Totally stoked by AJ's big win over Johnny Wrestling... But like our friend, Crossbones, a little disappointed that RVD was handed such a beating by Steen... Awesome stuff, as always! I am right there with you Pariah! I'm a big fan Johnny Wrestling but a slightly bigger fan of A.J. Styles. But man did Steen run roughshod over Van Dam. This tournament is a lot of fun and all of us talking about the results (of all of our and other promoters feds) is really where it's all at for me. Styles is in good shape - looking forward to see how it goes for him from here. Very glad you're in the seats compadre!

I always look forward to how you respond. The girls will pop up periodically to comment but you never know which fed I'll let them check up.

The top eight in the standings are tightening up. I'm really looking forward to the battle of undefeated stars, The Sandman vs. Michael Elgin. The winner there will be in a great spot. I love seeing Tursas paired with Jim Cornette and I am looking forward to him gaining revenge for Cornette by going after Kevin Steen. Great action, and storylines, as always my friend.

Mornin cruefan68! You know ordinarily, I would think Michael Elgin would obliterate The Sandman - but with the way The Sandman has been wrestling it's really tough to say, which is awesome! Very stoked brother you are enjoying the Tursas/Cornette & Steen storyline. After Cornette was kidnapped by Corino & Jacobs (under the instructions of Steen) and shanghaied into becoming a Malaysian sex slave, for folks with extremely exotic tastes - Cornette was really pissed. But even madder than him about the whole thing is Tursas - who once he found out about this through the wrestling grapevine - had to get involved, help out and go to bat for Cornette - who Tursas always considered a Legends legend. Most of this next chapter has been written I just have to finish it up I am hoping at some point either today or tomorrow. Had a lot of fun writing up this chapter. Along with the battle of the undefeateds on this card, on the card after this one, chapter 17 the other battle of undefeateds is the main event. Always grateful you are a part of this!

A Billion Reasons...(A Tournament / Fed?)... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Chapter 16)
(15th night of tournament matches): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Sami Callihan ( 1 - 2 ) vs Hangman Adam Page ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
2. Eddie Kingston ( 1 - 2 ) vs Bryan Danielson ( 1 - 2 - 1 Elimination )
3. Jay Briscoe ( 2 - 1 ) vs Sabu ( 2 - 1 )
4. The Sandman ( 3 - 0 ) vs Michael Elgin ( 3 - 0 )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Dark Menace & Les Thatcher: --------------------------------------------------------------
Les Thatcher describes the previous nights matches to The Dark Menace...as per usual...from within "The Dungeon"...The Dark Menace is sitting in his second guest chair next to Les Thatcher...and is once again offering both whiskey...and coffee...and now Irish coffee...as alternatives...
Les Thatcher seems to think and feel that...The Dark Menaces anxieties are on the rise...it's obvious...that he isn't sleeping...(or sleeping very little)...and although he appears calm at first...there's definitely an intensity about him...like someone who is trying to force themselves...to relax...
During the time that The Dark Menace was preparing some Irish coffee for the two of them...Thatcher was sporadically...upside down reading...what The Dark Menace had written on a piece of parchment...most of it was very tough to read...and seemed to be errant thoughts..on several varieties of subjects...like it was written throughout the course of the night...but at the center of the page it read:
1. The Equalizer 2. Clinch 3. Shoot 4. ?
Like he is...considering adding a fourth man to a stable or something...thought Thatcher...then he saw written below this the name...Tyler Black...with two question marks next to his name...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Sami Callihan defeated Hangman Adam Page via Pinfall courtesy of his Forearm To Remember at the 6 minute mark...
Sami Callihan - (2 fatigue & 1 Near Disqualification - Repeatedly Blasting Pages Face Into A Ringside Table)
Hangman Adam Page - (5 fatigue With Blood Loss)
(With a lot at stake and both wrestlers on the edge of tournament elimination, they tore into each other in a back and forth fashion until Callihan escalated the match outside the ring. After hitting A Suicide Dive that propelled both of them over the ring barrier and into the seats, Callihan beat the daylights out of Page until he passed out - Page had to be woken up in order to be told he was out of the tournament).
▪ Hangman Adam Page has been eliminated from the tournament ▪
▪ Although Page's future here at the moment is uncertain...he was later seen talking to someone who wanted to keep a low profile...against the far castle wall opposite from the arena...later determined to be Kenny Omega▪
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Bryan Danielson defeated Eddie Kingston via Pinfall courtesy of his Dragon Suplex at the 9 minute mark...
Bryan Danielson - (1 fatigue)
Eddie Kingston - (5 fatigue With Blood Loss & 1 Near Disqualification - Repeatedly Ramming Danielson's Head Onto The Top Of The Ring Barrier)
(A tenacious effort on both sides where Danielson unleashed his full arsenal and Kingston refused to give up, fighting him tooth and nail. Temporarily Kingston looked to have turned the tide however back inside the ring, Danielson turned it around and softened him up with a REGALPLEX, MIXED MMA ELBOWS and CATTLE MUTILATION before finding just the right move to finally put Kingston away).
▪ Eddie Kingston has been eliminated from the tournament ▪
▪ Kingston's manager Konnan was going to rush the ring to interfere...until The Equalizer shook his head at him...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Jay Briscoe defeated Sabu via Disqualification. Sabu was disqualified for Hitting Briscoe With A Steel Chair Wrapped In Barb Wire at the 12 minute mark...
Jay Briscoe - (5 fatigue With Blood Loss & 1 Near Disqualification - Excessive Brawling Outside Ring)
Sabu - (1 fatigue & 3 Near Disqualifications - Excessive Brawling Outside Ring, Gut Wrench Suplexing Briscoe Outside The Ring Into A Cameraman & An Arabian Facebuster)
(Sabu initially executed his CAMEL CLUTCH followed by a +5 Version of his TRIPLE JUMP MOONSAULT but soon discovered that not only was that not enough, Briscoe fought back through split second reversals and near perfect JAY DRILLERS. Even as Rob Van Dam was howling at Sabu not to do it, it was too late, Sabu had frustratingly snapped, grabbing the chair he had stashed).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. The Sandman defeated Michael Elgin via Count Out. Elgin was counted out after Sandman Broke his Singapore Cane Across Elgin's Knee Outside The Ring at the 15 minute mark...
The Sandman - (0 fatigue & 3 Near Disqualifications - Three SINGAPORE CANES)
Michael Elgin - (5 fatigue With Blood Loss)
(Knowing that he had to be an offensive machine in order to compete with Elgin's strength, Sandman did just that. Although Sandman commanded the offense in this one, Elgin kept kicking out and coming after him so Sandman then decided...to go for the legs instead).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Takeaways from - The Callihan Chronicles:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(This installment occured back at its usual location...Les Thatcher's and Phantasy's chambers...present are...Les...Phantasy...Mike Quackenbush and of course...Sami Callihan...the four of them discuss...and drink...much):
1. The Contracts: --------------------------------
Les Thatcher & Co. read and re-read they're contracts well...Phantasy suprised them all when she started looking at the contracts while holding them upside down...and even used a magnifying effect on her phone...looking not only at the verbiage...but even between the lines and paragraphs...often intensifying the magnification in order to do so...
The majority of the other wrestlers quickly signed the contracts...hoping to be absolutely done with this..."Sneaky Bastard"...of an owner...some...specifically...Tyler Black...A.R. Fox and A.J. Styles...had outside council first sign the non disclosure agreements in order to examine the documents...none of the outside counselors detected any foul play at work here...and these wrestlers told Les Thatcher & Co. the same....
2. The Conditions Around The Tournament: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the easing of restraints with regards to leaving the island, entertaining guests within reason...and once again being connected to social media and the internet...the tensions and overall mood improved...not only amongst the wrestlers...but the staff as well...
Although this tournament was intended to remain a secret...with the results released via ppv all at once...word always gets around...it has now started to become sheik...to try to gain access...to this exclusive island:
Mike Quackenbush (to all) - Despite The Dark Menaces intentions...you can't strangle...or subdue life...at least not for long...
With this evolving situation...a few things have changed...Thatcher has increased the security staff...on account of an increased presence at the castle...a mixture of some rich fans...a few transients...and even a groupie or two...
And The Dark Menace is even more reclusive...than before...
During the discussion...Les noticed that...Phantasy seems more and more...not just preoccupied...but more like haunted...by something...
Although he knew that...she didn't want to go there...he also knew that at some point...he...would have to...
3. Supporting Dark Menace Forces : --------------------------------------------------------------------
Outside of Callihan, Quackenbush, Thatcher and Phantasy...and the jury...is still out on Phantasy helping...because she really want's nothing to do with DFM anymore...most of the wrestlers that they all spoke to told them...to go tell The Dark Menace...to go scratch...but some of the wrestlers...after giving it some consideration said that within reason...they would help...Michael Elgin seemed to be the most willing of the bunch...
4. Some Probable Fed Signings: ----------------------------------------------------------------
According to Mike Quackenbush...some of the wrestlers who have preliminarily agreed to signing with a possible fed here so far are:
▪ Women's Division - Jessicka Havoc.
▪ Hardcore Division - Brodie Lee (with Cheeseburger) & Al Snow (with Head)
▪ World Tag Team Division - B.J. Whitmer & Dennis Martinez (with Kevin Sullivan).
▪ World Champion Division - Adam Pearce, A.R. Fox, Rob Van Dam...(Mike Quackenbush also said that...per word that he had gotten...oddly enough...from The Dark Menace...Tyler Black is a yes as well...for The World Champion Division).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tournament Scoreboard:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Sandman - ( 4 - 0 )
Tyler Black - ( 3 - 0 ) Adam Cole - ( 3 - 0 )
A.J. Styles - ( 3 - 1 ) Dan Severn - ( 3 - 1 ) Mike Quackenbush - ( 3 - 1 ) Kevin Steen - ( 3 - 1 ) Jay Briscoe - ( 3 - 1 ) Michael Elgin - ( 3 - 1 )
Brodie Lee - ( 2 - 1 ) Justin Credible - ( 2 - 1 )
A.R. Fox - ( 2 - 2 - 2 Eliminations ) Bryan Danielson - ( 2 - 2 - 2 Eliminations )
Claudio Castagnoli - ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination ) Homicide - ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination ) Sami Callihan - ( 2 - 2 - 1 Elimination)
Johnny Gargano - ( 2 - 2 ) Jerry Lynn - ( 2 - 2 ) Davey Richards - ( 2 - 2 ) Rob Van Dam - ( 2 - 2 ) Sabu - ( 2 - 2 )
Al Snow - ( 1 - 2 ) Konnan - ( 1 - 2 )
THE EQUALIZER - ( 3 - 0 - 1 Elimination ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sugar Dunkerton - ( 0 - 3 ) Jigsaw - ( 0 - 3 ) Adam Pearce - ( 0 - 3 ) Cheeseburger - ( 1 - 3 ) Jay Lethal - ( 1 - 3 ) Lance Hoyt - ( 1 - 3 ) Chuck Taylor - ( 1 - 3 - 1 Elimination ) Adam Page - ( 1 - 3 ) Eddie Kingston - ( 1 - 3 )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reasonable Items:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The Global Wrestling Alliance - 1960: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Les Thatcher and Phantasy had just returned...they had both been gone...in present time only for about three hours...per Les's request...Phantasy had taken them both back to 1960...specifically to Sunnyside Queens in New York City...to Sunnyside Gardens...which isn't there anymore...but was once the home of The Global Wrestling Alliance (p.s. - a former Legends fed of mine)...
They had met him just outside Sunnyside Gardens after he had finished an extensive training session...he had just lost a huge two out of three fall match to Rikidozan...at The Polo Grounds...two nights before...
Les definitely had to..."Ugly Up"...Phantasy...because they way she she looked...coupled with the way she dressed in 2019...would have caused multiple accidents and fist fights...
After hours & hours of talk in 1960...eventually...Les's friend had asked them if...they could come back here tomorrow night and meet him...
After they had been back at the castle for a bit...
Phantasy - I think...he's thinking...of coming back with us here...tomorrow night...
Les Thatcher - You know something...you may be right...when he pulled you aside before we left...what did he say to you?...
Phantasy - He asked me if I had a sister...
Les Thatcher (smiling) - What did you say?...
Phantasy (now also smiling) - I said that's flattering...but no...then he said...cousin...how about a cousin?...
2. Singapore Screwjob Unlimited: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JESUS CHRIST!...WHAT THE HELL...IS THAT!!!!...
Was the general warning cry...as they all tried...in vain...to subdue Tursas...who had just shoulder blocked the gate open and partially...off its hinges...his raw adrenaline was just off the charts...he started ripping through the security staff and tossing them around...like a pissed off fully grown gorilla...tossing piles of great grandparents out of its way...Shouting...WHERE IS STEEN?...over and over...
It wasn't until The Equalizer and Michael Elgin got involved...when the tide started to turn...and it really wasn't until...Jim Cornette, Bobby Heenan and Stan Lane showed up 5 minutes after him...that Tursas really started to listen to anybody...
After some serious residual confrontations...and some risky comprises...the chaos eventually subsided...and Jim Cornette...flanked by his Midnight Express...had a discussion with Les Thatcher...flanked by Sami Callihan and Mike Quackenbush...
An immediate agreement and concession had been made...between both sides...regardless of what Kevin Steen...might think about it...
Jim Cornette immediately realized...when he threatened to call in the authorities on Steen...and even this whole show here...Les Thatcher & Co wanted...or even more importantly thought Cornette...needed...to avoid any law enforcement or police entanglements...he could even see the panic...in their eyes...
Cornette now...instinctively...knew...there's definitely some other...underlying...seriously strange shit...going on here...this wasn't just a normal desire to avoid the cops...there was something else...for the time being...blowing the whistle on Steen and this tournament...will serve him well...thought he...as a bottomless treasure trove...of leverage...
3. The Killer Elite Squad: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dylan McDermott received The Dark Menaces letter...and read it out loud to himself as well as Ms. Gargano:
Mr. McDermott, (if that is indeed your real name), the answer of your offer to purchase Castle Island is a resounding...No.
However.
Since you are affiliated with the sport of professional wrestling, then you must be a bit of a gambler by nature, with this being so - risky an undertaking.
If you can scrape up an eight man tag team - then I challenge your team to wrestle mine - in a tag elimination bout.
If my team wins, then you tell me, what happened to - and more importantly - where is - The Unfound.
(And if you are who you say you are - then you know exactly...what I'm talking about...)
If your team wins...then I will give you...Castle Island.
If you agree, then I will have my lawyer...draft up a contract...for the match...
(It was signed:
The Lord...of Castle Island...
Ms. Gargano - What...the hell...is The Unfound?...
Dylan McDermott turned away from Ms. Gargano for a second...partially to absorb this response...and partially...to think about...how exactly he wanted...to answer her...
4. Bleacher Creatures: -----------------------------------------------
The two men who sat in the higher back seats of this makeshift 400 seat arena...rather enjoyed the 15 minutes of the absolute ground warfare...that they had just witnessed involving Tursas running amok through the castle...they didn't get involved...although they most certainly could have...they actually viewed it...more along the lines of it being...a sociological test...if you will:
Mark Briscoe - Thatcher's got...balls...he threw his...tiny...old ass shoulder...right into the middle...of that big dicks...chest...
Jay Briscoe - Yep...
Mark Briscoe - I can back...a dude like that...
Jay Briscoe - Yep...
Mark Briscoe - Whatever weird crazy ass...shit...is happening here...I want in...you'll talk to them?...about us?...
Jay Briscoe (after thinking for a bit...as if he was just finishing up...making a final decision) - Yep...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 16th nights matches: ------------------------------------------------
1. Al Snow ( 1 - 2 ) vs Konnan ( 1 - 2 )
2. Brodie Lee ( 2 - 1 ) vs Justin Credible ( 2 - 1 )
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
IN A SPECIAL NON - TOURNAMENT MATCH:
3. Kevin Steen ( 3 - 1 ) vs Tursas
NO DISQUALIFICATIONS OR INTERFERENCES
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
4. Adam Cole ( 3 - 0 ) vs Tyler Black ( 3 - 0 )
▪A bet exists between Les Thatcher and The Dark Menace regarding the outcome of this tournament match - If Adam Cole wins then Les Thatcher gets to ask The Dark Menace absolutely anything he wants - If Tyler Black wins then The Dark Menace gets to do the asking▪

Big upset by Sandman no matter how you look at it. Always enjoy an AmDrag win and the usual craziness afterwards is always appreciated.

I've had Black from the beginning so he's obviously my pick against Cole. Also have a lot of players in the game now. I'm intrigued to see how all the pieces fit. Looking forward to the next chapter for sure.

The Adam Cole( 3 - 0 ) vs. Tyler Black( 3 - 0 ) match is going to be a barn burner. I will have to go with Black on this one. TYLER BACK BABY! Morning Crossbones! There definitely seems to be a lot of support for Tyler Black and I have to think that he's a big favorite to win it all. We will have to wait and see. Out of the 32 who started out 22 are left and it looks like in the next round of tournament action (chapters 18 - 20) a substantial amount of wrestlers will be knocked out. If Tyler Black does win this tournament, I just hope he splits the prize 50/50 with Michael Elgin as they both said they would. Always appreciate your support and being in the seats bro!
