That was a great tag team tournament - with the Young Bucks going out in the first match and The Colony defeating Londrick to claim the gold! A few of my favourites in action there.
Red White-n-Blue was an enjoyable follow up! Although I must say I was sad that Kobald came up short and didn't manage to recapture the title. I am hopeful that he will get another chance soon and I will be there, cheering him on.

Evolve 181 Red-White-n-Blue was fun from start to finish. I liked Veda Scott joining Martin Stone and was very surprised to see him lose that match to Tugboat Taylor. Those two have a past feuding in FIP so it looks like it will continue as you know Stone and Veda will be looking to avenge that loss. Team Tremendous over Chocolate Rain-n-Thunder was an upset in my book but it is cool to see Barry & Carr entrenched in the Evolve Six.
AR Fox scored a nice win over Chris Dickinson in their bout. It would be cool to see Fox break back into the Evolve Six. Jigsaw & Tim Donst, along with the obnoxious Larry Dallas, struck gold by ending the brief reign of Hi-Air Evolution as the Evolve tag team champions. Congrats to Timsaw on their title win. Ethan Page retains the Evolve title with a solid win over Kobald but then gets confronted by Zack Sabre Jr. I liked the callback to Sabre's prior title shots and it was cool to see Page accepted his challenge to a title match. Another solid show my friend.

‹AUGUST - EVOLVE 182› EVOLVE WRESTLING is headed for Brooklyn, New York and EVOLVE 182 is all about the "Open the Freedom Gate Championship". Like with EVOLVE 180, EVOLVE 182 will see a tournament and that tournament will see who'll be the champion...Johnny Gargano vs. PJ Black Michael Kai Rayne vs. Roderick Strong Drew Galloway vs. Davey Richards Tracy Williams vs. Brodie LeeBrodie Lee is the current OTFG Champion and he wants to keep the gold, but the two longest reigning champions in Johnny Gargano who held the title for 8 defenses and 4 defenses with his first reign. Plus, Michael Kai Rayne had 9 defenses are looking to win the belt again and both men could meet in the finals to crown the champion...So EVOLVE 182 is set and the three round tournament will take place on this night and we will find out who will be our "Open the Freedom Gate Champion"...

That is an awesome field of competitors involved in that tournament... Would love to see the Darewolf capture some gold, but he's gotta tough road ahead of him... Especially in the first round where he has to face arguably best OTFG Champion in the history of this great fed - Johnny Gargano... Can't wait!

Even with the injury, the Big Rig remained a threat to win it all... But, the American Wolf is an intense competitor... Very cool to see him walking out with the gold...
Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to the inevitable Lee vs Masada bout that will not be a sight for the faint of heart...
Fun stuff!

The tournament for the Open the United Gate title at Evolve 182 was stellar. I was pulling for Johnny Gargano to win but Davey Richards leaves with the gold beating defending champion Brodie Lee in the finals. I loved how the champion participated in the tournament with the title transferring to Evolve. That was a cool idea and Lee, although being injured by Masada, showed a lot by getting to the finals including beating Roderick Strong.
On a side note when you first started the fed I always joked about Gargano being Cena-like as he was a dominant champion for you. Thanks to your fed I was convinced to get the Evolve set and saw that Gargano indeed had a more powerful card than the one I was using for him from the CHIKARA set. The updated Gargano is a great representation of "Johnny Wrestling" and thanks to you and of course getting to see him regularly in NXT I have become a big fan of the guy. Shows the power that truly comes out of the FG universe as it is a great way to discover and appreciate the talented men and women that have become a part of this great game.

Whoops. I saw I made a typo in writing United instead of Freedom for that tournament at E182. Anyway, it was fun doing those two tournaments and them being somewhat similar was cool. cruefan68 it's funny how after or close to it, when you mentioned that about Gargano how once he lost the title he slipped from the title scene. He is still a top guy and I'm sure he'll get another title reign...

That was a big win for Moose in the main event... He has definitely earned his number two spot on the Evolve Six... Can he reclaim the title?
Was hoping that Ciampa would walk out with a victory, but EC3 is the new number one contender for the OtFG title... And I'm looking forward to the return of Midnight U.. It's been awhile...
Great stuff, as always!
