I used to be fond of the Briscoe Brothers, but now they just irritate the hell out of me. Especially after Jay Briscoe's homophobic comments on Twitter. I'd be very happy if I never saw either of them wrestle again. Guessing you're less than thrilled with the NEW ROH champion, then? You're guessing correctly. I think it's horrible that they gave him a second chance with the title, especially considering that he'd already tried to leave the company during his last title reign which was the reason he was stripped of the title to begin with. Why does he deserve a second right with it after that? Plus there are so many wrestlers I'd rather see with the title then him. I'm a big fan of Elgin so naturally I'd rather he not lost it at all but if you absolutely had to give somebody a second ROH title reign why not give it to Adam Cole who's more talented and more interesting then Jay Briscoe could ever hope to be?

I have nothing against Briscoe, but I agree, Cole may have been the wiser choice on many fronts. But after those 2 and AJ Styles, how many guys on the roster are really "world" champion material?

Not gonna start a big rant about whether Briscoe is world champion material, 'cause if I do we'll be here all day and get nowhere. Anyway, aside from Cole and Styles I think Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian are both worthy of the ROH World Title. Kyle O'Reilly already holds the PWG World Title so I figure he's worthy of the ROH title as well. Jimmy Jacobs is due for a run with the ROH World Title too in my opinion, he's very good in the ring and on the mike. Plus there are a bunch of younger guys in ROH they could've built up to World Title status, like Cedric Alexander, Tadarius Thomas or Adam Page. I also think Michael Elgin would've been a fine champion had the booking of his title reign been better.

I also think Michael Elgin would've been a fine champion had the booking of his title reign been better. I had no issue with Elgin as champion & depending on what you read, the visa issue may be the only reason he no longer has the title, so perhaps Briscoe's reign will be a short one... As for Daniels & Kazarian, check out my profile pic, I'm obviously a fan, so to me, they're worthy of any titles. My two cents says ROH has plans for them to hold the tag belts down the road, which would be perfect for me as Fish & O'Reilly do nothing for me personally. I definitely could see Jacobs get a run as champion, as you're correct, he's solid in the ring & on the mic. I don't know if I see Alexander ever moving past TV title status & as long as Thomas & Page are tied up with the Decade, it's going to be difficult for them to leave a mark anytime soon. The sleeper here just may be Silas Young...

With a good build (once his leg is healed obviously) he could easily be a contender. Sad that his title shot against Elgin didn't really seem to get a whole lot of build up. Same goes for Cedric's shot against Elgin on ROH TV. As for Thomas and Page, let's see how the inevitable feud with Decade goes. They're bound to turn on them soon.
