I get the concept, but it just feels odd. Exactly my toughs. At least if they had all been heels before the formation it would have made more sense.

You can't say either of them were really heels going into that show.

You can't say either of them were really heels going into that show. Roddy's been a heel in ROH for a long, long time. He works the same style either way. Jacobs is different and I can see the argument that he wasn't a heel.

I would argue that audience reaction and how you are booked takes precedent over your style when it comes to whether you are a heel or not. Going into Final Battle, Roddy had been doing the Mr. ROH thing and had just worked a quasi-series with Adam Cole where Cole could be said to have been the heel. Strong was teaming with Jay Lethal that night and I would say that most of the crowd would have considered him a babyface. Not to say anyone was surprised when he turned.
