match #6: #7 seeded EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and King Kong Bundy (both accompanied by Virgil) defeated #10 seeded Diamond Dallas Page and Konnan
- DiBiase and Bundy advance when Bundy pinned DDP after an AVALANCHE.
Match #7: #3 seeded Demolition defeated #14 seeded Sandman and D' Lo Brown by DQ.
- Demolition advance when Sandman (who normally doesn't have to worry about DQs wrestling on MLW's EAWA brand, but again EAWA rules don't apply in this inter-promotional tournament) got DQd for using his SINGAPORE CANE.
Match #8: #6 seeded the Masked Superstars defeated #11 seeded Jushin Liger and Pepper Gomez.
- the Masked Superstars advanced when Masked Superstar managed to put Liger away via his COBRA HOLD.
Mandalay Bay Bracket
#1 seeded MLW Champion Buddy Rogers and United States Champion Rikidozan (both managed by Eddie Fyne) defeated #16 seeded S.D. Jones and Johnny Rodz
-The winners of last year's Third Annual Sammartino Invitational advanced easily when Rikidozan pinned Jones via THUNDEROUS CHOPS as Jones and Rodz didn't even manage a single move of offense in this match.
Match #2: #9 seeded the Mongols (managed by Sir Oliver Humperdink) defeated #8 seeded Rick Rude and Ox Baker (both Managed by Bobby Heenan)
- Mongols win when Bepo Mongol pinned Baker via a running stomp.
- Afterward, a furious Heenan shook his fist and yelled at Baker for taking the pinfall defeat.
Match #3: #4 seeded World Champion Mil Mascaras and Jim Londos defeated #13 seeded Claudio Castagnoli and Brent Albright (both managed by Larry Sweeney)
- Londos survived almost tapping out to Albright's CROWBAR and scored the win for himself and Mascaras when he pinned Castagnoli after Castagnoli missed a turnbuckle charge.
Match #4: #5 seeded Intercontinental Champion The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk) and John Pesek defeated #12 seeded the Body Donnas (managed by Tammy)
- The Sheik pinned Prichard after a stab with a sharp object.
Match #5: #2 seeded Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, both managed by Jim Cornette and accompanied by the One Man Gang) defeated #15 seeded Young Bucks
- Although it took distraction from Cornette to prevent what looked like an apparent early pinfall victory via MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK away from the Young Bucks, the Midnight Express regrouped and managed to score the victory when Eaton pinned Nick Jackson via the VEG-O-MATIC.
Match #6: #7 seeded New Age Outlaws defeated #10 seeded the Armstrongs
- B.G. James pinned Brad Armstong via his PUMP HANDLE SLAM.
Match #7: #3 seeded the Steiners defeated #14 seeded Playboy Buddy Rose and Boris Zhukov
- In an easy win, the Steiners advanced when Rick Steiner pinned Zhukov via a belly to belly suplex.
Match #8: #6 seeded Minor League Wrestling Tag Team Champions the Age of the Fall (accompanied by both Brodie Lee and Daizee Haze) defeated #11 seeded Gorgeously Exotic
- Age of the Fall become the first Minor League Wrestling entrant to advance when Tyler Black pinned Exotic Adrian Street via his PHOENIX SPLASH.
The Palms Bracket
Match #1: #1 seeded Frank Gotch and Andre the Giant defeated #16 seeded Iron Mike DiBiase and "Precious" Paul Ellering
- Gotch, who had to survive a near pinfall from DiBiase, forced Ellering to tap out to the GOTCH TOEHOLD.
Match #2 #9 seeded Mr. Canada and Buff Bagwell defeated #8 seeded Don Muraco and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. (both managed by Sherri Martel) by DQ
- This match ended in a DQ when Muraco (last year's Money in the Bank winner) hit Mr. Canada (this year's Money in the Bank winner) with Mr. Canada's Money in the Bank briefcase.
Match #3: #4 seeded The Beast and The Strangler defeated #13 seeded Bob Orton Sr. and Justin Credible by DQ.
- This match ended when another EAWA tag team entrant that normally doesn't have to worry about DQs on the extreme rules MLW brand of EAWA got DQd as the referee caught Credible hitting Dan Severn with his SINGAPORE CANE.
- Afterward, Credible continued hitting Severn with his SINGAPORE CAME until Severn managed to wrestle the Singapore cane away from Credible only to accidentally hit Lewis with the Singapore cane in the process. Lewis then walked away for Severn in disgust in a sign of dissension in the ranks for The Beast and The Strangler.
Match #4: #12 seeded Brian Kendrick and Paul London defeated #4 seeded the Vachons (managed by "Wild" Red Berry) by DQ.
- Kendrick and London advance to the next round when the Vachons (yet another EAWA tag team that normally doesn't have to worry about DQs while on EAWA) got DQd for both using steel chairs against Kendrick when the action spilled outside of the ring.
Match #5: #2 seeded Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka defeated #15 seeded Samoan Island Tribe
- Brody pinned Samu via JUMPING KNEE DROP.
Match #6: # 7 seeded Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff (both managed by Nikita Breznikov) defeated #10 seeded Magnum T.A. and Cruiserweight Champion Tiger Mask.
- Volkoff pinned Magnum T.A. via BACKBREAKER DROP while Koloff got away with choking Magnum T.A. out with his chain while the referee made the 3 count.
Match #7: #3 seeded the Funks defeated #14 Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill

- Roy Heffernan put Sharpe away via his STEP OVER TOEHOLD.
Match #2: #8 seeded Iron Sheik (managed by Humperdink) and Killer Kowalski defeated #9 seeded Love Brothers
- Iron Sheik made Reginald Love tap out to the CAMEL CLUTCH.
Match #3: #13 seeded Brass Knuckles Champion George "the Animal" Steele and Hillbilly Jim defeated #4 seeded EAWA Tag Team Champions Rob Van Dam and Sabu.
- Steele and Hillbilly Jim scored the surprising upset and caused lots of betting tickets to get ripped up and litter the floor when Hillbilly Jim made Sabu tap out to his BEARHUG while Steele chased RVD around the ring to prevent him from making the pin save.
Match #4: #12 seeded Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness (managed by Les Thatcher) defeated #5 seeded Antonino Rocca and Antonio Inoki
- Danielson and McGuinness score the stunning upset to advance to the next round when McGuinness pinned Inoki via a JAWBREAKER LARIAT as the TV announcers wonder aloud how long will it take for Danielson and McGuinness to get promoted from Minor League Wrestling to Major League Wrestling.
Match #5: #2 seeded Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race (both managed by Heenan and accompanied by Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker) defeated #15 seeded Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke
- Bockwinkel and Race advanced in just 3 moves when Race pinned Cousin Luke via his PILEDRIVER.
- Afterward, Yukon Eric, who has expressed dissatisfaction with Cousin Luke this year and who didn't even get a chance to tag in this match, appeared to help Cousin Luke up before suddenly attacking him and abandoning him in the ring!

- Road Warriors advance again when, after Road Warrior Hawk gave B. Brian Blair a spike piledriver, Road Warrior Hawk pinned Blair via the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Match #2: #13 seeded The Mountie and Maurice Tillet defeated #12 seeded Ray Stevens and the Terrible Turk
- Tillet made the Terrible Turk tap out to his BEARHUG.

- In an awesome match that brought down the house, Kendrick and London advance to the Sweet 16 when London pinned Lewis via his 450 SPLASH.
- Afterward, frustrated at taking the loss and apparently still upset at what happened between them at the end of their First Round match, Lewis suddenly grabbed Severn and placed him in the STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK and refused to relinquish the hold until about 30 security officials arrived.
Match #3: #7 seeded Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff (both managed by Nikita Breznikov) defeated #2 seeded Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka by DQ
- This match ended in a DQ when Koloff looked ready to try and cheat by hitting Snuka with his chain and Magnum T.A., apparently still mad at how Koloff and Volkoff used Koloff's chain to cheat to pin him in the First Round, suddenly ran down and attacked Koloff and Volkoff. This led the referee no choice but to award the match via DQ to Koloff and Volkoff as it appears a new feud has started between Magnum T.A. and the Russians!
Match #4: #11 seeded Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Bob Roop defeated #3 seeded the Funks
- Duggan and Roop score the upset to advance and take on Koloff and Volkoff in the next round when Duggan suddenly pinned Dory Funk Jr. via a FLYING SPEAR.
- As a result, only the Steiners remain of the the 4 outside visiting tag teams for this tournament!

- This match ended in a DQ when the action spilled outside of the ring where Steele (who as an EAWA brand wrestler normally doesn't have to worry about getting DQd) got DQd for hitting Danielson with a steel chair.

- The Road Warriors moved on to the Elite Eight when Road Warrior Animal pinned Tillet via a POWERSLAM.
Match #2: #2 seeded George Hackenschmidt and Bobo Brazil defeated #6 seeded the Masked Superstars
- Hackenschmidt pinned the Masked Superstar via his RUSSIAN BEARHUG.

Match #1: #1 seeded MLW Champion Buddy Rogers and United States champion Rikidozan (both managed by Eddie Fyne) defeated #4 seeded World Champion Mil Mascaras and Jim Londos
- Rogers and Rikidozan advanced when Rogers cheated by defeating Mascaras via "pin using ropes."
- Afterward, after helping his tag team partner Mascaras up, Londos said they did a good job in this tournament together and he knows they respect each other and thus he wants to challenge Mascaras for his World Championship at PPV Weekend's War Games Raw! - the Steiners dominated most of this match but lost when the New Age Outlaws managed a reversal and Kip James soon afterward pinned Scott Steiner via a power slam.

- Although they were definitely one of the Cinderella stories of this tournament by becoming one of the last 12 out of 64 tag teams remaining, Kendrick and London couldn't defeat Gotch and Andre as Gotch made Kendrick tap out to his GOTCH TOEHOLD.
- Afterward, Kendrick and London got a standing ovation from the entire crowd for their valiant effort against seemingly overwhelming odds as the TV announcers wonder aloud how long will it take Kendrick and London to get promoted from Minor League Wrestling to Major League Wrestling?
Match #2: #7 seeded Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff (both managed by Nikita Breznikov- defeated #11 seeded Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Bob Roop (both accompanied by Magnum T.A.)
- Before this match began, Duggan said he was proud to announce that a"true American" Magnum T.A, (who has been fighting Koloff and Volkoff throughout this tournament) would be in their corner to keep an eye on Breznikov.
- This match ended when Volkoff pinned Duggan via a deathjump while getting away with holding the ropes with his hands for extra leverage.
