I've gotta go with War Games 2092. When I got the original set, there was a 2092 flyer in it and Chaos just blew me away. I couldn't wait to get to 2092 and experience his awesomeness.
Plus, you had Pit Viper unmasking to become DragonMaster, Comrade Terror upgrading to Dreadnaught (first use of the Transvolver IIRC), and the debut of Ursa Major (first official GWF jobber). Pretty groundbreaking stuff.

I remember that very flyer. It definitely looked great. I didn't budge on buying the sets until that gladiator ad in pwi.

I miss those flyers. True they're probably not worthwhile nowadays but you got all your teasers at once and your mind could explode with the possibilities.

My most under-the-radar favorite year was Sudden Death 2113. The intra-feuds between Villain teams and Hero teams to see who'd lead each camp in '14 was one of the freshest ideas in the game's history and led to all kinds of cool cards for me, up and down from the openers to the main events.

Star Warrior v Thantos & Pulsar v Bishop Hell feud years were the best . Not sure the years ? .

Star Warrior v Thantos & Pulsar v Bishop Hell feud years were the best . Not sure the years ? . I think the Thantos vs. Star Warrior feud was in 2087 and the Pulsar vs. Bishop Hell one was in 2101. That's about as close as I'm guessing. |

Star Warrior vs Thantos was 87-92 and 94-95 (in 93 Thantos feuded with Alpha Force and Chaos while Star Warrior feuded with Bounty Hunter and Matador) Pulsar and Bishop feuded in 90, 91, 99 and then 2101-2104 I want to say.

I would have to say the early sets are my favorites...although Future Shock 2130 has me jonesing and salivating to catch up!

Sudden Death 2094; 1st Larry Snelly art! The New Order, HOLY SMOKES, it was incredible!

I'm a big fan of masked wrestlers so I liked it when Darkos formed the Masked Assassins, and then he later became a wrestler and revealed that Magnus Colby was the real manager of the team. I also liked the CPC story where Saboteur reformed the team.
