How do you handle the beginning of new game edition sets?

My first card of the year is a Super card and I just jump right into all the new major fueds. I might save some of the big singles matchups and have some tag team or Trios matches with the new factions. I make sure all the new cards are on that first show in some capacity.
I follow everything by the book to start the year. I may deviate over the course of the year, but work my way back before the new year starts. The past 2 sets I actually had a few cards left in the previous year when the new set came out and that allowed me to plan for the transition a bit better.
