I've been wanting to start a new LOW territorial-type fed for a while now. I decided to start with the LeBell territory based out of LA. My intent is to have about 6-7 matches per card and do a small update between cards to update feuds, fed news, etc when warranted. WWA #1 Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles ....Our first card will feature 3 matches plus a 20-man Battle Royal Main Event to fill the WWA Americas' championship title vacancy. A huge 8-man tag match between Rikidozan/The Destroyer/Don Leo Jonathan/Bobo Brazil vs Freddie Blassie/The Sheik/Pampero Firpo/Wild Bull Curry will be featured as well....Let's go to the action.... ---Our opener sees the team of Gorgeous George/Bobby Shane, collectively known as The Hollywood Blondes def. Tony Atlas/Koko B. Ware after Shane puts Koko to sleep w/ the JAPANESE SLEEPER. ---Another installment of the legendary feud between Pepper Gomez vs Ray Stevens goes to Stevens as the referee goes down during the match. Stevens' capitalizes by using a chair-assisted BOMBS AWAY to pin his arch-nemesis. ---The huge 8-man tag team match described earlier turned into a wild uncontrollable brawl. The fans were firmly behind the heroes and the boos rained down as Freddie Blassie continuously 'bites' into Rikidozan's forehead. The heels are DQ'd are The Sheik FIREBALLS Bobo Brazil but the wild action didn't stop there. With Dozan and Bobo down, the four heels went after Don Leo Jonathan and The Destroyer. The popular duo received a bruising beating until security could break up the brawl. A 30-min intermission had to be hastily scheduled to settle the riled up crowd down. During the break, a California State Athletic Commission representative actually suspended Blassie and The Sheik on the spot for their actions. Doctors would rule Dozan and Bobo out of the 20-Man Battle Royal as well. Main Event: 20-Man Battle Royal: WWA Americas' Championship: Participants: Antonio Rocca, Billy Red Lyons, Bobby Shane, Don Leo Jonathan, Gorgeous George, Greg Valentine, Ilio DiPaolo, Johnny Valentine, King Kong Bundy, Koko B. Ware, Magnificent Muraco, Mil Mascaras, Pampero Firpo, Pepper Gomez, Ray Stevens, Red Bastien, SD Jones, The Destroyer, Tony Atlas, and Wild Bull Curry. Order of Elimination: Bobby Shane (eliminated by Tony Atlas/Koko B. Ware) Ilio DiPaolo (eliminated by Greg Valentine) SD Jones (eliminated by King Kong Bundy) Billy Red Lyons (eliminated by Red Bastien) The Destroyer (eliminated by Pampero Firpo/Wild Bull Curry) Tony Atlas (eliminated by Gorgeous George) Gorgeous George (eliminated by Koko B. Ware Greg Valentine (eliminated by Antonio Rocca) Koko B. Ware (eliminated by King Kong Bundy) Don Leo Jonathan (eliminated by Pampero Firpo/Wild Bull Curry) Wild Bull Curry (eliminated by Mil Mascaras) Ray Stevens (eliminated by Pepper Gomez) Red Bastien (eliminated by Mil Mascaras) Johnny Valentine (eliminated by Antonio Rocca) Magnificent Muraco (eliminated by Pepper Gomez) Pepper Gomez (eliminated by Pampero Firpo)
....Last four remaining: Antonio Rocca, King Kong Bundy, Mil Mascaras, & Pampero Firpo.... Pampero Firpo is the first of the four eliminated after Mil Mascaras sends him tumbling to the floor w/ a Series of Dropkicks. King Kong Bundy was a huge thorn in the sides of Mascaras and Antonio Rocca as the popular duo tried several times in vain to eliminate the behemoth. Bundy thought he had won the Battle Royal after hitting a huge double clothesline that sent Mascaras and Rocca up and over the top rope. However, as Rocca tumbled to the floor, Mascaras was able to reach out and grab the top rope, saving the masked superstar from elimination. Mascaras scaled the turnbuckle and delivered the FLYING BODYPRESS as Bundy was celebrating near the ropes. The impact was enough to send Bundy over the top rope to the floor, giving Mascaras the win and the title. Mascaras celebrates with the WWA Americas' championship as Bundy throws a tantrum at ringside to close the show.

Good finish to the battle royal. Wonder if Mil Mascaras did the "skin the cat" move?
While the 8-man brawl caused the most fury, I liked the matchup in the tag-team opener. Looks like your Fed is off to a good start.

***Going Forward*** ---The aftermath of the 8-man tag team bout at WWA #1 is seeing more fallout as the California State Athletic Commission has suspended The Sheik for the remainder of the month (through Card #4) and fined him a month's pay. Freddie Blassie will serve a one week suspension and fined a week's pay. Bobo Brazil will miss at least the rest of the month, if not more time due to taking a FIREBALL in the face from Sheik. CSAC has officially warned Sheik about using his FIREBALL maneuver. However, they explained that a sanctioned referee would have to DQ Sheik for the move before CSAC could take official action. ---WWA officials have announced the promotion will hold a series of tag team bouts, bringing in teams from all over the country to compete against each other and already established WWA teams. Eventually, the WWA will crown tag team champions but officials have not given a timeline when this will happen. The first Tag Team Power Series match(es) will start on Card #3. ---The Main Event for Card #2 will see Americas' champion, Mil Mascaras defend his title against Antonio Rocca. Initially, King Kong Bundy made a big deal about not getting the first shot at Mascaras but suddenly, announced he would not be in the area for Card #2. The rest of the scheduled matches is listed below. Main Event: WWA Americas' Championship Mil Mascaras (c) vs Antonio Rocca
The Destroyer/Don Leo Jonathan vs Pampero Firpo/Wild Bull Curry
Ilio DiPaolo vs Greg Valentine
Pepper Gomez vs Magnificent Muraco
The Hollywood Blondes (Gorgeous George/Bobby Shane) w/ Cheri Dupre vs Tony Atlas/Koko B. Ware

WWA #2 Grand Olympic Auditorium, Los Angeles ---In our opener, the mysterious Masked Canadian got a resounding chorus of jeers during his entrance as he mocked the crowd relentlessly for his debut against SD Jones. The jeers got louder for Masked Canadian as he cheapshotted the popular prelim wrestler. Masked Canadian toyed with Jones before shouting something causing the referee to turn towards the crowd. Masked Canadian took the opportunity to blast Jones with a FOREIGN OBJECT before the referee turned around to make the 3-count. ---The Hollywood Blondes also score a tainted victory over Tony Atlas/Koko B. Ware as Cherie Dupree sprayed Atlas in the eyes with her hairspray. This gave George an opening as he finishes the match with a Small Package With Tights. --- Magnificent Muraco came into this match upset with Pepper Gomez because Gomez eliminated Muraco from the Battle Royal. Excellent match-up between the two until Ray Stevens and Nick Bockwinkel came down to ringside. This distracted Gomez, allowing Muraco to hit the HAWAIIAN HAMMER for the finish. Afterwards, Gomez made a challenge to Stevens/Bockwinkel which quickly got laughed off by the heel duo. ---Another match signed due to eliminations at the Battle Royal saw Greg Valentine score a hard-earned win over Ilio DiPaolo. DiPaolo had Greg up for the AIRPLANE SPIN but Greg threw his weight forward causing Ilio to snap his neck across the top rope. Greg drops a Falling Elbow Hammer to finish Ilio off. ---In a huge Grudge Match, The Destroyer/Don Leo Jonathan battled Pampero Firpo/Wild Bull Curry in a wild encounter. The two teams took turns squaring off against each other as the action seemed to get out of hand at times. The finish saw DLJ lift Firpo for the MORMON SWING and send Firpo crashing into Curry as Wild Bull tried to make the save. The action didn't stop there as it took tons of security to break the two teams up afterwards. Settle in, this feud looks to just be getting started. ---Our Main Event was one for the ages as Mil Mascaras put up his Americas' championship up against Antonio Rocca. We got hand shakes to a cheer from the crowd to start and settled into a great match. Twice, Rocca was able to get a shoulder up after a Mascaras' FLYING BODYPRESS for a long nearfall. Later on, Mascaras returned the favor, getting out of the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER when it seemed Mil was about to submit. However, after 30-minutes of this classic, the finish was marred by vicious attacks from King Kong Bundy and The Valentines. Bundy squashed Mil 'avalanche style' against the ringpost before dragging the champion back into the ring to deliver the AVALANCHE. Bundy mocked Mil by counting his own '5-count' and parading around the ring with the title belt. Meanwhile, Johnny/Greg went after Rocca as Rocca went down from the blows. Ilio DiPaolo ran down but soon met Antonio's fate as well. Johnny delivered a vicious ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER to both Antonio and Ilio before the hero locker room emptied out to make the save. As a result, the match is officially declared a NO CONTEST and Mil retains the Americas' championship. ....Stay tuned for 'Going Forward' for news and updates....

***Going Forward*** ---After last week's show, challenges galore were thrown about. We already had Pepper Gomez challenge Ray Stevens/Nick Bockwinkel but was laughed at after the challenge with Stevens asking why they should accept Gomez' challenge. Bockwinkel added that they didn't have the incentive to face Gomez and a mystery partner and that when you are the hottest free agents in the business, you get to pick and choose who you face. Another challenge thrown out this week came from Rikidozan as he challenged Freddie Blassie. While Blassie didn't refuse the challenge, he just simply ignored it and wouldn't even acknowledge the challenge when asked about it by reporters. Americas' champion, Mil Mascaras has signed to defend the title against King Kong Bundy at WWA #5 and Antonio Rocca/Ilio DiPaolo are looking to sign matches against The Valentines over the next few weeks as well. ---The Tag Team Power Series starts this week with newly signed WWA talent, Mr Fuji/Mr Saito facing The Fantastics. WWA officials announced more details concerning the TTPS, saying winning teams will compete until they lose in a 'Gauntlet-type' scenario. This reporter believes that this format will go a long way in determining WWA tag team champions in the future. WWA #3: Main Event: King Kong Bundy vs Tony Atlas
Tag Team Power Series: Mr Fuji/Mr Saito vs The Fantastics
The Destroyer vs Pampero Firpo
Ray Stevens vs Red Bastien
Freddie Blassie vs SD Jones
Masked Canadian vs Scott Casey

WWA #3 Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles ---The Masked Canadian versus Scott Casey match starts us off and Masked Canadian gets a ton of boos for his heelish antics, both before and during the match. Once again, Masked Canadian yells at the referee, pointing to the crowd, and takes advantage w/ the FOREIGN OBJECT shot to score another unpopular pinfall. ---Fresh off his week long suspension, Freddie Blassie gives the crowd an earful on the house mike. Blassie gets in a shouting match with a few members of the crowd when they call him chicken for not accepting Rikidozan's challenge. The crowd was solidly behind 'Philly's Favorite Son' SD Jones and Jones scored a few shots on Blassie. However, Blassie quickly turned it around with a Blatant Choke Hold before landing the SOUTHERN NECKBREAKER to pick up the win. --- Red Bastien vs Ray Stevens was up next as Nick Bockwinkel accompanied Stevens to the ring. Stevens dominated throughout thanks to several distractions from Bockwinkel. However, the tide turned when Pepper Gomez came out and caught Bock with a stiff right to the jaw. Stevens, distracted by Gomez, started jawing with his nemesis but turned around into Bastien's ATOMIC DROP for the finish. Stevens and Bockwinkel were livid afterwards as they were upstaged by Gomez. --- The Destroyer and Pampero Firpo put on a brutal battle as eight tokens were accumulated between the two. Destroyer ended up bleeding through his mask and Firpo had to keep wiping blood out of his eyes. The finish saw the referee out of position and miss a cheap shot by Firpo. This set up EL GARFIO for the finish. Afterwards, Don Leo Jonathan was out to protest the decision but ended up getting blindsided by Wild Bull Curry. DLJ was beaten to a pulp by Firpo/Curry before security could intervene. ---The first match of our Tag Team Power Series was next as Mr Fuji/Mr Saito battled The Fantastics in an excellent bout. The Fantastics took the bout after landing the ROCKET LAUNCHER on Mr Fuji. The Fantastics will be back next week to face another team in the TTPS. ---Our Main Event saw King Kong Bundy square off against Tony Atlas. The two traded crushing blows back and forth before Tony misses a turnbuckle charge and Bundy started working over Tony's back area. Bundy dropped the AVALANCHE on Tony but Tony kicked out when Bundy insisted on a 5-count. Tony battled back and attempted to lift Bundy for the PRESS SLAM & SPLASH but Tony's back gave out. Bundy quickly dropped a second AVALANCHE and insisted on a 3-count this time to finish Tony off.

WWA #4 Grand Olympic Auditorium; Los Angeles ---The Masked Canadian gets things started against Frank Dalton and gets his now customary rousing jeer from the crowd for everything from his entrance to everything he does in the ring. Once again, Masked Canadian points to the crowd, distracting the referee, and hits Dalton w/ a FOREIGN OBJECT to pickup the win. ---The Hollywood Blondes score another controversial win over Tony Atlas/Koko B. Ware after Cherie Dupree distracts the referee. This allows Bobby Shane to cheapshot Koko B. Ware, sending the 'Birdman' into the SPINNING TOE HOLD by Gorgeous George for the finish. --- Ray Stevens was looking for a little revenge from Billy Red Lyons as Nick Bockwinkel was again in Stevens' corner. Stevens controlled early and often but once again, Pepper Gomez came out to start jawing with Bockwinkel. Bock went for a sucker punch but ended up hitting Stevens' instead. Lyons followed with a Rolling Reverse Cradle to get another win over Stevens. ---The Tag Team Power Series featured The Fantastics taking on Ivan Koloff/Boris Zhukov. The Fantastics pull one out as they nail Zhukov w/ the ROCKET LAUNCHER and will be back next week. ---Our next bout saw Pepper Gomez face Magnificent Muraco in a hard-hitting match. Gomez got a taste of his own medicine when he got distracted by Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens after the they came down to ringside. The distraction allowed Muraco to hit the HAWAIIAN HAMMER to get the win. Afterwards, Bockwinkel and Stevens looked to inflict more damage to Gomez but The Crusher ran out from the back and chased the heels from ringside. --- Don Leo Jonathan survived a brutal onslaught from Wild Bull Curry to get the win w/ the MORMON SWING. ---Our Main Event was a huge 6-man tag bout between Mil Mascaras/Antonio Rocca/Ilio DiPaolo vs King Kong Bundy/The Valentines. The rudos scored a tainted win after Bundy clocked DiPaolo with the Americas' championship belt, allowing Greg to pick up the win after a Falling Elbow Hammer. Afterwards, Bundy delivered a title belt assisted AVALANCHE on Mascaras. Will the champ be 100% going into his title defense against Bundy next week?

Great action so far but will you have an announcement on how the Power Series will help determine tag-team champions?

Humanoids4eva , I my have painted myself into a corner with that remark....lol. But, I'm thinking along the lines of either the team with the most wins over a certain period of time gets named the WWA tag team champions or receives a bye into the WWA tag team tourney semi-finals.
