Just read that Lesnar's first title defense will take place against...John Cena??? Yep, after what happened to Cena at Summerslam, who wouldn't buy into him being ready for a rematch??? 5 weeks later??? Last I remember, the best way to "sell" a rematch, both literally and figuratively, was after a highly COMPETITIVE match between both participants. WWE now diminishes what Lesnar did to Cena by making it appear that a mere 5 weeks later, "Superman" has recovered both mentally and physically and is ready to give it another go! I get that there's logically nobody else to face Brock at the moment, but shouldn't they have realized it too? And maybe, just maybe had the Summerslam match be a bit more competitive? Amazing that after building Lesnar as the unstoppable beast, they've reduced him to mere mortal status. In 3 days. For 9.99 a month.

Then again, this is a company that is putting the brakes on the one compelling story they have by sending Dean Ambrose "away" to make a movie...

The only thing I can think of is that Vince got cold feet and decided against a part time champion.

Perhaps Vince wants to see Brock German suplex Cena 16 more times. In all seriousness, a rematch this soon takes away the impact of Brock's win.

I think they're stalling because they don't have any credible challengers for Brock yet. With Bryan out and Punk quitting, there aren't many top level faces in the company. Unless they can build someone up in the next month, the following PPV is probably also going to be Brock vs. Cena or a Brock vs. Undertaker rematch.

Well, since it IS Night Of Champions, they probably had to have Brock make a defense. I would've had him defend against 4 upper-mid-carders in a gauntlet, destroying all of them. Then they could have him off TV until Survivor Series.
Hopefully, the match will consist of Cena getting a little more offense in or trying a different strategy, but still getting his ass handed to him again, because once just wasn't enough for me, LOL.
But I'll tell you what, WWE just got me to watch NOC for sure (I usually skip the non-Big-4 even though I have WWE Network). Well played.

I agree with this. This booking does NOT make Brock look less dominant, it makes Cena look desperate and stupid. He got his ass handed to him in the worst beating of his career. Now he wants to get back in the ring with the monster because he is Cena the unbeatable underdog! He thinks that although he is broken and battered that he still has a chance against the force of nature we have as champion. And when he gets in the ring at NoC...we get SumerSlam 2.0. Brock destroys him AGAIN! Maybe this time Cena gets in 3 or even 4 offensive moves (but not all of the 5 Moves of DOOM!) but it is still a savage mauling. Cena loses, Brock is still champ, Reigns gets another month to build him into a credible contender and everyone that is older than 8 goes home happy.

Don't freak out over this. This is simply a rematch clause type of thing. It would not have been in Cena's "Never Give Up" mind set to just relinquish his title rematch just because he got his ass handed to him.
They need to prolong the feud a little so Brock won't run out of challengers anytime soon.
Besides I'm all up for "Cena Destruction" Round 2.

When I heard about the re-match "What is the point in that ?" . All I can think of is Cena superman build up . Can he beat Brock ? Is Cena as good as he thinks ? Maybe even quit or beat Brock etc ?

I really expected Batista or Orton (even tho he lost to RR) to come out and finally demand their own rematches. But nope. So much for consistency.
Why do Rollins and Nikki Bella trust HHH when he won't even give his best friends title rematches? Shit booking.
Brock as champ and Rollins v. Ambrose (which should be for the IC title) are about the only good things going on in WWE right now.
