Definitely advanced. Basic matches just feel too short.
My website devoted to pro-wrestling related newspaper & magazine articles from the early days of pro-wrestling through today: classicwrestlingarticles.wordpress.com - More than 2,100 Articles Posted!!!
I'm not sure if I read this from another promoter or if I came up with it myself, pretty sure I got it from someone; anywhoo, I use the basic pin for a finisher (gives the finisher more meaning) and use the advanced pin for a regular pin/tap out victory (stops the flash pin from happening in most cases)
Some times for me the advanced pin attempt would be too long of a match. But then the basic pin leads to too quick of a match at times.
I might use basic in a Battle Royal setting to hurry the action along a little more- But other than that - Never. It just makes the flow a little more unpredictable and interesting. Gives lower rated cards a fighting chance.
