And now, after it's nearly 3 month break in real time (but only about 5 weeks in game time- MLW's annual short Summer break ), Major League Wrestling (MLW) tonight makes it's long awaited return since the annual MLW Draft with this week's edition of Thursday Night RAW!Major League Wrestling (MLW)
RAWThursday Year 4 July 15, 2010
The Major League Wrestling Arena
Las Vegas, NV
(First Half of the Show)Match #1: Justin Credible defeated MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt in a non-title match- the first match of RAW featured the brand's debut of 2 wrestlers acquired in the recent annual MLW Draft- Credible from the EAWA and the MLW Champion Hackenschmidt from Smackdown!
-Credible put up some incredible offense and almost defeated the champion with THAT'S INCREDIBLE itself. But Hackenschmidt battled back and seemed poised to win when suddenly Bobby Heenan (accompanied by Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker) came out to distract the referee which allowed Credible to hit Hackenschmidt with his Singapore cane outside of the ring leading to an upset countout victory.
- After Credible got his hand raised and departed while Hackenschmidt slowly struggled to pick himself off of the arena floor, Heenan grabbed the microphone.
- Heenan: "Welcome to RAW, Hackenschmidt. I'm Bobby Heenan of the Heenan Family and we run this brand. Since the next RAW PPV is called Fatal Fourway RAW with a main event of 3 former champions here on RAW challenging you for the MLW Championship, I'd thought I'd introduce you to two of my Family members who will be 2 of your 3 opponents that night- Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race!"
- Bockwinkel and Race come out to stand near Heenan and Baker.
- Heenan (to the crowd): "And, although the Heenan Family lost Rick Rude in the draft, tonight the Heenan Family will announce the addition of 2 new members!"
- the Heenan Family then depart to a loud chorus of boos as Hackenschmidt finally manages to regain his feet.
Match #2: S.D. Jones defeated Cowboy Bob Orton Jr.- An upset occurs for the second match in a row tonight as Orton Jr. controlled most of the action but Jones turned it around and won via a deathjump.
In the Ring: Mr. Canada (Billy "Red" Lyons)
- Mr. Canada: "Although this is my first appearance on RAW since coming over in the annual MLW Draft, I of course need no introduction. Everybody on Smackdown was glad to see me go because they no longer have to worry about facing me in the ring as I am (indicating his Money in the Bank briefcase that he won at Wrestlemania 3 earlier this year) going to become a future MLW Champion."
- Mr. Canada: "Because I am Mr. Canadaaaaaaa. And I'm,
AWESOME!!!"
Backstage: the office of RAW General Manager Bob Backlund. Backlund is with the Heenan Family.
- Backlund (to Heenan): "What you said out there about Fatal Fourway RAW isn't entirely correct. While what you said about the main event being MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt against 3 former champions here on RAW is correct, his 3 opponents will all be former champions here on RAW who were also champions while on RAW. So that eliminates your man Race and also Frank Gotch since you were both champions over on Smackdown and not here on RAW. Instead, Hackenschmidt's 3 challengers at Fatal Fourway RAW will be former RAW champions Jimmy Snuka, Bruiser Brody, and your man Nick Bockwinkel."
- Heenan: "But Harley was an actual former MLW Champion while on Smackdown- the top belt that's currently being defended now here on RAW. And Brody shouldn't be in that match anyway since he couldn't even defeat Intercontinental Champion The Sheik at War Games RAW."
- Backlund: "You have a point. Tonight on RAW we'll have match between Brody and Race with the winner getting the final spot in Fatal Fourway RAW!"
- Backlund: "And speaking of Fatal Fourway RAW, I now need to go to the ring to address how I'm going to resolve the current MLW Tag Team Championship vacancy."
- Heenan (after Backlund leaves, to his Family): "I don't think Frank Gotch will want to be part of the championship match at Fatal Fourway RAW anyway with the surprise we have planned for him tonight."
- Heenan (to Baker): "Which reminds me Ox. Harley isn't the only
Family member with a match tonight on RAW as I set you up with a match against Andre the Giant. You've caused us to lose some matches lately and you've been more of a Heenan Family problem causer than a Heenan Family problem solver. You better not disappoint me tonight."
- Heenan, Bockwwinkel, and Race all leave with a surprised Baker- who has been the Heenan Family's "problem solver" since almost the start of Major League Wrestling- standing all alone.
In the Ring: RAW General Manager Bob Backlund
- Backlund: "With the Masked Superstar getting moved back to the EAWA in the recent annual MLW Draft, the Masked Superstars had to drop the MLW Tag Team Championship leaving the title currently vacant."
- Backlund: "At Fatal Fourway RAW, we're going to determine a new champion through a four way tag elimination match. The previous champions the Fabulous Kangaroos will be one of those 3 teams and their opponents will be determined through a series of qualifying matches here on RAW tonight which start right now!"
Match #3: Gorgeously Exotic (Gorgeous George and Exotic Adrian Street) defeated the Body Donnas (managed by Tammy) in a Fatal Fourway RAW Qualifying Match. - Exotic Adrian Street pinned Chris Candido via a knee lift while getting away with holding Candido's trunks for extra leverage as Gorgeously Exotic win a spot in the 4 way tag elimination match at Fatal Fourway RAW for the vacant MLW Tag Team Championship.
Match #4: The Mongols defeated Hillbilly Jim and Cousin Luke in a Fatal Fourway RAW Qualifying Match.- This match featured the RAW debuts of the Mongols (who came over from the EAWA in the recent annual MLW Draft) and Hillbilly Jim (who also arrived from the EAWA in the MLW Draft) with Hillbilly Jim dancing with Cousin Luke before the match started.
- This match ended when Yukon Eric (Cousin Luke's former tag team partner and now current enemy) came out to distract Hillbilly Jim who was then put away by the MONGOL DROP to eliminate the Hillbillies and allow the Mongols to advance to Fatal Fourway RAW.
Match #5: Love Brothers defeated the Armstrongs- Reginald Love pinned "Bullet" Bob Armstrong via a DOUBLE SLAM with Hartford Love and got away with putting his feet on the ropes for extra leverage while the referee made the 3 count to give the Love Brothers the final spot in the 4 way tag elimination match at Fatal Fourway RAW for the vacant MLW Tag Team Championship.
End of First Half. Second Half, where the two newest members of the Heenan Family will be revealed, will be posted next later tonight!
