It is now time for the start of Glory by Vegas!
Ring of Vegas (ROV) Show #17: Glory by Vegas October 5th, Year One Sam's Town Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show)
Preshow Match: Pinky defeated Nick Madrid
- a great Preshow match which ended with Pinky winning via INFINITE SORROW
Preshow match: Matt Taven defeated Terex
- Taven got the victory by running outside of the ring and Terex followed him. Taven then ran around the ring and reentered and when Terex reentered the ring he was met by an awaiting Taven who immediately hit him with his ARMTRAP HEADLOCK DRIVER and then placed his feet on the ropes for extra leverage as the referee made the 3 count for the win
Match #1: Sleazy Goodtime defeated PPrAy (accompanied bu Johnny Yuma)
- wearing crutches as a result of being attacked by Sleazy Goodtime 2 weeks ago on ROV TV, Yuma accompanied former enemies PPrAy to the ring against current enemies Johnny Goodtime and Joey Ryan
- in their first match together, Sleazy Goodtime got the victory when Joey gave Ray Rosas a MUSTACHE RIDE
Match #2: ACH defeated James "Main Event" Morgan
- a good grudge match with evenly traded offense but won by ACH via a spinning cloverleaf
Match #3: Mikey O'Shea (accompanied by Percy Pringle III) defeated Ryan Taylor
- Mikey got the win after two consecutive IRISH CAR BOMBS
Match #4: Homicide defeated Michael Elgin (accompanied by Truth Martini and the Hoopla Hotties)
- Homicide, who also has a contract with Combat Vegas Wrestling (CVW,) won this grudge match after getting away with attacking Elgin with a fork
Match #5: Natural Selection (accompanied by Percy Pringle III and Mikey O'Shea) defeated Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team, Los Banditos, and Hobo and Manimal in a 4 way tag elimination #1 contender's match
- First Elimination: Los Banditos took advantage of the fact that Charlie Haas had his back turned toward them while all the other wrestlers in this match were standing outside of the ring and on the apron. Tito Escondido thus grabbed a surprised Haas from behind to start the match. Through a combination of double team tag moves and quick tags, Los Banditos kept Haas on the defensive and proceeded to put him away by making him tap out to the RICO DEATH GRIP. As a result, although Shelton Benjamin protested to the referee that they were not ready to start the match, Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team is the first tag team eliminated.
- Second Elimination: this elimination occurred when the Young Bucks, irate at being denied participation in this match due to being upset by Hobo and Manimal earlier this week on ROV TV, suddenly appeared and distracted Hobo who was then hit with BANDITO BADLANDS and pinned by Tito to mark the elimination of Hobo and Manimal
- Third/Final Elimination: Despite causing the first two eliminations of this match, Los Banditos lost this match when Shaun Ricker forced Rico to tap out to a Boston Crab
- as a result, Natural Selection (Ricker and Brian Cage)- who previously defeated the ROV Tag Team Champions the Brisoces in a non-title match back in July at Planet Hollywood and then gave the Briscoes a tough challenge to overcome at Boiling Point back in August- get another shot at the ROV Tag Team Championship at the currently unnamed ROV show in November!
Intermission/End of First Half. Second Half posted next.

Ring of Vegas (ROV) Show #17: Glory by Vegas October 5th, Year One Sam's Town Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of show, First Half is posted above)
Match #6: Adam Cole defeated ROV TV Champion Adam Pearce (accompanied by Truth Martini) and Kyle O'Reilly
- At one point it appeared Pearce had this match won when he gave Cole a JUMPING PILEDRIVER. But then Pearce noticed Martini holding down Kyle to prevent him from making the pin save and angrily ordered Truth to the back as Pearce apparently did not want to win the match like that. This allowed Cole a chance to recover and he proceeded a few minutes later to win the match when he gave Kyle the FLORIDA KEY and Pearce was just barely late in making the save to continue the match.
- As a result, Cole- who has wrestled very few singles matches in ROV- is the new ROV TV Champion!
- Afterward, Pearce shook hands with Cole and congratulated him on the victory and Kyle, after visibly hesitating at first, also shook hands with his Future Shock tag team partner to congratulate him on winning the ROV TV Championship.
Match #7: American Wolves defeated Kevin Steen and El Generico
- An awesome match that lived up to its hype, the Wolves won when Davey Richards made Generico tap out to his ANKLE LOCK.
Match #8: ROV Tag Team Champions the Briscoes defeated the Tribe 2-1.
- First Fall: Briscoes DQd when Mark Briscoe hit Navajo Warrior with a steel chair before Navajo Warrior could use his leather strap on him when the action spilled outside of the ring. The Tribe led 1-0 and just needed to win one more fall to become the new ROV Tag Team Champions- but the second/decisive winning fall for them would have to be via pinfall or submission to win the ROV Tag Team Championship.
- Second Fall: The best fall of an overall awesome match saw the Tribe and Briscoes do plenty of damage to each other but the Briscoes (who survived a total of 13 pin/submission attempts during this fall) managed to get the victory when Jay Briscoe pinned Hawaiian Lion via a SPIKE JAY DRILLER.
- Third/Final Fall: Both tag teams again overall traded an even amount of offensive damage against each other but again the Briscoes prevailed this time when Mark Briscoe pinned Hawaiian Lion via a brutal suplex.
- As a result, the Briscoes win the match 2 falls to 1 fall and retain the ROV Tag Team Championship which (based on the first half results of Glory by Vegas) they will defend against Natural Selection at the untitled November show.
- Afterward, the Briscoes thanked the Tribe for giving them a serious challenge tonight and predict that the Tribe (who have actually already held both the Campeonatos de Parejas in Lachikaras Vegas and the CVW Tag Team Championship in Combat Vegas Wrestling) will one day indeed be the ROV Tag Team Champions.
Match #9: ROV Champion Roderick Strong (accompanied by Truth Martini, Michael Elgin, and Hoopla Hotties Jessie McKay and Courtney Rush) defeated Willie Mack, Scorpio Sky, and 2 Cold Scorpio in a non-title Defy or Deny match
- this was a Defy or Deny match of Roderick again wrestling 3 wrestlers he has recently defeated with the stipulation that if one of the other 3 wrestlers won the match then they would receive another title shot but if Roderick won the match then Willie, Sky, or 2 Cold could all never again challenge for the ROV Championship during Roderick's current reign.
- Roderick pinned 2 Cold via a jumping knee strike/rolling elbow
- Sky pinned Willie via an ACE CRUSHER
- Roderick made Sky tap out to the STRONG HOLD
- Afterward, Roderick gloated that now Willie, Sky, and 2 Cold will not be the one to defeat him for the ROV Championship but in fact nobody will ever defeat him for the ROV Championship when suddenly the lights went out. While it was dark, some fans yelled out Adam Pearce's name realizing that Pearce can now challenge for the ROV Championship after losing the ROV TV championship earlier tonight and Pearce has clearly been having issues lately with Truth. But when the lights came on, it was not Adam Pearce standing in the ring- instead it was Rob Van Dam!
- RVD hit a shocked Roderick with a Northern Lights suplex and then hit a charging Elgin with a roundhouse kick to head as Truth and the Hoopla Hotties fled the ring. As the House of Truth scrambled toward the back, RVD picked up the microphone to announce he has signed a deal with Ring of Vegas and his ROV debut match will be at next month's November show called RVD in ROV where he will take on ROV Champion Roderick Strong!
{Promoter's Note: I will be using the RVD color card in Ring of Vegas}
As the crowd chants for RVD, Glory by Vegas comes to an end.
End of Show.

Glory by Vegas more than lived up to the hype. Great show, Vegas. Roderick Strong continues his dominant run on top but now faces a serious threat in Rob Van Dam! I have been thinking of adding the color RVD to my ROH fed and will probably do it once I get the card. I was thinking that the American Wolves vs. Steen & Generico could be a show stealer and it looks like it was. I would like to see the Wolves challenge the Briscoes for tag team gold, or Natural Selection should they take the gold in November. Kudos to The Tribe for their strong showing in the tag title match.
It was nice to see Adam Cole win the ROV TV title but how will Kyle O'Reilly react to that? Also what will be the next move for Adam Pearce? Lots of questions I know but I'm looking forward to what is next in ROV.

Lots of questions I know but I'm looking forward to what is next in ROV. I agree on Cole over Pearce, it is a huge victory and I can't wait to see what's next from Pearce. It was a shame Nick Madrid lost his match...

Ring of Vegas (ROV) ROV TV Episode #39 October 7th, Year One Las Vegas, NV
In the Ring: Per ROV tradition of whenever a championship changes hands on the previous show the next episode of ROV TV starts with introducing the new champion, Nigel introduces Adam Cole who 2 days ago at Glory by Vegas won the ROV TV Championship from Adam Pearce in a triple threat match that also included Cole's tag team partner Kyle O'Reilly.
- Cole appears with the ROV TV Championship around his waist and Kyle at his side
- Cole says he will defend the ROV TV championship with honor when Kyle (who suffered the pinfall loss to Cole at Glory by Vegas) asks Cole if he can have a shot at Cole's ROV TV Championship. Cole hesitates before saying he is leaving that decision up to Nigel who responds that he will make his decision later tonight on ROV TV on Cole's 1st challenger. Kyle does not look too pleased at this news.
Backstage: Truth Martini, Adam Pearce, and Michael Elgin are seen watching on TV Nigel talking to Cole and Kyle in the ring. Truth tells Pearce not to worry, especially since he was not even the one to get pinned in that triple threat match to cost him his ROV TV Championship, and he is already working on getting Pearce a rematch. But in the meantime, Truth says he secured a match of Pearce and Elgin vs Future Shock next week on ROV TV so Pearce can send a message to Cole that the ROV TV Championship is around the waist of the wrong Adam. Pearce responds that he will wrestle that tag match but, instead of regaining the ROV TV Championship for a 3rd time, he now wants to focus on getting a shot at the ROV Championship. A worried Truth again reminds Pearce that fellow House of Truth member Roderick Strong currently holds the ROV Championship but Pearce points out that Future Shock proved this past weekend at Glory by Vegas that wrestlers who normally wrestle alongside each other can wrestle each other for the gold and remain friends and then leaves Truth with a major look of concern on his face.
Match #1: Hobo (accompanied by Manimal) defeated Matt Jackson (accompanied by Nick Jackson)
- Hobo, who along with Manimal upset the Young Bucks in a tag team match last week on ROV TV, again confounded the Bucks when he won this match via STREET PREACHER. Once again the Bucks react with shock and anger as Manimal congratulates Hobo as the two leave for the back while the Bucks throw a tantrum in protest.
Backstage: 2 Cold Scorpio approaches Nigel and says with Rob Van Dam- who made his shocking ROV debut at Glory by Vegas 2 days ago- now in ROV he wants a match against him since the two used to wrestle together for an extreme style fed back East. Nigel says that will not be a problem but it will not happen until at least November because RVD's first ROV match is against ROH Champion Roderick Strong at RVD in ROV next month.
Match #2: Los Banditos vs Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team ended in a no decison
- Los Banditos were in the ring when they were attacked before the bell by WGTT- apparnetly still uspet how at Glory by Vegas the Banditos took advantage of Charlie Haas not payng attention at the start of the 4 way tag elimination #1 contender's match which led to an unprepared Haas quickly tapping out to the RICO DEATH GRIP and WGTT being denyed a chance to challenge for the ROV Tag Team Championship at RVD in ROV. The referee was not able to restore order to actually start the match as WGTT and Los Banditos brawled with each other all the way to the back without the bell ringing to ever start the match as it appears a new feud has emerged in ROV.
Backstage: Truth Martini is talking to Sleazy Goodtime (Joey Ryan and Johnny Goodtime)
- Truth tells sleazy Goodtime he was impressed with their victory over PPrAy this past weekend at Glory by Vegas and offers them membership in the House of Truth which is looking to add a full time tag team to compete in the tag division. At first, Joey Ryan says they will have to think about it but then the Hoopla Hotties walk by and Hoopla Hottie Jessie McKay asks if Johnny Goodtime wants to have a goodtime helping her take her pants off and Hoopla Hottie Courtney Rush says Joey Ryan can give her a MUSTACHE RIDE any time. Joey Ryan then tells Truth that he and Goodtime have decided to join the House of Truth.
Match #3: ACH defeated Pinky
- ACH won via his BIG BANG ATTACK as his impressive winning streak as a newcomer continues.
Backstage: Willie Mack is approached by Scorpio Sky
- Sky tells Willie that, while they (along with 2 Cold) can no longer challenge for the ROV Championship during Roderick's current reign since they both lost to Roderick in that Deny or Deny match two days ago at Glory by Vegas, they can at least still challenge for the ROV TV Championship and Nigel has made a match between them for next week on ROV TV with the winner challenging Cole for the ROV TV Championship at RVD in ROV!
Show #18: RVD in ROV Saturday November 2, Year One 1. ROV Champion Roderick Strong vs Rob Van Dam (non-title) 2. ROV Tag Team Champions the Briscoes vs Natural Selection 3. more matches TBA
Show #19: Last Vegas (an IPPV) final ROV show of the year! Saturday December 14, Year One matches TBA
In the Ring: Natural Selection with Mikey O'Shea and Percy Pringle III
- before the start of tonight's big 6 man tag main event, Percy introduces Natural Selection as the upcoming ROV Tag Team Champions after their match against the Briscoes next month at RVD in ROV!
Match #4: Natural Selection and Mikey O'Shea (all managed by Percy Pringle III) defeated the Tribe and Terex
- the Tribe did some damage early but Natural Selection and O'Shea got the victory when Shaun Ricker gave Hawaiian Lion 2 consecutive D.T.B.s and then got away with putting his feet on the ropes for good measure as the referee made the 3 count.
- as Natural Selection and Mikey get their hands raised in victory, the TV announcers comment that this was a big win tonight for Natural Selection and wonder aloud if they can be the team to unseat the Briscoes as ROV Tag Team Champions at RVD in ROV?
End of Show.

I really enjoyed epside 39 of ROV TV, Vegas. I like the tension between Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly along with Adam Pearce and Truth Martini, just classic. I'm hoping to see Pearce vs. Strong upcoming but first we get RVD against the champion in a non-title match at RVD in ROV (great ppv name). Sleazy Goodtime joining the House of Truth was classic as well since it wouldn't take long for Joey Ryan to say yes to that. I'm also enjoying the the rivalries between Hobo & Manimal and the Young Bucks and Los Banditos and WGTT.
My picks for episode 40 of ROV TV:
Nick Jackson American Wolves Pearce & Elgin Willie Mack

Thanks cruefan68! Those tag rivalries were given to me by the dice but I am liking them.
Ring of Vegas (ROV) ROV TV Episode #40 October 14th, Year One Las Vegas, NV
In the Ring: Rob Van Dam
- RVD, set to make his ROV wrestling debut next month against ROV Champion Roderick Strong at RVD in ROV, formally introduces himself to the ROV fans. RVD says Roderick knows he (RVD) can defeat him (Roderick) because a few years ago in Los Angeles for another fed RVD defeated both Roderick and Chris Hero (who has since signed with VWE) in a triple threat match with RVD scoring the pinfall victory against Roderick himself and history will repeat itself at RVD in ROV. This leads to repeated chants of "RVD!, RVD!, RVD!" from the fans in attendance who clearly want to see RVD victorious over the current ROV Champion Roderick Strong at RVD in ROV.
{Promoter's Note: the RVD/Hero/Roderick match referenced above was the main event at the first Kurt Russellreunion which was the PWG show at Wrestle Reunion 4 at LAX in 2010.}
Match #1: Nick Jackson (accompanied by Matt Jackson) defeated Manimal (accompanied by Hobo)
- the Bucks finally scored a victory over Hobo and Manimal when Nick pinned Manimal via a 450 SPLASH
- afterward, Matt grabbed Manimal's bone off of the turnbuckle and pretended to use it as a guitar and then to the dismay of Manimal the Bucks walked off with his bone.
Backstage: Truth Martini tells Roderick to ignore RVD's taunts from earlier tonight as RVD is just trying to play mind games and Truth says he managed to secure a non-title stipulation anyways for their match at RVD in ROV since RVD has yet to wrestle in ROV.
Match #2: American Wolves defeated C&C Wrestle Factory
- Wolves got another victory when Davey Richards put away Caprice Coleman with a cloverleaf.
- afterward, the Wolves said due to their victory over Kevin Steen and El Generico 2 weekends ago at Glory by Vegas they want the next available shot at the ROV Tag Team Championship at Last Vegas in December. Steen and Generico arrive and say although they lost to the Wolves at Glory by Vegas a tag title shot was never stipulated and they want their own shot at the ROV Tag Team Championship and challenge the Wolves to a rematch at RVD in ROV with the winner getting the tag title shot at Last Vegas. ROV matchmaker Nigel McGuinness then arrived and agreed to this rematch but said the stakes need to be raised and literally "raised" as he is making this rematch of the American Wolves vs Kevin Steen and El Generico at RVD in ROV the first ever ladder match in ROV History and the winning tag team will challenge either the Briscoes or Natural Selection (depending on who wins the ROV Tag Team Championship match at RVD in ROV) at Last Vegas!
Backstage: RVD is talking to friend and longtime coworker 2 Cold Scorpio when Nigel (returning from just talking to the Wolves and Steen/Generico) walks by to tell 2 Cold he has a non-title match vs ROV Champion Roderick Strong next week on ROV TV and RVD says he will be in 2 Cold's corner for that match.
On Tap with James Morgan: the guests are Percy Pringle III, Natural Selection, and Mikey O'Shea
- Morgan points out that Natural Selection at RVD in ROV becomes the first tag team to get a second title shot against the ROV Tag Team Champions the Briscoes and asks Percy how this might impact the outcome of their title match at RVD in ROV. Percy replied that from watching footage of their previous matchup at Boiling Point back in August he has discovered a weakness that Shaun Ricker and Brian Cage can use against the Briscoes and he also challenges the Briscoes to an elimination match against Natural selection on ROV TV prior to their tag match at RVD in ROV.
Backstage: Future Shock is getting ready for their match against Adam Pearce and Michael Elgin. Kyle O'Reilly tells ROV TV Champion Adam Cole that he is disappointed that Cole did not agree to his request for a title match at RVD in ROV but says he will still be in Cole's corner against either Willie Mack or Scorpio Sky (depending on the outcome of tonight's main event.)
Match #3: Future Shock defeated Adam Pearce and Michael Elgin (both accompanied by Truth Martini and the Hoopla Hotties)
- During this match, Pearce (who has had recent problems with his fellow House of Truth members) accidentally got smashed on the head with the Book of Truth from Martini who was aiming for Cole. Pearce then left the ring to yell at Martini leaving Elgin in a 1 vs 2 handicap position against Future Shock who won the match when Cole pinned Elgin via a FLYING CROSSBODY. As the match is awarded to Future Shock, Pearce tells Martini "I quit the House of Truth!" and walks off alone.
Show #18: RVD in ROV Saturday November 2, Year One 1. ROV Champion Roderick Strong vs Rob Van Dam (non-title) 2. ROV Tag Team Champions the Briscoes vs Natural Selection 3. American Wolves vs Kevin Steen and El Generico (ladder match- winner gets ROV Tag Team Championship match at Last Vegas) 4. more matches TBA
Show #19: Last Vegas (an IPPV) final ROV show of the year! Saturday December 14, Year One matches TBA
Match #4: Scorpio Sky defeated Willie Mack in a ROV TV Championship #1 contender's match
- a great match which ended with Sky getting the victory via ACE OF SPADES
- as a result, Scorpio Sky will challenge Adam Cole for the ROV TV Championship at RVD in ROV
- afterward, Willie shook hands with Sky and wished him luck against Cole at RVD in ROV.
End of Show
