Right guys i want to do a complete run throw of the GWF starting at 2087 but how can i do this without rushing to get to some of my favourite Characters for example The Mercenaries the dont become a team to 2095.
Can anyone help?
How do you stop yourself doing this when starting a restart?

I find in the earlier days, you can get by without running a ton of cards per year. In my fed, in the first few years, I ran 12-15 cards per year depending what I wanted to do with the special cards. It seems that's it's only when you get into later years, say 2099, you need to run more cards to let everyone have a fair shake.

If you want to catch up faster, you could use the simulator on COTG Online to run matches quickly, especially low-card matches that have no bearing on a storyline (example: Beast Rider vs. Mutant). Or, just flip a coin for a winner, come up with some dice roll combo (roll 3 dice plus PIN rating = total and the lower total wins the match).
You could also just say "screw the handbooks" and do a fed of different game years together. Perhaps one game year for Invasion years, one game year for WarGames years, and so on.
Just tossing some ideas out there.

I don't have quite the dilemma you do because I've started my fed in the year 2122. However, the rule I'm going to try to abide by is character debuts unless it's within 2-3 years of his actual 'handbook' debut. That way I don't have to wait TOO long to bring in some characters that I'm looking forward to using in my game. *cough Coven Black cough*
