WWEs recent activity-aggressively pursuing indy guys who have made any kind of name for themselves, booking NXT shows in the same towns when ROH runs shows, and looking for "working relationships" with indy companies-is starting to remind me of the early '80s. Worrisome.

Worrisome. You raise a very good point, one that was echoed by the Solomonster Sounds Off podcast a few months ago. The similarities between the early 80's and what is/may be going on now is eerily similar.

Just read an interesting story online claiming that WWE may have contacted WWN regarding a "working relationship"..stay tuned... I just read several updates on that topic and nothing is official, but if this deal happens, how will this effect the deal between WWN and Filsinger Games... If Figures toy company can release an ROH Kevin Steen action figure based on a deal signed BEFORE Steen signed with WWE (which apparently upset uncle Vince terribly), then why wouldn't Filsinger Games still be allowed to make cards for wrestlers / companies that THEY already have under contract? We still get cards for all those who are now signed with WWE based on those contracts, so hopefully, nothing will change.

Worrisome. It damn sure is. Vince nearly ruined the business 15 years ago, let's hope he doesn't try again.

I think he's hearing the buzz about promotions like ROH and NJPW while his product is floundering (relatively speaking). Gotta crush these upstarts and exploit their resources. Greedy, imperialist pig! Sounds like hyperbole but is it really...?

Maybe he realizes the ONLY things he has going for him right now are 2 upstarts named Rollins & Ambrose... "Hey, why not take all the pieces off the board so there is no game...hmmm...get my son-in-law on the phone, I've got an idea...."

Can't believe I forgot to mention Kevin Owens, also an upstart & soon to be the most controversial piece of plastic in action figure history!

The fact WWE is upset about a Steen figure coming out is just silly. WWE will make much, much more on the Owens figure than whatever small amount ROH and the toy company make on the Steen figure.

Ratings dip, Vince gets insecure. Acts irrational. Just like most megalomaniacs.
I've got some things to think about. If WWE and WWN are, as reported, trying to set up a pipeline to circumvent ROH/TNA from getting indy talent signed, I have to really question whether I want to support WWN/EVOLVE anymore. I already refuse to give WWE any of my money.

No ill will whatsoever with WWN or EVOLVE, but I hope they think long and hard about the possible ramifications of making a deal with the Devil...
