INTRO
Last time on PWIS-OHIO: Johnny Goodtime was on the receiving end of Finlay's Shillelagh for the second time as the RockNES Monsters faced Finlay and his partner David Taylor. Afterward, Goodtime demanded Commissioner Al Snow put him and Finlay in a match where weapons are legal. Mid-Western Champion Robert Anthony was in town to face OHIO's top man, Ricky Landell. Landell won the non-title bout with the help of his Extreme Horsemen teammate, Steve Corino. After the match, the rest of the Horsemen looked to gang attack Anthony but Horsemen rival 2 Cold Scorpio came to Anthony's aid. Anthony left Scorpio to take a beating from the Horsemen.
(Joe Dembrowski is calling the action)
JOE: “Fans, welcome once again to PWIS-OHIO! Mid-Western Champion Robert Anthony is back and in the main event. This time his title will be on the line as he faces Ricky Landell. And I'm sure we'll see the Extreme Horsemen involved somehow. Anthony's championship reign is in jeopardy. Commissioner Al Snow has agreed to Johnny Goodtime's request. He will meet Finlay in the ring for a Weapons Are Legal Match. Now let's go to our first contest of the evening!”
MATCH #1
Justin Credible vs. Johnny Yuma
JOE: “With his partner wrestling later, Yuma is going solo tonight as well.”
Yuma starts out with a series of quick strikes that have the Extreme Horseman backpedaling. Yuma's over-eagerness is his undoing as Justin steps out of the way of a dropkick and goes on to pummel his smaller opponent. Credible levels Johnny with a superkick and picks up the easy three count.
Winner: Justin Credible
MATCH #2
Sara Del Rey vs. Leva Bates
JOE: “Time to showcase the ladies of Empowered. Leva Bates is coming to the ring as I speak and is she cosplaying as... The Michelin Man?”
Leva outmaneuvers Del Rey's early offense and soon has her in position for the Pepsi Plunge. Sara gets her shoulder up at two. Bates keeps Del Rey off balance with a quick pace but Bates ends up taking out the ref when Sara dodges a leap from the top turnbuckle. The women continue to battle with the ref down. Leva maintains her pace until Del Rey reverses a back drop with a vicious piledriver. Sara puts her power game to work but Bates is able to evade and go on another run of offense. Sara kicks out of a few more pin attempts and Leva can't believe it. Bates shows her own resilience, even surviving Del Rey's Royal Butterfly. Time runs out and the fans give the women a big round of applause.

MATCH #3
WEAPONS ARE LEGAL
Finlay vs. Johnny Goodtime
Goodtime gets the jump on Finlay and goes for the early pin after Space Conflict from Beyond Pluto. A Top Rope Knee Drop sets up another near fall.
JOE: “It looks like Johnny Goodtime is trying to end this one before any weapons get involved.”
Finlay rallies after Goodtime misses a bicycle kick. Johnny is soon back in charge until Finlay nearly takes his head off with a lariat. With Goodtime knocked for a loop, Finlay sets him up for a shot with his Shillelagh and covers his opponent for the three count.
Winner: Finlay
Intermission: Backstage, Johnny Goodtime sits on the ground with his back to the wall nursing his sore head. Johnny Yuma kneels next to him. Finlay steps into the picture, Shillelagh gripped in one hand, David Taylor standing next to him.
FINLAY: “I hope you've learned your lesson, young man.”
YUMA: “Hey! Back off! You've done enough for one night.”
FINLAY: “I'm just making sure that we won't be having any more trouble from you lads.”
Goodtime and Yuma look at each other then back at Finlay. Goodtime nods, defeated.
FINLAY: “Good, then...”
From off camera, a Singapore Cane cracks Finlay over the back. Finlay drops to one knee as Justin Credible steps in to deliver another blow. Taylor looks to intervene but is met by a taped fist punch from Steve Corino. The Extreme Horsemen put the boots to the veterans from the U.K. They break off the attack and turn their attention on RockNES.
STEVE: “You two stay out of it unless you want some too.”
RockNES put their hands up and Yuma ushers Goodtime away. Corino turns back to the victims at his feet.
STEVE: “We carry the biggest stick in this territory, gentlemen. And we're the only ones teaching the lessons around here.”
Corino and Credible walk off leaving the Finlay and Taylor writhing on the ground.
MATCH #4
Mikey Whipwreck vs. Ethan Page
Whipwreck unloads on Page. Ethan gets the upper hand after slamming Mikey's face into a merch table. A Spinning Dwayne adds to Whipwreck’s pains but he turns it around when he uses a spectacular tornado DDT to reverse a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker by Page. Page gets a near fall with the help of Selizya Sparx lending leverage to a roll up. Mikey withstands a Headshot Cutter and a wicked superkick but comes back and scores a near fall of his own with a Whippersnapper. There is a lot of brawling outside of the ring and the ref gives them a lot of leeway. Both men are just about out on their feet when Mikey lands a standing leg drop to Page on the entrance ramp. Both men crawl back to the ring to beat the count out but Page comes up short, giving Whipwreck the victory.
Winner: Mikey Whipwreck
MATCH #5
C.W. Anderson vs. 2 Cold Scorpio
JOE: “Scorpio continues his one-man fight against the Extreme Horsemen.”
Anderson gets the first shots in but Scorpio fires back. Scorpio's educated feet stagger C.W. but a hammerlock slam slows Scorpio's roll. Anderson tries to work an arm which proved successful in their last match. Scorpio counters and gives Anderson a chair shot to the gut at ringside. Scorpio mounts the top turnbuckle, setting up a Scorpio Splash on the weakened Anderson. At that moment, Justin Credible rushes out and pushes him off the buckle. Scorpio crashes to the mat. Steve Corino joins his Horsemen and rains taped fists down on Scorpio's head. Once they are satisfied, they leave Scorpio to be helped to the back by PWIS official.
JOE: “Corino and his goons are like a pack of animals.”
Winner: 2 Cold Scorpio
Ricky Landell comes out for the main event accompanied by the rest of the Extreme Horsemen. There is an air of confidence about them entering this title match. They wait in the ring as PWIS Mid-Western Champion Robert Anthony is introduced. Anthony pauses at the top of the ramp then slowly approaches the ring. He gets the referee attention and points at the gathered Horsemen. “You think I'm getting into the ring with all of them in there? Not happening.”
The ref and the timekeeper discuss the matter and appear to be at a loss. Corino just smiles defiantly. Anthony eventually turns to head back up the ramp. The crowd is booing and the Extreme Horsemen demand that he returns. As Anthony takes a step up the ramp, Commissioner Al Snow appears through the curtain with a mic. He narrows his eyes at Anthony. “Where do you think you're going? You have a title defense to make.”
An uncertain look crosses Anthony's face as Corino starts laughing and the rest of the Horsemen grin. Landell jogs in place, ready to start the match. Snow looks out to the ring. After surveying the situation a moment, he has a word for the Horsemen. “As for you clowns, I've been hearing whining about why I haven't stepped in to deal with your activities...”
JOE: “I think Snow is talking about me.”
Al continues. “Here's what I'm going to do. Everyone but Landell is to leave the ring area. And if anyone comes within a hundred feet of that ring during the match, I guarantee none of you will ever receive a title match in this company again.”
The fans roar as Corino yells “You can't do that!”
“You have twenty seconds to clear out or Landell gets disqualified.”
The Horsemen hesitate as Corino's gears turn looking for way around this.
“Ten seconds...”
Steve slaps Anderson and Credible on the back, urging them to double time it. Anthony steps out of the way as they head up the ramp. Snow doesn't budge as they have to go around him. Corino stops a moment and glares at Snow then continues on. Anthony is now the one grinning as he approaches the ring and the lone Landell.
MAIN EVENT
PWIS MID-WESTERN CHAMPIONSHIP
Robert Anthony(c) vs. Ricky Landell
Landell goes to work right away on Anthony’s knee and has the champion limping. Robert turns things around by catching Ricky with an Ace Crusher. Landell out-grapples Anthony and resumes his attack on the knee. A couple of standing dropkicks put Anthony down and set up a Top Rope Fist Drop for a near fall. Anthony rolls out of the ring to recover but Landell is waiting with a Fisherman’s Buster upon his return that gets a two count. Landell presses the advantage and he really has the champion in trouble. Landell makes a mistake, missing a jump from the top rope. Anthony capitalizes with a Vertibreaker for a near fall. Anthony puts together some offense but Landell reasserts and tries working on the knee some more. Anthony reverses into an Ace Crusher again and follows with Taco Pizza for the come-from-behind win. A frustrated Landell can’t believe he let this one slip through his fingers. Anthony limps up the ramp and, at the top, turns back to the crowd and raises the belt overhead.
