GWF Planetary Preview
With your hosts, Dragonmaster and Vanity
Welcome to another edition of the GWF Planetary Preview. I am Dragonmaster, here as always with my broadcast colleague Vanity, and we have arrived at the final GWF Holovision broadcast before our next Supercard, Galactic Warfare. And what a show we've got lined up!
That's right. We have a huge main event featuring 3/4 of the main event of our Supercard, with GWF Champion Endgame teaming with Hector to face the Twin Towers of Doom.
And you have to wonder if Paganax will see his way into this match somehow, but I highly doubt it. Drury seems to want to keep his new guy fresh enough to last in the Elimination Match.
Oh, stop it. You continue to throw around your crazy conspiracies about our Commissioner without any kind of proof. For all you know, he could be helping Paganax adjust to the GWF style, and letting a star of his caliber debut on top, like he deserves.
He may be a big star in aCe, but this is the GWF. You need to work your way up if you want to succeed, not just get immediately catapulted to the top. It's no secret that Drury wants to take over the GWF, and by having control of the prestigious Galaxian Belt, he will, in his mind, have all the power in the GWF, because he holds the highest position in both the wrestler hierarchy, and an exalted position in the GWF Booking Committee, both at the same time. In any case, Drury's not gonna let his ticket to the Heavyweight title waste energy before the big show, and is just gonna sit back, and watch the competition take each other out.
Moving on, before you tick me off further with your conspiracy theories, another match for tonight announced last week is a Triple Threat Match for the #1 Contender's spot to face Patch for the Heavy Metal Championship.
Originally, it was going to be Swarm facing Patch for the title, and Retribution facing off against Symbiosis, but after Retribution defeated Patch last week, it was decided that a match tonight would name a definitive contender to Patch's title, in a Patch-chosen Street Suicide Match. Also announced for Galactic Warfare last week was the anticipated encounter between the debuting Coven Black and Ensor. With last week's matches out of the way, before we move onto the other matches we have on the card for this week, including our usual Infinity Challenge Rundown, I was able to catch up with Anivar last week for a few words on his test match for Tauran, along with what he told him afterwards, and this is what I got:
"I said it before to Tauran, and I'll say it one more time, if you want to survive here in the GWF, you need aggression. It's not about pleasing the fans, it's about being the best, and crushing everyone in your way. Also, I'll let you in on a little secret: As Tauran's body ages down, he's more susceptible to rookie mistakes, because his mind is telling him 'Hey, my body's able to do more things. I'm going to make the most of it.' Tauran's gonna need to pull off every trick that his younger body will allow him if he even hopes to defeat me."
Strong words from "The Enforcer." We will now move on to the Infinity Challenge Rundown for this week: Our first match is Panther Warrior vs. Bloodline. Bloodline's really going to need to buckle down, and focus on this encounter, because he is currently part of a different uphill battle than his encounter with Encubus.
No kidding. Last week was a slight positive for Dialectas, but he is still quite behind in the Infinity Challenge. I don't think Bloodline will be able to focus on this match, considering his big encounter with Encubus at Galacic Warfare.
You've got that right, Vanity. If you're not aware, Encubus and Bloodline are scheduled to face each other at Galactic Warfare in what's said to be the final nail in Divided We Fall. The two sons of GWF Legends got into a confrontation backstage last week, and Mother Superior laid down the challenge to Bloodline, which was accepted. Can Bloodline stay focused tonight, or will he let this big match get to him?
The final two matches tonight are taken up by two of one-on-one matches between the members of the two makeshift teams in the Infinity Challenge.
Mantis of We Can See All faces fellow AniMan Plethador, and Oracle faces the land of AniMen Land and Sea, Malkuth. If Dialectas can sweep tonight's show, he will be in a better position for Infinity Complex than he is now, and by the looks of tonight's line-up, I say he can get it done. Now we'll move on to the main show. First and foremost, we will see a non-title match between Women's Champion Strafe against Phantasy. Strafe was sent by the Overmaster to make Phantasy pay for some transgression that she caused in the partnership between the Aethrans and Martial Law.
If I was Phantasy, I'd be worried. Last time we saw Strafe, she put Sultana out of action in the Lepus Stun Rod Match by beating her with her own broken spear. Rumor going around is that Strafe is STILL carrying around that thing as a trophy for her domination.
I wouldn't be surprised if Strafe used that thing on Phantasy during the match to try to take her out as well. And finally tonight, we have another big rumor going around that the Dark Menace will reveal his new Covert Operators before their encounter with the Gladiators at Galactic Warfare.
Whoever he has lined up had better step up to the challenge. The Aethrans are no push-overs, and if Menace wants to beat the Tag Team Champions, he needs a pretty darn good team. And let's not forget about what Menace did to GET this match in the first place: Holding those assailants against the Aethrans for Commissioner Drury to put the Interplanetary Championship on the line against Havoc in what is confirmed to be the return of the Fight the Power Match. Menace is definitely making enemies out of this powerful alliance.
Agreed 100%. Well, there you have it, fans. This has been our Planetary Preview. Up next is the final Holovision episode before the Supercard, so don't go away!
