How do you determine who battles for the straps in your promotion?
For me, you have to beat the champ to get a title shot. In my fed, I don't do story lines - I strictly do winners vs winners and losers vs losers.
You folks?

I usually base it off of wins or storylines. Sometimes I'll throw a four corners match on a show and the winner gets a title shot.

I am trying to find a way to mix it up.
I put the winners of a card in a pile, and a group of losers in a pile. I then put the winners on top of the loser piles and that makes the next card except for title matches. For title matches, the highest winner in the winner's pile goes against the champion. If he wins, he gets a title shot. If he loses he goes onto the loser pile and falls down the card.
What should I do to mix it up?

I like the four corners match to shake things up. You can get some crazy contenders coming out of those. Mini-tournaments are good as well.

Hmm, maybe I could make a four corners match a certain match on every card. I like to do the same sort of matches on every card. I have a huge roster too so maybe this will help use more talent. I am in 2095 at the moment.

This is what I am going to do to change things up when booking shows.
Match 1 - Singles Match 2 - Singles Match 3 - Tag Match 4 - Tag Match 5 - Singles Match 6 - Singles Match 7 - Singles Match 8 - Singles Match 9 - 4 Way for opportunity to face HVT champ Match 10 - Tag Title Match (must beat champs to earn a shot) Match 11 - Holovision Title Match (must beat champ to earn a shot) Match 12 - HVT Title Match (must beat champ to earn a shot)
Winners move up the card, losers move down the card.
Think this will work well!

I am in 2095 at the moment. I do something similar for my various feds (Ring of Vegas, Combat Vegas Wrestling) in my Vegas Indy Universe where I actually have traditional Vegas 4 way elimination matches to open up every PPV where the winner gets a #1 contender's match for that fed's secondary championship. I really like my system because it makes my feds sort of unique, allows me to put more wrestlers on my PPVs, and can shake up the title scene really quickly. I have enjoyed my system alot so I think you will like your plan too once you start it.
