The Poffo Madness announcement has pulled me back to the game, so here goes (yet another) attempt at running a fed from me.
I'm pretty determined this time, as life in general has gotten a lot better and manageable, so I should be able to play at least once a week (maybe more).
Also, this time I've decided that I'll be using some wrestlers that I never tried out before, so it should be new and exciting!
I'll be re-using some of the ideas from my past work, as well as changing things up with new faces and names.
So, here goes:
New Era Wrestling will be a national promotion, headquartered here in Hartford, Connecticut, USA... where the bulk of TV tapings will be held, but the N.E.W. will also put on shows in various other venues (in particular many of the quarterly Pay Per Views).
New Era Wrestling will recognize the following Championship titles to start, with the possibility of adding further titles as time progresses:
* N.E.W. (New Era Wrestling) World Heavyweight Championship: to be defended at least once every 30 days (four cards) or the titleholder will relinquish the belt.
*N.E.W. World Tag Team Champions: to follow the same stipulation as the World Champion.
*N.E.W. North American Championship: to follow the same rules as the World and Tag Team Championships
*N.E.W. World Television Championship: this title must be defended once every fifteen days (two cards) or the holder must forfeit the title
*N.E.W. Women's World Championship: this title follows the same rules as the World, Tag Team, and North American championships
**No title can change hands on a disqualification or a count-out unless there are special match stipulations involved.
**New Era Wrestling recognizes and allows the use of a manager, valet, or second at ringside per wrestler/team. Only one such person is allowed.
* * * * *
The important people in N.E.W. (New Era Wrestling) are as follows:
*A.J. Costello- owner and promoter
*Rick Murphy- commissioner and General Manager
*"Mad" Mike Cantrell and Frankie Saddler- commentary team/interviewers
*...and as always, the lovely Cindy Shepherd- ring announcer/eye candy
* * * * *
All inaugural championship title holders were determined by single-elimination tournament.
Here are the initial N.E.W. champions:
*N.E.W. World Heavyweight Champion: "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase
*N.E.W. World Tag Team Champions: The Sheepherders (Butch & Luke)
*N.E.W. North American Champion: The Iron Sheik
*N.E.W. World Television Champion: Claudio Castagnoli
*N.E.W. Women's World Champion: "Big Red" April Hunter
* * * * *
As a result of the tournament finishes, the following wrestlers are the current top contenders:
*World: King Kong Bundy
*Tag Team: The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)
*North American: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan
*Television: "Superstar" Bill Dundee
*Women's: Daizee Haze
* * * * *
The first official N.E.W. card will be from N.E.W. Headquarters in Hartford, CT and will feature the very first defense of the Television title!
*More to come soon!*

New Era Wrestling: Card 1- Hartford, CT:
The introduction package is played as we open our first shot on our ring announcer, the lovely Cindy Shepherd, standing in the middle of the ring.
"Mad" Mike Cantrell: "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to what is sure to be an interesting and very exciting night of professional wrestling from right here in the studio-"
Frankie Saddler: "Right here in N.E.W. Headquarters in Hartford, CT!"
Cantrell: "That's right. Ladies and gents, allow me to introduce my broadcast partner-in-crime... Frankie Saddler."
Saddler: "Hello folks!"
Cantrell: "Well, folks, the tournaments were hard-fought, and hard won, but they're officially done and we have our champions... one of which we'll be seeing in action tonight in this very ring."
Saddler: "That's right, Mike. World Television Champion Claudio Castagnoli will be here, tonight, defending his belt! Should be a great match!"
Cantrell: "I'm sure it will be, Frankie. Well, it looks like Miss Shepherd is waiting to do her part, so let's get this show underway!"
Back in the ring, our announcer introduces tonight's first match...
*"Big" Bob Orton, Sr. v. John Pesek- This is less of a wrestling match as it is a fight to the death, as both men put every ounce of their beings into trying to put the other away for the better part of ten minutes, before Pesek succumbs to Orton's second PILEDRIVER of the match! The winner of the match: "Big" Bob Orton, Sr.!
Cantrell: "Well, folks, how about that classic fight to start things off?"
Saddler: "If that's how we're going to open things up... we're all in for one Heck of a ride here!"
Back to the ring, as the lovely miss Shepherd announces the next match...
* The James Gang (B.G. James & kip James) v. The Empire of The Rising Sun ( Fuji & Saito) w/ Miss Hitomi- A very cautious B.G. James starts the match against a very confident Mr. Fuji and, right away, the action gets out of control! There's a lot of quick tags and double-teaming from both teams, coming frequently and often. After a particularly close pin attempt by Kip James on Mr. Saito is broken up at the last second by Fuji... things spill out onto the floor! B.G. James and Fuji fighting like mad dogs on the outside while Kip and Saito recover in the ring turns ugly as B.G. is just about to lay out Fuji when the dastardly wrestler shoves his own second, the terrified Miss Hitomi, into the path of danger... but B.G. holds back his haymaker just in time! The damage has been done, however, as while B.G. was trying to smooth things over with the still-terrified Miss Hitomi, Fuji slipped into the ring and laid out the now-recovered Kip James with a BANZAI DROP while the ref was distracted by the events going on outside. This allows a still-wobbly Mr. Saito to get into position to cover Kip for the pin and the win! The winners of the match: The Empire of The Rising Sun!
Cantrell: "Wow. That was... I can't find the words to describe what I've just witnessed here, people!"
Saddler: "Despicable."
Cantrell: "You can say that again! Something tells me those two teams haven't finished with each other just yet..."
(Promoter's Note: I am going to go ahead and start this off as a feud! Those teams were really killing themselves out there. Too good to not do again.)
Once more to the ring for Miss Shepherd's announcing of...
*Delirious v. Austin Aries- These two waste no time in going after one another (causing poor Cindy to flee the ring, scared for her life!) and pulling out all the stops! There's plenty of action, and near falls back and forth but eventually Delirious falls prey to one brainbuster too many, allowing Aries to go for a lazy pin for the victory. The winner of the match: Austin Aries!
Our announcing team is joined by a special guest for our next match: top contender Daizee Haze!
Meanwhile, back in the ring, a recovered Cindy Shepherd announces the following contest...
*Jazz v. Sara Del Rey- The ladies both bring their "A-Game" for tonight's contest, which sees the action (for once tonight) staying in the ring. In the end, however, neither Sara nor Jazz can quite get an edge over the other in time, and the allotted time expires, resulting in a draw! After the match, the women get nose-to-nose and stare each other down for a tense moment before separating, and shaking hands as a show of mutual respect. The results of the match: a time-limit draw!
Cantrell: "A great show brought to us by some of the top ladies in N.E.W., ladies and gentlemen!"
Daizee Haze: "I'd like to point out, if I may, the show of respect and sportsmanship at the end of that match. "Sportsmanship"... something our first-ever N.E.W. Women's champion April Hunter would know nothing about!"
Saddler: "Well, Miss Haze... tell us how you really feel!"
Haze: "Well, if you insist. April Hunter fought dirty through-out the entire championship tournament, for one thing. Let's not forget the way she gave poor Nora Greenwald that cheap shot at the opening of their match, for starters... or how she had to resort to dirty-fighting and foreign objects in the finals against me!"
Cantrell: "Well, Daizee, anyone who saw that tournament would definitely see your point, but-"
Haze: "I know they would, right? That's why, here tonight, I am calling out Miss April Hunter... our esteemed Women's champion... to fight me right here, next week! I know she's got an entire thirty days to hide from me before she HAS to fight me... but I want to settle this NOW! What do you say, April? Wanna dance?"
Cantrell: "Ladies and gentlemen... we've had our first challenge right here, right now! We'll let you know what the champ has to say as soon as we can!"
Haze: "Thanks for your time, guys. Sorry I kinda stole your show away from you for a moment, there."
Saddler: "Think nothing of it!"
Back to the ring for our next match...
*George "the Animal" Steele w/Captain Lou Albano v. "Exotic" Adrian Street w/Miss Linda- The match starts off slowly, with Street employing all the stalling tactics he knows in an effort to avoid getting tangled up with "such a brute" as George Steele! Eventually, however, Street is caught by his opponent and things really get rolling! "The Animal" takes the advantage and holds onto it like a rabid animal, terrorizing and abusing poor Adrian for what seems like an eternity until Street escapes out to the floor, where he makes a run for it! The referee has no choice but to count Street out and we have our winner! The winner of the match: George "the Animal" Steele!
Cantrell: "Well, ladies and gentlemen... how about that little show just now?"
Saddler just laughs!
Cantrell: "Poor Adrian Street! Wow."
Saddler: "That said, we've since gotten word from The Commissioner... it seems that Daizee Haze has gotten her wish, and Women's champion April Hunter has accepted her challenge for a match right here, next week!"
Cantrell: "That's gonna be a good one, for sure! Back to the action!"
Time for our main event of the night, and the lovely Cindy Shepherd really knocks it out of the park...
"Superstar" Bill Dundee w/ Jimmy Hart v. Claudio Castagnoli (Television Champion)- In the early minutes of the match, World Champion Ted Dibiase can be seen watching carefully from the entrance area (making Jimmy Hart just a little nervous). The match is intense, with plenty of give-and-take early, until the champion gets the advantage and just refuses to let up on the Superstar! Despite the efforts of the Mouth of the South, "Superstar" Dundee falls victim to one of Castagnoli's bridging fall-away slams and it ends just shy of the time limit! The winner of the match and still N.E.W. Television Champion: Claudio Castagnoli!
Our announcing team is joined by the victorious champ afterwards!
Cantrell: "Allow me to be the first to congratulate you on your first successful defense of your gold, champ!"
Claudio Castagnoli: "Thank you, Mike. Thank you, Frankie. The result was never in question, was it? I think not."
Saddler: "The odds were not in your favor, what with the devious Jimmy Hart at ringside, but still... great win, Claudio!"
Castagnoli: "Again, thank you, but... no. I think the odds were decidedly in my favor. I am the champion, after all!"
The men are then joined by "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase!
Cantrell: "Well, this is a surprise and a pleasure. Welcome to N.E.W. Headquarters, Champ!"
Ted Dibiase: "Save it, Cantrell. I'm here on business. Specifically... I want to talk to Mr. Castagnoli, here. You see, they call wrestling the "Sport of Kings" and I suppose that would make Mr. Castagnoli and I special. You might even say 'kings among kings' if you wanted to. My point is, a smart man in this business always has friends there to watch his back. Especially in a promotion like this one, which is crawling with devious and shifty little managers and assorted weasels. So, I am putting together a little club, if you will, of worthy indivuals... proper gentlemen. So, I ask you now, Claudio: Ready to join the Gentleman's Club?"
Dibiase offers his hand to Castagnoli to shake on it.
Castagnoli thinks on this for a moment, then reaches out and takes Dibiase's hand with an evil grin.
Dibiase: "Welcome to the Club, Claudio!"
Castagnoli: "The Gentlemen's club! I like the sound of that!"
Both wrestlers leave the interview area then.
Cantrell: "Well, ladies and gentlemen... I don't know what just happened, but I'm sure this is just the beginning of something, here."
Saddler: "It's going to be great, Cantrell! Just wait!"
*the End*

New Era Wrestling: Card 2- Hartford, CT:
The introduction video package plays as normal and our first image is of "Mad" Mike Cantrell and Frankie Saddler at the interview stage.
Cantrell: "Hi, everybody! Welcome back to New Era Wrestling!"
Saddler: "Coming to you, as usual, from Hartford, Connecticut of course."
Cantrell: "Of course! This is, indeed, N.E.W. Headquarters, after all. We have what should be an excellent night of great wrestling action ahead of us, so let's get to it without any further ado!"
We now go to the ring, where our announcer Cindy Shepherd is waiting, mic in hand, to introduce...
* "Classy" Freddie Blassie v. Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana- Though he put in a good effort, Cabana is simply manhandled and mauled by Blassie in short order. The winner of the match: "Classy" Freddie Blassie!
Cantrell: "And once again we are off to a great start... though Colt Cabana might disagree."
Saddler: "It was a pretty one-sided fight, Mike."
Cantrell: "Indeed it was. Soon as the smoke clears, we'll get back to ringside and the lovely Cindy Shepherd..."
Back in the ring, Miss Shepherd then announces...
* Blackjack Mulligan w/Bobby 'the Brain' Heenan v. Rob Van Dam- The two wrestlers pulled out all the stops for this one, trading the upper hand numerous times before a resurgent RVD is distracted by the evil machinations of the Brain, allowing his man to get in a cheap shot with a chair! The result is, of course, a win for the Heenan Family. The winner of the match: Blackjack Mulligan!
Cantrell: "Ladies and gentlemen... what we have just witnessed is a travesty of justice!"
Saddler: "What do you mean? I didn't see anything wrong..."
They are joined at the interview stage by a battered and bloodied RVD then.
Van Dam: "Excuse me if I get any blood on you guys, but I just have something to say about that so-called 'match'!"
Cantrell: "Go ahead, Rob..."
RVD: "I was willing to play fair, here, but you can see where that gets a guy! So, Heenan Family, listen up! You woke up a sleeping mother-effing DRAGON tonight! This is far from over! Now, I gotta go make a phone call. We're gonna even the odds here a little!"
Van Dam then leaves, and we go back to the ring for...
*The Hillbillies (Hillbilly Jim & Cousin Luke) v. The Tolos Brothers (Chris & John Tolos)- Jim starts off against John, and before much time passes at all, all four men are brawling on the outside, out of control! The poor referee has no choice but to declare a double count-out! It takes the majority of the locker room coming out to break up the brawl and get the men apart from each other! The results: A Double Count-out Draw!
Cantrell: "Wow. Just... wow. I'm guessing that those two teams are going to be eager to have a rematch..."
Saddler: "I'm sure that both teams are already heading for the General Manager's office as we speak!"
Cantrell: "Definitely been an exciting night, and we're only about half-way into it!"
Once again, we join Miss Shepherd in the ring for...
* Harley Race v. Roderick Strong- Shortly after the match begins, we see World Champion Ted DiBiase and Television Champion Claudio Castagnoli at the entrance area, looking sharp in well-tailored suits with their respective championship belts casually slung over their shoulders watching intently. To give young Strong credit, he put forth a valiant effort, but the crafty veteran was just too much for him today. The end result is Strong tapping out to an Indian Deathlock at roughly the ten-minute mark. The winner of the match: Harley Race!
After the match, the two champions who had been observing make their way into the ring to congratulate Race and to talk with him for a bit. Dibiase does most of the talking, and after a moment offers Race a smile and his hand... and Race simply shakes his head and turns away!
A visibly angered DiBiase and Castagnoli immediately attack Harley from behind and start putting the boots to him for a good long moment before they are chased away by Race's tag-team partner and old friend Larry "the Axe" Hennig!
The members of the Gentlemen's Club are at the entrance area, looking into the ring with barely-contained anger when Race retrieves the house mic from a startled Cindy Shepherd and announces to all in attendance and those viewing at home:
Race: "Handsome Harley Race doesn't need to be in your little Club, DiBiase! I play second-fiddle to no man! No man! You hear me? This is a formal declaration of war, Mister DiBiase! I hope to the heavens that you manage to keep your belt away from King Kong Bundy, because I'm going to love taking it from you! You hear me? I'm coming after you! I don't care how many little toadies you have, either! We're not done, mister!"
Race then casually drops the mic to the mat and he and Hennig stomp angrily back to the locker rooms.
Cantrell: "What did we just see?"
Saddler: "I think we saw Harley Race write a check with his mouth that I'm not sure his butt can cash..."
Cantrell just cuts his partner a sour look, and we're back to the action!
Once again, our lovely Miss Shepherd is in the ring, and we get ready for...
*Pepper Gomez v. "the American Dragon" Bryan Danielson- Gomez starts out strong, working over Danielson with a good head for strategy but the American Dragon manages, somehow, to make a comeback and take the fight right back to him! The advantage changes hands a few more times, with each near fall becoming more and more perilous, until after a long battle, Gomez is forced to submit to CATTLE MUTILATION in the closing minutes of the match. After a tense stare-down, the two men begrudgingly shake hands and leave the ring. The winner of the match: Bryan Danielson!
Cantrell: "What a great match! Ladies and gentlemen... it's matches like this that we here at N.E.W. strive to keep bringing you."
Saddler: "Only the best, here."
Cantrell: "That's right, Frankie. And speaking of the best, this means we're ready for tonight's Main Event as Women's Champion April Hunter takes on the very feisty and fiery Daizee Haze in what I guess can be called a Challenge Match."
Saddler: "That's right, Mike. This is what Daizee asked for last week, and our General Manager saw fit to make it happen!"
Cantrell: "Well, it is her right to challenge for the title, as she's the number one contender, after all."
Saddler: "That may be true, Mike, but the champion has a full thirty days allowed to her before she has to defend her title."
Cantrell: "That is true. We're getting one Heck of a show tonight, let me tell you!"
Back to the ring once more for the introductions for tonight's Main Event...
*Main Event: Daizee Haze v. "Big Red" April Hunter (Women's Champion)- There's a lot of bad blood between these two women and they let everyone know it during this brutal, hard-fought match! April's power seems to be insurmountable for Daizee for a while, but the fiery blonde fights her way back, nearly scoring a pinfall! The war continues with Daizee seemingly having the upper hand until a crafty April Hunter takes things outside the ring, where the war really heats up! An over-confidant Daizee Haze gets caught by the champion and takes a vicious power slam onto the exposed concrete floor! An exhausted April Hunter just barely manages to slip back into the ring, avoiding a double count-out. Afterwards, a triumphant April Hunter gloats in the ring, holding her precious championship belt aloft as officials and a concerned Sara Del Rey attend to the fallen Daizee. Winner of the match and still the N.E.W. Women's Champion: "Big Red" April Hunter!
Cantrell: "A dirty desperation move from the champion manages to save her skin and the title tonight, folks, but I wouldn't count out one Miss Daizee Haze!"
Saddler: "It was ugly, Mike, but a win is a win."
Once again, Mike Cantrell casts his partner a sour look as we draw to a close.
*the End*

I know it's actually not someone I made up, but I always envision that N.E.W.'s Cindy Shepherd looks like this lovely lady: (Promoter's note: I'm madly in love with Britney Palmer...)

New Era Wrestling: Card 3- Hartford, CT:
The introductory video now is a highlight reel from pervious shows, but it takes us, as always, to "Mad" Mike Cantrell and Frankie Saddler at the interview stage.
Cantrell: "Welcome back to New Era Wrestling, ladies and gentlemen! It's been a great ride so far, but let me tell you this: Tonight will be our most exciting show to date!"
Saddler: "That's absolutely right, Mike! Tonight we have two... count 'em... TWO championships on the line."
Cantrell: "That's right, Frankie. I guarantee you folks, tonight is going to be amazing! Let's go to ringside!"
Our ring announcer, the beautiful Miss Cindy Shepherd is in the ring to make the introductions for...
*Gorgeous George w/ Cherie Dupre v. Rikidozan w/ Miss Hitomi- After what seems like forever as both men do their respective 'pre-match rituals', the action really kicks off fast and furious! At every moment when Rikidozan seems to get the upper hand, the wily George manages to slip outside the ring to catch a breather and gather his wits. After this happens a few too many times, an enraged Rikidozan can take no more and really unloads on George in what can only be described as an all-out brawl! Unable to regain control of the match, the referee has no choice but to rule this one a double disqualification! Just when you thought it was over, Rikidozan is joined in his efforts by his allies in the Empire of the Rising Sun: Fuji and Saito! The three Japanese grapplers lay an unmerciful beating on poor George, leaving Cherie to run to the back for help! In no time a number of wrestlers from the back run out to stop the heinous attack and they are lead by "Doctor Death" Steve Williams and his tag-team partner Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy, and the villains are successfully chased off (all the while using Miss Hitomi as a human shield) but the damage has already been done! Results: A Double Disqualification!
We cut back to the interview area as an injured Gorgeous George is helped to the back on a stretcher, with a mob of angry American wrestlers still in the ring!
(Promoter's Note: George will be injured for four fight cards!)
Cantrell: "Well... that was..."
Saddler: "Uncalled for?"
Cantrell: "Not exactly what I had in mind, Frankie, but it's close enough. We'll have more news to report on Gorgeous George as we hear it, folks!"
Saddler: "The promoter must be loving this, Mike! I can just see the man now, wringing his hands in greedy anticipation over the idea of what kind of audience that rematch will bring him!"
Cantrell: "Best not to... um... say that kinda stuff aloud, man."
With things back to normal, we once again return to the ring for the introductions of...
*Nora Greenwald v. "Sensational" Sherri Martel w/ Jim Cornette- The two ladies put on a wrestling clinic for the audience, really going after each other and not letting up! Just when it seems that Nora has the match all but in the bag, the devious Jim Cornette jumps onto the apron and makes a general nuisance of himself, distracting Nora and causing her to rush over and knock him to the floor! One FLIPPING SEATED SENTON and it is all over for Sherri! The winner of the match: Nora Greenwald!
A very angry Sherri Martel stalks off to the locker room, trailed by her repentant manager as the victor comes to the interview stage for a chat...
Cantrell: "Congratulations on your win, Miss Greenwald! That was a great performance."
Greenwald: "Thank you very much, Mike. All credit where it's due... "Sensational" Sherri is one of the toughest opponents I've ever faced. I'm glad that I came away with the win tonight, but I'd like to take a moment of your time and address our General Manager Mr. Rick Murphy, if I may."
Saddler: "Go ahead, Nora."
Greenwald: "Thanks again. Long story short, Mister Murphy: I feel that I was cheated out of a rightful win in the championship tournament, and I'm formally requesting that you consider me for the next opponent for the Women's Championship... whoever it is that holds it. That's all. Thanks again, guys."
Saddler: "Our pleasure, Miss Greenwald!"
Cantrell: "Well, it looks like things are heating up for the champion, one April Hunter! I wouldn't want to be in her shoes!"
Saddler: "Good thing, too. You'd look really funny wearing her gear, Mike."
Cantrell just cuts his colleague a sour look and we go back to the ring for the lovely Cindy Shepherd's announcing of...
*One Man Gang w/ Jimmy Hart v. Killer Kowalski- The two big men don't mess around at all, getting to the action right away! This is not a wrestling match, this is a straight-up fight! Just when Kowalski has things going his way he gets distracted by the Mouth of the South and as he goes to chase of the shifty little man he fails to notice that the Gang now has Hart's megaphone! One quick shot to the back of Kowalski's head (as the ref is distracted) sets up Kowalski for the 747 SPLASH and an easy three-count. The winner of the match: The One Man Gang!
Cantrell: "I'm beginning to wonder if we're going to see a clean finish at all tonight, Frankie..."
Saddler: "Been an interesting night of action, for sure."
Back to the ring announcer, who leads us into...
*The Wild-Eyed Southern Boys ( Tommy Rich & Tracey Smothers) v. The Heartbreak Express (Sean & Phil Davis)- Before she even finishes her introductions, Cindy Shepherd is accosted by the Davis boys and she eagerly makes her escape, looking disgusted the whole time! Once the referee has restored order, the match begins with Tommy Rich in against "Fabulous" Phil Davis. The Heartbreak Express manages to get the advantage after some well-practiced double-teaming on Smothers, but he escapes their clutches and makes the hot tag to Rich, who storms the ring and cleans house! In no time Rich hits the THESZ PRESS on a stunned Phil Davis for the pinfall and the victory! The winners of the match: Wild-Eyed Southern Boys (Rich & Smothers)!
Cantrell: "An excellent outing by both teams. This is what we're all about here at N.E.W., ladies and gentlemen."
Saddler: "It's gonna be tough to follow that action, Mike."
Cantrell: "Well, seeing as our next matches are for the North American and Tag team Championships... I think we're going to see some folks try their best."
We go back to the ring for the introductions to our Co-Main Event...
*"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan v. The Iron Sheik (North American Champion)- Right off the bat, these two men are at each other's throats! The poor referee has his hands full with this one, and it's all he can do to get the action back inside the ring once Duggan and the Iron Sheik take it outside. The match soon turns into a bloody mess as both men end up wearing the crimson mask! Battered and bloody, the two tough, powerful men refuse to give up or give the other an inch, and before anyone can realize what's happening, the bell rings signaling the end of the match! Duggan and the Sheik keep fighting, heedless of the helpless referee's attempts to break them up soon lead him to call for assistance from the back. The locker room once again empties and eventually the two men are separated and taken to the back, still trying to get at one another. Results: A time-limit draw!
Cantrell: "Wow. What a war!"
Saddler: "You said it! I have a feeling that this isn't going to be the last time we'll see that pairing matching up, Mike."
Cantrell: "Bank on that, Frankie. Neither man will rest until there's an undisputed, no-doubt-about-it winner, I'm sure."
Saddler: "Well, Mike, you know what time it is, now?"
Cantrell: "I sure do, Frankie! It is time for our Main Event so without further ado, let's go to the ring..."
For the last time tonight, the lovely Cindy Shepherd stands in the center of the ring, eagerly announcing...
*Main Event: The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) w/ Paul Ellering v. The Sheepherders (Butch & Luke: Tag Team Champions) w/ Captain Lou Albano- Animal starts off the match, paired up with Butch. It's a tough, no-holds-barred wrestling match that soon turns into a heated brawl with both teams making tags frequently and effectively. A worried Captain Lou tries to get involved numerous times, only to be intercepted by "Precious" Paul! Meanwhile, the war to end all tag team wars continues in the middle of the ring, until a desperate Sheepherder Luke attempts to make a run for it on the outside, only to be caught by Animal and unceremoniously tossed back into the ring only to be caught by a waiting Road Warrior Hawk. In no time, there's a DOOMSDAY DEVICE and a cover... only to be interrupted by the Captain! His last-minute actions get his team disqualified, but they escape with their lives and the gold! Winners of the match (by disqualification): The Road Warriors!
We close the broadcast with a shot of the triumphant (but very angry) Road Warriors and Paul Ellering in the middle of the ring.
Cantrell: "Well, everyone, that's all the time we have for this week. Be sure to come back to us next week, where we'll have a statement from our General Manager regarding the lawless nature of tonight's broadcast!"
Saddler: "On behalf on my partner "Mad" Mike Cantrell and Cindy Shepherd, I bid you all a good night!"
Cantrell: "See you all next week!"
*the End*

This ^ showdown is for sure the highlight of the card and this feud is really great stuff, I can't wait to see what's next. Stellar work AJ...

Thanks for reading and commenting, gentlemen!
The way the George/Rikidozan match played out I just HAD to turn it into a feud, you know?
It's funny, because I planned on using George as a heel...
