Revival #19 was rocking from start to finish. It was crazy to see the Road Warriors lose both of their singles matches to the Foreign Legion by DQ. That does set up the upcoming tag title match nicely though. The Wildside Rules battle between Harley Race and Kevin Steen did not disappoint. A great match and a great win for Race. The post-match involvement of Curt Henning and DDP was great especially with DDP hitting the Diamond Cutter. Greg Valentine over Randy Savage via submission was shocking. A huge win for "The Hammer" for sure. Looking forward to the next show my friend.

Road Warriors retain. their recent feud with the Legion I see a DQ here. triple threat mayhem...Harley Race with the win as DDP and Henning are going to forget about him and go after each other. The Briscoes shutdown the Final Countdown (and now the song is in my head once again) Gorgeous George steals the win from Lynn. and more along with someone forgetting to lock the door as Moxley returns

Always pleased to know you're enjoying the ride, @kevinb , cruefan68 and barflymike4ever ... The Road Warriors were simply in no mood for nonsense on the last show - Expecting things to escalate quickly when they defend the tag belts against Iron Sheik and Volkoff... In case any of my fellow promoters are interested, Buddy Rogers will have his first title defense on card #21... At present, I'm not sure who will be the challenger, but I can tell you this - The field has been narrowed to the following four men... Curt Hennig, Harley Race, Lou Thesz or Bobo Brazil... All will be decided on the next show... After that, it's onto the Breakaway Challenge... Cards #22 through #24 will include the first two rounds of this 32-man tournament... Thinking I am only going to use wrestlers from the early indy sets for this event - Specifically, the first two ROH sets, the two CWFH sets, the first two CZW sets and the first Chikara set... And maybe a wrestler or two from the NPWD six-pack... Truly appreciate the continued interest and kind words, my friends... Many thanks!

Revival #20: Blaze of Glory Tour from Cessna Stadium (Wichita, KS)
AJ Styles vs. Brutus Beefcake AJ Styles defeated Brutus Beefcake via pinfall at 5:31 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Just as Beefcake starts gaining momentum, Styles avoids a running elbow into the corner and counters with a discus clothesline. Styles plants Beefcake with the STYLES CLASH and rolls him over for a three count. (Fatigue: Styles 1 - Beefcake 1)
Styles insults Randy Savage, recounting his recent loss to Greg Valentine. He calls Savage a coward who never goes anywhere without his female bodyguard. Commissioner Morpheus arrives and lets the crowd know that Savage is not in the building. Since Styles is so eager to tear into the Macho Man, he will have his chance at Revival #25: Against All Odds – Where the two men will face off inside the steel cage!
Eddie Edwards (w/ Davey Richards) vs. Frank Dalton Eddie Edwards defeated Frank Dalton via pinfall at 6:19 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Dalton's noble effort falls short and Edwards puts him away with DIE HARD, a cross-legged fisherman buster. (Fatigue: Dalton 2)
Deciding this contest was simply a warmup, Edwards tells his tag partner that a rematch against the Taylors might be a good idea. Davey Richards agrees and the two men issue a challenge to the rival team. Commissioner Morpheus answers by saying that even though a rematch sounds good, the Taylors are not in the building.
Final Countdown vs. The Briscoes Jay Briscoe defeated Bryan Danielson via pinfall at 9:10 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Before the match begins, Danielson starts running his mouth. He proclaims that the Briscoes are a pair of rednecks and this time he is going to injure both of them. Although he remains silent under his mask, El Generico appears uncomfortable with the rant.
El Generico comes in hot, causing major problems for the Briscoes until Danielson demands to be tagged into the match. The advantage immediately swings in the other direction and Jay shuts Danielson down with a JAY DRILLER. (Fatigue: JBriscoe 1, MBriscoe 1 - Danielson 4)
Gorgeous George (w/ Cherie Dupre) vs. Jerry Lynn Gorgeous George defeated Jerry Lynn via submission at 18:42 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Both men are bloody and broken by the end of this unbelievable conflict! Involvement by Cherie aggravates the ref and when Rhino and Rob Van Dam both arrive, he nearly tosses out the match. Botched interference by RVD leads to Lynn receiving a roundhouse kick to the head! George capitalizes on the mistake and traps Lynn in the Gorgeous Grip until he passes out. (Fatigue: George 4 - Lynn 6)
Davey Richards (w/ Eddie Edwards) vs. Wild Bill White Davey Richards defeated Wild Bill White via submission at 8:38 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Toying with his opponent almost costs Richards the match. The near fall seems to wake him up and Richards unloads with an intense series of strikes. He takes White to the mat and clamps on the ANKLE LOCK, forcing him to tap out. (Fatigue: Richards 1 - White 3)
Knowing full well that the Taylors are not present, the Wolves begin talking trash about the father-son duo. 2 Cold Scorpio and Marty Jannetty answer the call instead, but Commissioner Morpheus interrupts. Since the card is fully booked, these four men will have to work things out on the next show.
- The Lunatic Fringe - Bobo Brazil appears to share his opinion on the current title scene. As one of the top ranked competitors in the company, he is willing to be patient and knows he will get his chance when the time is right. Leva Bates is visibly interested in the big man and Jon Moxley has fun teasing his associate about her infatuation. Suddenly, Jimmy Snuka charges onto the stage! He shoves Leva out of the way and brutally assaults Brazil, yelling like a madman that Brazil would never be able to beat him under fair circumstances. While Moxley checks on Leva to make sure she is not seriously hurt, Brazil makes it to his feet. A wild brawl erupts and security is summoned to separate the two men.
- Triple Threat - Curt Hennig vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Harley Race Harley Race defeated Diamond Dallas Page via pinfall at 19:48 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: All three men take their time sizing up the opposition. The battle gradually picks up steam until it's moving at a blistering pace. Race plasters DDP with a PILEDRIVER for a near fall. Hennig breaks up the cover and gets Race into position for a HENNIGPLEX. Out of nowhere, DDP nails Hennig with a DIAMOND CUTTER. Rock Riddle shows up and distracts DDP from going for the win. Race capitalizes on the situation. A skull splitting lariat followed by a backbreaker is enough to keep DDP down for a three count. (Fatigue: Race 2 - DDP 4 - Hennig 3)
Riddle points at Race and calls him the true number one contender for the Revival Heavyweight title. Race seems a little curious about Riddle's motives, but does not argue the point. This brings Lou Thesz from the back, claiming that he deserves to be the number one contender. Commissioner Morpheus settles the matter by scheduling a match on the spot. If Thesz can defeat the former champion, Bruiser Brody, he will be next in line for a shot at the title!
Bruiser Brody vs. Lou Thesz Bruiser Brody defeated Lou Thesz via pinfall at 9:16 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Superb counter wrestling allows Thesz to dominate the majority of the action, but Brody muscles his way to victory following a JUMPING KNEE DROP. (Fatigue: Brody 2 - Thesz 2)
- Championship Match - Road Warriors vs. Foreign Legion for the Revival Tag Team Championship Animal defeated Iron Sheik via pinfall at 9:54 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Morgan Dollar is out to officiate the match and the Road Warriors warn him that he better do his job right. Appearing flustered, Dollar promises not to disappoint the reigning champs (-1 PIN/DQ for Road Warriors).
Animal fights his way through a brutal double team to make a much needed tag. After Hawk cleans house, Animal drops Sheik with a POWERSLAM to claim the win. (Fatigue: Animal 2 - Sheik 1, Volkoff 2)
Road Warriors retained the Revival Tag Team Championship
Overall Card Rating: 2.81

The Phenomenal One cuts down the Barber. and Morpheus makes a great match for #25 Die Hard with the win over Dalton. wow. the American Dragon got slayed. Final Countdown on paper seems like a great combination but in action they aren't doing that well. George puts away Lynn. American Wolf Richards puts away White. the Wolves are doing rather well Snuka is on a rampage and Leva has a crush Harley Race is an uncrowned god! the man has been impressive. Bruiser Brody continues to win and the only thing keeping him from a title is a contract. well the Road Warriors retain the Revival Tag straps. freakin' great show Pariah!

The Gorgeous one defeats Lynn!!!... Wow! I'm sure he and RVD will have words over the botched interference.
Looking more and more like Race is moving into a title shot.
Brody out wrestles Thsz, now that's HUGE!
Road Warrior starting on their reign of dominance, all too familiar with it.
Fan'Freakin'Tasic card my friend!

Only one more show and then we're onto the Breakaway Challenge, featuring 32 stars of the indy circuit... In case you missed my earlier post, it will be cards from the first 2 ROH, CZW and CWFH sets (and I might throw in 1 or 2 from the NPWD six-pack)... barflymike4ever - As stated, Danielson & El Generico look great on paper, but can't get their act together... Keep in mind that I'm currently using their Chikara cards which are definitely not as effective as their respective ROH cards... @kevinb - Thesz folded under pressure and since Brody signed that no rematch clause, there is only one man worthy of challenging Buddy Rogers for the Revival Heavyweight title on the next show... And his name is Harley Race... Always appreciate the awesome feedback, my friends... Many thanks!

Aj Styles vs. Randy Savage inside of a Steel Cage - enough said! That is one match I am really looking forward to. I thoroughly enjoyed the action at Revival #20 especially with Bruiser Brody posting a clean win over Lou Thesz. Awesome. Congrats to the Road Warriors on retaining the tag titles against the Foreign Legion and to Harley Race on winning a tough Triple Threat Match over DDP and Curt Hennig. One thing I really liked was the Bobo Brazil vs. Jimmy Snuka angle as a feud between those two could be really good. Keep the great action coming my friend.
