Fury Wrestling will be holding their first card on December 8th, 2018 entitled - “It Begins!” It will be a loaded show with superstars from all over the world coming together to compete in a one night tournament to determine the first Fury Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. Competitors in the tournament are -

“Bad Boy” Joey Janela -versus- “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander
Match Notes - It was a great back and forth match with a bunch of near falls. The fans were into the match the whole time. Early on Josh Alexander hit a twisting tombstone for a near fall. “Bad Boy” Joey Janela nearly had Alexander submitting but Alexander kept getting to the ropes. Janela hit a Double Foot Stomp for a near fall and then put the cross face on in the middle of the ring making Josh Alexander tap out. “Bad Boy” Joey Janela moves on to the next round.
Winner - “Bad Boy” Joey Janela
Matt Sydal -versus- Ricochet
Match Notes - The match started off with a slow pace but then picked up. Both wrestlers got a few offense moves in before Matt Sydal got Ricochet down in the center of the ring. This allowed Matt Sydal to climb to the top turnbuckle and hit the Shooting Sydal Press for the clean win. Matt Sydal moves on to the next round in the tournament where he will meet “Bad Boy” Joey Janela.

Jushin Liger -versus- Kenny Omega
Match Notes - It was a really fast paced match with a lot of action. Jushin Liger put on a good show but Omega hit Aoi Shoudou for a near fall. Omega then hit Croyt’s Wrath for the clean win to move onto the next round in the tournament. Jushin Liger received a “Please Come Back!” chant from the rowdy fans. Liger bowed to each side of the ring and then shook Kenny Omega’s hand and then exited the ring as the fans clapped and cheered.

Jerry Lynn -versus- “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen
Match Notes - It was a fast paced match that had the fans into it the whole time. Jerry Lynn went on the attack early on after hitting some really big moves. Kevin Steen kicked out of two Cradle Pile Drivers but could not kick out of the third Cradle Pile Driver of the match. After the match, Jerry Lynn went to shake Steen’s hand but Steen flipped him off and headed backstage. The fans cheered for Jerry Lynn bringing the show to intermission.

“Bad Boy” Joey Janela -versus- Matt Sydal
Match Notes - Matt Sydal and Joey Janela had a great back and forth match. Janela got in some good offense early on but Matt Sydal got the victory with a Shooting Sydal Press on Janela to advance to the next round. Joey Janela received a standing ovation for his performance and the fans appreciated his efforts. Some fans were let down because they were looking for Joey Janela to move on to the next round. Matt Sydal got a big pop for his win over The Bad Boy.

Kenny Omega -versus- Jerry Lynn
Match Notes - Kenny Omega and Jerry Lynn had a fast paced match that saw some good offense from both wrestlers. The veteran Jerry Lynn was too much for the young Kenny Omega and defeated him with a Cradle Pile Driver to advance to the finals of the Fury Wrestling Championship Tournament. Kenny Omega looked good out there but it was Jerry Lynn who walked out with the victory.

Fury Wrestling World Championship Match
Matt Sydal -versus- Jerry Lynn
Match Notes - Jerry Lynn had a very competitive championship match. Early on Jerry Lynn hit a Cradle Pile Driver but Matt Sydal managed to kick out. Later on in the bout Jerry Lynn hit another Cradle Pile Driver for the win and the championship.
Winner and NEW Fury Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion -Jerry Lynn!
After the Match as Jerry Lynn was celebrating his victory with the fans Matt Sydal grabbed a steel chair from under the ring and smashed Jerry Lynn in the back of the head with it. He then took the Fury Wrestling World Championship Belt and held it in the air over the fallen Jerry Lynn. He then tossed the belt onto Jerry Lynn and then walked to the backstage area while the fans booed. Jerry Lynn got up with a bloody face, grabbed his championship belt and headed backstage to end the show.
After getting brutally attacked by Matt Sydal, Jerry Lynn is looking for revenge on Matt Sydal. Sydal was unavailable for comment. Jerry Lynn has challenged Matt Sydal in a No Disqualification match for the Winter Wars card for the Fury Wrestling World Heavyweight championship.
