Former NASA astronaut and Democratic US Senator from Ohio , John Glenn, has passed away at the age of 95. He died at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, according to local newspaper the Columbus Dispatch. On February 20, 1962 Glenn flew the NASA mission Friendship 7, becoming the first American to orbit the Earth.

In addition to his many life accomplishments, John Glenn was Red Sox legend Ted Williams' squadron leader during the Korean war. RIP to a genuine hero.

DAYS’S JOSEPH MASCOLO PASSES AWAY AT 87
Joseph Mascolo, who played the iconic Stefano DiMera on DAYS on and off since 1982, passed away on December 8 after battling Alzheimer’s disease for many years.

TV icon Alan Thicke has died, TMZ is reporting.
According to TMZ, Thicke had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center around noon Tuesday, December 13th, and pronounced dead there.

Bernard Fox, known for playing Dr. Bombay on Bewitched and for roles in The Mummy and Titanic, has died of heart failure at a hospital in Van Nuys, CA. He was 89.

Though I saw him first as Dr. Bombay I will always remember his as Colonel Crittendon on Hogan's Heroes.

Craig Sager’s brave fight with leukemia ended Thursday, when he passed away at the age of 65.
Sager has long been a staple of the NBA sidelines, wearing his trademark loud suits, and has worked in broadcasting since 1972. Sager inspired countless viewers with his unflinching fight with the disease, which was diagnosed in 2014.
“Craig Sager was a beloved member of the Turner family for more than three decades and he has been a true inspiration to all of us,” Turner president David Levy said in a statement. “There will never be another Craig Sager. His incredible talent, tireless work ethic and commitment to his craft took him all over the world covering sports.”
Sager was known for his flashy wardrobe, but inside NBA circles, he carried a reputation as a tireless worker when it came to improving his craft. He was universally respected among players and coaches in the league.

Zsa Zsa Gabor, whose 60-year career of playing herself helped paved the way for today’s celebrity-obsessed culture, has died. She was 99.
Publicist Ed Lozzi confirmed to Variety that Gabor died Sunday in her Bel Air mansion. She had been on life support for the last five years, and according to TMZ, which first reported the news, she died of a heart attack.

Martin Henderson AN Actor who was injured during cruel ‘dwarf tossing’ event has died aged 42
A dwarf, who shot to fame in 2011 after being cruelly tossed by a rugby fan in a bar, has died aged 42. Martin Henderson, who played a goblin in Harry Potter, was left with serious injuries following the prank by a stranger while he was out celebrating his 37th birthday.
