REBEL WRESTLING YEAR 2 Saturday Night Special 6: Carolina Coliseum--Columbia, South Carolina(Hour 1)
The show opens with Commissioner Lou Thesz in his office. He doesn't look happy. Thesz: "Good evening, ladies & gentlemen. At the end of last week's show, The Highwaymen & The Four Horsemen were involved in a parking lot brawl when a masked man--a 'Dark Horseman'--slammed the door of Blackjack Mulligan's pickup truck onto his arm. As a result, Blackjack Mulligan has a broken arm and will be out of action indefinitely. Mulligan assures me that he'll be back sooner rather than later. I'm fining J.J. Dillon, Barry Windham, Tully Blanchard & Larry Zbyszko an undisclosed amount of money and suspending them for 2 weeks. I can't punish this 'Dark Horseman' because I don't know who he is, but I promise you, I'll find out. The Horsemen will return 2 weeks from tonight in Jacksonville, Florida, when Barry Windham defends the National Championship against #1 Contender Randy Savage. Thank you and enjoy the show."
Dr. Mike Lano: "The Commish is laying down the law! We have a great show for you tonight with Bruiser Brody defending the World Title against the man who beat him for the TV Title, Alexis Smirnoff, in a Last Man Standing Match. Brody issued the challenge last week because he wants to know who the better man is." Jim Cornette: "After fighting to a double disqualification last week, Stan Hansen & Gorgeous George will meet in a Lumberjack Match. We also have the new National Tag Team Champions Texas Hangmen teaming with Hardcore Champion Abdullah The Butcher against Rat Pack, and Legion Of Doom vs. Heenan Family. But right now, we have two popular tag teams in the ring ready for competition."
MATCH 1: Bob & Brad Armstrong vs. Too Cool(Scott Taylor & Brian Christopher): This was a back and forth match between 2 evenly matched tag teams. Brad got 2 near-falls on Taylor with RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP. Christopher hit Bob with sunset flip powerbomb to the floor for a near-fall. Brad later hit Christopher with RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP for the win. Armstrongs & Too Cool shake hands after the match as fans cheer, but James Gang(B.G. James & Kip James)enter the ring and hit everyone with chairs! B.G.: "Oh, you didn't know? Your ass better call somebody! It's me. It's me. It's good ol' B.G. rollin' once again with the K--to the I--to the P. Now, the last time you saw us, we beat my family at Carolina Combat. No, we beat my old man because we didn't even let big brother tag into the match! But were we in the National Tag Team Title Tournament? No! The Southern Confederation of Promoters who own Rebel Wrestling made us sit at home because our contracts were negotiated by our former manager Jonny Fairplay. They told us that since Fairplay was forced out because of a match stipulation, we needed to renegotiate our contracts." Kip: "Well, we're back now, and we're (bleeped) off. We're better than Armstrongs. We're better than those second-rate James Gang wannabees Too Cool. And we're gonna prove it by beating the Hell out of anyone we want, anytime we want. If you're not down with that, we've got 2 words for ya...Suck it!" Dogg hit a big overhead belly-to- belly suplex that knocked Whipwreck out of his boots! Dogg covered him for the 3-count. After the match, D'Lo Brown came out with a mic and said. "You all know that I teamed with Koko B. Ware as Soul Patrol. What you don't know, is Koko decided to leave Rebel Wrestling. I've been looking for a new partner, and I think I found one. I think we'd make a good team, Dogg. I don't need an answer now. Think about it." WINNER: Redd Dogg--3 fatigues pinned Mikey Whipwreck--2 fatigues with overhead belly-to-belly suplex
MATCH 3: Shane Douglas & Francine with Impact Players(Steve Corino & Justin Credible) vs. Mystery Team: The Franchise & his Head Cheerleader issued an open challenge last week for a Mixed Tag Team Match. A voice from the back says, "Hello, ladies!", and Val Venis walks out to cheers. He says, "You know something, ladies, the Big Valbowski's been making a new movie. It's actually a parody of the Triple Threat called Triple Team, and yours truly plays a much better-looking version of The Franchise. My partner tonight is also my co-star who plays a way sexier version of Francine--Trish Stratus!". Fans are shocked at the Rebel Wrestling debut of one of the most beautiful & talented women in wrestling history! Stratus got 2 quick near-falls on Francine, but Francine was able to tag Douglas. That meant Venis had to tag in. Douglas was obviously mad about Venis' pre-match comments and beat the Hell out of him. Douglas busted open Venis with PITTSBURGH PLUNGE, and Venis tagged Stratus. Francine reluctantly re-entered the ring, and Stratus hit her with STRATUSFACTION for the 1-2-3. Casey & Houston have officially dropped the Rhinestone Cowboys name for The Highwaymen name that Blackjack Mulligan gave this group last week. Highwaymen had their way with Albano before Mantell finally put him away with RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP. After the match, Mantell took the mic and said, "J.J. Dillon! I know you masterminded that attack in the parking lot last week, and I know you brought in that Dark Horseman to break Blackjack's arm. I also know that Commissioner Lou Thesz suspended the Four Horsemen for this week & next week. That's why I'm asking Commissioner Thesz to give me a one-on-one match with J.J. Dillon next week. I want that son of a (bleep) without having to look over my shoulder for outside interference.". Thesz comes out and says, "I'll grant that match. But Casey & Houston are banned from ringside. No Highwaymen at ringside. No Horsemen in the building. Just Mantell vs. Dillon one-one-one next week!". WINNER: Highwaymen(Johnny Mantell--0 fatigue, Scott Casey--0 fatigue & Sam Houston--0 fatigue) beat Full Blooded Italians(Angelo Poffo--0 fatigue, Mike DiBiase--o fatigue & Lou Albano--2 fatigues) when Mantell pinned Albano with RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP

Heenan Family made quick tags to have their way with Bundy. Bockwinkel made Bundy bleed with choke on ropes. Eventually, Superstar tagged into the match. Race got near-falls with DIVING HEAD BUTT & VERTICAL SUPLEX before getting the win with PILEDRIVER. Heenan took the mic and said, "I told you we'd win, Ellering. You want me in the ring, 'Precious' Paul? You got it! Next week, I'll team up with Nick & Ray to win the Six-Man Tag Team Titles!". WINNER: Heenan Family(Harley Race--0 fatigue, Curt Hennig--1 fatigue, Nick Bockwinkel--0 fatigue & Ray Stevens--2 fatigues) beat Legion Of Doom(Masked Superstar--2 fatigues, King Kong Bundy--5 fatigues & Road Warriors: Hawk--0 fatigue & Animal--0 fatigue) when Race pinned Superstar with PILEDRIVER
MATCH 6: Stan Hansen vs. Gorgeous George in a Lumberjack Match: The lumberjacks assigned to the match are Magnum T.A., Joe Blanchard, Red Bastien, Larry Hennig, Ox Baker, Killer Kowalski, "Wild" Bull Curry & Al Snow. Lano tells viewers that George's valet Cherie Dupre is banned from ringside because her actions last week led to a double disqualification. Cornette tells viewers that she sprayed disinfectant in Hansen's eyes which led to Hansen throwing George out of the ring and clotheslining him over the barricade. Then George smashed Hansen over the head with a beer bottle, and the ref called fro a Double DQ. That's when Commissioner Lou Thesz made this match. George looked lost without his valet. He left the ring where he was brutally double-teamed by the lumberjacks. They tossed him back into the ring where Hansen greeted him with LARIAT for the win. WINNER: Stan Hansen--0 fatigue pinned Gorgeous George--0 fatigue with LARIAT in a Lumberjack Match

Can they continue their winning ways tonight with Abdullah? Abdullah stabbed Williams with foreign object. Then he hit karate thrust to throat for a near-fall. Abdullah threw Williams out of the ring and gave chase. A brawl erupted, and Abdullah powerbombed Williams through the timekeeper's table! The referee called for the bell to disqualify Abdullah The Butcher & the Texas Hangmen. WINNER: Rat Pack(Ted DiBiase--0 fatigue, Steve Williams--3 fatigues & Jim Duggan--0 fatigue) by disqualification over Abdullah The Butcher--0 fatigue & Texas Hangmen(Killer--0 fatigue & Psycho--0 fatigue) when Abdullah powerbombed Williams through the timekeeper's table
MATCH 8: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Bruiser Brody(World Champion) vs. Alexis Smirnoff in a LAST MAN STANDING MATCH: Brody wanted this match to avenge losses to Smirnoff in a tag team match and a TV Title Match, both on the Midnight Special, during Rebel Wrestling's 1st Anniversary Week. Smirnoff started off strong by hitting Brody with HEART PUNCH, but it was too early in the match to keep Brody down for the 10-count. Brody made a comeback and unleashed all his fury on his Russian rival. Brody busted open Smirnoff with a JUMPING KNEE DROP right to the head! Brody later threw Smirnoff out of the ring and grabbed his chain. Brody wrapped the chain around his fist and repeatedly punched Smirnoff in the head to make the bleeding worse. Smirnoff was able to make a comeback, and he hit Brody with HEART PUNCH that drew blood. Smirnoff continued to have his way with Brody. Does the Russian have Brody's number? No! Brody wouldn't stay down. He kept getting back up before the referee could complete the 10-count. Brody was able to fight back, and he eventually hit twisting vertical suplex to put Smirnoff down for the 10-count. WINNER: Bruiser Brody--6 fatigues beat Alexis Smirnoff--10 fatigues in a Last Man Standing Match to retain Rebel Wrestling World Championship
Cornette: "Bruiser Brody removes all doubt as to who's the better man between him & Smirnoff." Lano: "Join us next week as Road Warriors & Paul Ellering defend the Six-Man Tag Team Titles against Nick Bockwinkel, Ray Stevens & Bobby Heenan. Also, Johnny Mantell of The Highwaymen goes one-on-one with Four Horseman manager J.J. Dillon. Wait, I'm getting word that something's going on in the back."
The backstage camera shows unconscious security guards in the hallway outside the office of Commissioner Lou Thesz. The cameraman enters the office where a bloody Thesz is being attacked by the mysterious Dark Horseman! The masked man repeatedly hits Thesz in the ribs with a branding iron. Then he hits Thesz in the back of the legs with the branding iron that brings the Commissioner to his knees. Dark Horseman raises the branding iron in the air and drives it into Thesz' chest! Thesz screams as he gets branded with the 4H symbol of Four Horsemen. Dark Horseman looks into the camera and raises 4 fingers as he walks out of the office leaving a bloody & broken Thesz behind.

Street picked up the scissors and looked at Valiant sleeping on the mat. Street raised Valiant to a seated position...and cut off locks of Valiant's hair! Street grabbed a mic and then he slapped Valiant and said, "Wake up, Sleeping Ugly! Look at you. You're worthless. You're pathetic. I could've cut off all of your hair and you wouldn't have known it. Rock and Roll Over topdollar my man! Just got caught up on all things Rebel Wrestling. The core brand keeps on branding - literally! The intrigue about "The Dark Horse" in the Horsemen is superb. And let's hear it for Mr. Saturday Night!! Fantastic defense by Brody. I hope Thesz finds out who the culprit is - and I hope he recruits some allies & unleashes his old school agony on his ass! Well done as usual my friend!

Thanks for your kind words, Bri! Love the Rock And Roll Over comment since Kiss is my all-time favorite band.(That album had Calling Dr. Love & Hard Luck Woman for those of you not in the Kiss Army) I always thought the Four Horseman should have branded somebody--especially when Barry Windham joined the group--so I knew that I wanted to introduce that in my fed. Also, the Dark Horseman mystery won't last much longer if Lou Thesz has anything to say about it. Funny you should mention Thesz finding out the real identity of the Dark Horseman and getting some allies. I just finished writing the next Saturday Night Special which addresses those very subjects.(Spoiler Alert!) Great minds think alike. The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Saturday Night Special train known as Bruiser Brody just keeps on rolling right along! Thanks again, my friend. As Bartles & Jaymes once said: We appreciate your support!

Williams tried to smash Abdullah's head into the table, but Abdullah reversed it and smashed Williams' head into the table. It didn't break so Abdullah set up two tables on top of each other inside the ring. Join us next week as Barry Windham defends the National Championship against Randy Savage in our Main Event. Wait a minute, I'm getting word that we have a videotaped message from Lou Thesz."
The video plays on television and on the screen above the entrance ramp. Thesz: "I hereby resign as Rebel Wrestling Commissioner. I'm resigning so I can return to Rebel Wrestling as a wrestler, but I won't be alone!"(He's joined by Rebel Wrestling International Commissioner The Destroyer & Rebels Of Honor Commissioner Diamond Dallas Page) Destroyer: "I hereby resign as RWI Commissioner. And now, I'd like to introduce the new Commissioner of both Rebel Wrestling and the entire Rebel Wrestling Network--Mr. Theodore R. Long." Long:(Walks up to Thesz, Destroyer & DDP and shakes their hands)"Call me 'Teddy", playa. Holla holla, Rebel Wrestling fans! I want you to all know that I'm going to be a commissioner for the people. That's why I'm making not one, but two tag team matches for next week. The Road Warriors will face Heenan Family members Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens. Also, Scott Casey & Sam Houston of The Highwaymen will take on Tully Blanchard & Larry Zbyszko of The Four Horsemen in a No Disqualification Match with no one at ringside. If anyone interferes, they'll be fired on the spot! Speaking of Horsemen, the mysterious Dark Horseman will be in the Main Event in 2 weeks in Orlando, Florida. His opponent will be none other than the Cauliflower Alley Club's very own Lou Thesz! Do you feel me, playa?" Thesz: "Oh, I feel you all right, Teddy. And in 2 weeks, the Dark Horseman's going to feel me too.(He raises his fists in a fighting stance)I know who Dark Horseman is. He whispered in my ear when he attacked me last week. He said, 'I'm better than you, and you know it. You're not in the same league as me. Never have been and never will. To a nicer guy this beating couldn't have happened to!'. In 2 weeks, I'll unmask the Dark Horseman on live TV." Long: "Good luck, Lou. I'll be in Jacksonville, Florida, next week for Rebel Wrestling's Saturday Night Special.
