It's now time for Wrestlemania 2!
Wrestlemania 2 was preceded by a special 90 minute edition of Major League Wrestling: Fight Night which recapped all of the major storylines going into today's PPV and included the following dark matches.
Minor League Wrestling (MiLW) Dark Match: Backseat Boyz defeated the Heartbreak Express (managed by Johnny Fairplay)
- Johnny Kashmere pinned Fabulous Phil Davis following the Backseat Driver.
RAW Dark Match: Missing Link defeated Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez by DQ.
- This match ended when the action spilled outside of the ring where the Missing Link picked up a steel chair. Gomez grabbed it away from him but, apparently in self-defense, used it against the Missing Link leading the referee to signal for the belt.
- Although he still retains the Cruiserweight Championship, Gomez's recent lack of success continued with this loss.
Smackdown Dark Match: New Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Rapping Red Bastien) and Koko B. Ware defeated The Mongols and their manager Sir Oliver Humperdink by DQ in a 6 man tag team match.
- This match ended in a DQ when Humperdink used a pair of BRASS KNUCKLES to hit Condrey in his groin.
EAWA Dark Match: The Vachons (managed by "Wild" Red Berry) defeated EAWA Tag Team Champions the Valiants in a non-title match.
- The Vachons won this match when Butcher Vachon forced Johnny Valiant to tap out to his HANGMAN.
- However, since the Vachons failed to win the non-title match last weekend on EAWA against the Valiants, this match was also non-title so there wasn't a title change. However, the TV announcers comment that this could possibly lead to an upcoming title match soon for the Vachons.
- As the last dark match concludes, the host of Major League Wrestling: Fight Night tells his audience "There's STILL time to order Wrestlemania 2. Call your cable company now and tell them you want to be part of MLW History!"
- And then the screen goes blank as Wrestlemania 2 is set to begin!
End of the pre-show. Posted next will be the First Third (New York matches) of Wrestlemania 2 including:
- Dan "the Beast" Severn vs Antonio Inoki
- the 3 way tag elimination brand superiority match pitting RAW's New Age Outlaws vs Smackdown's the Armstrongs vs EAWA's the Heroes of Hardcore
- the Hot Seat announcing/introducing the 4 outside tag teams participating in next month's Third Annual Sammartino Invitational
- United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams vs Killer Kowalski
- Jim Londos vs Harley Race
- MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino vs Nick Bockwinkel (New York portion of tonight's main event)

Wrestlemania 2 Major League Wrestling (MLW) Madison Square Garden New York City (First Third of the show) (note: all match ratings are based on a 4 star system)
Wrestlemania 2 started off with the first 5 matches taking place from New York City and with Bruce Springsteen singing the national anthem and then the bell rang to signal it was time for the participants in the first match to be introduced.
Match #1: Jim Londos vs Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by Heenan family "problem solver" Ox Baker)
- Wrestlemania 2's opening match pitted two men who last year at the first Wrestlemania both won titles as Race defeated his former fellow Horsemen Buddy Rogers to win the MLW Championship and Londos pinned Larry Zbyszko in the 6 man tag elimination match to become the new Intercontinental Champion.
- For this match, Race came out to his new entrance music "Bow Down to the King" (but not wearing a crown or purple robe) and then grabbed the microphone.
- Race: "Last year at Wrestlemania's final match I won the MLW Championship while this year I'm in the opening match. But whether I end the show or start the show, I'm still the King of the Ring."
- Then Jim Londos' entrance music of the Olympic theme song from "Chariots of Fire" started up and Londos came down to the ring to a loud ovation from the fans.
- Race started the match clearly in control and scored a couple of near pinfalls before throwing Londos out of the ring where he was worked over by Baker as Race distracted the referee. Baker moved away as the referee proceeded to start the count for Londos and it looked like Londos was going to be unable to recover and enter the ring in time but at the 9 count managed to roll himself back into the ring to the cheers of the crowd to force the match to continue.
- Race continued to control the action until he missed a falling knee drop which finally allowed Londos to make a comeback with the crowd roaring to its feet in support of the popular Londos. Londos and Race proceeded to exchange offense and at one point both brawled outside of the ring before returning where each scored 2 near pinfalls/submission attempts against the other.
- The match ended in controversy as Londos had Race in his BOSTON CRAB and Race was tapping out but the referee didn't see it because Heenan jumped on the ring apron to distract the official. As Londos released his finishing hold and advanced to the apron to confront Heenan, Race recovered and hit Londos from behind with his PILEDRIVER to get the win. *** 1/2
Match #1 Winner: Harley Race. Race is now 2-0 at Wrestlemania.
Match #2: RAW's New Age Outlaws vs Smackdown's the Armstrongs vs EAWA's The Heroes of Hardcore (Hardcore Hodge and Hardcore Hutton) in a 3 way tag elimination brand superiority match.
- Except for Hodge and Hutton who last year participated in but didn't win the Money in the Bank match, this was the first Wrestlemania for all these competitors.
- First Elimination: In this first fall, one member of the New Age Outlaws was in the ring the entire time while the Armstrongs and The Heroes of Hardcore would repeatedly tag in a member from the opposing side. The New Age Outlaws at first brilliantly deflected attempted offense from the Armstrongs and The Heroes of Hardcore and the end came when B.G. James pinned Brad Armstrong via the PUMP HANDLE SLAM.
- Second/Final Elimination: The apparent strategy in the previous fall by The Heroes of Hardcore to keep tagging in one of the Armstrongs instead of each other seemed to pay off early in this fall as the New Age Outlaws acted as the more tired tag team and had to survive 4 pin/submission attempts. But the New Age Outlaws eventually lost as Hardcore Hodge pinned B.G. James via an OKLAHOMA SIDEROLL. ** 1/2
Match #2 Winner: The Heroes of Hardcore
Match #3: Dan "the Beast" Severn vs Antonio Inoki
- This was Severn's first Wrestlemania while Inoki wrestled in last year's opening match losing to his friend and fellow countryman Giant Baba.
- The end of this match came with Severn in control as he wore down Inoki via a series of German suplexes, heel hooks, bow and arrows, and a fireman's carry slam for the pinfall victory.
- However the match ended in controversy as Inoki got his feet on the ropes while the referee was making the 3 count but Severn surprised everyone by shoving Inoki's feet off the rope before the referee noticed anything and was awarded the match as a result. * 1/2.
Match #3 Winner: Dan "the Beast" Severn
The Hot Seat: Bill Apter said hello to the MLW Universe and then announced he would be introducing the 4 visiting tag teams who will be participating in next month's 64 tag team tournament the Third Annual Sammartino Invitational!
First Team: Suddenly the entrance music saying "Here comes the Ax and here comes the Smasher..." starts playing as Demolition is introduced.
Second Team: Rock N' Roll Express
Third Team: The Fantastics
Fourth Team: The Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Terry Gordy)
- After all 4 teams are introduced, Apter finishes by saying Demolition, the Rock N' Roll Express, The Fantastics, and The Freebirds have all signed temporary MLW contracts until the Third Annual Sammartino Invitational at the end of April and will be making guest wrestling appearances on RAW, Smackdown, and the EAWA in the coming weeks until the tag team tournament takes place!
(Promoter's Note: The cards for all of the above tag teams are from Cory Olson's LOW Bootlegs)
Match #4: United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams vs Killer Kowalski
- This match pitted Williams defending his title against his former manager Kowalski. At last years Wrestlemania, Williams lost a coffin match against his former tag team partner Bruiser Brody while this is Kowalski's first wrestling appearance at Wrestlemania.
- Kowalski started off this match against his former protege with a face ripper and proceeded to unleash an offensive onslaught that included 2 bombs away kneedrops. Kowalski applied his feared KOWALSKI CLAW but Williams refused to submit. Kowalski, seemingly with more force, reapplied the KOWALSKI CLAW but Williams got out of it by using his feet to push off from the mat and propel himself to the ropes which he grabbed leading the referee to order Kowalski to release his dreaded finisher.
- Kowalski continued in control seemingly intent on winning the United States Championship but the defending champion regained the offensive when Kowalski threw him into the turnbuckle where he managed to prop himself up and use his boots to hit an incoming charging Kowalski.
- The two then exchanged offense before Kowalski scored a near pinfall following a giant swing. But Williams managed to break a stepover toehold by Kowalski and hit his former manager with a vertical suplex followed up by 2 straight football tackles and then seemingly started to execute a German suplex which he instead converted into a Backdrop Driver. Kowalski manged to kick out of the resulting pin attempt but Williams proceeded to give his former manager a press slam followed by a lariat and then the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE for the win to retain the United States Championship *** 1/2
Match #4 Winner: United States Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams
Match #5, the main event: MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino vs Nick Bockwinkel (managed by Bobby Heenan and accompanied by Heenan Family "problem solver" Ox Baker
(Promoter's Note: the card for Sammartino is from Cory Olson's LOW Bootlegs)
- Both competitors participated in last year's Wrestlemania as Sammartino lost to Frank Gotch and Bockwinkel retained the World Championship against Mil Mascaras in the best 2 out of 3 falls match that served as RAW's portion of the main event.
- Coming back to the New York area where he achieved much of his success before starting up Major League Wrestling (MLW) in Las Vegas, Sammartino was treated as a returning hero by the New York crowd.
- However, this match would not prove to be a triumphant return for Bockwinkel as early in the match Baker got away with reaching through the ropes to give Sammartino a powerful HEART PUNCH that sent Sammartino crumpling to the mat. Bockwinkel then took advantage of this interference/distraction to win the match via a Boston Crab as, although Sammartino didn't tap out, the referee saw Sammartino was unconscious and thus in no condition to continue and called for the bell to award the match to Bockwinkel while paramedics and EMTS raced to ringside to put Sammartino on a stretcher and then apparently to the hospital. *
Match #5 Winner: Nick Bockwinkel As a result, both Bockwinkel and Race of the Heenan Family are now 2-0 at Wrestlemania.
- As Sammartino was being carried away, Bockwinkel got on the microphone to say "Next month's Sammartino Invitational should be renamed the Sammartino Memorial because I just ended the wrestling career of Bruno Sammartino!"
As the New York crowd responds by throwing trash at Bockwinkel, Heenan, and Baker, the New York portion of Wrestlemania 2 comes to an end.
End of the First Third (New York matches). Second Third (Chicago matches) of Wrestlemania 2 will be posted next and includes:
- a special attraction match of Andre the Giant vs both Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff
- Antonino Rocca vs EAWA Champion Bob Orton Sr.
- the 30 man Major League Wrestling vs Minor League Wrestling Battle Royal.
- World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors vs United States tag Team Champions the Midnight Express in a best 2 out of 3 falls no DQ title unification match
- George Hackenschmidt vs MLW Champion Buddy Rogers (Chicago portion of tonight's main event)

The four teams announced for the Sammartino Invitational are awesome, hope Demolition win it. First third of the show was good, I'm awaiting the third part of the show, though.

Wrestlemania 2 Major League Wrestling (MLW) United Center Chicago (Second Third of the show, First Third is posted above) (note: all match ratings are based on a 4 star system)
Match #6: Special Attraction: Andre the Giant vs Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Nikita Breznikov) in a 1 on 2 handicap match
- This match marked the ending of Andre the Giant's temporary MLW contract.
- Andre the Giant was making his first Wrestlemania appearance while both Koloff (who last year defeated Antonino Rocca in the inter-promotional match) and Volkoff (who last year along with the Iron Sheik lost a 3 way tag elimination match against the Heart Thrashers and the Killer Bees) were making their second Wrestlemania appearances.
- Andre the Giant quickly won this match via a bearhug forcing Volkoff to tag out. But although he technically already won the match, Andre pointed to Koloff standing on the ring apron and motioned him to enter the ring. Koloff hesitated and started to jump down away toward the floor when Andre grabbed his head and flung him into the ring and demanded the match resume.
- Koloff couldn't even get in a single move of offense and lost in a couple of minutes to Andre's BIG SPLASH.
- And then, in a Wrestlemania Moment, Andre grabbed Breznikov and battered him too before also giving the manager the BIG SPLASH. *
Match #6 Winner: Andre the Giant
(Promoter's Note: I used the Andre the Giant card from Cory Olson's LOW Bootlegs)
Backstage: Savage-T and April Hunter are seen talking together in the hall when they are approached by J.D. Michaels.
Michaels: "It's Giggles and Jiggles. Savage-T, you may have taken away my women and you may have won Minor League Wrestling's Royal Rumble. But I've been assured by Evolution that you won't be among the survivors when Minor League Wrestling defeats Major League Wrestling in tonight's battle royal."
Savage-T: "Well at least I'm in the battle royal."
Savage-T and Hunter then walk away from an angry Michaels.
Match #7: Antonino Rocca vs EAWA Champion Bob Orton Sr.
- This was Rocca's second Wrestlemania (he lost to Koloff in last year's inter-promotional match) and Orton Sr.'s 1st Wrestlemania.
- Orton Sr. put up some good resistance and at one point while in the air managed to grab the ropes to force Rocca to release his ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER. But this proved to be Rocca's night. Toward the end of the match, Rocca gave Orton Sr. a flying headscissors which led to a near pinfall. But right after Orton Sr. kicked out, Rocca reapplied his ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER and this time Orton Sr. tapped out. *1/2
Match #7 Winner and new EAWA Champion: Antonino Rocca
- As Rocca stands on the turnbuckle holding his newly-won EAWA Championship above his head in triumph, the TV announcers comment that this is Rocca's first-ever title in Major League Wrestling. Also, since Race last year defeated Rogers for the MLW Championship, this now makes the Royal Rumble winners 2-0 at Wrestlemania.
Match #8: Major League Wrestling (MLW) vs Minor League Wrestling (MiLW) 30 man battle royal
- Before the bell sounded, all 15 Minor League Wrestlers lined up on one side and all 15 Major League Wrestlers lined up on the other side and then proceeded to attack each other once the bell rang.
- Although 2 of the first 3 wrestlers eliminated were MLW's Ray Stevens and Greg Valentine, 7 of the next 9 eliminations were from Minor League Wrestling as it quickly became apparent that Major League Wrestling was in control of this match.
- After Necro Butcher became the 24th man eliminated it was down to Minor League Wrestling Champion Mike Quackenbush vs 5 Major League Wrestlers- and Quackenbush almost overcame this 1 on 5 disadvantage!
- Quackenbush eliminated Tiger Mask and then Jushin Liger. As S.D. Jones then advanced upon Quackenbush, Konnan stunned everyone by trying to eliminate The Crusher. But The Crusher in self-defense threw out his fellow MLW teammate and fellow EAWA wrestler Konnan. As S.D. Jones and Quackenbush were trying to shove each other over the ropes, The Crusher advanced toward them to grab Quackenbush and throw him (and accidentally in the process Jones too) over the ropes to win the battle royal for Major League Wrestling as the only survivor. **** Match #8 Winner: The Crusher representing Major League Wrestling
Order of Eliminations 1. Ray Stevens (MLW) 2. The Destroyer (MiLW) 3. Greg Valentine (MLW) 4. Arik Cannon (MiLW) 5. Chris Hero (MiLW) 6. Claudio Castagnoli (MiLW) 7. Delirious (MiLW) 8. Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. (MLW) 9. Timber (MiLW) 10. Larry Sweeney (MiLW) 11. Giant Baba (MLW) 12. Adam Pearce (MiLW) 13. Boogie Woogie Man (MLW) 14. Savage-T (MiLW) 15. Yukon Eric (MLW) 16. Ricky Landell (MiLW) 17. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (MLW) 18. Drake Younger (MiLW) 19. Brutus Beefcake (MLW) 20. Sam Hayne (MiLW) 21. Steve Corino (MiLW) 22. Don Leo Jonathan (MLW) 23. Angelo Mosca (MLW) 24. Necro Butcher (MiLW) 25. Tiger Mask (MLW) 26. Jushin Liger (MLW) 27. Konnan (MLW) 28. S.D. Jones (MLW) 29. Mike Quackenbush (MiLW) Winner: The Crusher (MLW)
Match #9: World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors vs United States Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express (managed by Jim Cornette) in a best 2 out of 3 falls no DQ title unification match.
- This was the 2nd Wrestlemania for both teams who last year wrestled against each other and the Fabulous Kangaroos in a 3 way tag elimination match for the World Tag Team Championship won by the Midnight Express.
- The Road Warriors came out to a hero's welcome from their hometown Chicago fans.
- Before this match started, Road Warrior Hawk got on the microphone and said to make sure Jim Cornette doesn't get away in interfering in tonight's no DQ title unification bout, the Road Warriors have a guest who will be in their corner for tonight- Destina!
- First Fall: Despite Destina's presence at ringside, Cornette took advantage of this match's no DQ rule by whacking Road Warrior Animal in the face with his tennis racket. Cornette's blatant interference allowed Bobby Eaton to cover Road Warrior Animal for the pinfall as the Chicago crowd booed loudly. The Midnight Express are now up 1-0 and are only 1 fall away from ending the 10 month reign of the Road Warriors as the World Tag Team Champions.
- Although the Midnight Express won this fall, they suffered a setback in between the first and second falls as Destina, angry about Cornette's interference, gave Cornette a Gladiator Piledriver on the ringside mat leaving the Midnight Express without the services of their manager for the remainder of this match.
- Second Fall: As Cornette was taken away on a stretcher, the Road Warriors and Midnight Express proceeded to have arguably the greatest match in MLW History. This fall involved a combined total of 21 (seriously) unsuccessful near pinfalls as the fast paced action constantly changed sides between the two tag teams who continuously tagged their partners in and out of the ring. This classic finally ended when Road Warrior Animal pinned Stan Lane via the DOOMSDAY DEVICE to tie things up at 1-1 and send this match to a third and deciding fall.
Third/Final Fall: This epic of a match continued with more frequent tags and constant offensive momentum switches and concluded with Road Warrior Animal giving Lane 4 straight spike piledrivers followed by the DOOMSDAY DEVICE to win the fall and thus the match 2-1 to both retain the World Tag Team Champions and become the new and final United States Tag Team Champions. ****
As both Road Warriors hold up their 4 title belts above their head, the Chicago crowd stood up and thundered "LOD, LOD, LOD."
Match #9 Winners and and unified World Tag Team Champions: the Road Warriors
Pay Per View Weekend Promo Coming 1 weekend in May, several weeks after the Third Annual Sammartino Invitational, is Pay Per View Weekend where there will a MLW Pay Per View all weekend long! And then the next week on RAW will be the annual MLW Draft!
- After the promo is shown, the TV announcers wonder aloud- Just what is Pay Per View Weekend and how will Major League Wrestling be shaken up with its upcoming annual draft?"
Match #10: George Hackenschmidt vs MLW Champion Buddy Rogers (accompanied by manager Eddie Fyne, Johnny Valentine, and Larry Zbyszko)
- This is Hackenschmidt's 1st Wrestlemania and Rogers' 2nd Wrestlemania (he lost the MLW Championship to Harley Race at last year's Wrestlemania.)
- Rogers started off this match by seemingly toying with his former fellow Horsemen Hackenschmidt. But Rogers became irate when the referee caught Valentine and Zbyszko trying to interfere on Rogers' behalf and ordered both of the Horsemen to either go back to the locker room or he would award the match and thus the MLW Championship to Hackenschmidt by forfeit.
- Hackenschmidt was able to withstand 5 unsuccessful pin/submission attempts by Rogers before finally making a comeback. Hackenschmidt put Rogers in his RUSSIAN BEARHUG and, although Rogers wouldn't submit, refused to relinquish the hold.
- Rogers finally looked like he was about to tap out but Fyne jumped up on the apron to provide a distraction. Hackenschmidt gave Fyne a running clothesline to send him crashing to the ringside floor and then turned around and charged at Rogers by reapplying his RUSSIAN BEARHUG but this time driving Rogers all the way to the mat for a pin attempt using his typical submission finisher. Sensing a title change was about to occur, the crowd got to it s feet but Rogers miraculously got out of the pin attempt by kneeing Hackenschmidt in the groin.
- But before Rogers could try to regain the offensive, Hackenschmidt once again applied his RUSSIAN BEARHUG and this time, right in the center of the ring, Rogers tapped out.****
Match #10 Winner and new MLW Champion George Hackenschmidt
- This is Hackenschmidt's 1st-ever title in Major League Wrestling
- As Hackenschmidt then poses for the crowd with his newly-won championship, the Chicago portion of Wrestlemania 2 comes to an end.
End of the Second Third (Chicago matches). Final Third (Las Vegas matches) of Wrestlemania 2 will be posted next and includes:
- Money in the Bank: Ed 'Strangler" Lewis vs Gorgeous George vs Don Muraco vs Buff Bagwell vs Fritz Von Goering vs Mr. Canada vs EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase vs Mr. Perfect

Wrestlemania 2 Major League Wrestling (MLW) United Center Chicago (Final Third of the show, First Third and Second Third are both posted above) (note: all match ratings are based on a 4 star system)
Match #11: Money in the Bank ladder match: Ed "Strangler" Lewis vs Don Muraco (accompanied by Ladies Champion Sheri Martel) vs Gorgeous George vs Buff Bagwell vs Fritz Von Goering vs Mr. Canada (accompanied by The Mountie) vs EAWA General Manager the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase (accompanied by both King Kong Bundy and Virgil) vs Mr. Perfect
- This was the first Wrestlemania match for Lewis, George, Von Goering, and DiBiase and the second Wrestlemania match for Muraco, Bagwell, Mr. Canada, and Mr.Perfect
- This 8 man ladder match was extremely brutal to the extent that both Bagwell and Von Goering got so injured they were unable to continue before the match concluded.
- One of the highlights of the match came when Mr. Perfect and his former tag team partner Don Muraco of Magnificent Perfection, which broke up in November when Mr.Perfect got drafted to the EAWA. Mr. Perfect seemed to think that he and Muraco would team up in this match but Muraco proved Mr. Perfect wrong by giving him an Asiatic Spike and then smashing him repeatedly into the ladder which caused Mr. Perfect to start bleeding profusely.
- The match finally ended when Muraco gave Mr. Canada the HAWAIIAN HAMMER directly onto the ladder and then, as DiBiase, George, Mr. Perfect, and Lewis fought among themselves, successfully grabbed the briefcase. ****
Match #11 Winner: Don Muraco.
Match #12: Diamond Dallas Page vs Intercontinental Champion Rick Rude vs The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk)in a triple threat title match
- This match marked the 2nd Wrestlemania for DDP (who won last year's Money in the Bank ladder match) and the first Wrestlemania for both Rude and The Sheik
- This high energy match ended when The Sheik threw DDP out of the ring and then gave Rude a FIREBALL before covering him for the pinfall. As a result, The Sheik wins his first ever title here in Major League Wrestling.***
Match #12 Winner and new Intercontinental Champion: The Sheik
- This match result marks The Sheik's first championship in Major League Wrestling.
Match #13: The Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras) vs MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo) in a best 2 out of 3 falls title match
- this match marked the first Wrestlemania ring action for Brazil and marked the 2nd Wrestlemania for both Mascaras (who lost in last year's best 2 out of 3 falls RAW main event title match against Nick Bockwinkel) and the Fabulous Kangaroos (who last year lost against against both the Midnight Express- who won the match- and the Road Warriors in a tag elimination match to lose the World Tag Team Championship)
First Fall: Roy Heffernan pinned Brazil via the BOOMERANG. Fabulous Kangaroos, the defending champions, up 1-0.
Second Fall: Bobo Brazil pinned Roy Hefferan following repeated COCO BUTTS. Both teams tied at 1-1 to send it to the third and deciding fall.
Third/Final Fall: Heffernan pinned Brazil via the BOOMERANG while grabbing the ropes for extra leverage. ** 1/2
Match #13 Winners and still MLW Champions: Fabulous Kangaroos
- the Kangaroos run as MLW Tag Team Champions, which started back at Unforgiven in September, continues.
Match #14: Frank Gotch vs Rikidozan
- this was the 2nd Wrestlemania for Gotch (who last year defeated MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino) and the 1st Wrestlemania for Rikidozan.
- Gotch got revenge against Rikidozan for betraying him at No Way Out by winning via the GOTCH TOEHOLD. **
Match #14 Winner: Frank Gotch
Match #15: World Champion Jimmy Snuka vs Bruiser Brody in a steel cage match with Interim MLW Chairman Bob Backlund as special guest referee
- This match marked the 2nd Wrestlemania for both Snuka and Brody (who last year defeated former tag team partner Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in a coffin match)
- This match featured back and forth action between the two competitors until Brody gave his former tag team partner a running slam into the steel cage followed by his finishing JUMPING KNEE DROP to win the World Championship. ** 1/2
Match #15 Winner and new World Champion: Bruiser Brody
- Upon being awarded the victory, Brody proceeded to help Snuka off of the mat and the two former tag team partners proceeded to shake hands in the center of the ring inside the steel cage to the delight of the crowd as Snuka congratulated Brody on his victory.
- As a result, Wrestlemania 2 sees 4 wrestlers winning their first ever MLW championships: Brody (World Champion), Hackenschmidt (MLW Champion), Rocca (EAWA Champion), and The Sheik (Intercontinental Champion).
- As Brody proceeds to celebrate his first ever MLW championship inside the steel cage enclosed steel ring, tonight's show comes to an end.
Thank you for taking the time to check out Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) presentation of Wrestlemania 2!
