ROH presents Supercard of Honor April 6, 2013 Frontier Fieldhouse, Chicago Ridge IL
Cheerleader Melissa vs Saraya Knight The Women kicked off the show and they did not disappoint. The start of the match was like a feeling out process that took way too long, but finally they kicked things into second gear and got the crowd back into it. Knight was then all over Melissa and didnt let go of that momentum finally getting the submission with a BRIDLED ROCKING HORSE.
Michael Elgin vs Colt Cabana The main story behind this match was that if Elgin lost then he was out of the House of Truth. Going in Elgin did everything he could to stomp Colt down and get the win. Colt managed to get his comeback together and hit Elgin with a nice Superman Sequence and went for the pin. Truth Martini wasnt having any of that and pulled the ref out of the ring before the three, however the ref was in no mood to mess with Truth and called for the bell DQing Elgin in the process.
Colt left the ring not exactly happy with the win but it was a win non the less. Elgin was fuming inside the ring and Truth grabbed a mic as he got into the ring.
TM: "What was that Elgin? You see both Roderick and myself told you that you needed to win, but once again you dropped the ball!"
ME: "I didnt drop any ball! You pulled the ref out of the ring not me! You got me Disqualified, I didnt DQ myself! Martini this is all your fault!"
TM: "Now, now, take it easy Elgin, everything will be fine, Roderick and I are willing to give you another chance, but first you need to meet the NEW enforcer of the House of Truth!"
Unbeknownest to Elgin Rhino had snuck into the ring and when Truth said what he said Elgin turned around and was met with a vicious GORE! TM: "Meet your replacement Elgin, RHINO! Elgin your services to the HOT are no longer required, have a nice night HAHAHAHAHA!"
SCUM vs Origin Being the first time they have teamed together Danielson and Castagnoli were looking to make a mark against Jacobs and Corino, but it was the other way around. Claudio started things off against Jacobs and used his power to throw Jacobs around the ring. Then Corino tagged in and things changed a little bit. They went back and forth for a bit before Corino threw Claudio out of the ring and followed him out. Steve perhaps sensing that there was no way to win grabbed a chair and nailed Claudio right between the eyes with it drawing the automatic DQ.
ROH World TV Title Match Ethan Page vs Rhett Titus(c) Page came into this match having won the Top Prospect Tournament and was looking to unseat Titus as TV Champion, but it was more or less a squash for Titus. Early in the match Titus tossed Page outside and then nailed him with a tope suicida that hurt both men. Finally getting back into the ring it was all Titus who never let up then finally ended things with a MUFF DRIVER to retain his TV Title.
The music of Mike Bennett hit and he came out with Maria and Brutal Bob to a somewhat mixed reaction. They all got in the ring and before speaking Bennett and Maria had a little make out session.
MB: "Well as you all know I have been on a bit of a losing streak, but I aim to fix that tonight! I am one of the best in this company and I refuse to be treated like a second class nasty citizen. That is why with the lovely and very sexy Maria, along with the best trainer in the world Brutal Bob by my side, we have decided to throw down and open challange to any joker in the back who thinks they can beat me. I dont care who you are, I know that I can beat you so get out here!"
Then the music of El Generico hit and he raced down to the ring! This match was on!
Mike Bennett vs El Generico Poor Mike Bennett just cant catch a break. He will probably complain that he was unprepared for Generico but that is what open challanges are all about. Bennett did try his hardest but it just wasnt good enough. Generico went on the attack and even hit a SPIKE BRAINBUSTER that Bennett just managed to kick out of. Not to be detered Generico threw Bennett into the corner and just about kicked his head off with a Yakuza Kick that did keep Bennett down for the 3 and continuing the losing streak of Mike Bennett.
ROH World Tag Team Title Match The Dojo Bros vs The Briscoes(c) Wow was this a wild match! Both teams were all over the place each trying to get the win. Eventually Mark took over on Adam Cole and just beat him into the ground. Somehow Cole survived and even kicked out of a DOOMSDAY DEVICE to crawl his way over to tag in Eddie who went on his own tear. When Jay tagged in it was much of the same then Jay got the momentum over Edwards and didnt let up. Finally Cole tagged back in along with Mark and this is when things went bad. Cole threw Mark into the ropes and tried a sunset flip on Mark but Mark fell down and cradled Coles legs and got the surprise 3 count before Eddie even had time to react. The Briscoes again retain their titles while the Dojo Bros leave empty handed.
Fight without Honor Match CM Punk w/Colt Cabana vs Roderick Strong w/Truth Martini and Rhino Naturally this match did not disappoint. Both Strong and Punk took it too each other. They hit each other with chairs rammed each other into ringposts, Strong even suplexed Punk onto a ladder slightly injuring him in the process. Still Punk would not give up. Punk just managed to hit Strong with a PEPSI PLUNGE but Martini was there to pull the ref out of the ring. Colt had enough of that however and chased Truth around the ring before Colt was dispatched by a surprise GORE from Rhino. Back in the ring Strong hit Punk with SICK KICK after SICK KICK but Punk would not go down. Frustrated Strong locked in a STRONG HOLD but Punk would not tap. In the end Strong had enough and hit Punk with an End of Heartache to finally put Punk down for the count.
Thank you for joining us tonight live and on IPPV, we will have all the fallout from tonight next week on ROH TV!

The music of the House hits and out swaggers Roderick Strong and Truth Martini. They are all smiles as Truth gets the mic and hands it to Roddy.
RS: "I said it was going to be done and it is done! Punk I said that there was no way you were going to beat me in a Fight Without Honor and you didnt, therefore losing any chance you had of ever getting a shot at MY World Title EVER AGAIN! Now Punk you go to the back of the line, where you will stay because as long as I am ROH World Champion, and that will be a very long time, you will never get another shot at me!"
Just then the music of Nigel McGuinness hits and out comes the Head Match Maker.
NM: "Not so fast there Roderick. Now it is true that a Fight Without Honor is just that, and that there are no disqualifications so anything goes and anybody can interfer, which Truth so blantly did. But that still does not excuse what happened, plus I have it on good authority that in that contract both you and Punk signed, that there was no clause stating if Punk lost he would never get another shot at you as long as you were champion. Therefore, starting next week CM Punk will have a series of matches OF MY choosing this time, and should he win all those matches he will be granted another rematch for the ROH World Heavyweight Title!"
RS: "You cant do this to me Nigel! I have already beaten Punk twice! There is no way he is getting another shot at me EVER!"
NM: "That is where you are wrong Roddy! You see I make the matches around here NOT you, so if I say Punk gets a chance at you again then that is final! Now before you get your shorts in a knot, I do have some news for you. Upcoming at Border Wars you will be defending the ROH World Title, but not against Punk....."
RS: "Thank you! Finally you see my side of things."
NM: "You did not let me finish. I have brought somebody in that I feel will be a real asset to Ring of Honor and he too will have a tune up match."
RS: "Who is it Nigel, I want to know who my opponent is?"
NM: "At Border Wars for the ROH World Heavyweight Title you will be facing...ROB VAN DAM!"
The crowd went nuts at this announcement while Strong and Martini were fuming inside the ring. Nigel went to leave the ring and as he was about to step through the ropes Strong went on the attack. He battered Nigel around the ring before hitting a Death by Roderick and leaving Nigel laying. Strong was happy with himself as he left the ring and officials ran down to help Nigel up. Nigel managed to get a mic and talk to Strong as he left.
NM: "Ok you wanker, if that is how you want to play it, you will have 2 matches at Border Wars! Your first match will not be a title match lucky for you, and I hope you will be in a good condition to fight RVD for the title because you will be going one on one with...ME! Chew on that for a bit!"
2 Cold Scorpio vs Steve Corino Corino took control at the start of the match and just pounded away on Scorpio. Scorpio was getting very little offense in and with Corino pulling objects out of his tights and nailing Scorpio with them behind the refs back it was almost a forgone conclusion that Corino was going to win but Scorpio would not stay down and battled back. Finally knocking Corino loopy enough Scorpio climbed the ropes and hit a perfect SCORPIO SPLASH to get the three on Steve Corino.
Delirious vs Kevin Steen This match appeared to be all Steen. Delirious had no answer for anything Steen threw at him in the beginnings of the match. Delirious did manage to kick out of 2 F-CINQs and got back into match long enough to hit a PRAYING MANTIS BOMB but Steen got out of that. Then Steen threw Delirious outside and went on the attack. Finding a chair and ignoring the ref Steen blasted Delirious over the head getting the automatic DQ.
Michael Elgin vs Jimmy Jacobs This was a rather short match. Elgin started off in control and the fans were behind him for the first time ever. It didnt take long for Jacobs to get the momentum and used it to his advantage. Soon the ref was distracted by Corino who had come down to the ring and Jacobs hit Elgin right between the eyes with his RAILROAD SPIKE and got the three.
The Young Bucks vs The Second City Saints Punk was still hurting from his match with Strong last week so he saw very little action, and Colt took over most of the match. It started off pretty back and forth with Colt getting the better of Matt before Nick was finally tagged in and then it was back and forth again. Punk tagged in and took over. He pounded Nick into the ground before finally hitting a slingshot senton to keep Nick down for the count.

Ethan Page vs Rhino Wow, this match went on longer than it had any right to be. Both men just kept going frustrating each other at every turn. Page was almost disqualified a couple of times but the ref seemed content to let them go. Page almost had Rhino beat at one point but of course Truth Martini stuck his nose into things and pulled the ref out of the ring. Finally Rhino had enough playing around and went on a tear but made one critical mistake and Page took advantage with a HEADSHOT CUTTER to put the enforcer down.
Regeneration X vs The Canadian Ninjas Well this match was rather quick. Allison Danger and Portia Perez started out and Portia got control quick but in her haste threw Allison into the ropes and tried a sunset flip. Allison simply grabbed Portia's legs and rolled her up into a pin for the surprise 3.
Samoa Joe vs Davey Richards As you would expect from these two it was a hard hitting very stiff match. Both men laid it all on the line and no punches were pulled. Joe got Davey locked into the READ NAKED CHOKE early but Davey survived and managed to escape. Then Joe threw Davey outside where Joe decided to powerbomb Davey through the announce table drawing the DQ in the process.
Tommaso Ciampa vs CM Punk This was match number 1 in Punk's bid for one more title shot. He did not disappoint against Ciampa. Things were a bit rough at the start as Ciampa seemed to be toying with Punk but eventually Punk got back on track and took it to Ciampa, finally dragging him over to the corner and got him up for a PEPSI PLUNGE to advance to next week.
We will see you all next week, thank you for joining us!

ROH TV #16 April 27, 2013 Amsoil Arena, Duluth MN
Women of Honor Sara Del Rey vs Athena This was a great opening match! Athena never backed down and even took it to Del Rey for a while until Sara kicked it into gear and never let up on Athena. One ROYAL BUTTERFLY later Del Rey got the victory.
Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs SCUM Wow now this was fast. Shelton was in no mood to play around and hit Corino from the opening bell and stayed on him. A superkick knocked Steve for a loop and Shelton followed up with PAYDIRT for the quick win. Jimmy didnt have time to react and attempt a pin save either, much to the annoyance of Corino when he woke up.
Eddie Edwards vs CM Punk In match number 2 for Punk he put his title shot on the line against Eddie Edwards, and they did not disappoint. It was back and forth for a little while then Punk got total control and went on a tear. Edwards did manage to kick out of one PEPSI PLUNGE but was too tired from a later brawl on the outside with Punk that he was easy pickings for a second PEPSI PLUNGE that brings Punk one step closer to another match with Roderick Strong.
Bryan Danielson vs Roderick Strong w/ Truth Martini What a main event these two put on! Strong had control for most of the match but Dragon made a comeback and almost had Strong put way with a couple TRIANGLE CHOKES and CATTLE MUTILATION but Strong fought back. Finally Danielson had Strong worn down enough that he was trapped in another TRIANGLE CHOKE but Strong managed to flip over and get Bryan in a pinning predicament that he could not kick out of giving Strong the win.

We are one week away from Border Wars and it is shaping up to be a great card, so lets not waste anymore time and head to the ring!
Proving Grounds Match Adam Cole vs Rhett Titus Adam Cole came into this match looking for a win and a future TV Title shot. Titus did everything he could to prevent that from happening. When the bell rang Titus was all over Adam Cole like white on rice. Cole made a small comeback but it did not last long and after an inverted overdrive Adam Cole's dream of a title shot went up in smoke.
As Titus was celebrating his victory the Briscoes music hit and Mark Briscoe came out to the ring. He got the mic and said that he and his brother had no plans for Border Wars and the chicken coop back on the farm was all cleaned out. Mark got to his point by saying that he wanted the next title shot against Rhett Titus at Border Wars! Titus took the mic and said that his calendar was wide open for Border Wars seeing as he just beat Adam Cole and would gladly accept the challange.
Tommaso Ciampa vs Mike Mondo As usual Ciampa was in no mood to mess around and just bullied Mondo around the ring. Mondo being No Fear fought back and managed to get Ciampa outside the ring where he knocked the guy out with a NO FEAR DDT that caused Ciampa to not be able to answer the 20 count giving Mondo the win.
The music of Michael Elgin hit and he came out to the ring.
ME: "You know I am not usually one to come out and talk but tonight is a different story. I have stewed about this for awhile and now I am ready. Rhino, you attacked me back at Supercard of Honor and it is time I got my payback! Nigel I want you to make the match for Border Wars! Elgin vs Rhino, in a whatever kind of match you come up with I dont care!"
El Generico vs Rob Van Dam This was a good if not quick match. RVD had Generico on the ropes for a minute when Generico took over and in quick fashion planted RVD with a SPIKE BRAINBUSTER to get the win. What kind of impact will this have on the World Title match at Border Wars? You will have to tune in to find out!
Jay Lethal vs CM Punk This was Punks final match to determine if he would get one more shot at Strong, both men put on a show. Lethal took control for a good portion of the match but just let Punk have it. A LETHAL INJECTION looked to score the win for Jay but Punk kicked out. Not even a Lethal Combination could keep Punk down. Frustrated Lethal threw Punk into the corner and charged. But Punk was ready for him and moved at the last second allowing Lethal to hit the buckles hard chest first and Punk rolled Lethal up and got the three. CM Punk has again defied the odds and gotten his rematch with Strong!
Thank you for joining us tonight we will see you all next week for Border Wars!
