even if the advertisement I read was incorrect, it really was being advertised as a G1 Climax show- the first post on this thread is where I copied and pasted that advertisement. but I don't really care about the actual status of these shows, I simply want to go see NJPW in July. No, it wasn't. You copied and pasted something from a site that read "G1" and ran with it. I literally posted a screencap from the video (and the video itself) where they announced the shows showing that they billed the shows as G1 Special when they announced them. The only people who have ever thought these were G1 Climax shows were people who didn't bother to do any actual research.
With that said, I hope you have fun at the shows. Those ticket prices are kind of insane but maybe they'll give you something good. You gonna be OK?

I copied and pasted that on January 4th and almost 3 months later I do not remember the source, at the time it just seemed like someone trying to advertise/promote the upcoming shows in July. I didn't mean it was NJPW advertising them as Climax shows. I changed the title on this thread to make it more accurate. When you saw the ticket prices, by any chance did you a seating chart? If the rows of seats are all on the floor or if some are elevated can be a deciding factor for me in terms of what row to buy (it seems like all floor seating based on how the prices are listed.)

Nah, I didn't see a seating chart. There's a Ticketmaster link on their English site, but it just goes to the Ticketmaster homepage. I'm guessing they'll reveal the seating chart the day tickets go live. Bear in mind the show is basically happening at Animecon and generally when New Japan do convention shows it's all floor seating but they could have a different set up for these shows.

Here's the picture that's been going around on twitter. All floor seating.

It is kind of confusing to call these G1 shows if its not part of the G1 tournament. But I guess its kind of like WWE running a Wrestlemania Revenge Tour or something like that. Those ticket prices are pretty insane, but they will sell out. I'm guessing we will see more tours in the future and prices may come down a bit with loner tours, but not by much.

Kyle OReilly won the ROH title last night and said after the match he was taking it to Orlando. So stay tuned. Well, ROH has a show this afternoon in Lakeland, FL which is about an hour from Orlando. Could just be a line to generate headlines....
