There are a few wrestlers that might work, but I can definitely see your reasoning.

As a purist when it comes to my COTG play, I shudder a bit when I hear this. However, as Tom always likes to say, its up to you promoter It's unlikely that this will happen in reality. I've been nosing around the COTG sets but I'm maybe thinking it's too bonkers for me. I think it'll be a case of sticking with 'real' wrestling for now! LOL, because real wrestling isn't bonkers in its own right.

Well UK wrestling has always felt a little more realistic.

I find with COTG I can do whatever I want, mold the characters how I see them.. With real wrestlers cards I could see the appeal of acting like a real company and using those guys to be more realistic but I also find it a bit limiting
I would say if you play online, to try 2087 COTG and if it's not your thing, its only $15 and you can use guys like Star Warrior, Commander Sam, Thantos in Legends.. Just tweak the bios to fit real life

I always have enjoyed teaming Sam with Duggan as Team USA.

The COTG storyline is excellent though. Read the wiki online and learn a little about the sets. Personally, I enjoyed starting in 2087. So many wonderful characters. I did recently pick up 2119 though, and it is fun as well!

Just tweak the bios to fit real life I think with Legends, I still do what I want, creating wild character arcs built on existing personalities, especially with some of the wrestlers who pre date the 'golden age' of wrestling and therefore were not exposed to the TV razzmatazz.

I'm going to get the 2125 starter set. Does this include 54 cards or am I wrong!? Would anyone recommend other sets to supplement this one? I'm looking for a wide range of wrestlers from man eventers to ham n eggers.
Cheerz!

I'd suggest FTR for some nice low carders.
