Great action inside the ring and stellar drama developing backstage, my friend... Plus, I've gotta say that I really enjoy the candid wrestler check-in segment... Lots of fun!

Great action inside the ring and stellar drama developing backstage, my friend... Plus, I've gotta say that I really enjoy the candid wrestler check-in segment... Lots of fun! Thanks for that! The check-in segment came out when i decided that I really wanted to focus on personalities. When I was starting to write up my fed here, I noticed that there wasn't a lot of variance in the wrestler's motivations and they all just kind of got into feuds with each other with little background. Since I'm now significantly older, I figured I would try to inject a bit more into things, and hopefully it shows.

Turns out you are sprinkling your cool fed with new things. Still enjoyable.

GWF Chaos 2/26/96 Black Hole Stadium, Cygnus
Ring: Proteus
A confused Proteus starts the show with "Did I see Actagon out here last week?" He then calls to the back for Actagon to come out, but instead Janus appears. The Overman tells Proteus "We have unfinished business. Let's settle it at Wrestlestar in a Cosmic Cage!" The Greek God accepts the challenge, but lets Actagon know he is still looking for him.
Match 1: Colossus vs. Bishop Hell w/ Count Necros
Bishop Hell punches out the ref from behind after the official stops him from climbing the turnbuckle. It doesn't help him win the match, as Colossus puts on an impressive performance for the second week in a row and gets the win. After the match, Necros and Hell stomp on the cyborg for a bit before leaving.
Backstage: Vigilante
He approaches Maxine Babe and asks her if she "wants to have some fun tonight." When she replies "Gross!", he explains that he meant if she is his valet then he'll train her to win the Women's Championship. Put that way, she agrees, especially after her own friends laughed at her for trying to improve.
Match 2: Matador of M83 vs. Dynamo w/ Reynard B. Guile
The match is a good back-and-forth affair, but it has a bad ending as RBG refuses to get off the ring apron during a pin attempt as he is complaining about something. The ref warns him a couple of times before he rings the bell, disqualifying Dynamo.
Ring: Sign of the Zodiac
Occult Overlord lets everyone know that they are sick of these newcomers interrupting all their title shots. He wants Dorado Sundown to face SotZ in the ring next week, and keep out of their business tonight.
Match 3: Flying Titans (Pulsar Prime, Dragonmaster & Sectarian) w/ Lord Nexus vs. Sign of the Zodiac (Mesmer & Gemini) & Ram for Six-Man Tag Team Championship
Sectarian surprises everyone with a quick SIMIAN STUNNER and pin on Mesmer.
Commissioner's Office: Star Warrior
Carter tells SW he just received communication from the Futurists, the official name of Infinity's group. In response to Sign of the Zodiac's challenge, Infinity wants his stable to start facing top contenders for all belts, starting next week. Carter wants Star Warrior to make sure everything goes OK, and there are no tricks.
Match 4: U.S. Patriot vs. Tendron w/ Doomsayer
Tendron ends up winning by DQ after a great match starts to spin out of control for U.S. First, Doomsayer tries to grab Ms. Liberty, and second, U.S. gets frustrated by not being able to put the Destroyer away. That leads to U.S. suplexing him through a table during an out-of-ring brawl.
Wrestler Check-In:
-Ms. Liberty trying to calm U.S. Patriot down -Star Warrior talking to Alpha Force about next week's plan -Death Masque polishing his armor
Match 5: Quasar vs. Creeper
Quasar wins despite Creeper hitting the ELIMINATOR 4 times.
Interview: Proteus
He's searching everywhere for Actagon, as he needs to find out what's going on.
Match 6: Savage Kingdom (Wildcat & Stalker) w/ Beast Rider vs. Vanity Fair (Pegasus & Vanity) w/ Reynard B. Guile
After a couple of singles matches, the two team reunite to face each other. With the ref distracted, Stalker piledrives Vanity onto the floor, and SK wins by count-out, mirroring the match that started this feud.
Backstage: Alpha Force & Star Warrior
As AF is going to the ring to defend his title, SW comes up to him and lets him know he's got his brother's back.
Match 7: Alpha Force vs. Vigilante for Interdimensional Championship
Things were relatively quiet on the Futurists front until this match. Infinity-Plex does the "make-his-way-down-from-the-top-row-of-the-stadium" thing, but AF leaves the ring to meet him in the crowd. The referee ends up counting out the champ as he comes to blows with the Futurist in the stands. Security, wrestlers, and even fans get involved trying to pull the two apart as the show goes off-air.

I'm really interested to see what happens when the Greek Gods manage to find each other... Gotta funny feeling it might go down differently than many expect...
Big win for Vigilante in the show closer, even if it didn't result in him winning the title...
And it's great to see DK taking the time to maintain his armor... That metal doesn't shine itself after all... Ha! Fun stuff, as always!

GWF Chaos 3/4/96 Training Grounds, Galaxy A Outskirts, Ursa Major
Top of Ramp: Star Warrior
He starts the show by saying the Federation Defense Fighters have reformed to handle the threat of the Futurists. SW is then joined by the other members - Alpha Force, Thantos, Asteroid & Lord Nexus. They need someone strong to lead them, so Warrior announces they will be managed by Commander Sam. Sam comes out to huge applause, announcing that the FDF will watch over all the top contender matches tonight.
Match 1: Billy Joe Boxer vs. Marcel de Sade w/ Darkos
Coming out with a manager somewhat helps de Sade: after Marcel gets hit with the TKO, Darkos interferes by launching himself across the ring off the top rope, getting his man disqualified.
Backstage: Vanity Fair
Vanity and Pegasus are arm wrestling, when Cassandra comes over and sits at the table. Vanity asks her if she's ready to handle that "beastly woman from the future". Cassandra responds by smacking the gum she is chewing, putting her feet up on the table, and yawning.
Match 2: Sign of the Zodiac (Gemini & Mesmer) w/ Occult Overlord vs. Dorado Sundown (Blacklash & Bullwhip) w/ Infinity for Title Shot at Wrestlestar
Alpha Force and Thantos stand guard during this match, but the Gamesman loses his cool when Bullwhip is thrown out of the ring. Thantos comes over and pushes the cowboy back to the ground, prompting both Infinity to come over and the referee to call for a DQ. Infinity and Thantos end up standing nose-to-nose and harsher words start to fly, but security breaks things up before it goes much further.
Commissioner's Office: Sign of the Zodiac and Thantos
The group barges into the office, demanding a rematch for the tag team, and a main event showdown between Thantos and Infinity. Carter is all for it, and will work on making both matches happen.
Match 3: Dynamo w/ Reynard B. Guile vs. Matador of M83
Matador once again fells Dynamo with BULLWHIP, but Guile smashes him with a chair causing a DQ loss instead of a pin.
Commissioner's Office: Infinity
"You can't make me wrestle" is the response the clear one has to Carter's proposal. "As long as you hold that belt, I can" Carter retorts. Infinity explains that in this era, Thantos is not at his prime, and therefore is not worthy for a title shot. He will honor the request as long as it is a non-title match, to which Carter agrees to.
Match 4: Cassandra vs. Rhea (DEBUT MATCH) for Title Shot at Wrestlestar
Star Warrior & Alpha Force watch over this match. After Cassandra starts the contest with good offensive rhythm, keeping the newcomer on her toes, Rhea takes her down in 3 moves, ending with SIX DEADLY SINS.
Interview: Thantos
He is ready to take on Infinity, and since he is still one of the top talents in the GWF, is nowhere near "past his prime".
Match 5: Asylum (Psycho & Frenzy) vs. Vanity Fair (Vanity & Pegasus) w/ Reynard B. Guile
Pegasus gets Frenzy to give up in TOTAL SUBMISSION.
Wrestler Check-In:
-Lord Nexus & Commander Sam talking security -Count Necros drinking some strange red liquid -Jack of Diamonds doing card tricks
Match 6: Vigilante w/ Hitman vs. Infinity-Plex w/ Infinity for Title Shot at Wrestlestar
Lord Nexus & Commander Sam stand guard, but interference by Infinity kicks off a huge 6-man brawl. The match is declared a Vigilante win by DQ.
Promo: March 29
A new show format will be coming on that Friday, ending the long run of GWF Weekly, which was the first holovision show for this organization.
Match 7: Infinity w/ Infinity-Plex vs. Thantos in a Non-Title Match
The ring has been cleared of all the GWF brawlers from the previous match, with Infinity and Plex staying put to wait for Thantos' arrival. The match is good once it begins, with reversals galore. Thantos shows his intent was not to win when he smashes Infinity with the ring bell, causing his own disqualification. Infinity-Plex breaks it up quickly, causing an outnumbered Thantos to back up quickly. Before Thantos heads to the back, Infinity grabs a microphone and says "I was wrong. You are worthy. Wrestlestar, you're mine."
