Interesting to see Jeff Jarrett back in TNA again and he was promoting GFW and will be wrestling for TNA(At least one match) so is there joining forces? Merging?
ALSO Appearing/returning on Impact was Matt Morgan Vader Hernandez

Sounds like both companies grasping at straws...

Sounds like both companies grasping at straws... Although, walking past the TV and seeing JJ in the ring was the most intriguing thing I've seen on a TNA show since the Wolves debuted...

This reeks of desperation by both sides. Can't wait for the first TNA/GFW house show that draws 150 people.

I am by no means a TNA "fan", but I personally would hate to see them go under, deserved or not, for the mere fact that it would feed the machine that is WWE...Imagine how even more monotonous & boring Raw & Smackdown would become with yet another "competitor" closing it's doors. The lack of competition for WWE is the single biggest problem with the wrestling business today.

The lack of competition for WWE is the single biggest problem with the wrestling business today. I am not advocating for TNA or any promotion to shut its doors. But honestly TNA is not any real sort of competitor to WWE. I do agree the WWE needs some real competition, but TNA is not it (or ROH, LU, etc.). Truthfully the closest thing WWE has to competition is UFC.

The better word for the different companies is alternative. They are not competition, at least not in the big picture, but they are an alternative to WWE. And that is really all we can hope for. It will be next to impossible for a wrestling promotion to be competition.

Vince Russo had some interesting takes on YouTube about this so-called merger. Especially his observations about the relationship between Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter.

But there HAS to be alternatives to them.
