WARRIOR Wrestling – Block 1.1
Saturday, May 4, 2019
We are live from Hara Arena, 1001 Shiloh Springs Road, Dayton, OH – Your hosts are Mark Lowrance and Paul Ellering
Paul and Mark go over the card and promise us an interview with Freddie Blassie and Mildred Burke that will shock us. But first, the results of the dark matches with Paul and Mark
MARK
In our opening contest, Burn takes down Jessica James via the LADY KILLER at 7:44
PAUL
Burn controlled most of the first half, but Jessica controlled most of the second half. Jessica making a mistake sending Burn outside, as she immediately gets planted with a spinebuster. Burn sends her back in, hits the LADY KILLER, and that was all she wrote for Jessica James, as Burn gets the all important first win in the Qualifying Bracket
MARK
In the opening Men's contest, Lazer with a bit of a shocker defeating Jeff Cobb by submission at 6:42
PAUL
Lazer fought Jeff Cobb pretty evenly and hit him with a lot of unorthodox offense, not allowing him to get into any sort of groove. He would score three quick near falls in rapid succession, and by that time Cobb was rattled. Lazer ends it by first sending Cobb outside, then locking in the LAZERLOCK. Cobb nearly escaped, but Lazer cinched down harder, forcing Cobb to submit. Lazer now 1-0 in the Men's Qualifying Bracket.
MARK
Mia Yim dominates in a short match against Xandra Bale with a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER at 2:51
PAUL
Mia on her game today, dominating inside and outside the ring, with Xandra Bale getting in little to no offense whatsoever
MARK
Sam Houston over Biff Busick at 5:11 with the BULLDOG
PAUL
Sam was able to match Biff's aggression, especially when it came to outside the ring, as he used table smashes several times successfully. Biff earning a yellow card for forcefully pushing a referee, and Sam took advantage
MARK
Nikki Roxx scores a gritty victory over Scorn at 5:43 with the Discus Elbow
PAUL
As she usually does, Scorn starts strong with a quick near fall, but it seemed that when they went outside for the first time, things started to tip in Nikki's favor. They would go outside again, with Nikki cutting Scorn a bit with a well-thrown chair, and a little later the second of two Discus Elbows would KO Scorn for the victory. Scorn was cut slightly by the thrown chair and then knocked silly by the elbow strike, but returned to the locker room under her own power.
MARK
In a bloody brawl for the ages, Don Leo Jonathan and Gran Akuma go to a 15-minute draw
PAUL
Both men were gashed deeply outside the ring thanks to tables and guardrails, but it did not really slow either one of them down. As you said, an absolute bloodfest that was applauded with a standing ovation by the WARRIOR faithful. Both men needing assistance to the back after the match, but they both say they will be here next week.
Paul and Mark then send us up to Gavin Loudspeaker, and it's time for live action!
“THE REAL DEAL” SELINA MAJORS VS PRINCESS VICTORIA
Selina with a fast start, scoring several near falls on Victoria early, but a game Victoria keeps kicking out. Victoria sends Selina outside and opens a minor cut on Selina with the help of a table. Shortly thereafter Victoria opens another cut with a guardrail smash, drawing her first public warning. Undaunted, Victoria keeps up the outside attack. Back in the ring, a flying tackle by Victoria is reversed into a Stun Gun by Selena, and she scores the pin with a GEORGIA BULLDOG at 4:39
WINNER BY PINFALL – Selina Majors
AARON BIGGS VS BARRY WINDHAM
This match would spend a lot of time outside the ring, as Biggs managed to cut Windham deeply on the edge of a table. Despite the blood, Barry managed to draw blood on Biggs, thanks to a guardrail. Back in the ring, Barry's superior wrestling skills were the difference, and he took the match with a LARIAT at 6:51
WINNER BY PINFALL – Barry Windham
MADISON RAYNE VS PHANTASY
Like the previous match, this one spent a lot of time outside the ring. Despite getting cut deeply on a table edge courtesy of Phantasy, Madison Rayne fought back and would get the pinfall with RAYNE CHECK at 7:00
WINNER BY PINFALL – Madison Rayne
“MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE VS FINLAY
In a tough, gritty performance, Finlay grounded Savage with multiple submission holds and repeated applications of the Celtic Knot, and took the match at 11:44 with a Backbreaker
WINNER BY PINFALL – Finlay
“CRAZY” MARY DOBSON VS VEDA SCOTT
This degenerated quickly into a brawl that spent most of its time outside the ring. Nonetheless, Mary Dobson made the most of it despite a cut and ground out a pinfall victory over Veda Scott at 11:05 with the KAIJU KILLER
WINNER BY PINFALL – Mary Dobson
“HANDSOME” HARLEY RACE VS “IRON MASTER” TYLER BATE
After getting an early near fall with Bop N Bang, Tyler Bate would have little further success against Handsome Harley, as Race used a DIVING HEADBUTT, multiple VERTICAL SUPLEXES, and finally his patented PILEDRIVER to put Tyler Bate away at 4:41
WINNER BY PINFALL – Harley Race at 4:41
INJURIES
Scorn had a cut and some blood loss
Don Leo Jonathan had a minor cut
Gran Akuma had a cut and a major gash, resulting in significant blood loss
Selina Majors had two minor cuts
Aaron Biggs had a minor cut
Barry Windham had a deep cut and was quite bloody
Madison Rayne had a deep cut and was also quite bloody
Mary Dobson with a minor cut
All are expected to be back next week
We go to Miami Valley Hospital where Scott is with Freddie Blassie and Mildred Burke in a recreation area. Scott welcomes both to the interview. Freddie says he doesn't usually talk about the fans much, but he wants to thank all the pencil neck geeks and the little pencil neck geeks as well for sending him get well wishes and visiting him in the hospital. Mildred Burke echoes the same sentiments as Freddie Blassie. As Scott goes to ask another question, we hear a call for an ER doctor STAT. Mildred points behind Scott and says is that who I think it is? We turn around and we see a horribly bloody Brute being dragged into the emergency room by two unidentified men, barely able to stand. The ER doctor asks Brute what happened, and all Brute can mumble is “my locker” before collapsing on the floor......
We fade out to the end of show press conference
Roddy Piper is overseeing the press conference. He says they are trying to get to the bottom of what happened to Brute and he will have no further comment at this time. Roddy does announce that this Wednesday in the Ballarena portion of the Hara Complex, Wednesday WARRIOR will premiere and will have the following matches to begin Block 1.2
Jessica James VS Amazonia
Lazer VS Giant Azuma
Xandra Bale VS Kelly Klein
Sam Houston VS The Crusher
Princess Victoria VS Scorn
Barry Windham VS Don Leo Jonathan
Join us for Wednesday WARRIOR! We'll see you then!
