Can Ricky Romero sink any lower? For Triple A Buffalo yesterday against Durham he went:
0.2 IP, 5 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 3 BB, 1 HR
As bad as Romero is I can't believe how bad Ike Davis is doing on the Mets. Barely batting .150 with four HR's and 11 RBI's and as I type this he has struck out five consecutive times in the two games with the Yankees. How can he be that bad? And how bad are the Mets for not sending him to AAA to work out whatever his problems are?
I am a lifelong Mets fan and watching this futility by Davis is as bad as I have ever seen and that is saying something. He had the same problem the first half of last season and then turned it on finishing at .227 with over 30 HR's. Is this what we have to expect from him? How can a major league player hit so poorly for so long and still have a spot in the starting lineup?

Davis' confidence appears to be completely shot with both bat and glove. Has a player ever been sent down to the minors after having hit 30+ home runs the previous season? Surely Alderson has to send Ike to AAA Vegas soon!
