No surprise that Handsome Harley is moving onto the next round... And I think most people expect he'll go far...
Iron Sheik is a tough customer, but as long as Snuka can avoid any big mistakes (such as missing a Superfly Leap at a critical moment), I expect he will emerge victorious...
Always fun!

Bobby Fulton and Harley Race advance on. I have a feeling that Race is going to be in the top 4 at least. Thinking The Superfly gets it done next. This is THE Tournament bookerbill!

Jimmy Snuka (12) v. Iron Sheik (21)
Snuka and Sheik struggle from the lock up and Snuka comes away with a series of headbutts and a piledriver. Sheik counters a vicious chop with a well-timed boot to the gut and pushes Snuka into the ropes but Superfly counters the attempted backdrop with a piledriver. We go to the floor and Snuka gets the best of the brawl with the fans loving it. Back inside, Snuka mounts the corner for a SUPERFLY LEAP but Sheik kicks out! (R9/P5). Snuka keeps on Sheik including a deathjump smash and a head butt. Another piledriver crumples Sheik who wisely rolls outside. Snuka comes outside and smashes Sheik across the back with a chair. The fans are roaring but Morgan Dollar is scolding. Back in the ring, Snuka crushes Sheik with a SUPERFLY LEAP and moves onto the next round. (R6/P6).
Up Next . . . my first time using a Rock 'n' Roll Express card!!! Road Warriors Hawk w/Paul Ellering (5) v. Robert Gibson (28)

Figured Snuka would take it. Hawk vs Gibson should be interesting.

I keep falling behind but congrats to Bobby Fulton, Harley Race and Jimmy Snuka on advancing. I'm going with Road Warrior Hawk in the next bout.

Looks like Snuka was lucky to avoid the DQ in that one... Good thing Dollar was in a lenient mood...
Gonna be fun to see one half of the Rn'R Express in action... But, he pulled a really tough draw for the first round... Picking Hawk to win...
Keep on rollin'!

Road Warriors Hawk w/Paul Ellering (5) v. Robert Gibson (28)
Morgan Dollar has some strong words for Paul Ellering who is not pleased and as a result, Dollar sends him packing. Gibson uses his speed to avoid Hawk’s attack. A back elbow smash catches Hawk in the chin and sets up a GIBSON LEGLOCK but Hawk is not finished that easily (R4/P2) making the ropes. Hawk gets the knees up to catch Gibson in the corner but moments later a backdrop is countered with a piledriver to the Road Warrior. Gibson goes back to the GIBSON LEGLOCK but once again Hawk escapes (R7/P3). Moonsault from Gibson misses but Hawk sends Gibson into the ropes a short time later and Gibson counters a backdrop with another piledriver. Enzuigiri connects and so does a second attempt at a moonsault. Big haymaker dazes Hawk who gets sent into the ropes but manages to counter a clothesline with one of his own. They go outside and Dr. Mike Lano heads for cover. Hawk battering rams Gibson into the ring post! Running clothesline kills a bloody Gibson and a jumping fist drop lands. Gibson ducks a dropkick but Hawk no sells a knee lift and the crushes Gibson with a vertical suplex. Hawk covers for one (R10/P3) and the punishes the rock ‘n’ roller with an over the shoulder backbreaker. Gibson escapes for a breather but is caught when he comes back in with a gut wrench suplex. Hawk hooks the leg for two (R7/P4) and then goes to the top for a deathjump that takes out Morgan Dollar (4 moves). Running clothesline connects followed by a falling fist drop. Gibson goes into the ropes and on the rebound cradles Hawk. No referee! Enzuigir connects and Gibson covers as the fans count to three but Dollar is just regaining his legs! GIBSON LEGLOCK and the fans are on their feet. Hawk powers out (R11/P6). Moonsault misses. Dropkick from Hawk misses. Drop toe hold from Gibson but a body slam is countered. Dropkick hits. Gorilla press slam shakes the ring and the follow up dropkick is ducked. Body slam attempt is countered into a verticals suplex and another gorilla press slam follows. Gibson goes into the ropes and rebounds with tackle. Pace is picking up. Whip to the corner is reversed and Hawk connects with a kick. In the ropes and Gibson again counters a backdrop with a piledriver. They go to the floor and Gibson fires away with the fans cheering each blow. Back inside, Gibson goes to the top but is caught and slammed to the mat. Hawk is fired up and locks in an over the shoulder backbreaker followed but gut wrench suplexes, a fist drop and pair of vertical suplexes. Hawk hooks the leg . . .1, 2, kick out (R6/P5). Over the shoulder backbreaker does more damage and Gibson falls to the floor. Hawk pursues and batters Gibson outside. Back in the ring a running clothesline connects but Gibson again avoids a backdrop with a piledriver. They go back to the floor and Gibson is press slammed back into the ring. Gibson catches Hawk on the top with a superplex counter and then locks in a GIBSON LEGLOCK. The fans are roaring but Hawk makes the ropes (R10/P7). Enzuigiri connects but a moonsault misses again! Hawk misses a dropkick and Gibson fires up with a big haymaker and a knee lift. Spinning toe hold and Hawk again makes the ropes (R11/P8). GIBSON LEGLOCK and Hawk is out of the tournament (R6/P9)
After a somewhat lackluster weekend, business sure picked up!
Up next, the other half of the Rock n Roll Express and the other finalist from last year...
Rob Van Dam (2) v. Ricky Morton (31)
