FED FLASHBACK
Episode 5 - RENEWED RIVALRIES - Titan Sportatorium:
(Memories of a heated card on Titan. Thantos taking on Omega’s so called best friend, Commander Sam, whilst sending one of his trusted lieutenants the Executioner to battle Star Warrior. Omega is trying to fight the ageing process by continuing to throw himself into the action. He is billed to face the dangerous terrorist Comrade Terror. The Titans are under the spotlight in their home stadium renewing their feud with Krakan’s Society of Death. Johnny Rocket tells the viewers that he was at this very event as a budding journalist trying to break into wrestling. “I used to wait for hours to try and grab interviews with wrestlers and I would publish my magazines with results and anything else that I felt was important enough to report. They were tough days and I wasn’t quite as a wealthy as I am now but I loved the lifestyle and am so lucky to of succeeded. I remember the likes of the FDF and the Titans couldn’t be more supportive but when I tried to speak with Thantos he just looked right through me”)
OPENING SEGMENTS
Thantos spot “Omega is a confidence trickster. He gained my trust to use me and help promote his useless son but I saw through it all. What happened on that bloody night just gave me the final nudge I needed to break the code and move on. In a way I should be thanking Polarity for helping me to smell Omega’s true intentions. It stank and now I am liberated and ready to lead the villain team in crushing the vile FDF and all the other insignificant hero teams hanging onto their coat tails. They will all keep paying for Omega’s mistakes”; Vanity gets shot down in flames for trying to spread rumours about Beast-Rider and animal cruelty claims. He is made to look a fool as Beast-Rider says Vanity’s ring entrance fur attire is made with animal skins from the Andromeda galaxy. Worried about the repercussions (and rumours of wrestlers from Andromeda entering the GWF next year) Vanity makes a grovelling apology. Beast-Rider sees through his apology and is relishing the opportunity to punish Vanity in the show opener.
THE MATCHES
Thantos steamrolls Commander Sam. For someone so apparently evil Thantos doesn’t indulge violent offence instead preferring precision attacks. Sam, as always, wrestles with great heart but is severely weakened by MASTERLOCK. That he actually forced a break by getting to the ropes was a feat itself but Thantos slapped it back on again shortly after and made sure they were in the centre of the ring leading to a quick a submission. Sam could barely walk from the ring with Star Warrior running out to assist him. Thantos pointed at his old partner and said “you’re next”! In a moment of weakness Star Warrior turns and initially moves to confront Thantos but starts to think better of as he remembers his troubled run as Avenging Warrior and the poor results that came with it. Bottling his rage he turns his attention back onto Sam and helps his buddy up the runway with the laugh of Thantos niggling away in the background
Brute and Massacre defeat tag champions, the Greek Gods, after Massacre uses DECAPITATOR on Actagon. Continuing the onslaught the two Gladiators grab the belts and knock down Proteus leaving Actagon alone in the ring and start taking it in turns to come down on him with knee drops right on his head. Suddenly a massive cheer goes up and Wolf tears up the runway and clears the ring. Brute and Massacre leave content with the damage they have done. Actagon got away with one tonight as it’s reported his injuries are minor. The Greek Gods also keep the tag titles as the belt change is not acknowledged by the GWF. The belts get quietly returned to the Gods because it was not a sanctioned title match. When news of this reaches Aethra there is uproar (in my timeline the Gladiators were not to be denied for long as they soon did officially win the belts)
Star Warrior is far too good for the Executioner pinning him after a some combo punches. Fulfilling outcome but Star Warrior knows there are many more battles to come. As he left the ring celebrating Star Warrior smelt a rat and realised the Evil Ones we’re lying in wait behind the runway door to attack and injure him. He avoids the potential carnage by jumping the barriers and leaving through the crowd exit with many happy fans more than willing to assist his escape
Krakan and Mutant beat Lord Nexus and Pulsar to dampen the home crowd spirits. Krakan overpowers poor Pulsar. Despite the young Titan’s best efforts he gets nailed with FALLING FACE SLAM
Omega defeated Comrade Terror by DQ. It’s a fast start from Omega that gets the crowd on it’s feet but his ageing body soon starts to slow him down and the tempo fizzles out. Omega tries to combat the exhaustion but Comrade Terror takes control and unleashes a barrage of brutality which ends with him throwing Omega outside. Omega tries to put up a fight but is violently thrown into the protective metal barriers. Comrade Terror then grabs an object with which to strike Omega but the ref gets to the bottom of it and calls a DQ. It’s a popular victory for the old master but not without cost as he hobbles from the scene
Vanity outwits Beast-Rider using PULVERIZER for a quick win. Before things start Vanity rants about the dirty animal at ringside. He demands that it is put into quarantine. Under orders from the ref some security manhandle the beast away. The worry for his missing pet clearly bothers Beast-Rider who gets caught cold almost immediately and loses the match within three moves. Blink and you’d of missed it.
AFTERMATH
Star Warrior warns Thantos about his dirty tricks and says FDF mantra is to restore the code. “Everything he says is wrong, I used to look up to him and will always cherish the time we spent as partners. I am not ashamed to say I thought of him as a brother but that is now in the past. Tonight I showed I can fight alone and took out the Executioner.” Thantos ignores the comments about the match and seems more angry that Star Warrior showed up at the end of his match with Commander Sam. He accuses Star Warrior of not being able to cope with not being in the limelight and having to make sure he was part of the biggest match of the night. He is not surprised this happened as he is Omega’s son and being a self obsessed brat is an unavoidable part of Star Warrior’s genetic make up. Interviewer says to Lord Nexus that the Titans really stretched themselves to try and impress the home support even though their match ended in defeat. Pulsar who is standing with him chimes in “maybe sub consciously we push ourselves harder but I don’t think that’s really the case. I am always primed and ready. We are Titans and we always give 100% whenever and wherever we wrestle. Unfortunately tonight could of had a better outcome but we gave everything. Next time will be different”. Biggest cheer though goes to Lord Nexus who boldly pledges support to Omega and the FDF “these dark times are a shared experience for the heroes and we stand together as we pick through the remnants of a broken code. The Titans will fight side by side with the other teams and help rid the GWF from villains like Thantos and Krakan. We also want to try and make our Titans fans proud by winning some gold”; Commander Sam apologised to his team mates for his loss but his old friend, Omega, tells him “there is no disgrace in that, you fought with great heart against a dangerous enemy and that’s what matters. The FDF are honoured to have someone with the experience and determination of Sam on their side”.
NEXT EPISODE
Johnny is asking fans to vote on what they’d like to see in upcoming episodes. There are so many matches and shows we thought were lost to the archives and more are being uncovered all the time, He even reads an email that he received from one fan. “As a young fan that grew up with GWF the days when the code had just been broken were my favourite. Star Warrior, Wolf and Lord Nexus were my favourite heroes and probably the three most popular guys. My question is ... did they ever all team up together to take on the top villains? Imagine a match where they face say Thantos, Comrade Terror and the Executioner. This would be awesome to see.” Johnny responds that he doesn’t know but will set his team of researchers on it to see if anything like that ever happened. They will leave no stone unturned in their quest. He also says there are many requests for War Games material to be shown.

Card 609 – Achernar Technodrome:
Titan Death Match, Brute and Massacre overcome New Order. Brute and Massacre looking to try and rebuild credibility with Thakur by beating old rivals New Order. They restore some pride with a forceful show of power and violence which culminates with BRUTE FORCE putting Mace down for three. They then continue pounding on both Mace and Dreggs before Destructon 3000 enters the ring and uses his robotic strength to overpower the Gladiators before any serious damage is done. More misery for New Order who are really feeling the pressure. They slip to the bottom of the tag rankings pile even below the Cosmic Rangers!
Dragonmaster beat Bishop Hell by DQ. There was a humorous fan in the front row that irritated Bishop Hell. He was standing there with binoculars shouting out “I can’t believe what I’ve seen. Thank you Bishop Hell”. Naturally Bishop Hell wanted to know what the fuss was about (not being used to any cheering). The fan explained “someone told me if I go to tonight’s matches I will be able to spot something extremely rare. And I did. Bishop Hell wrestling a singles match!” Bishop Hell just about resisted getting into a scrape with him. Steam was literally coming off him but instead he took his anger out on Dragonmaster and unleashed HELLFIRE early. The Overlord trying to make sure his man came away with victory with a key distraction but unbelievably Dragonmaster kicks out and evades defeat. Bishop Hell continues to boil with rage. He wrestles on for a few minutes but his ringside buddy keeps goading him and Bishop Hell can’t ignore it any longer and tangles with him causing the DQ. The poor fan’s legs go to jelly as Bishop Hell threatens to burn his face. Several brave companions come to the guys aid forming a protective barrier and Bishop Hell backs off after the Overlord convinces him to leave. Just as well as the punishment for putting his hands on a fan would of been very heavy. Pulsar Prime calls Bishop Hell a coward for trying to set upon a fan who was just having a bit of fun and dares Bishop Hell to face him instead in singles action (if the Overlord will allow it)
Janus beats Heracles by DQ. It’s a bit of a slog. Neither really showing off their repertoire. Morpheus seems to be bored of the match and decides to try and make things more interesting by doing things like grabbing Heracles ankles everytime he propelled himself off the ropes. Heracles increases in his anger and decides to go after Morpheus during the match slamming him into a bot that was serving drinks. The fans loved it but the ref didn’t. Heracles grimaces as he hears the final verdict and shoots the ref a frosty glance and mutters that the chap must be a villain sympathiser. He stomps off shouting “where’s that bot? I need a drink”
Dreadnaught and Vigilante match ends in double DQ after a violent battle. Krakan trying to get inside Dreadnaught’s head by projecting images of the Transevolver and his blood enemy Soldier of Fortune at ringside. He then adds further fuel to the fire during the match by waving the flag of Cygnus in front of Dreadnaught’s face and then tearing it into pieces. Dreadnaught reacts by smashing Vigilante’s rifle to bits at the climax. There are broken pieces strewn everywhere with some fans grabbing these as souvenirs. Krakan calls Dreadnaught’s actions a huge insult to the Hitmen
Darkos crushes the Creeper. Darkos is on home turf but still doesn’t get the rub as the local fans cheer for Creeper. Creeper seems excited and makes a wild charge but meets the thick end of Darkos’ boot and drops like a sack of spuds. Within a few moves Darkos is performing FINAL CURTAIN to win. Darkos slams the crowd for not supporting one of their own. “What more do I have to do? One of the greatest actors and now wrestlers in the galaxy and they still lack respect”. Darkos continues to be sour about the hostility of his homecoming the next day as he cancels a play he was planning to host about the Assassin youth movement and refuses to refund tickets
Deadly Challenge beat the Cosmic Rangers despite one or two hairy moments. Cosmic Rangers ride into town with deluded egos (still hanging off a non important DQ success over the Mercenaries) and actually make a fight of it in the earlier stages but Deadly Challenge is fresh from OTB glory. They are not going to win any wrestling awards but the crude powerful attacks show Deadly Challenge is now a force to be reckoned with. Killing Machine uses ZERO HOUR on a hapless Astro Turk to get the job done. Bart tries to make a pin save but then runs away when Thunder enters the ring to cut him off. Cosmic Rangers continue to remain firmly rooted to the GWF undercard. Those bumps will hurt in the cold light of day.
Card 610 – Achernar Technodrome:
Barbed Wire Cage Match, Killing Machine defeated Exo-King. Exo-King trying to build in rep in barb wire matches after a noteworthy run but not firing on all cylinders tonight. He struggles against Killing Machine whose body suit seems to bring an advantage as it takes longer for him to bleed. Then when trying to match power against power Exo-King finds himself coming off second best which is a rare feat. Killing Machine just too strong in this one and prevails. Puzzling that the Gladiators continue to sign such brutal matches outside of the boundaries of the Civil War especially considering Thakur continues to rule them out of the belt picture but Killing Machine escapes injury and maintains a hot run of form by winning this battle (Exo-King injured 4 cards)
Defender of the Realm struggles to beat Pollux eventually nailing DEFENDER CANNON. All seems calm until the ref tries to raise his arm when Defender flips out and runs into the crowd. He rushes to the back of the venue and climbs up a media structure sitting at the top and refusing to come down til everyone has left. Defender’s crazy antics cause Exo-King to book a drugs test immediately following the match. Defender goes loopy to find testers waiting for him backstage and has to be sedated to enable the testing to take place. Nothing is found in his bloodstream causing great bewilderment as to what is driving his unpredictable behaviour
Enigma totally controls Ursa Major finishing with FEET OF FURY. Once again Enigma gives an aerial masterclass and shows off his credentials as a possible future champion. Ursa Major (or Ursula as Enigma cruelly calls him, as he thinks he wrestles like a girl) is feeble and musters little challenge. Confidence crisis at the Titans?
Pillars of Power beat Asylum by DQ. A pie thrown into the face of Dynamo by Psycho is what decides the outcome. Dynamo may not of been pleased at being humiliated but another win means the Pillars are riding high and waiting patiently in the wings to mount a title challenge. Hints that that the days of Asylum in the GWF are numbered. Frenzy says he is getting too old for all the bumps and is frustrated with Psycho. Over the years Psycho has never moved on from the crazy non caring persona to try for serious success. Frenzy said “he will always be my best friend but sometimes I think he had the ability to become a monster with the size and power to crush anybody but he put having a good time and unhealthy living first all the time. It’s been fun for sure but I would of liked to of held the tag belts at least once. Now my body is too ripe to realise that dream (a strong hint at looming retirement)”
Stalker wins against Vyper via a DQ decision. Pre match heat as Vyper casts aspersions on Stalker and says the jungle man has a fear of snakes! The ring is crawling with snakes as Vyper unloads a bucket of snakes and critters amid a memorable entrance. Stalker doesn’t look comfortable but shows courage to put the trauma to the back of his mind despite showing obvious discomfort. One poor ring worker is tasked with clearing the ring and looks pretty annoyed at the job he was given. Seems a couple of small snakes slithered into the crowd judging by the screams. When the action finally begins Stalker wins out after grinding Vyper down with impressive moves heavily based on using the ropes. He was using his experience of swinging on vines to help him. Vyper senses a difficult match and tries to gain unfair advantage by picking up the empty metal bucket that he’s brought all the snakes in. He tries to divert the attention of the ref by alerting him to crowd trouble and then smashes Stalker over the head. No fooling this experienced ref who catches him in the act and calls for the bell. Stalker later admits it wasn’t a match he enjoyed as he is more used to handling bigger beasts in the wild but strongly denies he has an actual phobia of reptiles or creepy crawlies
Jack of Diamonds and Killer Queen defeated Vanity and Mutant. The Kings Court duo are wondering where their manager, the Collector, is but he was busy tying up some loose ends (rumoured financial windfall) and lets them down at the last minute. Vanity lets Mutant do most of the work and it gets torn to shreds as Killer Queen is in super form tonight. He hits WARP SPEED to leave Mutant out of it. Killer Queen then leaves the ring ignoring his partner to walk and talk with Vanity. Exo-King describes rumours that Queenie is about to leave the King’s Court for being too square and rejuvenate his career with Vanity as tittle tattle. Unfortunately Killer Queen does little to dispel such rumours and causes a stir as he starts subscribing to Vanity’s online blogs and openly ‘liking’ his posts on social media.

Johnny Rocket’s Launching Pad … Krakan
Johnny Rocket: “Welcome to another edition of the Launching Pad. I’m here as ever to bring the inside scoop as I always do. We are blasting off with Krakan. Of course everyone knows about the breakdown of the villain alliance between Krakan and Morpheus and the other teams. Just goes to show doesn’t it? There is no honour among thieves. Anyway let’s get some more answers. Come in Krakan!” Krakan: “Hey you miserable worm. Is that anyway to refer to the Invincible Krakan? Your lucky I’m more tolerant than Splatter. If you upset him, you upset Arsenal. And you know what happens then.” Johnny Rocket: “Don’t give me that. I’m the one with all the clever lines. We all know that Morpheus always considered himself head villain. There was always going to be a power struggle and it seems the battle over the tag gold caused your relationship to crumble along with your violent lottery.” Krakan: “Oh dear you stupid worthless maggot. Now we have Arsenal back from that thieving Commander Scum and keeping it out of the FDF clutches the lottery is back badder than ever.” Johnny Rocket: “Ok. But you’ve got to look at it from our point of view. Things don’t look good for the Hitmen. They played second fiddle to the Citadel as a result of an alliance which always looked shaky. You then fail miserably in your quest for the tag belts. Superiority Complex are blowing everyone away. The days when the Mercenaries dominated the belts are a distant memory. And nobody is hiring you for jobs by showing your true colours not to be trusted with money after what you pulled at OTB.” Krakan: “Oh I thought journalists were supposed to be intelligent. It’s no good trying to bamboozle me with your nonsense. I am the smartest military mind in the galaxy. I double crossed Morpheus and that’s his problem. Maybe we should be tag champions, I expect a lot from my team. At the moment it is in the past and we look to the future of the Hitmen. For your information we are always available for jobs providing the price is right. We never sell ourselves short. There are always customers but they have to have the cash to back it up. As a matter of fact I am sorting through a few details with my latest customer. Just some finishing touches before we go public. We may just of hit the jackpot.” Johnny Rocket: “With who. It can’t be with Morpheus or the Gladiators due to your fear of Thakur (Krakan screws his face at that comment). Is it the Overlord? Darkos? Doomsayer? A hero team?” Krakan: “Never you mind blabbermouth.” Johnny Rocket: “Oh I get it. All talk, no delivery. You know I’m right. The Hitmen are finished aren’t they? The hiring of contracts is old and stale. Teams now prefer to settle their own scores.” Krakan: “I don’t have to listen to this crap. You’ve wasted my time. Time I could’ve spent with Morpheus finalising my Hitman’s contract. So leave me .... doh, you really are making me angry Rocket. I’ve had enough of this ridiculous circus, my team needs me. We have competitors to crush!”
(With that Krakan storms away. Johnny Rocket just sat there smugly having unearthed more news.) Johnny Rocket: (looking smug) “Some military genius. There is no bluffing the top journalist in the GWF! Now we all know there is a Hitman’s contract out on the Champions. Krakan really is a piece of work. One minute at odds with Morpheus vowing never to work with him again. Next minute Morpheus waves a bundle of cash under his nose and they are buddies again. So I guess we can look forward to matches between Omega and Krakan’s teams and remember where you heard it first folks!”

Card 611 – Antares Firedome:
Interplanetary champ, Holocaust, lost to Ram by count-out. Ram has to wade through a lot of criticism. Lots of chatter that he doesn’t deserve a shot and has very few credible victories in 2099. Perhaps Morpheus pulled some strings for the Brotherhood (he still has a lot of influence over corrupt officials). He has little interest in what he sees an undercard belt, which won’t amuse the Matador when he hears that, but still wants it sitting with the villains. Ram is desperate to make a mark, too desperate it seems as he screws up his big singles chance. Not only does he need so much help to stay in the match ranging from an overload on Holocaust after SHOCKWAVE plus crucial interferences when the surge hits him again but he shows incredible stupidity when given the advantage. Rather than try and get Holocaust back in the ring after he was laid out (Morpheus having sent Superiority Complex to ringside to do a number on him whilst the Overlord keeps the ref occupied) he just stands there laughing. As the count gets laid on Ram takes the count-out victory and then suddenly remembers he can’t win the belt that way. The crowd cackles as Ram tries to grab the belt only for the ref to take it off him and appear to send Ram tumbling (in truth Ram loses composure and trips over his own feet)
Mayhem wins over by Draconian Sheik by DQ in a match where Massif was the special ref. Blow off to the feud? Thakur wants Mayhem to keep his mind on the Civil War. It’s a bloody battle but Mayhem makes a big push. LEAP OF DOOM continues to divide opinion as when it hits it is possibly the most devastating finish in the GWF but so often it is a split second from disaster as missing it is extremely damaging. Tonight it nearly cost him as he misses and then found himself enduring an excruciating DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. Mayhem clings on and fights back with a second wind. Drac goes mad and starts violently attacking Mayhem with weapons leading Massif (who tries to avoid calling DQs and letting wrestlers fight) with no choice but to end it. Drac then tries to attack Massif but ends up on the deck after a slam. Reynard B. Guile is furious at Massif for abusing his position as an official and threatens to file a complaint to stop him officiating more GWF matches
Skinhead defeated Defender of the Realm. Usual theatrics from Defender but his eye is not on his opponent as takes victory for granted against a tag specialist. His prancing sees him caught with BAD ATTITUDE despite continual warnings during a hard fought match. Cannibal continues to unsettle Defender sending malnourished Cannibal’s to intercept Defender in the runway and beat him with bones. A struggle breaks out and Defender fights off his weak attackers but it leads to more problems. Defender loses his mind backstage and starts a mad search for the Collector who has vanished into thin air. Several people try to hold him back and there are a few minor injuries. It takes the appearance of Exo-King to talk him out of his insane hunt to calm Defender. He later accuses the Collector of shirking his responsibility and trying to abandon a sinking ship. He gets off the hook for his actions as Commissioner Carter agrees with Exo-King that the team should try and deal with the matter internally and seek help for him
Ursa Major pinned Pollux with SHOTGUN CRADLE. The original undercarder battle but Ursa Major’s career has kicked off since those days where he was cannon fodder for the stars. He keeps Pollux guessing by varying up his attacks. Pollux can’t cope and ring tactics is certainly not his strong suit (although one might argue wrestling full stop is not his strong suit)
Gamemasters beat Hoods of Death to end a patchy run that has left their ascent up the tag rankings stalling. Both Thantos and Star Warrior felt HELLFIRE and made pin saving run ins for eachother. The Overlord didn’t like it but seeing as the move is controversial anyway it’s poetic justice. The Gamemasters battle back and defeat Bishop Hell with ENDGAME. Bishop Hell cuts a frustrated figure again, stuck in a rut and going nowhere in this team
Demons of Hydra beat Retribution after FINAL ORACLE stopped Dreadnaught. Retribution trying to stay in the title hunt but suffer a damaging loss. Demons at a disadvantage with nobody to help them pull off their switch but it has little effect. Retribution show early domination but took their foot off the gas and the Demons seize control looking the more fluid and better oiled team. Commander Sam’s mind is racing as he deals with questions about Dreadnaught’s team commitment and reports that he was recently seen at an anti-Earth rally back on his homeworld in Cygnus.
Card 612 – NETWORK DEIMOS WRESTLING – Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
(Show opens with a segment involving Pegasus. He invites the cameras to follow him as tries on new suits in a Deimos Mall. The shop owners are fighting for his business and keen to help him as it is some free advertising! “Tomorrow I will show that the enhanced myth surrounding Alpha Force and his incredible wrestling skills is nonsense by winning the belt. I am choosing an expensive suit to match the belt and of course ladies I am now available. I will be a handsome reward for some lucky lady.”)
Heavyweight champ, Alpha Force, beat Pegasus by DQ. Pegasus was wearing his new suit and arrogantly walks to the ring and reacts to the excessive crowd heckling over losing Cassandra by trying to show off in front of a female fan. He whispers in her ear “I saw you gawping at me, what do you think? Don’t hold back, I am susceptible to flattery” and leans in for a smooch. She doesn’t take kindly to the intrusion and cringes as he moves in. “You think you are quite the charmer don’t you” and leaves him red faced with a well timed slap and rips the arm on his new suit. Pegasus red face turns crimson when he realises he new suit is torn. He shouts that there will be consequences and grabs her by the hair when suddenly Alpha Force, who was watching this all unfold, makes the save and rips into him tearing his expensive suit right off and commencing the title defense. Confidence surges through Alpha Force and he largely controls the match. Even when under pressure for a brief period he conjures something out of nothing with a spectacular somersault as he gets thrown forcefully towards a turnbuckle and stops Pegasus building any meaningful attack (it’s weird how when Alpha Force has his Alpha powers he was a choke in the GWF overall but now with his downgraded card he is the talisman of the Champions team enjoying great success). Feeling things are going against him Pegasus tries to choke Alpha Force with his suit tie but it’s right under the referee’s nose and draws a DQ. Alpha Force rips the tie out of his hands and throws into the crowd who start falling over eachother trying to grab this ultra expensive fashion accessory. Pegasus later fumes over his suit being ruined and says Alpha Force was jealous because he is always penny pinching over his own clothes. He thinks Alpha Force should be buying him a new suit and giving him another title shot
Tag champs, Superiority Complex, beat Titan Express by DQ. Both Titans are fighting illness and look weak. Dragonmaster gets a real going over in the early stages but digs deep avoids a quick loss by kicking out after THE PERFECT TAG FINISHER. When he eventually scrambles a tag Pulsar Prime finds Skinhead in hot form. Skinhead unleashes BAD ATTITUDE multiple times but Pulsar Prime has fire in his belly and hangs on in there before really taking the fight to Superiority Complex. Suddenly Superiority Complex are on the ropes and both of them jump into the ring prompting both Titans to do the same. It’s a melee with all four of them slugging it out. The ref has lost control but sees Pulsar Prime throw Prodigy outside the ring and decides this is the last straw. The crowd is baying for the ref as he awards Superiority Complex an undeserving DQ win. Plaudits for the Titans but they are not in party mood after missing a big opportunity. Trainer Jim (now in the medical centre due to his virus) watches from a monitor and knows his men were stiffed tonight. Perhaps if he had been there things would of been different
Torture Chamber Match, Wolf defeated Draconian Sheik. After one or two questionable moments Wolf shifts into a groove with a buccaneering show. He wears Drac down with his famed SAVAGE FACE CLAW and puts the finish on by hurling Drac face first into the titanium. It’s a lethal blow that leaves Drac comatose and bathing in a pool of his own blood
Dreadnaught over Monad by count-out. Monad looking to bounce back after OTB and regain his aura as an ‘unstoppable monster’. Dreadnaught tangles with his blood enemy, Doomsayer, who is in tow at ringside. Dreadnaught is soon bothered by him and stops his attacks in the ring. Turning to Doomsayer he calls him a ‘treacherous dog’ and goes for him but doesn’t keep his wits about him and before he can get there the four arms of Monad smash him back. Blows come raining down with arms everywhere. Seeing Dreadnaught outnumbered Commander Sam charges to the ring amid much fanfare. He throws an object to Dreadnaught and then engages Doomsayer. Dreadnaught is able to floor Monad with what looks like a rock. The referee counts Monad out although he strongly suspects foul play but Sam throws him off the scent and the decision stands. Victory is tarnished when Dreadnaught spurns the American flag as he departs the ring. Doomsayer’s team don’t like getting some of their own medicine and Sam later admits he had handed Dreadnaught an object, “it was a souvenir from a recent trip to Mount Rushmore”
Quasar easily beats Ram with HIGH ROLLER. Ram barely gets a look in as he falters against all the aerial attacks. Ram was so stunned by the move that ended the match it was a struggle for him to get back to his feet long after the match had ended. Bishop Hell loiters at the end of the runway watching Ram’s efforts with disdain. Quasar races away from the ring as Trainer Jim has been taken ill and he is keen to check on him
The Mercenaries defeated Titan Wrestling after Soldier of Fortune pins Lord Nexus. Trainer Jim rises from his sickbed to be at ringside. A nasty strain of Titan flu has been tearing through his team leaving them weakened. The Mercenaries are a little slow out the blocks but they build things up. Definitely one for the cameras as Soldier of Fortune finishes it in style with Street Moves. It is a gallant effort from Ursa Major who makes a huge effort in the ring rattling Soldier of Fortune for several close pin falls. But the weak link is Lord Nexus who looses their grip on the match and a chance of an upset. He is clearly he is physically declining in the ring and gets caught out by Soldier of Fortune’s aggression and power. He still has a great skill set but in these modern days against powerful and younger wrestlers it’s not enough. He continues to support his young partner, Ursa Major, describing him as a good lad with huge potential
Thunder beats Brute by DQ. The Gladiator legend is on top as Thunder is not with the game tonight as but makes a mistake. He goes to the top rope and is out of his comfort zone allowing Thunder a way back into the match. Brute decides to punish the young upstart by dragging Thunder outside and whacking him with a chair drawing blood
Flesh and Bones beat the Beast Riders. Old feuds never die as the teams meet. Cannibal carries a shrunken head modelled on Terak and calls it his lucky charm. Terak tells him “stop peddling such baloney” and leaps at him getting the match to a feisty start but the Renegades always seem to be prepared thinking two moves ahead as they control the tempo. Death’s Head wears Terak down and then tags in Cannibal who gleefully finishes him off with his dastardly THROAT SLIT move.

GWF REPORT (CIVIL WAR 2099 CARDS 609 - 612)
Champions
* GWF Galaxian Champ: Alpha Force (Top Contender: Monad) * GWF Tag Champs: Superiority Complex (Top Contenders: Gamemasters) * GWF Interplanetary Champ: Holocaust (Top Contender: Ram)
Latest News:
Hot debating point as Alpha Force awaits his next challenger. The likes of Pegasus, Janus, Monad (via Doomsayer) and Chaos (of course!) have all put their case to the GWF championship committee. Commissioner Carter calls a press conference to solve this top contender riddle and amid a huge media circus in attendance he announces that the highest ranked competitor is Monad who will challenge Alpha Force at the next event. An incredible announcement which leaves everyone shocked.
Cassandra has betrayed Raw Power by returning to Vanity. She had taken a fancy to Dynamo much to the annoyance of Pegasus. Eventually he agreed to let her be Dynamo’s ‘girlfriend’ but he has rejected her saying he doesn’t like her dominatrix look one bit and always thought she was a bit of a ‘hideous beast’. She cannot understand the rejection as when he was Mr. Galaxy and she was the valet for the Awesome Studs “he couldn’t keep his hands off me”. Cassandra asserts he must be struggling with his sexuality to not want to be with her. Pegasus is milking the situation and on the lookout for a new valet (he was ogling anything in a skirt during the last show). He doesn’t seem too bothered Cassandra has gone after making flimsy efforts to keep her interested. She has therefore switched allegiances after becoming smitten with Vanity again. Of course this strokes Vanity’s inflated ego “women cannot resist me. They always come back!” The logistics of the switch mean both Maxine Babe and Cassandra want to accompany him to ringside but the GWF are not keen on the idea of potential double distractions and may insist only one valet at a time. Cassandra and Maxine Babe are pretty jealous of eachother and don’t get on too well so it’ll be interesting to see how long they co-exist on the team.
The Hitmen are back on side of the Citadel in one of the fastest turnarounds in history. Krakan is angry Johnny Rocket rumbled the latest contract early and is continuing to voice a dislike towards Morpheus. He says the pact is still over and the Hitmen are striking out on their own but on this occasion he was made an offer he could not refuse. Making it very clear that the Hitmen are even open to offers to battle the Citadel. The first bouts between the Champions and the Hitmen are already signed but both managers keeping their cards close to their chests on what form they’ll take. Krakan says the Hitmen will exterminate the Champions but Omega’s team goes into them full of confidence as they have regained their form after a couple of very difficult years. Recent OTB and Heavyweight belt success has returned the feel good factor to the team and they are now ready for whatever is thrown in their way.
Dreadnaught has told Commander Sam he no longer wants to bring the American flag to matches. Meaning no disrespect but he would prefer to carry the flag of his home world Cygnus and use it as his source of inspiration. When Sam asks about his sighting at an anti-Earth rally in Cygnus Dreadnaught tells him he was only back visiting old friends and it was co-incidence the event was going on at the same time. Not wanting to damage team spirit Sam respects the wishes of Dreadnaught although there are murmurings US. Patriot doesn’t like the turnaround. Perhaps thinking Sam is doing too much to pander to Dreadnaught and sees him as the top dog on the team. He doesn’t like that someone who has been a huge rival in the past might be usurping his spot in the team and that he is trailing in his achievements when compared to Dreadnaught. Deep down Adam feels the members of the team are not all being treated as equals and that the FDF would be considerably better off without Dreadnaught.
Defender of the Realm feels abandoned by his team after nobody came to his aid on #611. He says something is bugging him but it’s not madness as everyone thinks. He goes online, posts some oddball limericks and finishes up his night by saying “you all think I’m mad but you all thought wrong. I’m just ill. There is no cure for what I have. It’s a disease that we all have. It’s called Collector-itis. A nasty strain. Makes everyone sick”. The Collector ignores what he calls mad ramblings and is dodging all responsibility for his team and it’s welfare after inheriting a fortune. His mind couldn’t be further from managing in the GWF. Exo-King continues to try and smooth things over and quieten the rumblings of discontent. He tells people that the Court is still a solid crew but it is scarcely believable. The team is really under the microscope with many problems and accusations that the Collector is also a con man fleecing the team for his own financial gains (even the flamboyant Killer Queen is wobbling as he tries to rekindle a friendship with Vanity). The writing could be on the wall. Nobody in the Court is in the greatest of spirits leaving the team with a very shaky outlook. It is pretty certain that either the Collector or Defender leaves the King’s Court in the near future or the team will probably crumble.
The next event is FRIGHT NIGHT (#615) featuring a scary main event as Alpha Force battles Monad.
WHOSE HOT – Wolf; Quasar; Killing Machine; Thunder; Skinhead; Demons of Hydra; Flesh and Bones WHOSE NOT – Monad; Defender of the Realm; Draconian Sheik; Exo-King; New Order; Retribution INJURED – Exo-King (2); Draconian Sheik (6); SUSPENDED – none
Wrestler of the Month: WOLF – Reigns supreme in hardcore matches as he totally dominates Drac to end this side feud early.
Tag Team of the Month: DEMONS OF HYDRA – Even without the switch they looked well oiled and won big over Retribution.

*BETWEEN THE ROPES*
Comes as no surprise given recent events that Vanity and Killer Queen have kissed and made up. Killer Queen has been unhappy with the King’s Court calling it an unhappy place and too reserved. He departs on good terms with Exo-King and they both remain good friends. Queenie said “I want to be where the excitement is. Vanity is a charismatic guy and we compliment each others style both in the ring and in fashion. The King’s Court was too square. The Collector is dull and has lost control of the Defender. I am sorry to my old friend Exo-King but it’s time to move on”. They will team up on #614 in a match with old adversaries the Beastriders and are unofficially calling themselves ‘Glamour and Glitz’. Now they have two valets, Cassandra and Maxine Babe, there is one girl for each for them to abuse. Vanity (being the cad he is) gets bored using the same woman so they will be inter changeable.
Card 613 – Antares Firedome:
Hitman Match, Alpha Force beat Splatter (non-title). Talk that Doomsayer has paid the Hitmen some extra cash to make sure Splatter injures Alpha Force and leaves him weakened ahead of the FRIGHT NIGHT belt defence against Monad. Splatter fails the task but plays his part in a gripping match. Alpha Force dominating long periods but Splatter just won’t stay down despite feeling the brunt of Alpha Force’s entire repertoire. Bloody and battered Splatter gets a crazed period of momentum and leaves the crowd gasping as he smashes Alpha Force with MEET ARSENAL. Go back a year and this probably would of brought about the end but Alpha Force is made of stronger stuff these days. He recovers to pull Splatter down from the pole and rattles the maniac with powerful moves and also uses the pole itself to hurt him. Finally he tries for TOMAHAWK THRUST again which leaves Splatter down and bleeding. Splatter makes a desperate crawl towards the pole but it’s not enough to stop Alpha Force going up it and grabbing the bag of cash
Star Warrior defeated Marcel de Sade with COSMIC BIG BANG. This is the sort of match the older fans love as two veterans lock up. Star Warrior’s body has unquestionably held up better in recent years as he wins in a near walkover
Jack of Diamonds defeated Mutant. At first it looked too easy for Jack as Mutant looks starved and out of condition but he nearly gets caught out as he treats the match almost like a practice. Jack survives the scare and asserts control again finishing with Throne Strap but then receives a nasty surprise. Splatter is in the house. He is due to wrestle later but gets twitchy waiting around so decides to pay this match a visit. Jack gets a savage battering which is only ended by the appearance of the unpredictable Defender storming to a daring rescue. Jack leaves on a stretcher. Remarkable in the aftermath that the Collector asks Commissioner Carter not to suspend Splatter
The Beast Riders defeat Death’s Head and Vanity. Killer Queen parades around the ring spraying glitter everywhere but gets sent away by the referee who only allows Cassandra to stay at ringside. Cassandra tries hard to please Vanity pulling her distractions but Terak is having one of those nights where nothing is going to stop him. After a few tries he gets Death’s Head with BARBARIAN SHUFFLE. Once again Vanity is criticised for doing very little work leaving most of the battle to Death’s Head
US. Patriot and Dreadnaught overcome Hoods of Death via DQ. Sam tells Adam and Dreadnaught to team and put their differences behind them. Despite their obvious animosity towards each other ther they actually work very well together. The FDF pair triumphing when the Hoods are penalised by the Overlord entering the ring after Adam had used FREEDOM FLYER on Pharoah Khety
Doomsayer and Tendron crush Asylum. Tendron briefly stepping away from his bodyguard role and back into the ring. He looks hungry for action and makes most of the running with his brutalisation of Psycho particularly decisive. The overweight Psycho cannot cope as he falls to repeated attempts of THE SMOTHERING. The tentacles on Tendron’s head have a mind of their own as much to the amusement of Doomsayer they almost latch onto the poor ref as he is lifting their arms in victory. Tendron deserving of a more active spot on the team next year perhaps?

Card 614 – Phobos Sundome:
Special Ref – Massif, Alpha Force pinned Chaos (non title). There may not be a belt online but it makes this classic feud no less intense. Alpha Force is in inspired form. He survives an initial opening salvo which requires breaking out of BOW OF DEFEAT but after that he is superior to Chaos in every area. Alpha Force takes advantage of Massif’s relaxed attitude to calling DQs by administering a few heavy hits when the action spills outside. Alpha Force uses both TOMAHAWK THRUST and ALPHA STRIKE to weaken Chaos but it’s a regular old Moonsault that leads to the pin. It’s a spectacular move but not normally the sort carrying enough impact on it to beat someone like Chaos. Victory tonight just further underlines Alpha Force’s credentials as a wrestler of the year candidate. 2099 has been truly special for him
Hitman Match, Splatter bludgeons Thantos. Splatter tries to continue his streak of slaughter against the experienced Thantos. He makes Krakan happy (who has been nervous that his mega money deal with Morpheus would be in jeopardy should Splatter lose) with a crazed effort. Thantos can’t catch breath as he is smashed relentlessly head first into the pole. The blood is already spilled when Splatter later grabs his weapon and unloads MEET ARSENAL. Thantos somehow fights back after the first strike stopping Splatter’s move towards the money bag but then swiftly gets swiped with another and laid out
Lepus Stunrod Match, Asylum get a popular win over the Cosmic Rangers. Psycho grapples the Stun Rod from Astro Turk’s grasp. He throws him into the ropes and then smashes Astro Turk in the midsection with it. Psycho sits on him for the fall, Bart runs in and tries to pull Psycho off his partner but can’t move him
Wildcat upsets Cannibal with WILDCAT STRIKE. He gets rewarded by a lottery attack from Splatter after Cannibal (annoyed by this shock defeat) calls him out. Two strikes in as many cards. The attack could of been worse as nobody was coming to help but Splatter seemed to get bored and cut the beating short. Calls in the aftermath for Commissioner Carter to take action despite recently deciding not to suspend him. Carter quickly posts on popular social app LINGO that will definitely face a suspension ruling him out of FRIGHT NIGHT
Star Warrior beats Soldier of Fortune with COSMIC BIG BANG to continue surge in singles form. The Champions handling the Hitman contract out on them impressively as they have the edge so far
Vanity and Killer Queen defeated the Beastriders. Known unofficially as ‘Glamour and Glitz’ it’s a big night for Vanity and Queenie and they choose to face old adversaries. The ladies are excited too and it leads to a backstage argument over who is going to come out with them. In the end Maxine Babe gets the approval leaving Cassandra to watch jealously backstage. She sees her men rise to the occasion as Vanity leads the team to a surprise win, using a Stud Stomp on Terak to win the card opener.
*AFTER THE BELL*
Defender of the Realm makes a grovelling apology to his team and says he wants to welcome the Collector back to managing him. He made a big statement by saving Jack on #613 during a lottery attack. The outcome was not great for Jack but could of been so much worse. It’s a big boost to what was looking a very fragile King’s Court. Exo-King was reeling after Chinese whispers that Killer Queen was planning to overthrow the leadership and with the help of Vanity usurp the crown but instead Queenie just quit the court. The pair of them actually remain friends as they go back a long way. Exo-King now has renewed confidence despite his son’s injuries and says everyone is united in battle.
The lottery is in full swing as Splatter also adds Wildcat to his list of victims. Wildcat suffered moderate injuries (6). Commissioner Carter cannot overlook this trail of destruction any longer and slaps a 10 card suspension on Splatter ruling him out til 2100. Colussus was meant to face Splatter in a Hitman match on the next card but the match is now cancelled leaving him without an opponent. Concerns about Alpha Force defending the belt against Monad. His work ethic is praised but after 3 tough matches against Pegasus, Chaos and Splatter in consecutive cards there is a danger of burn out. Raven offers to watch Alpha Force’s back at FRIGHT NIGHT as the two men strike up a friendship.

Johnny Rocket’s Launching Pad … Doomsayer Johnny’s back and talking to Doomsayer. With his latest creation, Monad, set to challenge for the Heavyweight belt held Alpha Force the timing couldn’t be better. Discussion points summarised below. Johnny Rocket: “Welcome all to the Launching Pad. Here we go again folks. My guest this week is someone that splits opinion. To some a pioneer and groundbreaking scientist, to many others a criminal guilty of acts of atrocity and ethical wrongdoings. It’s the twisted genius Doomsayer” Doomsayer: (emerging to a chorus of boos) “Silence pathetic worms. Show the ‘Master of the Universe’ some respect. Before I answer any questions I want to give the galaxy a close up of my greatest ever experiment. I am so proud of my achievements. Come out my brilliant creation that is Monad”
(Monad comes out groaning unintelligible sounds. The TRANSEVOLVER has taken away the ability of Matter and Antimatter to communicate properly but Monad still responds to questions)
Monad: “I am the most unstoppable force in the GWF. The belt is mine. Alpha Force will not be able to escape me. There’s nowhere to hide (starts roaring and pounding on it’s chest with all four arms)”
Doomsayer: “You see. There is no way Alpha Force or anyone else can survive against something like this. The Cosmic Forces were going nowhere but I have solved their problem. It’s my greatest experiment yet and one that will deliver the ultimate prize to Entropy. The Heavyweight belt!”
Johnny Rocket: “How comes you haven’t managed to work your own ranking high enough to be awarded the title shot? That body you stole is letting you down. I guess you can’t polish a turd eh?”
Doomsayer: “I suggest you don’t make false accusations. My new body is just another example of how I am so far ahead in the field of science. It has allowed me to live again and show how great a wrestler Doomsayer can become. Besides I won the Interplanetary belt didn’t I. That’s a huge achievment“
Johnny Rocket: “Briefly, I’m not sure it even counts. What do you make of Raven offering to help Alpha Force in this feud? He says Alpha Force is outnumbered and wants to help him even the score”
Doomsayer: “That weakling makes no difference. They should call him ‘Sparrow’ instead of ‘Raven’. He’s ... hey what you doing here? This isn’t a freak show you know!”
Johnny Rocket: “I’m checking the schedules and your not on tonight Colussus. Why are you here?”
Colussus: “Don’t worry Johnny. I know I’m not booked tonight. But ever since Splatter got suspended it’s left me without an opponent at FRIGHT NIGHT. Rather than spend the night buffing my wrestling boots thought I’ll come on here to challenge Doomsayer to wrestle me in a Hitman match”
Doomsayer: (laughing) “Poor misguided idiot. Clearly doesn’t want to miss out on all the attention. Well I’m kind of busy that night what with the main event but I guess I got time to put you in your place too. Sure, I’ll beat you, earn some extra cash from that money bag and then guide Monad to Heavyweight belt glory at the end. It’ll be a good night for Entropy”
Johnny Rocket: “Cool. Sounds like we’ve got a match! Now gentleman if you’d kindly leave the set as we are out of time. Please go quietly as we don’t want any scenes. At least until you’re clear of the set”

Card 615 – FRIGHT NIGHT – Draco’s Castle:
MAIN EVENT:
Heavyweight champ, Alpha Force (with Raven), lost to Monad (with Doomsayer) by count-out. Dramatic twists in the match. Alpha Force nearly humiliates Monad in just two moves as he flies out of the blocks and unleashes ALPHA STRIKE. Monad just about gets three of his four shoulders up in time. Monad manages to then get on offence which is never good for an opponent as it’s nearly impossible to break the momentum against all those arms. Sure enough Alpha Force finds himself under heavy bombardment and locked in QUADRUPLE CLAMP but Raven jumps on the apron and shouts encouragement to his new mate. This also works the crowd and Alpha Force makes a desperate journey to the ropes to break the hold. Relieved Alpha Force goes again. Monad is visibly shocked the move was dismantled and foolishly charges at Alpha Force but gets picked off. Soon TOMAHAWK THRUST is unleashed and the match is surely over until Doomsayer decides to grab a small gun and shoot Raven. A force field surrounds Raven and he is unable to move. Seeing this Alpha Force runs to his aid but gets the same treatment. Unable to move he is counted out. Doomsayer decides to take the count out win knowing Monad will get another tilt at the title and they can be better prepared. Outside the ring the effects of the stun gun (if that’s what it can be called) wear off very quickly and both Alpha Force and Raven appear to be able to move freely and seem fine;
MIDCARD:
Tag champs, Superiority Complex, lost to the Gamemasters by DQ. Splatter had done a good job of weakening Thantos who found himself subjected to THE PERFECT TAG FINISHER early. Only an ugly tag brawl involving all members kept the match bubbling. But Morpheus was frustrated certain victory had been spoiled and ended up attacking Thantos on the outside causing the DQ loss. Probably not the cleverest move as it keeps the Gamemasters in the top contenders spot
Mayhem and Vengeance defeat Wolf and Spike in a regular match. Another great Civil War battle. Vengeance shines as he uses his cunning (and some help) to come through two applications of SAVAGE FACE CLAW to fight back and beat Wolf with LETHAL CATAPULT. Vanguard very much on top as the Legends continue to lose their early control of the feud
Battlezone Match, Fighting Titans brush aside the Brotherhood with two combatants not seeing any action (Lord Nexus and Ursa Major); Quasar eliminates Pharoah Khety via count-out after hitting a high risk move outside the ring. The Occult Overlord had been saying he was pleased Pharoah Khety was drawn out first to save their strongest members which won’t of done Khety’s fragile confidence much good. It showed as despite all the efforts of the Overlord’s interfering to help him Khety mustered little resistance; Bishop Hell defeated Quasar. The Brotherhood in danger of falling fast as Bishop Hell cannot avoid HIGH ROLLER. It takes Bishop Hell’s breath away but he kicks out and recovers enough to eventually flash HELLFIRE in Quasar’s face; Bishop Hell looks like he is on a roll as he does the same to Dragonmaster. If he gets away with it HELLFIRE is one of least survived moves in the GWF. Maybe he is choosing the big stage tonight to really prove a point to the Overlord for forcing him into mainly tag action year; Pulsar Prime ends the run of Bishop Hell with a DQ win blamed on the Overlord. Bishop Hell makes some comments later on the show saying he is still angry about losing his singles spot on the team and is ready to really to take it out on someone, whatever that means; Pulsar Prime puts the Titans in a really strong position by dominating and eliminating Mesmer via SOLAR STRAIN; Pulsar Prime beats Ram by DQ as the Occult Overlord costs his team another elimination. His inability not to interfere has caused the elimination of his two strongest stars and leaves the Brotherhood staring down the barrel of defeat; Pulsar Prime puts the Brotherhood out their misery by beating Gemini by DQ. Gemini gives a good effort and avoids being pinned despite accumulating 7 tokens but he is no match for Pulsar Prime’s skills. It’s a memorable night for Pulsar Prime with 4 victories (albeit 3 of them by DQ)
Hitman Match, Colussus crushed Doomsayer. Going on immediate attack Colussus throws Doomsayer into the pole with incredible force. Doomsayer was looking wobbly and the match was barely a minute old. Loving nothing more than beating his opponents with their own finisher he tries FUTURESHOCK. It doesn’t quite do the job at first but Colussus keeps up the offense and tries it again to hand Doomsayer a humiliating one sided defeat. This contract has not gone well for Krakan and Morpheus with huge amounts of cash being lost to the Champions team. Omega is delighted at the impressive turnaround his team has shown
Demons of Hydra (without masks) beat Asylum. Demon goes over Psycho by count-out to end an uninspiring one star match
Chaos beats Heracles in devastating style. Never before has Chaos fallen so far down the card. He is under pressure to deliver a powerful performance. Rising to the occasion he immediately slows Heracles with an Indestructible Drop then 3 BOW OF DEFEATs later and it’s all over. Jaw dropping stuff
Retribution beat Janus and Matador by DQ. The Citadel members are lacking direction as Morpheus focuses attention mainly on the all conquering Superiority Complex. Unable to secure a match against anyone from the Champions they team up to show their tag skills against one of the GWFs top teams. Commander Sam welcomes the challenge as a win will give his team a massive rankings boost. Sadly a match that promised much fails to deliver. Morpheus suddenly thinks he should show support for his men and shows up ringside and lays the boot into Dreadnaught who has tumbled outside under pressure from the Matador. Commander Sam steams around the ring and starts a shoving match with his old rival. Before they can really get going GWF staff come between them. Shame as it would of been great to see them go at it. Perhaps a little harsh that the ref chooses to only DQ the Citadel duo. Crowd chants of rematch, rematch ring out
Titan Death Match, New Order and Holocaust defeated Generation X and Death’s Head. WAR teaming up against a bizarre combo as Death’s Head joins Generation X but seeing as Entropy is all about death and decay I suppose it’s not that unnatural they want to pair up. Super match plays itself out. Everyone in the spotlight. Match very much a story of three chapters. The first being the battle between Holocaust and Death’s Head. The IP champ, Holocaust, really struggling against Death’s Head and having to take evasive action after FUNERAL MARCH. Eventually he gets out of the ring and the second chapter can begin with the feud between New Order and Generation X taking centre stage. Generation X has had the measure of New Order in 2099 and it’s much the same in this match. Dreggs gets nailed with THE SOUND OF MUSIC twice and is only saved by Mace and Holocaust coming in and attacking Grunge preventing him making the pin cover. Relieved to of escaped the WAR team rallies back. So the final chapter begins with Holocaust and Death’s Head back in the ring. Only this time Holocaust is renewed and batters Death’s Head. The crowd builds with excitement as they sense what’s coming. Holocaust gets charged up and unloads his devastating SHOCKWAVE to win the match
OPENERS:
Pillars of Power go over the Mercenaries by DQ. Two teams who have feuded before are in need of a major win. The Pillars have often been held back in pushing for the tag belts due to the dominance of Superiority Complex. They may have to continue their long wait in the wings despite a very smart win here. Krakan shows frustration with his troops over their mistakes. Having executed OPERATION: AMBUSH on Chopper Mattock victory should of been a foregone conclusion but they allowed Dynamo to come in and take them both down from behind. Mattock is able to then use SQUEEZE OF DEATH. If he wasn’t a little wobbly from the beating he’d earlier received it might of led to an upset. Having got away with that one the Mercenaries failed to learn. Vigilante later tries a turnbuckle smash but does not set it up right and Mattock easily avoids the move. Vigilante goes down and seeing his partner in danger of being pinned Soldier of Fortune rushes in and smashed his rifle over Mattock’s head causing the DQ. Krakan is exasperated
Lepus Stun Rod Match, Massacre beat Killing Machine. Neither Gladiator is shy about using the weapon as it plays a big part in a match that hangs in the balance. Massacre probably edged it as a result of being slightly smarter than his more powerful opponent. Having blasted Killing Machine with the rod he follows up with. Massacre Slam which stuns him long enough to get the pin fall
Enigma overcame US. Patriot with FEET OF FURY. Aerial specialists meet and an epic match is expected. That’s far from what happened as Enigma gets it won in a mere minute. The young Assassin’s star is on the rise. He has not been over exposed this year but is steadily moving towards greatness. Darkos maybe unpopular but his managing style is to be praised and he is building an incredibly talented young team that could be destined for success.
