Thank you for the comments and predictions walkswithwolf , Pariah , TTX , aceldamas , rjretro , Vegas , and joebreakdown Rob Van Dam (8) v. Chaz Taylor (25) Ringside is buzzing for this one. Van Dam is his cocky self and while showboating he nearly catches Morgan Dollar with a kick. Dollar ends up on his pants, shaken but unharmed. He is able to call for the bell. Van Dam is all over Taylor. A pair of rolling firemanβs carries sets up a standing moonsault. Van Dam with a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH and that is it (R4/P6). Taylor has no offense the entire match! Dollar appears relieved that this one ends quickly. Up next . . . . Buddy Rogers (4) v. Lenny Lane (29)

Pleased that RVD is moving into round two... And I can't imagine what would have to happen for the Nature Boy not to advance... Awesome stuff!

I am enjoying the tournament thus far, Bookerbill, and it is cool to see you going for the color cards exclusively this year. I almost forgot that Lenny Lane has a color card. I really wish we could get those years of PP in printed card form. I am going with Buddy Rogers but since we have not had a dreaded DQ yet I could actually see Lane pulling the technical upset.

Thank you again for the predictions and comments . . .
Buddy Rogers (4) v. Lenny Lane (29)
Talk about arrogance. Rogers cranks up the intensity with slap and strut before grabbing a headlock and going to work. It is all Rogers including dropkicks and a nasty looking back elbow. Jumping knee smash is on target and gets a two count (R8/P4). Rogers tosses Lane to the floor and follows him outside. Both men risk disqualification but Morgan Dollar eventually gets the action back between the ropes. They go back to the floor and Dr. Lano runs for his life. Back in the ring, Rogers rolls up Lane and uses the ropes for a two count (R7/P5). Rogers applies a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE and claims a very one sided victory (R4/P10).
Up Next . . .
Curt Hennig (13) v. Marty Jannetty (20)
