As I've been away for a while, I've been looking through some of the newer game editions (2127-current) and must admit, a lot of it looks really cool. I've noticed what looks like the return of classic wrestlers to the game. Not sure if these are the originals returned via time travel, or 2nd generation talent that has taken up the name/gimmick of GWF legends.
I was wondering, what are some of the best newer game editions in your guys opinions and if I were looking to run a more current fed, where would you guys suggest I start off at? New Beginnings, or maybe somewhere a bit closer to the current edition?
The Black Death series looks especially interesting to me and I was wondering about your guys thoughts on it and the sets that followed.

I'd lean starting with 2125 and go from there.

I'd lean starting with 2125 and go from there. To be honest, I was pretty luke warm on New Beginning's through Subversion era, but around 2126/2127 there start to be some very interesting sounding wrestlers showing up, almost as if it took Tom a few editions to really get rolling in the new era of GWF wrestling. The Aethran Overmaster is a favorite wrestler that I have never even seen the card for, but he just sounds so cool that I know he'll be a favorite once I have his card in my hands. The Gladiators FTW!

It's been really nice since 27. Tom created a huge storyline and when you think you have it sorted he puts in a new twist or three.

It is but once you get each layer....it makes sense...but makes you wonder what Tom is building towards....perhaps the biggest battle of all.

Hi DMKII, I second starting at 2125 tho it gets heel heavy during Black Death so brace for that. It's so worth it once you get to the Alternate wrestlers! I wish Tom kept the idea of alternate classic wrestlers coming back and forth a little longer it was genius!

I agree that the alternate was great and would have also liked a bit more.

I enjoy the alternate wrestlers but it could quickly become a crutch. Still, I trust that Tom has several amazing ideas coming and that a few alternate wrestlers might still spring up from time to time.

2125 is a great start. I just didn’t like the Infinity Challenge.
