We like to talk about the guys that are really good and we like to talk about the guys that are really bad but we rarely pay attention to the guys that are just in between. Some of them might have held titles or even had winning records but when you see the name come up you probably can't remember much about their career.
The first guy that I can think of is Tanck. He held my Special Matches belt a couple of times and had some higher profile feuds. But overall he was just kind of there his whole career. I think I always thought of him as mostly a space filler on a card or a guy to occupy someone else between feuds. When I think of mediocre, that's the first name that comes to mind.

Can't wait to see some of the names that pop up in this thread...
My current reboot is only in 2087... In my previous fed, Splatter was well on his way to becoming this guy... His record was always fairly respectable and he was a great guy for Darkos to have around if something got messy... But, I always seemed to have trouble working him into fun angles... Like you said about Tanck, he mainly seemed to be delegated to the role of midcard filler...
When I was playing in the New Beginnings era, I found myself wishing that the Troubleshooters would be more consistent... Cool concept team that only won the tag belts once for me...
Cool topic!

Up to 2098 myself, and I think of one name instantly.....Quasar.

Encubus.....Bloodline would have too, but he had a decent run in 2119 and 2120. Even as a tag team they didn't dominate like I'd expect.

I think Stalker might be the quintessential "mediocre" guy, to the point where Tom himself seemed to use "Stalker-level" to describe where he saw certain guys. He was an interesting attempt to inject some blood into the stale Savage Kingdom, but it ultimately didn't seem to go anywhere.

I'm totally gonna try teaming Stalker up with Raven when I reach that timeframe... Statistically speaking, Stalker looks pretty decent... Too bad he didn't amount to a whole lot.

Aethran OverMaster and The Gladiators in general starting from the start of Black Death. AOM has lost high profile matches/feuds against Paganax, Shayne, Chaos Supreme, Monolith, and Endgame. The only Gladiator team that has done anything for me has been the Black Death Aethran team of Havoc and Alpha Female. Coincidentally, Havoc/Alpha Female hold the distinction of holding the record for longest GWF tag title reign in my GWF universe.

The Titan's team from 2087 to 2130 would have to go under the mediocre category as well as the most of the Masked Assassins.
