Hey guys, we just dropped the announcement on the View from Filsinger Headquarters. This summer's convention is moving to a new city and a new month. Galacticon will be August 14-16 in Cleveland, OH.
This summer's convention will be part of a larger wrestling themed festival. It will have all the events you have come to love at GalactiCon, but a ton more. Keep an eye out for the big announcement in the next couple weeks with more details. But go ahead and save the date on your calendar. You are going to want to be there!

I am going to try and go to GalactiCon this year which would be my first Galacticon.
If I go, I'll probably get to Cleveland at least a day early and see the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and go to the Yankees-Indians game on Thursday August 13th (I have been to 17 MLB stadiums, but not to Cleveland yet.)

And don't forget the most important building in Cleveland, the A Christmas Story house.

I am intrigued by the "wrestling related festival".

What happened to having it the first weekend in July? A number of conflicts. Its a change, but will be worthwhile. Trust me, make your plans!

The great news about this is that it should make plane travel easier. No more flying into Buffalo (expensive) and then driving forever.

I am a big coaster fan and I saw today that Cedar Point [the Roller Coaster Capital of the World) is only an hour away from Cleveland. Yeah, I think if I go to Galacticon in August then I am definitely going to Ohio a couple of days early.
