Happy to see Dean Ambrose picking up the win... Same goes for The Hooliganz, even though it was at the expense of another cool team, Aries & McGuinness...
Really looking forward to the Last Man Standing Match between DDP and RVD... Let's see them settle this business, once and for all!

R.I.P. Dusty Luckily your exploits will continue to live on in the GWF. (After you return from injury, of course. Sullivan's army needs to pay.)

Global Wrestling Federation AT & T Center San Antonio, Texas Card #27
In Ring: Commissioner Massif is out to address the fans. "Ladies and Gentlemen. There are several situations that I must cover before tonight's action. First, Dusty Rhodes was injured and will miss significant time and as a result he will be unable to defend his GWF Tag Team Title with Blackjack Mulligan within the required time period so regretfully I must strip those two men of the tag titles and the first round of the tag team tournament will be held next card in Oklahoma. The finals will be held at STARRCADE. Secondly, under Kevin Sullivan's direction, Maya Singh caused the previous injury. As a result he will be suspended for 8 cards which should be the same duration as Rhodes' time away from the ring. Lastly I have also ordered a special added attraction for tonight as Blackjack Mulligan will face off against Kevin Sullivan in a Texas Death Match. Thank you and enjoy the matches."
"Professor" Matt Striker pinned Jim Powers with the GOLDEN RULE @ 4:15.
Giant Bernard & King Kong Bundy (w/Bobby Heenan) beat The Hooliganz (Brian Kendrick & Paul London) when Bundy pinned London with a RUNNING POWER SLAM @ 11:51.
The Purple Haze (w/Kevin Sullivan) beat "Wildfire" Tommy Rich with OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE @ 8:45. -Sullivan threw white powder into the eyes of Rich. Blackjack Mulligan was late to the scene and used a 2 by 4 to clear the ring.
The Colony (Silver Ant & Soldier Ant) beat "Double A" Austin Aries & Nigel McGuinness when Aries tapped to the CHIKARA SPECIAL @ 12:03.
Colt Cabana beat "The Hammer" Greg Valentine (w/Capt. Lou Albano) with the CHICAGO CRAB @ 12:35.
"Ravishing" Rick Rude (w/Bobby Heenan) beat Ox Baker (w/Ted DiBiase) with a PILEDRIVER @ 11:01.
-TEXAS DEATH MATCH- Blackjack Mulligan beat Kevin Sullivan with a LARIAT @ 8:25. -A brutal bloody contest. Mulligan was on the verge of being knocked cold but rallied to grab a metal pipe from Sullivan and use it against him. He then finished him off with a huge clothesline for the win.
-GWF UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH - LAST MAN STANDING- Rob Van Dam (c) beat "Diamond" Dallas Page @ 20:51 with a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH thru a table. -A tremendous match that saw RVD fly high to get the win. He performed a spectacular Splash on to the prone DDP on a table to end things. But both men got in plenty of offense. (10 to 7 tokens) After the match, Van Dam was led to the back by a jubilant Alfonso and he paused and nodded towards his fallen former partner before he left.
-MONEY IN THE BANK MATCH- WINNER GETS GWF TITLE MATCH AT STARR-CADE- "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (w/Virgil) defeated The Crusher, Iron Shiek (w/Nikita Breznikov), "Your Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle, Dean Ambrose and Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso) @ 34:15. -A wild encounter that saw Angle brutally suplex The Crush onto a bent ladder. But the finish saw Ambrose knock Sabu off the ladder while Vigil set up a new one for DiBiase. Shiek then blasted Virgil but didn't get back in time to grab DiBiase who unhooked the briefcase to secure the title shot.

Global Wrestling Federation Chesapeake Energy Arena Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Card #28 In Ring: GWF announcer Craig DeGeorge introduces Capt. Lou Albano."Mr. Albano, I think that it goes without saying that this has been a tough year for you considering your inability to guide a team to the GWF tag team championship." Albano responds, "Hold on a minute. You wait right there. I am the guiding light. The manager of champions and the reason that I do not have the tag team champions under my tutelage is because the individuals I advised failed. Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito simply didn't care for one another. The Kiwi Sheepherders were too wild and couldn't take direction. Greg Valentine and Angelo Mosca while they are great individual competitors, never truly meshed as a team. But now I have finally found the answer to my prayers. I have found the team that will win the GWF Tag Team Titles and that's because they are blood, they are family and there is no stronger bond. I give you "Luscious" Johnny and "Handsome" Jimmy - The Valiant Brothers!" "That's right daddy from New York City, New York. And when this tournament is said and done at STARRCADE, Craig DeGeorge you will owe me an apology because I will be the manager of the GWF Tag Team champions!" Jim Powers beat Mr. X with a POWERSLAM @ 4:25. -Tougher match than expected as the masked man got the most offensive all year in on the young Powers. The Iron Sheik (w/Nikita Breznikov) defeated Virgil (w/Ted DiBiase) with a ROLL-UP @ 6:51. -Sheik challenged Virgil after his interference cost him a GWF title shot last card. He controlled much of the match and then DiBiase stood up on the apron. He grabbed the Sheik and Virgil charged but crushed DiBiase instead. Sheik quickly rolled up the bodyguard for the three. -GWF Tag Team Tournament- First Round-Nigel McGuinness & "Double A" Austin Aries beat Kevin Sullivan & The Purple Haze by DISQUALIFICATION @ 10:25 when Haze used a Chair. -Sullivan and Haze continued their assault after the bell until Bakcjack Mulligan hit the scene with his new tag team partner Stan Hansen. The heels made a hasty retreat to the locker room. -GWF Tag Team Tournament - First Round-The Colony (Silver Ant & Soldier Ant) battled The Crusher & "Wildfire" Tommy Rich to a DOUBLE-DISQUALIFICATION @ 12:52. -All four men stormed the ring and the officials could not restore order so he was forced to call for the bell. Rich was thrown to the outside and Silver Ant produced a silver pair of brass knuckles from his tights. He landed a strong right to Lisowski and sent him slumped into the corner. Just then Fire Ant hit the ring swinging a chair! He cleared the ring and checked on Crusher who had been opened up. "Your Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle pinned Colt Cabana with the ANGLE SLAM @ 7:55. -GWF Tag Team Title Tournament- First Round-"Handsome" Jimmy Valiant & "Luscious" Johnny Valiant (w/Capt. Lou Albano) beat The Hooliganz (Paul London & Brian Kendrick) when Johnny pinned London with the SPINNING NECKBREAKER @ 16:35. -GWF Tag Team Title Tournament- First Round-Blackjack Mulligan & Stan "The Lariat" Hansen defeated "The Genius" Lanny Poffo & "Professor" Matt Striker when Hanse pinned Poffo with THE LARIAT @ 9:15. -Triple Threat Match- GWF US Title Shot-Sabu (w/Bill Alfonso) defeated Dean Ambrose & "Diamond" Dallas Page when Sabu pinned Ambrose with the TRIPLE JUMP MOONSAULT @ 18:24. -GWF United States champion Rob Van Dam walked down the aisle to observe this one a bit closer. A few near falls for each wrestler though. Page hit the Diamond Cutter on Ambrose but the pin was broken up by Alfonso who unexpectedly grabbed his leg and out it on the ropes. Page argued but was wiped out by a Sabu leg lariat. He then went off the ropes to gain the fall. RVD then joined his manager and his stablemate Sabu. Van Dam raised his hand and then kicked him in the groin and walked off, doing his self point.

Ha! Looks like Jim Powers vs. Mr. X mania is sweeping the nation!
The Triple Threat main event was off the chain! Loved seeing Sabu win the chance to meet RVD for the U.S. title... And the response by Van Dam was a perfect way to lead into the encounter...
The tournament for the tag straps is shaping up nicely... Unfortunate that Blackjack and The American Dream were forced to vacate... It was great watching Blackjack get some measure of revenge against Sullivan, but I don't think almost debts are square yet...
Also on the previous show... It was cool seeing DiBiase win the Money in the Bank... Gonna make for a potentially vicious matchup between him and King Kong Bundy at STARRCADE... Wild!

Global Wrestling Federation FedEx Forum Memphis, Tennessee Card #29
In Ring: GWF announcer Craig DeGeorge welcomes Bill Alfonso. "Mr.Alfonso I think it's clear that you have a bit of a problem on your hands as both of the men you represent will do battle for the GWF United States Title at STARRCADE." "Listen Daddy. There is absolutely no problem and I'll prove it you and everyone here tonight. Come on out gentlemen."
Sabu is introduced first
and then the United States Champion Rob ... Van .... Dam!
"Now RVD, you realize that when you agreed to work together again that this match with Sabu was inevitable. I mean when you look back at this first season of the GWF there is one man that has beaten you not once, but twice and that's Sabu." RVD smirks, "Yeah Fonzie, I knew that at some point we'd be back in a ring together and while technically you may be right and while Sabu may be one of the only few wrestlers that I actually respect in the ring there is no way that he'll get this gold from me at STARRCADE. Because I'm...Rob...Van...Dam"
Alfonso responds,"Well, it's that kind of confidence that I love. But you both have to understand that I will not be out there during the match and that whatever happens we can continue our working relationship. Because just imagine what it would be like if you two chose to team back up again - the GWF Tag Team titles would be locked up in solitary. Now please for me shake hands."
RVD and Sabu stared at each other and then moved closer. Neither man extended a hand but rather both glared at each other. RVD pointed to himself and Sabu pointed towards the ceiling and then a brawl started! Both men tore into each other as Sabu got the upper hand. He tossed Van Dam to the outside and then leapt off the ropes into the aisle. GWF officials were then out to break up the scene.
Jim Powers pinned "Genius" Lanny Poffo with a SUPLEX @ 8:54.
The Hooliganz (Brian Kendrick & Paul London) defeated The Colony (Silver Ant & Soldier Ant) when Kendrick pinned Silver with SLICED BREAD #2 @ 11:35. -The end result saw Fire Ant out at ringside who provided the distraction of Silver Ant to give Kendrick the opening he needed. After the match Fire grabbed a mic, "You know you realize that you guys have absolutely no right to refer to yourselves as The Colony because everything you stand for is the opposite of what we founded our group to be about. So it's simple - at STARRCADE I challenge both of you to not only a LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH but the winners get to use the name The Colony." Silver Ant responds - "OK. But you must have forgotten that you need a partner." "Yeah I called someone up that you both know pretty well - WORKER ANT. Worker emerges from the back to join Fire's side.
"Diamond" Dallas Page pinned "Professor" Matt Striker with the DIAMOND CUTTER @ 5:15.
"Your Olympic Hero" Kurt Angle defeated Dean Ambrose with a MOONSAULT @ 7:07.
Kevin Sullivan & The Purple Haze FOUGHT "Wildfire" Tommy Rich & The Crusher to a DOUBLE-DISQUALIFICATION @ 9:45. -Wild brawl that spilled to the outside. All four men used chairs and tables and objects of all kinds. Th ref had no choice in this one but to call it.
The Iron Sheik (w/Nikita Breznikov) beat Colt Cabana with a KICK WITH THE LOADED BOOT @ 6:15.
-GWF Tag Team Tournament- Semi-Finals- "Handsome" Jimmy Valiant & "Luscious" Johnny Valiant (w/Capt. Lou Albano) beat Blackjack Mulligan & Stan "The Lariat" Hansen when Johnny pinned Mulligan with a SPINNING NECKBREAKER @ 11:45. -The Valiants used interference from their manager and Kevin Sullivan who used the Golden Spike on Mulligan setting up the finisher.
Ted DiBiase took the mic before the match. "There really is no reason for me to put myself at risk in this match as I must prepare to beat that overweight overrated so called champion King Kong Bundy at STARR-CADE so in place I present my latest acquisition - The Swiss Superman, Antonio Cesaro!"
-Six Man Elimination Match- King Kong Bundy, Giant Bernard, & "Ravishing" Rick Rude (w/Bobby Heenan) beat Virgil, Ox Baker & "Swiss Superman" Antonio Cesaro (w/Ted DiBiase) @ 20:15.
Elim #1: Bundy pinned Virgil with the AVALANCHE @ 4:46. Elim #2: Baker pinned Bernard with HEART PUNCH @ 10:35. Elim #3: Cesaro pinned Rude with VERY EUROPEAN UPPERCUT @ 14:51. Elim #4: Bundy pinned Baker with RUNNING POWER SLAM @ 17:10. Elim #5: Bundy beat Cesaro by COUNTOUT @ 20:15.

Really enjoyed the win by The Hooliganz... The introduction of Worker Ant at the end of the match adds a new dimension to The Colony War... Can't wait to see this one settled...
Brilliant acquisition by the Million Dollar Man... Unfortunate that the addition of Cesaro could not make the difference in that six-man elimination bout against the Heenan Family... Does DiBiase have another trick up his sleeve for when he faces Bundy at STARR-CADE?
Which brings me to one of my favorite duos of all-time... RVD and Sabu... When these two go head-to-head, you can bet it's going to be one of the most brutal encounters ever seen... But, when the smoke clears and the winner is pronounced, I predict that they will cooperatively set their sights on tag team gold... When that happens, every other team on the roster had better look out... Death comes from above!
Awesome stuff!
