ROH presents BORDER WARS May 11, 2013 Ted Reeve Arena, Toronto, Ontario
Ethan Page vs Mike Bennett w/ Brutal Bob and Maria What an opening contest! Mike Bennett looked to get back on the winning track while the resident canadian in Page was looking to keep Bennett on a losing streak. As it turned out Bennett was just a bit better. He hammered Page from the beginning, and when Page tried a comeback Brutal Bob was right there to knock Page upside the head behind the refs back and give Bennett the upper hand for the remainder of the match. Then it was only a matter of time and a BOX OFFICE SMASH put Page down and Mike Bennett is finally on the winning side of things.
Nigel McGuinness vs Roderick Strong w/ Truth Martini Holy cow did these guys get the crowd into this match! It was fast and furious all the way with neither man giving an inch. Strong thought he had Nigel beat with a couple of SICK KICKS but Nigel kicked out. McGuinness then went on the offensive and tried to put Strong down but it was not going to happen. Finally Strong got the advantage back and took out Nigels' leg which allowed him to cinch in a STRONG HOLD that Nigel had no escape for and after fighting it finally had to tap out. Victory number one goes to Roderick Strong, can he keep it going against RVD?
The Canadian Ninjas vs Mseerie Naturally this ladies did not disappoint either. Both teams put on a great match. There was plenty of back and forth action with Mschif domination the smaller Portia Perez for a time before she managed to get a tag to Nicole Matthews. Even CVE got in on the action but then the Ninjas took over and isolated Mschif in their corner only to hit her with two FUNKY COLD MEDINAS in order to get the 3 count.
Michael Elgin vs Rhino w/ Truth Martini Elgin tried to get a measure of revenge on Rhino but tonight was not his night. It was power vs power in this match and the power of Rhino was just too much for Elgin. No matter what Elgin did Rhino stopped him short then went on a tear and nearly broke Elgin in half with a mighty GORE to send the hometown boy packing.
El Generico vs Kevin Steen Steen and Generico know each other so well that they both had counters for the others moves, but then Generico made a mistake and Steen took advantage battering Generico around the ring with no hope for Generico to make any sort of comeback. Steen eventually got tired of playing around and scooped Generico up for a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER to score the victory.
ROH World TV Title Match Mark Briscoe vs Rhett Titus(c) Now this was a way for the title! Titus had control for most of the match and looked to have Mark put away a few times with MUFF DRIVER after MUFF DRIVER but Mark would not quit. Then Mark took over and went on a tear but just could not keep Titus down. Then Titus ducked under some Red Neck Kung-Fu and nailed a Thrust Buster to score the 3 and keep his 4 month title reign in tact.
Young Wolves vs The Second City Saints This was one hard hitting match. Davey and Colt started things off and Davey just took it to Colt and never let up. Then Kyle tagged in for some fun and the Wolves just kept Colt from tagging in Punk every chance they got. It got too much for Punk who broke up a double team but was forced back to his corner. Finally Colt got away and tagged in Punk, who went ape on both O'Reilly and Richards. Colt eventually tagged back in and decided to throw Kyle outside the ring where they both started brawling. That was a mistake as the ref being a stupid ref got between both men and tried to get them back in the ring. Kyle didnt like that and shoved the ref hard into the ring apron, which is a no no and when the ref finally stood back up he called for the bell DQing the Wolves in the process.
ROH World Heavyweight Title Match Rob Van Dam vs Roderick Strong(c) w/ Truth Martini This match was everything the fans wanted and more. Both men tore into each other and it was extremely stiff. Strong looked to end the match early with a SICK KICK but RVD kicked out. Then RVD got momentum on his side and laid waste to Roddy. He almost had the match and the title after a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH but Truth was right there to pull the ref out of the ring at the last second saving Roddy. That was the moment Strong took over and kept the match in his favor. Towards the end RVD was favoring his arm for some reason and Strong preyed on that by locking in a LeBell Lock and RVD just could not get out of or reach the ropes and he finally had to tap out from the pain. Roderick Strong made it 2-0 at Border Wars and goes into his 5th month as World Heavyweight Champion!
We are glad you could join us tonight for Border Wars, we will see you all again next week for the newest edition of ROH TV!

ROH TV #18 May 18, 2013 Amsoil Arena, Duluth MN
The music of the HOT hits and out comes a very happy Truth Martini, Rhino, and World Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong. They all enter the ring and Strong is the one with a mic.
RS: "Last week at Border Wars I proved that nobody can beat me! In one night I took out our match maker Nigel McGuinness and that sad excuse of a man RVD for MY World Title! There is nobody in that locker room that can take this from me, and I will remain World Heavyweight Champion for a very long time!"
Then CM Punk's music plays and Punk comes out to the ring.
Punk: "Roddy, I am not currently out here to fight so you need to be calling off your dogs, I am only here to talk. As you know, I had to go through a bunch more hoops just to get another shot at you and the Title. I won all of those matches, and have decided that I want my match against you to be at Best In The World!"
RS: "You know what Punk, fine you get your rematch, but just know this: When I beat you AGAIN, there will be no more title shots! As long as I am champion you will never get another title shot EVER again!
Punk: "That is fine Strong, all I need is this one last match. But, we will not be having just a normal match. Oh no, not even a fight without honor. This match will see both of us walk in, but only one walk out, and not even your rat of a manager can save you this time. You see Roddy, you and I are settling this in CAGE WARS!"
RS: "What!....Fine, I will see you at Best In The World, and I have said from day one that I dont need Truth to help me win matches, I can do it all on my own! I have had enough of this, let's get out of here!"
The House leave the ring as Truth tries to calm Strong down while Punk is left in the ring with a giant smile on his face.
Madison Eagles vs Mia Yim This was a great opening match for the Women of Honor. Yim and Eagles took it to each other in a back and forth match until Eagles got frustrated at not being able to put Yim away and threw her to the outside. Madison then followed Mia out and grabbed a chair. The ref tried to stop Madison from using the chair but Madison pushed the ref away and smacked Mia over the back with the chair anyway drawing the DQ.
2 Cold Scorpio vs Jay Lethal This was a fast paced and quick match. Scorpio took it to Lethal early and looked to finish him off quick with a SCORPIO SPLASH but Jay kicked out and then went on the offensive himself. He hit Scorpio hard and almost got the win off a dragon suplex but Socrpio got out of that so Lethal followed up with a quick LETHAL INJECTION to keep Scorpio down for the three.
It has been announced that next week will be the start of a Tag Team Tournament to determine new number one contenders for the Briscoes at Best In The World.
Samoa Joe vs Homicide What a match! These two hit each other with everything including the kitchen sink! Homicide looked to have control early and take Joe out, even attacking with his fork but the ref did not see the fork. Joe finally got back into the match and was close to getting Cide to tap to the REAR NAKED CHOKE but Cide managed to escape. Homicide then got control back and he went to the top to try a move but Joe tried a counter and both men crashed and burned. Homicide was the first to get up though and grabbed up a groggy Joe for DA GRINGO KILLER to keep him down for the three.
Thank you for joining us tonight and we will see you all next week!

C&C Wrestle Factory vs The Young Bucks This was a hot opener! Both teams put on a show and wanted to prove they could be the number one contenders. The Bucks took control early and looked to end the match in quick fashion but C&C got their comeback and almost had the match won twice off of 2 C&C CONNECTION COMBOS but Matt kicked out both times and then got his comeback just about winning from his MOONSAULT but Coleman rolled Matt up off of that and barely got the 3. Matt took back the match quickly after than and Coleman was finally put down after MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK to send the Bucks to the next round.
Michael Elgin vs Mike Mondo Mondo put up a fight but he really had no chance against a very angry Elgin. Elgin just pounded Mondo into the ground and in short order put him out with a SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB.
Elgin grabbed the mic after the match and had something to say.
ME: "So I pretty much got my butt handed to me at Border Wars! Now to say I am unhappy would be an understatement, but I have looked on the bright side of things and I decided to go out and get me a partner to take on Rhino and the House of Truth! Welcome to ROH my new partner BRIAN CAGE!"
Music plays and out comes Brian Cage to some cheers from the fans as they really dont know Cage very well. He jumps into the ring and shakes hands with Elgin before Elgin continues.
ME: "Cage and I have fought together before and I am happy that we can do so again right here in ROH! You se Cage is a Machine, and I am Unbreakable, so together we are The Unbreakable F'N Machines! Strong and Rhino, we are coming for you boys!"
Origin vs S.C.U.M. This was another awesome tag match. Danielson got control at the start of the match and really took it to Jacobs. Then Claudio tagged in and continued the assault. Claudio eventually made a mistake and Corino tagged in to get control of the match. Cornio almost got the pin from an OLD SCHOOL LARIAT but Claudio kicked out so Jacobs got back into the match which was a mistake as Claudio simply planted him with a bicycle kick to get the three and put Origin in the next round.
Rhett Titus vs Roderick Strong w/ Truth Martini This would have been an awesome championship match for either title but tonight it was just non title, and Strong once again proved that he is just about unbeatable. It was back and forth for awhile then Strong took over and did not give up. 2 STRONGHOLDS were not enough to put Titus down and neither was a SICK KICK, which frustrated Strong. In the end it was an End of Heartache that finally put Titus down for the three.
Join us next week for the last 2 first round matches in the tag tournament and other great action, Goodnight!

ROH TV #20 June 1, 2013 Amsoil Arena, Duluth MN
The Young Wolves vs Steenerico This match was never really in doubt. Steen started off with Davey and just battered him around the ring for a bit before tagging out to Generico who continued. Davey did manage to fight off 4 attempted BRAINBUSTAAAHHHS!!! but he couldnt fight off or kick out of 2 SPIKE BRAINVBUSTERS to give Steen and El Generico the convincing win and put them in the next round.
O'Reilly was really unhappy after the match being as he never got a chance to get into the match and he got into it with Davey before shoving Davey away and leaving the ring alone.
Matt Taven vs Ethan Page Matt Taven was making his debut here in ROH and looked to impress. Page was trying to make sure Taven had a rotten debut. However once Taven got started he never stopped at Page had no answer for anything execpt to kick out of one ARM TARP HEADLOCK DRIVER after another. Taven had enough and nailed a perfect frog splash to keep Page down and get his first win. During the match Truth Martini came out to observe from the entrance way, but who was he watching?
Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs The Dojo Bros WGTT were not so great on this night. Haas and Shelton had control for a bit in the mach but the usual crucial mistake cost them. Edwards batter both men around the ring then tagged in Cole who picked up where Eddie left off. When Haas got in the ring he didnt seem too interested in locking up with Cole and that was what cost them the match. Cole used his speed to overwealm Haas and finally kept him down for the three with a FLORIDA KEY.
Brian Cage vs Rhino This wasnt much of a match as it was a quick brawl. Rhino was in no mood for Cage and just as soon as the bell rang threw Cage out of the ring where they started to brawl. The ref in his usual stupid manner got between the men and tried to get them back in the ring but Rhino swatted the ref away and that earned him a DQ. That didnt stop both men from continuing their brawl all the way to the back.
We will see you next week thanks for joining us!

ROH TV #21 June 8, 2013 Amsoil Arena, Duluth MN
The Young Bucks vs Origin The string of hot opening matches continues with this semifinal tag match! Momentum switched back and forth all match with neither team willing to go down. Nick tried to hit Danielson with a 450 SPLASH but Danielson moved and Nick crashed to the mat. Bryan tried to take control but Nick got back quickly and tried another 450 SPLASH to end the match only to crash and burn again. Then Claudio was tagged in and he used his power to his advantage until Matt tagged back into the match and went on the offensive. He tried to end Claudio with a MOONSAULT but like his brother before him crashed as Claudio got out of the way, but not before Matts boot connected with Claudio on the side of the head knocking him for a loop. Matt recovered and then the Bucks hit Claudio with MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK but Claudio kicked out, so they hit it again and this time Claudio stayed down and the Bucks advance to the finals next week.
BJ Whitmer vs Mike Bennett w/Brutal Bob and Maria Whitmer was looking for a win in his debut ROH match while Bennett was looking to continue his recent winning streak. Bennett tried everything but Whitmer would not stay down. BJ would make a comeback but Bennett kept knocking him back down. Bennett finally had enough and rolled Whitmer up while grabbing the tights for extra leverage and got the three.
Steenerico vs The Dojo Bros This was another match that proved these teams want to be number 1 contenders! Steen started off strong taking it to Eddie then Generico was tagged in. He tried to end things with a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! but Eddie fought him off and tagged in Cole who did a little bit better against Generico and even Cole fought off a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!!. Steen then tagged back in and that was all she wrote for Adam Cole as Steen just pounded him down then finished Cole off with a beautiful 450 splash to put Steenerico in the finals.
Proving Grounds Match Matt Taven vs Rhett Titus Taven had a chance to prove that he could hang with Titus was get a future TV Title shot, but tonight was not meant to be. Titus was all over the young rookie and in quick fashion crushed Taven with a MUFF DRIVER to keep his streak going and prove that nobody can take the World TV Title from him.
Thank you for joining us we will see you next week!

ROH TV #22 June 15, 2013 Amsoil Arena, Duluth MN
We are one week away from Best in The World and it is going to be an awesome night. Tonight we find out who the number 1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles will be and the debut of QT Marshall. Let's head to the ring!
Tommaso Ciampa vs QT Marshall w/R.D. Evans This was not a very good debut for QT. The fact that his first match was against Ciampa didnt help matters either as Ciampa was a psychopath unleashed. Marshall tried his best to put Ciampa down but it just did not happen. Running knee strikes, twisting neckbreakers and even a jumping piledriver just kept a smile on Ciampas face as he beat the daylights out of Marshall and all R.D. Evans could do was look on in horror. Ciampa finally tired of playing with his food and flattened Marshall with a PROJECT CIAMPA to end the misery.
Number One Contenders Tag Team Tournament Finals The Young Bucks vs Steenerico This was a match worthy of being the finals. Both teams went at each other with everything on the line, but Steen and El Generico were just as little bit better on this night. Steen started off with his usual power offense against Nick while Generico tagged in with the speed. Generico tried a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH!!! on Nick but he fought it off so Generico just used a SPIKE BRAINBUSTER instead, but Nick managed to kick out. When Steen tagged in though it was all over from there as Nick was so loopy from the brainbuster he was easy pickings for the debuting tag finisher of a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER INTO BRAINBUSTER that sealed the victory for Steenerico and puts them in the number 1 contender spot against the Briscoes at Best in The World!
Davey Richards vs Bobby Fish Davey Richards was all over Bobby Fish from the start of the match. Fish though for some reason did not seem interested in fighting back as Richards pounded him into the ground. Fish did fight through a couple of ANKLE LOCKS but in the end Davey hit a kicked to death that Fish could not kick out from and that was the end.
Following the match Kyle O'Reilly came down and got in Daveys face about the match. Davey was pleading his case saying it was just a match and Kyle would have done the same thing. Then O'Reilly went to check on Fish as Davey tried to leave the ring when Kyle attacked his partner. Davey never knew what hit him as Kyle just laid into Davey as the crowd booed. Fish then got up and assisted in the Davey beat down even nailing a FISH HOOK until to the surprise of everyone Eddie Edwards ran down to save his former partner and drive O'Reilly and Fish off.
We then get a video package showing both CM Punk and Roderick Strong training for their upcoming Cage match.
The Unbreakable F'N Machines vs The House of Truth w/Truth Martini Wow what a Main Event this was! Both teams pounded each other and either one wanted to take the pin. They traded momentum back and forth for the entire match. Finally toward the end Cage hit Strong with TOTAL ECLIPSE and got the surprise win as neither Martini no Rhino reacted fast enough.
We will see you all next week on IPPV for Best in The World!
