New fed here and I'm going for something different this time around.
This is Mid-Atlantic Wrestling and I started this in 1974. I ran live events throughout the year of 1974 and established champions, ran some shows to establish some feuds and to generally get an idea of my roster out of the gate. Now, the year is 1975 and Mid-Atlantic has just started a new syndication package in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. These shows are Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and World Wide Wrestling. Both shows are weekly and will build up to monthly shows at arenas. The tv shows will be almost entirely squash matches, I will throw in some feature bouts here and there. For the purposes of this promotion Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling is the flagship program and World Wide Wrestling is the B show. Here are the champions as of January 1st, 1975:
NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Randy Savage NWA World Tag Team Champions: vacant NWA United States Champion: Harley Race NWA Television Champion: Angelo Poffo Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion: Pepper Gomez Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions: Mike and Ted Dibiase

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling #1: 1/4/1975
taped from Raleigh, NC
Masked Superstar d. Doug Vines w/ the Cobra Hold
Masked Superstar stops in with Bob Caudle. He stunned the world on Thanksgiving Day when he defeated Andre the Giant to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. But his success was short lived as he lost the belt to Randy Savage on Christmas Eve. Being the World Champion, that's like winning the World Series of winning the Super Bowl. It makes you the best in the world. It's hard to give up that status and prestige. You lay awake at night thinking about how that belt felt around your waist and how people treated you with awe. Randy Savage beat him for that belt but he's not ready to give that belt up just yet. There will be a rematch for that belt and it will happen soon.
Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Pepper Gomez d. Lee Ramsey w/ the Mexican Cradle
Ray Stevens and Bobby Heenan are with Bob Caudle. Caudle mentions that Gomez and Stevens traded that Mid-Atlantic belt back and forth a few times last year. Will Stevens continue to pursue that championship in 1975. Heenan says of course Ray Stevens will still be after the Mid-Atlantic Championship in 1975. Pepper Gomez got lucky on Christmas Eve when he regained the belt. It was proven over and over again that Ray Stevens is the superior wrestler. They'll end this feud once and for all and send Gomez packing back to Mexico.
Blackjack Mulligan d. Joel Deaton w/ the Clawhold
Blackjack Mulligan stops in with Bob Caudle. Caudle asks about his loss in the United States Tournament final to Harley Race. Mulligan says that he's still upset about the fact that a weasel like Bobby Heenan cost him that United States title belt. That wasn't a good start to his year. But Harley Race and Bobby Heenan haven't heard the last of Blackjack Mulligan. There will be a reckoning down the road.
Tommy Rich and Tony Atlas d. Randy Barber and Mike Jackson w/ the Thesz Press
Jim Crockett is out with the NWA World Tag Team Title belts. He's proud to announce that later this month in Columbia, SC that there will be a tournament to crown the first ever champions. Mid-Atlantic went out and signed the best tag teams in the world for this tournament.
Main Event: NWA World Heavyweight Champion Randy Savage d. Mister X w/ the Flying Elbow Drop

World Wide Wrestling #1: 1/5/1975
taped from Raleigh, NC
Buddy Rose d. Joshua Stroud w/ the Bombs Away
NWA Television Champion Angelo Poffo joins Bob Caudle. He starts off by stating how proud he is that his son won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on Christmas Eve. The Poffo household was just blessed this holiday season with championship success. He realizes that being the NWA Television Champion means that he will be constantly showcased on television against some tough challengers. But he's ready to answer that call. He'll put the gold on the line anytime and anywhere.
Buddy Rose walks onto the set. He asks if Poffo is serious with that challenge and Poffo says that he is. Rose asks if Poffo would be willing to put that belt on the line on next week's show. Poffo says he'd be more than willing to defend the belt against Rose. Caudle announces that next week it's going to be Angelo Poffo defending the NWA Television Championship against Buddy Rose.
Jimmy Valiant d. Doug Vines w/ the Sleeper
Jimmy Valiant stops in with Bob Caudle. The Boogie Woogie Man is excited to be in Mid-Atlantic Wrestling where all of the best wrestlers in the world are at. He's checked out the landscape here and he sees lots of guys that need knocked down a peg or two. He sees the Russians, the Vachons, Johnny Valentine and the Masked Superstar out there with big heads. Well this is fair warning, the Boogie Woogie Man is coming for them.
Billy Lyons and Dewey Robertson d. the Golden Terror and Salvatore Bellomo w/ the Figure Four Leglock
Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Pepper Gomez joins Bob Caudle. He's surprised that Bobby Heenan and Ray Stevens are so arrogant right now. The score of the game is Pepper Gomez 2 and Ray Stevens 1. He agrees, Ray Stevens is a world class wrestler. Stevens might even be the toughest opponent he's faced since coming to Mid-Atlantic Wrestling. But the facts are that the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship is in his possession at this moment in time. That makes him the better man and that means Ray Stevens is going to have to prove differently. He tells Stevens that he'll gladly put the belt up anytime, anywhere.
the Vachons d. Gene Ligon and Mike Jackson w/ the Piledriver
Butcher Vachon and Mad Dog Vachon stop in with Bob Caudle. Mad Dog Vachon has two things on his mind right now, those Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship belts that the Dibiases currently possess. He and his brother spent 1974 terrorizing tag teams in the Mid-Atlantic area. They were a match away from those belts during the initial tournament back in August. They want those belts and they'll destroy anyone that gets in their way.
Main Event: Masked Superstar d. Mike Simone w/ the Spinning Neckbreaker
Masked Superstar stops in with Bob Caudle. He talks about how he threw the wrestling world for a loop when he beat Andre the Giant for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. No one was looking at the Masked Superstar as being a potential World Champion. Now he gets to carry that achievement around for the rest of his life. No one can take being a World Champion away from him. But that isn't good enough. He wants the belt back and he will go to any length to regain that belt. Randy Savage is going down.

You definitely have the studio wrestling feel going on here.
But I have to ask: Do you actually roll up all of these squash matches? I'm guessing not but feel free to keep 'kayfabe' about it.

If you see a jobber with an actual card like South, Rodz, Sharpe, Milleman or Mister X then I played that match. If not, I usually don't. I did for a really long time but you fit a match that never ends with a squash and you just want to kill yourself. I've been toying with the idea of creating a squash match chart for the game but I just haven't sat down and thought it through yet. To me, the tv is more about narrative than it is the matches when it's studio wrestling.

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling #2: 1/11/1975
taped from Raleigh, NC
Clips of an arena show play. Masked Superstar blindsides NWA World Heavyweight Champion Randy Savage after a match. Masked Superstar rams him into a ring post and then tosses him into the guard rail. Masked Superstar rolls him into the ring and applies the Cobra Hold as the opening of the show kicks in.
Bob Caudle is with Masked Superstar as the show opens. Masked Superstar laughs at the clip they started the show off with. He says that he has the World Champion's full attention now. Now, instead of the NWA hoping that the Masked Superstar just goes away, he's at the top of everyone's list again. He's not getting passed over for any upcoming World Title shots. He's not going to let that World Title slip away a second time.
Giant Baba d. Doug Vines w/ the Neckbreaker Drop
Freddie Blassie joined the commentary booth during this match. He launched into a racist tirade against Giant Baba and the nation of Japan. After the match Giant Baba stopped in with Bob Caudle. Freddie Blassie continued his racist comments thinking that Giant Baba didn't understand him. Baba freaked out and leveled Blassie with a giant chop. Baba blasted him with an elbow to the head as he struggled to his feet. Baba pulled Blassie to his feet and then tossed him right through the set of the interview area. Giant Baba stormed off leaving Blassie laid out in the wreckage of the set.
Hamilton Wrecking Crew d. Jim and Mac Jeffers w/ the Flying Knee Drop
Paul Ellering and the Road Warriors join Bob Caudle for an interview. Ellering says that the Road Warriors heard that Mid-Atlantic were looking for the best teams in the world today. Well, you can't have a tournament of the best tag teams in the world without including the Road Warriors in that tournament. Animal says he doesn't care how many tag teams are after that gold, the Road Warriors will tear them all apart. Hawk chimes in and asks Bob Caudle to name a better tag team than the Road Warriors. When Caudle doesn't answer he says that's the point. The Road Warriors will be coming to Columbia, SC to collect their shiny new World Title belts.
NWA United States Champion Harley Race d. Gene Ligon w/ the Piledriver
Bobby Heenan and NWA United States Champion Harley Race stop in with Bob Caudle. Race heard Mulligan out here whining on last week's show. Race says that losers always whine about their best. This belt right here means that he's the best professional wrestler in the United States of America. 50 states and thousands of miles of land and he rules over all of it. There's only one person in wrestling that stands over him and that's the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He plans to fix that problem in time. But first he has to take care of an old broken down horse named Blackjack Mulligan. He's had to shoot more than one lame horse in his life and it won't be any different with Blackjack Mulligan.
Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Mike and Ted Dibiase d. Snake Brown and Joel Deaton w/ the Figure Four Leglock
NWA Television Champion Angelo Poffo is out for an interview. Poffo informs the fans that he accepted a challenge from Buddy Rose. On tomorrow's edition of World Wide Wrestling he'll be putting this belt on the line against Buddy Rose. It's his first title defense since winning the belt on Christmas Eve. He promises that it's going to be on heck of a match.
Main Event: Tommy Rich d. Stony Burke w/ the Thesz Press

World Wide Wrestling #2: 1/12/1975
taped from Raleigh, NC
Lanny Poffo d. Snake Brown w/ the Sky Press
NWA United States Champion Harley Race is out for an interview. Race says there's nothing more said than a beaten man. Blackjack Mulligan has been talking a big game about taking this belt away from him. But Mulligan knows deep down that he just isn't good enough to beat Harley Race in the middle of that ring. Race thinks that Mulligan should consider going after the Mid-Atlantic belt or the TV belt. Mulligan might have a chance at winning one of those. Race has plans to get a shot at the World Title and this belt isn't going anywhere until he's realized his ambition of being the World Champion.
Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff d. Mike Simone and Jeff Sword w/ the Russian Bear Hug
Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff are out for an interview. Ivan Koloff says that they aren't afraid of the Road Warriors. They're willing to even face them in the first round of the tournament just to prove that they're the better team in wrestling. He can just picture it now as the Russian team beats the best team that America could bring to the table.
Jimmy Valiant d. Mark Fleming w/ the Sleeper
Bobby Heenan is out for an interview. He has a contract from the NWA for a Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title match. He wants Pepper Gomez to come out here and sign on the dotted line to defend that belt against his man Ray Stevens. Pepper Gomez walks out onto the set. He takes the contract from Heenan and quickly signs it. Just then, Ray Stevens hits him from behind with a chair. Stevens yells into the mic that he wants all the fans to see what the end of this match is going to look like. Stevens drags Gomez down to the ring and rolls him in. Stevens climbs in the ring and starts to pull Gomez to his feet. Gomez catches him with a headbutt right into the gut. Gomez starts to unload on Stevens with some big fists to the face. Gomez sends Stevens into the ropes but Stevens catches him with a clothesline. Stevens quickly hits a suplex and then climbs to the top rope. Stevens hits the Bombs Away from the top rope and then stands over Pepper Gomez talking trash.
Ilio Dipaolo d. Mark Kyle w/ the Airplane Spin
Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Mike and Ted Dibiase are out for an interview. Caudle asks how you can face down a team as fierce as the Vachons. Ted says that he's learned one thing in the world of wrestling and that's that wrestlers love to run their mouth. The Vachons are good at beating people up and making a lot of noise. But how will they fare when the threat of a DQ or count out means that they don't get to take these title belts home? He and his dad have proven themselves to be a top tag team over and over again. He thinks the Vachons are going to learn a little bit of humility against them.
Main Event: NWA Television Title Match: Angelo Poffo (c) vs. Buddy Rose - Double DQ
Poffo and Rose started to brawl outside of the ring. Poffo tossed Rose over the guard rail and into the crowd. Poffo jumped the rail and they started brawling in the crowd. The referee tossed the match as both competitors were out of control. The credits to the show rolled as Poffo and Rose continued to brawl through the crowd.

Can anybody else join your NWA or does you have it by itself. I can run either World Class, Mid South, South East or WWWF for that matter.
