I was itching to bust out the 2087 set for the first time in years the other day & PERHAPS get a GWF fed up & running. Played 2 shows with the cards & was completely dissatisfied with the results, the main reason being the "original" game charts, which IMO have way too many DQ's. Would I be wrong in using the "current" game charts with the 2087 set? And, was there a set of charts issued in between the two? I'm thinking there was and that I also have those charts, but I'm at work & can't confirm nor deny at this point. Any ideas???

I used for the longest time the charts from 2105/2107 and those were in the late 90's and that was for my CotG, LoW & Bootleg Feds. I now use the new full color charts only for my EVOLVE Wrestling fed and if I ever did another fed, I'd use the new charts...

Original black and white charts. IMO these charts leave the results in the hands of the cards more then any others. Just what I like best.

See, I find the original black and white charts do just the opposite. When a wrestler can potentially be disqualified for attempting a death jump seems a bit too much, for me at least.

I do not roll DQ on that instruction. I also roll pin for count out on the OOTR chart.

I have been using the color charts since they came out. I tend to use the most recent charts. At one point I tried using different charts for different feds in my NWA (to try and give each it's own feel), but that started to get confusing as time went on

Another way you can look at the original game charts is that the referee's are extremely strict when it comes to the rules

You gotta keep in mind, even though the game takes place in the future,it was written in 1985. If you go back and watch shows from that era on WWE Network or YouTube, you'll see a plethora of D.Q.s and count outs. Any match that wasn't a jobber squash was just as likely to end with a DQ or CO as a pin or submission. It was just how they kept the top guys looking strong back then. The new charts were written more recently, and so obviously they'll come closer to reflecting today's wrestling.

When I'm playing current years, I use the updated, color charts except for the outside interference chart.
Otherwise I use the original charts.
